Six-person tag match set for WWE NXT

A new match has been added to the lineup for Tuesday’s edition of NXT.

Michin, Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows of The O.C. will wrestle OTM’s Jaida Parker, Bronco Nima, & Lucien Price in a six-person tag team match on the show.

“After weeks of hostility, brawls, and verbal attacks, O.T.M. and The O.C. will go to war in a Six-Person Mixed Tag Team Match THIS TUESDAY on #WWENXT!”

OTM is 2-0 in recent weeks over the OC. Nima & Price defeated Anderson & Gallows in a two-on-two tag on last week’s show and Parker defeated Michin two weeks ago in a street fight.

The announced lineup for the Tuesday, July 16 WWE NXT:

  • NXT North American Champion Oba Femi defends against Duke Hudson
  • The Rascalz (Wes Lee, Zachary Wentz & Trey Miguel) vs. Gallus (Mark Coffey, Joe Coffey & Wolfgang)
  • Brooks Jensen vs. Je’Von Evans
  • The O.C. (Michin, Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows) vs. OTM (Jaida Parker, Bronco Nima, & Lucien Price)

WWE NXT video highlights: The O.C. invades

After NXT’s invasions of Raw and SmackDown, The O.C. came to NXT looking for retribution last night.

AJ Styles, Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson attacked The Undisputed Era in an angle before the show went on the air. They then opened the episode with a promo, with it setting up a six-man tag main event after Tommaso Ciampa, Keith Lee & Matt Riddle challenged Styles, Gallows & Anderson.

The match ended in a no contest after Finn Balor and Adam Cole got involved. Balor hit the 1916 DDT on Riddle on the outside. Styles put up the Too Sweet hand signals and Balor responded with the Bullet Club finger guns.

Styles went to hit the Styles Clash on Ciampa, but Cole ran in and gave him a superkick. Cole then hit the Last Shot on Ciampa. Cole and Balor had a staredown as the show closed.

Two matches set for WWE Raw, Ric Flair to appear

WWE has made a few announcements for Monday’s episode of Raw.

The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) will make their main roster in-ring debuts on the show. They’ll team with a mystery partner against The O.C. (United States Champion AJ Styles, Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson).

The six-man tag match comes after The O.C. attacked The Street Profits on Raw this past Monday.  The Street Profits later cut a promo where they challenged The O.C. to a match, with Dawkins and Ford saying they’ll keep their partner a mystery.

Sin Cara will return to televised in-ring action as he faces Andrade on Monday’s Raw.

Ric Flair is set to appear on the show and reveal the final member of his team for Crown Jewel. Team Hogan (Roman Reigns, Rusev, Ricochet, Ali & Chad Gable) will face Team Flair (Randy Orton, Baron Corbin, Bobby Lashley, Shinsuke Nakamura, and a partner) at the October 31 event in Saudi Arabia.

Monday’s Raw is taking place at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio. WWE has announced that Seth Rollins will appear on the show and address the angle where he burned down Bray Wyatt’s Firefly Fun House last week. Rey Mysterio will also appear on the episode.

Vince McMahon calls for rewrite of SmackDown, Kingston vs. Styles set

UPDATE —

WWE has changed the lineup for tonight’s SmackDown again.

After announcing The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E & Xavier Woods) vs. The O.C. (AJ Styles, Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson) for the show earlier today, it will now be WWE Champion Kingston (w/ Big E and Woods) vs. United States Champion Styles (w/ Gallows and Anderson) in a non-title match.

Dave Meltzer has confirmed that Vince McMahon called for a rewrite of the entire show for tonight. Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet first tweeted about the rewrite being called for.

SmackDown Tag Team Champions Big E & Woods vs. Drew McIntyre & Elias in a non-title match had originally been announced for tonight’s show over the weekend.

Gallows & Anderson defeated The Revival and The Usos in a triple threat match last night to win the Raw Tag Team titles.

Kingston is set to defend the WWE title against Randy Orton at SummerSlam on August 11, while Ricochet will challenge for Styles’ U.S. title at the pay-per-view.

Tonight’s SmackDown is taking place at the FedExForum in Memphis, Tennessee.
