Nikki Bella set for WWE Raw appearance next week

Nikki Bella will be back on WWE Raw next week.

The WWE Hall of Famer returned to the company on Monday’s show to promote next month’s all-women’s pay-per-view, Evolution 2. She was confronted by Liv Morgan, who took offense to Bella not including her when listing the top women in the division. The segment ended with Morgan hitting Bella with an ObLIVion.

Bella posted on social media Wednesday and revealed she’ll be at Raw next week in Green Bay.

Bella wrote:

“This reality show diva is still on cloud nine. Annnnd still feeling that ObLIVion… Ooooh Bella Army I can’t wait for Green Bay this Monday!! So grateful for all of you!! It’s just the beginning!”

Bella played a major role in the first Evolution pay-per-view in 2018, where she was defeated by Ronda Rousey in the main event.

Next week’s Raw will feature King and Queen of the Ring opening round four-ways. The show is scheduled for the Resch Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Show Recap —

Becky Lynch, Nikki Bella, Gunther, and Jey Uso (and son) were shown arriving.

There were highlights from Worlds Collide and Money in the Bank. As usual, these packages are meant to recap what happened—and tell you how big the events were. Among the clips they made sure to include was a shot of Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian in the crowd at MITB.

John Cena and CM Punk segment

Cena entered. He was introduced as the greatest of all time and the last real champion. Cena wore purple and orange to match the Phoenix Suns. (He still has Rise Above Hate and Never Give Up on his merch.) The show was ten minutes old by the time he spoke.

Cena said “truth” was a lie. The fans wasted their energy on a sideshow comedian whose greatest achievement was pretending to be him. (The crowd chanted, “We want Truth.”)

Cena asked if they thought those chants actually accomplished anything. The fans were all keyboard warriors and armchair activists who did not have the power to change anything. R-Truth was a gimmick they would not care about in a year.

Cena had limited time on his farewell tour. Nineteen dates remain. They were halfway done, and the fans shouldn’t waste their voice sending him the class clown. They should spend their energy sending him real competition. He’s already beaten their best by beating Truth, Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton.

CM Punk interrupted. Punk had a lot to get off his chest. He called it ironic that Cena, the boy scout, wanted to ruin wrestling and ruin the establishment that made him, while the punk-rock kid from Chicago was seemingly defending the establishment. Punk wanted to make it clear: he wasn’t defending the establishment.

Punk wasn’t defending TKO or the billionaires—he was defending the people. Maybe Cena was mad that the establishment picked him while the people didn’t. The people picked Punk in 2011 to be the voice of the voiceless.

Punk said Cena was wrong, claiming he hadn’t faced the best. Rhodes was the best they got, but Cena only won because he took cheap shots. Punk wasn’t about to kiss the ass of his “final boss,” because the people were Punk’s boss.

It was Punk’s job to give the people what they wanted, and if they wanted the truth, they would get Ron Killings.

It was time for Punk to teach Cena that he was only a spoke on the wheel, too. Punk recalled Cena saying he was sorry after pinning Punk at Elimination Chamber, after Seth Rollins stomped him. Cena knew what he did was wrong. He knew what he was doing was wrong. (The fans chanted, “You sold out.”)

Punk said Cena would spend the rest of his dates apologizing to the people for his actions. The title corrupted him. Punk knew it because it did the same to him in 2012. Punk had a list of goals when he returned, but winning the title wasn’t one of them because he was afraid of what he’d become if he did.

Everybody should want to be the champion, and only a few can accomplish it. Punk could now see he had to become a monster to defeat the monster. To people like Cena and Rollins, the belt meant power and control, but Punk thought it belonged to the people.

Punk said Cena had 18 dates left after today, and he would leave it up to Cena to pick the date that Punk takes the belt from him. Punk challenged him to do it tonight.

Cena said no, of course. Cena said Punk could follow him to Saudi Arabia so they could do it at Night of Champions. Punk said, “You’re on,” off-mic.

Seth Rollins entered (with his crew) to show off his MITB briefcase, and the segment ended.

(Punk claiming that it wasn’t his goal to win the championship until now feels like a total lie. It’s also kind of funny that he’s the one who now wants to save the title from someone else.)

********

Wade Barrett is on commentary tonight instead of Pat McAfee, who has the night off.

There was a graphic for the Queen of the Ring and King of the Ring tournaments. Cody Rhodes is among those on the men’s side, and Asuka is among those on the women’s side. There’s also a mystery person on the men’s side. The tournament finals will occur at Night of Champions. The winners earn a title match against their respective brand’s champion at SummerSlam.

Chad Gable cut a promo during the commercial break. He was pissed that neither he or El Grande Americano were in KOTR.

AJ Styles vs. Chad Gable (w/The Creed Brothers)

The opening match kicked off 31 minutes into the show, and they went to commercial 90 seconds into it. Styles overcame interference by the Creeds and multiple Gable ankle locks to hit a Styles Clash for the pinfall win.

Match result: AJ Styles defeated Chad Gable (7:57)

********

Backstage, Roxanne Perez suggested to Liv Morgan that they work together to ensure one of them wins. Morgan was not on board.

Queen of the Ring first round fatal four-way: Rhea Ripley vs. Kairi Sane vs. Roxanne Perez vs. Liv Morgan

Morgan reluctantly worked together with Perez. However, as they set up for a double superplex on Sane, Ripley got underneath and hit them with a double powerbomb. Sane followed with a flying forearm on Ripley for two.

Morgan and Perez worked together again to regain control. Morgan hit Sane with a backstabber, a move she does all the time, and Cole said it was an homage to Carlito. Ripley fired up and laid out everyone. Morgan tried to catch her off guard with an Oblivion, but Ripley caught her and hit a Rip-tide.

Ripley had it won, but Raquel Rodriguez appeared out of nowhere to pull Ripley out of the ring and break up the cover. As Ripley and Rodriguez “brawled,” Sane wiped them out with a dive.

Sane followed with an Insane Elbow on Morgan and seemingly had it won, but Perez caught Sane in a jackknife cover for the pinfall win. Roxanne Perez advances in the tournament.

There are a lot of big names in this tournament, and like with Ripley here, I think we can expect to see a lot of finishes like this one to save prevent them from advancing.

Match result: Roxanne Perez defeated Kairi Sane, Liv Morgan, and Rhea Ripley to advance in the Queen of the Ring tournament (12:52)

********

Lynch walked through the back ahead of a break and passed by Austin Theory and Grayson Waller as they argued.

There were more highlights from Worlds Collide, and a video package for tonight’s title main event.

********

There was a Nikki Bella video package.

Nikki met with Natalya and Maxxine Dupri backstage before speaking with Iyo Sky. Nikki put over Sky and how she carried herself as the champion. Sky thanked Nikki and said, “You paved the way for us.” (Another blatant lie.)

********

Becky Lynch segment, Bayley returns

Lynch entered with her new IC title belt. She wondered where her “You deserve it” chants were. She didn’t need to hear it because she knew she deserved it. She should be out there celebrating, especially since there are so few opportunities for her to celebrate something new. She’s already won everything and is a best-selling author. Now, she is the Women’s Intercontinental Champion.

This should be an opportunity to celebrate because this title was about opportunities. But the biggest opportunity this title ever got was Lynch winning it. She welcomed the belt to the big time and said it was now the biggest prize in the business.

She should have been celebrating with her hot husband and beautiful child, but she wasn’t because the disingenuous bird lady Lyra Valkyria ruined everything. Valkyria raised her hand so aggressively that Lynch thought she dislocated her shoulder. Lynch claimed Valkyria tried to kill her when she attacked her after putting the belt around her waist. Lynch called out Valkyria to do it properly this time.

Valkyria entered and walked out like an angry cartoon character. Bayley suddenly attacked Lynch from behind, and Valkyria was surprised to see her.

Lynch bailed but bumped into Valkyria. Valkyria shoved Lynch back into the ring, but she escaped before Bayley could hit her finisher.

********

Ron Killings / R-Truth segment

Killings entered in the same outfit he wore at MITB. He entered through the crowd and stood on the announce table.

Killings said: “Don’t let nobody tell you that you don’t matter. Don’t let nobody tell you that your voice doesn’t matter. They heard, they listened, they felt, and they understood. I am back—because of y’all.”

Killings reiterated that he was back because of them and was back for them. But he was back for himself, too. “Not only did you bring Truth back, you got me.”

They all loved R-Truth, but Truth could be too funny and forgiving. But he wasn’t. He felt different. He felt alive. He wasn’t a lie. He wasn’t a sideshow act. He wasn’t a gimmick.

He pulled out a pair of scissors (as the announcers backed away) and cut his hair completely off. The crowd chanted, “Holy shit.”

“The truth has set me free. I am Ron Killings. I am the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. Now put some respect on my name.”

The fans cheered as Killings walked away through the crowd.

********

The male members of Judgment Day met backstage. Finn Bálor thought it was strange that Dom was the only member in KOTR. Dom figured Bálor had a shot at MITB, but that didn’t work out, so he thought Bálor would be ok with him being in KOTR. JD McDonagh said Dom could win KOTR, while they could win back the tag titles. Bálor was all smiles and acted like he was happy with this.

Perez entered, and they congratulated her on the win. Morgan entered and was not in a good mood. Perez tried to claim she helped Morgan in the match by breaking up Sane’s pin. Morgan bluntly congratulated her and left.

Bálor told Dom he should speak to Morgan. Dom clearly didn’t want any part of this and scampered off for his match. Bálor was amused.

********

King of the Ring first round fatal four-way: Sami Zayn vs. Bron Breakker vs. Penta vs. Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio

It’s been a full 30 minutes since the previous match ended. After all the talking and backstage segments, they went to commercial one minute into this match.

Zayn wiped out Breakker with a dive, Penta wiped out Zayn with a dive, Dom wiped out Penta with a dive, and Breakker nailed Dom with a leaping clothesline off the apron and over the announce table. This led to a second commercial break, just 9 minutes into the match.

Zayn hit Penta with a sunset flip powerbomb during the break for two. After the break, Penta powerbombed Dom, and Breakker hit Zayn with a Frankensteiner. (Cole continues to attribute the name of that move to McAfee.) Penta hit Breakker with a DDT, and Dom tried to steal the pin, but Breakker kicked out.

Dom blocked Zayn’s Blue Thunder Bomb and went for three amigos, but Zayn blocked the final suplex and hit Blue Thunder for a nearfall. Penta hit Zayn with a Penta Driver, but Dom caught Penta in a schoolboy. The referee didn’t count the fall because Penta’s shoulders weren’t down (which you couldn’t really see), which sorta ruined the spot. Penta followed with a Canadian Destroyer on Dom for a nearfall.

Breakker sprinted around the ring and cut down Penta with a spear. LA Knight suddenly appeared and hit Breakker with BFT. (Remember what I said earlier?)

Back in the ring, Zayn gave Dom an exploder and Helluva Kick for the pinfall win. Sami Zayn advances.

This was fun. The crowd was hot and went nuts for the closing sequence and Zayn’s win. It felt like he needed a win like this, even if this is just the first round of a tournament. The crowd was into all four guys and really into Breakker’s offence.

Match result: Sami Zayn defeated Dominik Mysterio, Bron Breakker, and Penta to advance in the King of the Ring tournament (17:05)

********

Cathy Kelley interviewed Styles. He was pissed about losing last week and didn’t appreciate being disrespected by Paul Heyman. He didn’t like how Judgment Day or Dom conducted business, either. He left to deal with them.

Kelley approached New Day for an interview as they spoke to Waller. New Day cut their usual heel promo and didn’t have much to say.

********

Zayn bumped into Karrion Kross during a break. Kross was happy that Zayn won on his own while taking his message to heart. Zayn had no idea what he was talking about. Kross said he used Knight’s interference to get ahead. He did what it took to win. The real Sami Zayn was a manipulator.

Zayn said he won because he was good enough, just like he was good enough to win the world championship.  Zayn warned him to stop bothering him, because he was also good enough to handle him.

There was an Asuka return video package.

Next week on Raw:

  • King of the Ring first round fatal four-way: Sheamus vs. Rusev vs. Bronson Reed vs. a mystery opponent

Nikki Bella segment

Nikki was happy to be back and thanked her fans. She was here to talk about something special next month. She announced an all-woman PLE: WWE Evolution.

She main-evented the first one, and seeing how far the division has come was incredible. She put over Ripley, Sky, Bianca Belair, Stephanie Vaquer, and Giulia. She completely butchered Vaquer’s name.

Liv Morgan stormed out. She said if Nikki was talking about the best women in the division, she should talk about her. Morgan was the most talented woman in the division, proving it again and again. Nikki was jealous of her because she had everything Nikki didn’t. Morgan had respect, a championship, and a man.

Nikki wondered if Dom belonged to Morgan or Perez. Nikki wanted Morgan to congratulate Perez on taking her title shot and her man. Nikki left the ring.

Morgan said at least she was a champion, while Nikki was merely a reality show diva.

Nikki went under the rope to return to the ring, but Morgan laid her out with an Oblivion.

(Nikki didn’t come across well here, and a lot of fans seemed to like Morgan better.)

********

Cena vs. Punk was made official for the title at Night of Champions.

********

Jey entered along with his son, and he got his usual big reaction.

Jey Uso (c) vs. Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship

They went to break 75 seconds into this world championship match that’s been scheduled for a month.

Jey went for the sleeper a couple of times in the first two minutes. Gunther escaped it, but Jey remained in control through the break. Jey hit a flying crossbody after the break for two. Jey came up nursing his midsection, selling the damage taken over the past week or so.

Gunther booted Jey in the midsection repeatedly and ripped off his shirt to expose that his ribs were taped up. Gunther ripped up the tape while continuing to target Jey’s midsection. Jey fought back momentarily until Gunther hit him with a German suplex outside the ring. This led to a second break, 9 minutes into the match.

After the break, Jey countered a vertical suplex with one of his own. The fans Yeeted as Jey fought back with strikes. Jey went for a running hip attack, but Gunther ducked. Gunther applied a sleeper while in the ropes, but Jey slipped out and hit a suicide dive.

Jey couldn’t follow up, so Gunther gave him a back drop onto the barricade. Gunther tried a splash, but Jey got his knees up and followed with a spear. Jey hit an Uso splash for a nearfall.

Jey went for a spear, but Gunther clobbered him with a clothesline. Jey reversed a powerbomb into a hurricanrana for two. Gunther hit a powerbomb for two, and a spear for two.

Jey failed again to apply the sleeper, but countered a Gunther sleeper and hit a spear. Jey missed an Uso splash and sold his ribs before Gunther caught him in a sleeper.

Jey fought toward the ropes, but Gunther repeatedly pulled him to the middle of the ring. It seemed like Jey was on the verge of going out, but Gunther let go and hammered away with elbows. Jey slipped out and applied the sleeper, but this time Gunther reversed into a sleeper again—right in the middle of the ring.

Jey couldn’t fight any longer, and he went out. Some fans began screaming at the visual of Jey going out. The referee called for the bell. Gunther wins. Jey Uso’s world title reign is over.

— Jey’s son checked on him at ringside. Gunther posed with the belt as fireworks went off.

Match result: Gunther defeated Jey Uso to win the World Heavyweight Championship (22:06)

Nikki Bella return added to WWE Raw

Nikki Bella is heading back to Raw.

It was announced during Money in the Bank that Bella would be making an appearance on Raw this Monday. This will come as WWE is set to hold their second-ever all-women Evolution show on July 13, the same weekend as AEW’s All In.

Bella made an earlier appearance in WWE this year, competing in the 2025 women’s Royal Rumble. She eliminated Bayley before eventually being eliminated herself by Nia Jax. This was only her second match since 2018, also competiting in the 2022 women’s Royal Rumble that was eventually won by Ronda Rousey. She was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the 2020 class.

Already announced for Raw is Jey Uso defending the World Heavyweight title against Gunther. Tournament matches for the King and Queen of the Ring are also set to begin, with winners being crowned at Night of Champions on June 28.

WWE Raw for Monday, June 9:

  • World Heavyweight title: Jey Uso defends against Gunther
  • Nikki Bella returns
  • Tournament matches begin for King & Queen of the Ring

Nikki Garcia to pay monthly child support to ex-husband, gains control of business trusts

Former (and possibly future) WWE wrestler Nikki Garcia will have to pay her ex-husband child support as part of their final divorce settlement that includes her gaining trusts in her business ventures.

Reported by TMZ on Friday, an November 2024 agreement recently signed off on by a judge has the former Nikki Bella and ex-husband Artem Chigvintsev coming to an agreement that will see her pay him $3500 a month in addition to $200,000 in total before the end of the year.

She is also financially responsible for their son’s speech therapy sessions, but they will split any other extracurricular activities and alternate major holidays.

Their son, Matteo, is four years old.

The ex-couple were in the news in August 2024 when Chigvintsev was arrested on domestic violence charges when led to their divorce later that year. The charges were eventually dropped to a lack of evidence and two had dueling restraining orders filed against each other.

Chigvintsev was a member of the Dancing with the Stars cast until the domestic violence allegations came out. It was reported there was a possibility he could return at some point.

For the last four months, Garcia and sister, Brie, talked about an in-ring WWE return, something Nikki said there were “significant discussions” about. Nikki made her return in this year’s Royal Rumble and continues to say she is going back to WWE to “do something.”

Nikki Bella ‘going back to WWE to do something,’ inspired by Queen of the Ring movie

After making her in-ring return at this year’s Royal Rumble, Nikki Bella is still confident she will be returning to WWE again and has been bolstered by the new Queen of the Ring movie.

On the latest Nikki & Brie Show, Bella (Nikki Garcia) again confirmed that she will return, saying, “I know at one point, I will be going back to WWE to do something. I don’t know when, I don’t know the story, but it’s going to happen.”

She said that watching the aforementioned movie on the life of Mildred Burke has inspired her training and drive.

“Seeing how she overcame, especially with the last match they showed in the movie, it just made me feel so many things of her age, being a mom, the mental ability. I was like, ‘I can do this and you can do it with anyone.’ It’s mind over matter,” the 41-year-old said.

After returning as the 30th entrant into the women’s Rumble match and surviving as one of the last four in the match, Bella said she is continuing to train for another “run.” The WWE Hall of Famer would like her sister, Brie, to join her as well.

Nikki hasn’t been an active wrestler since the end of 2018, making her return in the 2022 women’s Rumble match — her last appearance before this year’s Rumble match. Brie also wrapped up in late-2018, appeared in the same 2022 Rumble match, but hasn’t wrestled since.

Nikki Bella: John Cena’s WWE heel turn is like a gift to the fans

Nikki Bella thinks turning heel is John Cena’s way of giving the fans a gift before he retires.

While speaking with Women’s Wrestling Talk at the Los Angeles premiere of “Queen of the Ring,” Nikki & Brie Bella gave their thoughts on Cena’s turn. Both said it was done well — and they’re happy to see Cena go down this road on his retirement tour.

“About time,” Brie said. “I’m actually really happy, because this is his farewell year and I didn’t know if he would give in or not, and so I love it. And the way it was done — I mean, right, chef’s kiss.”

“It was done so well,” Nikki added. “And I think to end your farewell tour and turn into a character that the fans have wanted for so long. It’s not only I think going to be fun for him, but how great for the fans. It’s like a gift he’s giving, you know what I mean? And I think it’s so cool. It was amazing too.”

Cena’s heel turn kickstarted the build to WrestleMania 41, where he will challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship. WWE’s Elimination Chamber PLE ended with Cena, The Rock, and rapper Travis Scott beating down Rhodes after Cena won the men’s Elimination Chamber match.

This is the last WrestleMania that Cena will ever compete at. His retirement tour is set to conclude with him having his final match in December 2025.

Cena and Nikki Bella were once engaged but ended their relationship in 2018 before ever getting married.

Nikki returned to WWE in the women’s Royal Rumble last month for her first match in three years. She’s indicated that we’ll see her back again soon, and Women’s Wrestling Talk asked Brie if we could see her join Nikki for a Bella Twins reunion.

“I mean, I always say never say never,” Brie responded. “That’s the most fun about pro wrestling, is that I feel like there’s always different things that are happening. You know, you do have some big pay-per-views around the corner that there’s always fun surprises. So, you never know. You never know.”

Nikki Bella addresses whether she’s back in WWE to stay

The Royal Rumble wasn’t just a one-off appearance for Nikki Bella.

Bella returned to WWE on Saturday night, wrestling her first match since 2022. She was the 30th entrant in the women’s Rumble match and made it to the final four before being eliminated by Nia Jax. The appearance capped off an “incredible” few weeks for Bella, who recently appeared on the cover of Us Weekly and starred in season three of Peacock reality show “The Traitors.”

A new episode of the Nikki & Brie Show was released on Thursday with Bella recapping her Royal Rumble experience. Responding to fans who have asked if she’s back in WWE to stay, Bella confirmed that we’ll be seeing her again soon. She is continuing to train for “this run.”

“I do know there’s a lot of rumors on the internet, ‘Is this a one-off or is she here to stay?’ Well, keep tuning in because you will see another Fearless Nikki appearance, sooner than later, that is for sure,” Bella said. “But I’m definitely doing more than what I just did Saturday. So, I’m continuing to train. And it’s just — I have felt so empowered and alive in certain ways. Honestly, the most important thing that I’ve been getting back that I realized I have lost for so many years, which is unlike me and I never would have thought I lost it, is definitely my confidence.”

Bella said training with Natalya has helped her regain that confidence. It isn’t fully back yet, but it’s a work in progress and she’s excited to get all of her confidence back.

When asked about opponents she wants to face, Bella named Chelsea Green, Rhea Ripley, Roxanne Perez, and said she wants to go after the Women’s Tag Team titles. She has also mentioned Charlotte Flair, Bayley, and Liv Morgan as potential opponents.

Bella said she’ll hopefully have her twin sister Brie by her side soon. The sisters are WWE Hall of Famers, having been inducted as part of the class of 2020.

Nikki Bella: ‘The past few weeks have been just incredible’

Returning to WWE capped off an incredible few-week stretch for Nikki Bella.

Bella was an entrant in the women’s Royal Rumble on Saturday night, competing in her first match in three years. She was not officially announced for the Rumble in advance, but rumors of her WWE return had been prevalent after she attended Raw’s Netflix premiere episode last month.

Taking to Instagram, Bella reflected on the start she’s had to 2025. Adventures with her son Matteo, appearing on the cover of Us Weekly, starring in Peacock’s reality show “The Traitors,” and training for her return were some of Bella’s highlights. She thanked the Bella fans for their support, and Nikki said she missed her twin sister with Brie Bella not being in the Rumble.

“The past few weeks have been just incredible. So grateful! Adventures with Teo. [Philadelphia] Eagles victories. Training at the PC and [Natalya & TJ Wilson’s] @thedungeon2.0 To spending time with my Traitors fam and WWE fam. Goodness those girls in the locker room. To gracing the cover of US Weekly to shine light and love and remind you you are stronger than you think. Grateful for the journey and here for the moment,” Nikki wrote.

“THANK YOU BELLA ARMY FOR ALWAYS SHOWING UP AND SPREADING LOVE!!! You know what they say…. Haters Gonna Hate, BELLAS gonna Ball! I missed you Brie Mode.”

Nikki entered the women’s Rumble match at number 30 and made it to the final four before being eliminated by Nia Jax. In a post-show interview, Nikki named Charlotte Flair, Liv Morgan, Bayley, and Chelsea Green as some of the opponents she would be interested in facing going forward.

Alexa Bliss & Nikki Bella return, Jordynne Grace arrives in WWE Royal Rumble

It was a night of returns and arrivals in the women’s Royal Rumble match.

Alexa Bliss and Nikki Bella made their returns to WWE on Saturday’s show in Indianapolis, while Jordynne Grace made her official WWE debut. Hall of Famer Trish Stratus also made a surprise appearance.

Grace was the first surprise of the night, entering at number 19. Michael Cole on commentary said that while she was a part of TNA when competing in last year’s Royal Rumble, she was now officially a part of the WWE roster. She was eventually eliminated by Giuilia from NXT.

Bliss came in at number 21 after being gone from WWE since early 2023, taking time off due to pregnancy. Arriving with her doll Lily, Bliss was eliminated by Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez.

Stratus made her return at number 25 and lasted a while before encountering Nia Jax, who eventually eliminated Stratus thanks to the help of Candice LeRae.

Bella was the final entrant of the women’s Royal Rumble, arriving at number 30. She lasted towards the end of the match, but was eliminated by Jax. The returning Charlotte Flair eventually emerged as the winner, last eliminating Roxanne Perez.

Other stars from NXT also made an appearance in the match including Lash Legend, Jaida Parker, Stephanie Vaquer, and NXT Women’s Champion Giulia.

Nikki Garcia says she ‘misses being Nikki Bella’ amid WWE return rumors

Nikki Garcia (aka Nikki Bella) says she misses being around her WWE family as rumors swirl that she could return to the company shortly.

Nikki appeared in the crowd during the WWE Raw on Netflix premiere earlier this month. Last week, it was reported that she and WWE had also engaged in “significant discussions” regarding a potential return.

During a recent interview with US Weekly, Nikki said she felt blessed to be able to go back “home” earlier this month and believes she’s still “got it.”

“I’ve missed it for quite a few years,” Nikki admitted. “I miss being Nikki Bella. I miss being around that family. I definitely miss being in that ring. When they put me in the crowd that night and to feel the energy and see the Bella Army, whether they were in the crowd or online, it starts to give you these feels.”

“Going home to WWE, I don’t think people understand, I started at 22. That’s all I ever knew up until a little bit ago. So, that’s been the biggest home for me and to go back and be home and the environment there is so incredible. The women were just, what a great locker room. They were just so awesome and together and one and unity and everyone back there was just so happy. You could tell the energy there right now is just incredible.”

“I’m like, ‘This is why we paved roads in this industry,'” Nikki gushed. “I feel so blessed to go back and experience it. I’m like, ‘OK, I think I need to experience this more.’ I really love it. I feel like I’ve still got it, so we’ll see.”

As for Nikki’s sister, Brie Bella, Nikki doesn’t think it would take much to convince Brie to return to WWE at some point, but right now, Brie is happy being at home with her two children. Nikki says she spoke to Brie after appearing at the Raw on Netflix premiere.

“When I went and I came back, I was like, ‘Brie, it’s so amazing,'” Nikki said. “So maybe we should make a comeback. She’s so in mom mode, but Brie has that fire in her, too. She has that last run. I feel like it wouldn’t take a lot to get her to come back with me.”

Nikki and Brie Bella signed with WWE in 2007 and were with the company until their contracts expired in 2023.

Report: There have been ‘significant discussions’ about Nikki Bella WWE return

WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella could be returning to the ring for the first time since 2022.

WrestleVotes reported on Thursday that there have been “significant discussions” regarding Nikki returning to the ring for WWE. The report said there is a strong belief among multiple WWE sources that Nikki’s return will happen sooner rather than later:

We’re told significant discussions have taken place regarding a Nikki Bella return to action, with the strong expectation from multiple WWE sources that it will happen sooner rather than later.

Nikki’s most recent match was an appearance in the 2022 women’s Royal Rumble. This year’s Rumble is taking place in Indianapolis on Saturday, February 1.

For the first time since she and her twin sister Brie departed WWE in 2023, Nikki was back in the WWE fold at Raw’s Netflix premiere in Los Angeles earlier this month. Nikki Bella on WWE Raw appearance: ‘To be so accepted and loved felt incredible’

During the latest episode of The Nikki & Brie Show, Nikki Bella addressed her appearance at the WWE Raw on Netflix premiere.

Nikki and Brie parted ways with WWE in 2023, and the sisters announced they would not be using the “Bella” name moving forward. However, Nikki was introduced as “Nikki Bella” at the Raw on Netflix premiere on Monday night when she was shown at ringside.

She says returning to WWE felt like reuniting with family.

“Whether it’s a business family or it’s your actual family, there’s always at some point a rocky road. That’s life and life happens and emotions happen. And so we had that rocky road with WWE,” Nikki said on the show.

She continued, “As I’ve grown over the past few years and have continued to do the work on myself, I’ve realized times where I’ve made outbursts out of emotions that I probably shouldn’t have done. And then there’s times that I could recognize I felt hurt and I wanted to be heard, but that probably wasn’t the right thing to do. And this is why things were rocky.”

“I felt all these emotions because I felt at home and I was so happy to be home. And then to be so accepted and loved felt so incredible because things were rocky and then there’s nothing better – And we know this with our father and other people can relate to this stuff – is when you have that moment of making up and knowing that this bond is so strong because it’s pretty much like blood, like we are just family and we’ll always be connected. There’s no better feeling than going back home. And feeling that and knowing like, OK, we’ve mended everything, we’ve had great conversations and here you are. And it was like being at Christmas dinner last night, being at a family reunion. It was like all is well, we have all made-up.”

Nikki recently returned to the Nikki & Brie Show after taking a sabbatical in the wake of her divorce from Artem Chigvintsev earlier this year. The couple separated shortly after Chigvintsev was arrested on domestic violence charges stemming from an incident in August at the couple’s former home in Napa Valley. The charges against Chigvintsev were dropped the following month. The couple finalized a divorce settlement in November.

Nikki Bella: ‘WWE is home,’ comments on potential return

Nikki Bella still considers WWE home — and she isn’t ruling out returning to the ring for the company in the future.

In 2023, Nikki and her sister Brie departed WWE and began to use the “Garcia Twins” as their name in their professional endeavors. But Nikki was back in the WWE fold for at least one night on Monday, attending Raw’s Netflix premiere in Los Angeles. She was shown in the crowd during the episode and identified as “Nikki Bella.”

Bella was interviewed on the red carpet last night, where she said WWE is like home and expressed her excitement for the promotion’s new partnership with Netflix.

“Well, WWE is home, and WWE is one of the coolest events, one of the coolest forms of entertainment truly in the world. And Netflix delivers worldwide, as we’ve all seen. So I think it’s just two powerhouses that come together,” Bella said. “They’re going to make magic happen, and I want to be here for the magic. I want to celebrate all of the talent that I’ve grown up with the past 20 years, which is so crazy to say. And I want to be here [at the premiere] to just root them on.”

Though she has not wrestled since 2022, Bella, 41, has kept the door open to compete again once her son gets older. She was asked on the red carpet about the Bella Twins potentially returning to the ring for WWE.

“Ohhh, will we ever see the Bella Twins back? Good question,” Bella responded. “You know, I just may be here looking at my competition soon. So — stay tuned.”

Near the end of last year, Bella finalized her divorce from former husband Artem Chigvintsev, who was arrested for alleged domestic violence in August 2024 but did not end up facing charges.

The Bella Twins were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the class of 2020.
