Hook & Danhausen vs. Nese & Sterling set for AEW Double or Nothing Buy-In

Hook and Danhausen will team for the first time at the Double or Nothing Buy-In.

The new team will face Tony Nese and ‘Smart’ Mark Sterling prior to Double or Nothing on May 29 in Las Vegas. This stems from tonight’s Dynamite, where Hook saved Danhausen from Nese.

Danhausen faced Nese in a singles match on tonight’s show, with Nese scoring the win in under a minute after Sterling distracted Danhausen. After the match, Sterling instructed Nese to hit Danhausen with another running knee to the corner. Nese was about to oblige when Hook came out, driving Nese and Sterling away. Hook and Danhausen then met face-to-face, with Danhausen extending his hand. Both shook hands to end the segment.

In recent weeks, Danhausen has been looking to befriend Hook after he failed to curse Hook in their initial meeting. On last week’s Rampage, Danhausen asked Hook to be in his corner for the Nese match, offering him some potato chips. Hook ignored Danhausen and walked away.

Here is the current lineup for Double or Nothing on May 29:

  • Hangman Adam Page vs. CM Punk for the AEW World Championship
  • Thunder Rosa vs. Serena Deeb for the AEW Women’s World Championship
  • Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament final

Left My Wallet: Mark Sterling, MJF’s attorney & fantasy football fan

Left My Wallet returns with the attorney of MJF, “Smart” Mark Sterling.

He is no stranger to the show, but this time he joins us after a brief convalescence from facing AEW World Champion Jon Moxley several weeks ago on Dynamite. Mark has recovered, recouped, and is ready to talk about his healing process, but moreso, fantasy football.

We go back to 2001 and talk about when we we first started training together and our first match. We also talk about being a sports fan while on the road and how we made adjustments for our fantasy teams in the pre-cell phone era and while being on the road. We then finish up with some players we like for the rest of the season.

This is a short and fun episode filled with fantasy football, a little wrestling talk, and even a little action figure talk that I know you’ll enjoy.

‘Left My Wallet’ is back again with former WWE tag team champion Brian Myers, aka the former Curt Hawkins.

Brian, along with our mutual friend “Smart” Mark Sterling, joins the show to discuss the former WWE star’s fandom for the orange and blue, his thoughts on Noah Syndergaard going down, thoughts on the current team, and where wrestling at Citi Field ranks on his all-time list of wrestling achievments. We then discuss the New York Jets and the bond between Mets and Jets fans.

The man responsible for training talents like MJF and Kris Statlander talks about why he started his Create-A-Pro wrestling school, his passion for training and helping others, and what makes his school different than many others.

Finally, we talk his podcast and Youtube show (the Major Wrestling Figure Podcast), how it started, what it’s become and his love for not only action figures, but all wrestling memorabilia. We also talk about his first singles match, going to college with mutual friend and Bellator fighter NIck Newell, training together early on when Brian was signed to WWE, and so much more!

This is a fun chat with the former WWE star who is chomping at the bit to get back out on the indie circuit and get back to what he loves doing most: wrestling.

Left My Wallet is back with Ring of Honor star and Jushin “Thunder” Liger’s favorite wrestler, Cheeseburger!

He is a huge NBA fan and an even bigger San Antonio Spurs fan. We talk about his thoughts on the recent Kawhi Leonard trade, whether Demar Derozan a good fit for the Spurs, Tony Parker signing with the Hornets, his favorite Spurs memories, and memories of Hakeem Olajuwon as a Toronto Raptor and Patrick Ewing as a member of the Orlando Magic. (Yes, those all-time greats did play for those teams!)
