Ring of Honor TV live results: Bandido vs. Mansoor

Tonight’s Ring of Honor on HonorClub will feature more CMLL action ahead of next week’s AEW/ROH invasion of Arena Mexico.

After appearing during a big brawl at AEW Summer Blockbuster, former ROH TV Champion Atlantis Jr. will team with Templario against Volador Jr. and Magnus.

In a Proving Ground match, ROH World Champion Bandido will take on Mansoor where if the challenger can win or draw the champion, he earns a future title shot.

ROH Women’s TV Champion Red Velvet will return to action in her own Proving Ground bout.

The card is rounded out by Evil Uno taking on former Dark Order teammate Preston Vance, while Shane Taylor Promotions will be in eight-man action.

**********

For the 120th time, Ring of Honor streams it’s way into our collective hearts with two huge Proving Ground matches and a Supercard that’s just under a month away.

-Shane Taylor Promotions kicked things off with empassioned promo about… money in the bank? Oh, right literal money in a metaphorical bank. They are ready to start mixing things up and let the rumblin’ begin!

Magnus & Volador Jr. vs. Atlantis Jr. & Templario

Between the participants of this match there is a metric ton of Gold. Atlantis currently holds the World Historic Light Heavyweight Champion and is of course a former ROH World Television Champion. His partner Templario is one half of the NJPW STRONG Openweight Tag Team Champions (with TJP as United Empire) as well as the CMLL World Middleweight Champion. Magnus is a double Tag Champion, currently holding the MLW World Tag Team Championship and the Mexican National Tag Team Champion with Rugido as Los Depredadores. And Volador Jr? Well… he’s there too.

“Lucha Libre” chants broke out as the Luchadores began to libre. Volador and Templario kicked things off at breakneck speed, swapping holds and moves. Atlantis tagged in to face off against Magnus, but caught a kick through the ropes from Volador which lead to a double team.

Atlantis was able to fight them off, sending Volador to the outside. Templario tagged in but Mangus and Volador took their time deciding who would join him in the ring. It ended up being Volador who kept up with Templario until MAgnus tagged in. Templario it an inside-out arm drag and that brought in Atlantis.

Atlantis dove onto Magnus on the outside and Templario went up to the top turnbuckle for a missile dropkick on Magnus. Magnus fought back though, setting Templario up for a 619 and then a superkick from Volador.

Atlantis jumped in and took his place getting double teamed in the corner. Volador went for a lazy cover and Templario broke it up. Magnus hit a low blow on Templario when the refs back was turned and Volador began working his ribs.

A hot tag was made to Atlantis but Magnus was heading straight for him with some rapid punches. Magnus tried to take Atlantis’ mask and almost got it off too. He then did some push ups and flexed. Really.

Atlantis found new life and hit backbreakers on Volador and Magnus. Templario delivered a split kick, sending Volador out of the ring. Atlantis went up top and hit a frog splash on Magnus to get the pin and the win for his team.

Match Result: Atlantis Jr. & Templario defeated Magnus & Volador Jr.

Super fun Luchadore match to start things off! I love these matches on ROH, because they tell a great story in the ring.

Evil Uno (w/ Alex Reynolds) vs. Preston Vance (w/ Cole Karter, Griff Garrison & Jacked Jameson)

I’ve been reading a lot of Batman comics lately and the never ending battle between the Dark Order and The Frat House kind of has me feeling like they are destined to do this forever. In this case, it’s Uno taking on Vance with everyone’s back up in tow. It also might be time for the Dark Order to get some pledges (or new D&D players, or whatever it is they do) to even up the numbers game.

PS – if you forgot that Vance was once in the Dark Order, don’t worry. So did I.

It was no surprise to see that the Code of Honor did not happen. The bell rang, and Uno took it straight to Vance, knocking him from pillar to post. Vance bailed to the outside where the half a dozen Frat House members were waiting. Uno followed him out though, standing up to all of them.

Uno threw Vance back in the ring, but as Uno was climbing up to join him, the rest of the Frat House, led by Jameson, put the boots to him. That gave Vance the upper hand and he laid some shots in on Uno. Shocking no one, every time the ref’s back was turned a Frat House member would take a shot at Uno.

Vance started pie-facing Uno which fired him up. He hit a stunner on Vance and then went for a corner splash that Vance dodged and locked in a full nelson hold. Uno began to fade, but powered out of it, delivering a huge forearm to Vance’s huge face.

Uno dropped Vance with a DDT and went for a piledriver, but Vance reversed it into a fall away slam. Vance tried a discus elbow but Uno was able to land the piledriver and throw a discus elbow of his own. He went for the cover, but the Frat House distracted the ref from making the pin.

Vance was slipped the pledge paddle and Vance clocked him with it before the ref could see to get the pin.

Match Result: Preston Vance defeated Evil Uno

After the match, the Frat House began beating down Uno and Reynolds when suddenly a returning John Silver arrived to (not really) even the odds! It was enough to send the Frat House packing though as a full strength Dark Order reconnected in the ring.

What a great match. As much as I hate the Frat House I love Evil Uno. He and Vance know each other really well and it was a great back and forth with each man getting a chance to shine. Silver’s return was great, but someone needs to teach the Frat House how to count, because there were still six of them to three of the Order.

ROH Women’s TV Champion Red Velvet vs. Harleen Lopez in a Proving Ground match

Red Velvet is closing in on a full year as ROH Women’s TV Champion and will be in CMLL next week to take on Persephone. That’s about all you need to know. Her opponent, Lopez, clearly had a strength advantage, but Velvet hasn’t been champ this long for no reason.

Lopez laid some killer shoulder tackles onto Velvet, temporarily knocking her silly. When she recovered, Velvet went to the boxing background she’s got a pummelled Lopez in the corner. Lopez threw some elbows back at Velvet followed by a butterfly suplex.

Lopez traded strikes with Velvet until she left herself open for a Mama’s Kitchen and Velvet pinned her, dashing Lopez’ title dreams.

Match Result: Red Velvet defeated Harleen Lopez

Fun little squash, but the outcome was pretty obvious even as it was happening. Velvet is on fire and not going to be giving up that Women’s TV Title anytime soon.

-The Dark Order cut a promo in the back, with the returning John Silver talking about meat. Uno declared that the three of them are better than six of the Frat House. They laid out a trios challenge for any time, anywhere.

Shane Taylor Promotions (Shane Taylor, ROH Pure Champion Lee Moriarty & The Infantry) vs. Vaughn Vertigo, Martian Webb, Riley Reinhart and Joe Demaro

Shane Taylor Promotions is bringing out all it’s weapons tonight in this massive 8-man match. STP are the most dominant faction in ROH, so it’s surprising that the only title they hold is the ROH Pure Title on Moriarty’s shoulder. Time will tell if they can gather some more belts, but for now they look to make short work of Vertigo, Webb, Reinhart & Demaro, who despite sounding like a law firm, did not have much to work with.

I don’t even really know how to describe this match. It was pretty much just members of STP taggin in and out to completely destroy whichever of the other four were in the ring. It almost became comical as between the four of them, neither Vertigo, Webb, Demaro or Reinhart got any offense in.

The only actual wrestling in the match was when Moriarty was in the ring and had a decent exchange with Vertigo. Then Taylor tagged in and offered his face for a free shot from Demaro. Taylor no sold it then beat him down and went for a pin… that was actually broken up, much to Taylor’s surpsise, by glutton-for-punnishment, Webb.

Moriarty tagged in and put the Border City Stretch on Demaro and he tapped out in seconds. The end.

Match Result: Shane Taylor Promotions (Shane Taylor, ROH Pure Champion Lee Moriarty & The Infantry) destroyed defeated Vaughn Vertigo, Martian Webb, Riley Reinhart and Joe Demaro

I love STP, but honestly, this was one of those matches that didn’t make them look good. There was no believable way that they weren’t losing this match, which just begs the question, what was the point? I sincerely hope they find themselves with some purpose as we get closer to Supercard of Honor in July.

ROH World Champion Bandido vs. Mansoor (w/ Johnny TV, Mason Madden & Taya Valkyrie) in a Proving Ground match

It was announced last week that one of the “M’s” in MxMxTV would get a shot at a shot at Bandido’s ROH World Title. Mansoor is the M in question and he’s bringing the whole gang with him. There’s been a few Proving Ground wins lately and with Supercard of Honor a month away, could this be the beginning of the Main Event story?

Mansoor came to the ring with his crew and it looked like Madden had borrowed his boots from Valkyrie, which was neat. Bandido arrived in a cowboy hat because, well, why not?

A Tip-Touch of Honor was adhered to and the ten minute time limit began ticking down. Mansoor was actually pretty evenly matched against Bandido size wise and wrestling the champion gave him a chance to show off his speed and agility. Bandido for his part looked like he was having a lot of fun.

Bandido put Mansoor on his back and gave him the finger guns, which incensed MAdden on the outside who screamed “no guns!” Bandido set Mansoor up for the 21 Plex, but Madden pulled him out of the ring and Bandido along with him. Mansoor took advantage and threw Bandido into the stairs. Madden, TV and Valkyrie stomped him while Mansoor distracted the ref.

Back in the ring, Mansoor hit a backbreaker, softening up the back of Bandido, stretching him over his knee. Bandido powered out of it (he’s a power lifter, you see) but Mansoor drove an elbow into his back. Bandido responded with a superkick and twisting tornado dive from the top rope.

Bandido went for a suplex, but his back wouldn’t handle it. He was able to recover for a one handed press-slam though and climbed the ropes for a huge frog splash, but Mansoor kicked out at two. Bandido tried a 21 Plex again, but TV caught him and laid him out giving Mansoor a chance to hit a butterfly suplex and get a two count of his own.

Mansoor distracted the ref and Madden and TV tried to steal Bandido’s mask. The ref saw it though and ejected everyone from ringside. This was seven minutes into the match and Mansoor used the chaos to try for a moonsault. Bandido saw it though and dodged, setting Mansoor up for the 21 Plex. He nailed it this time and pinned Mansoor, 1-2-3.

Match Result: ROH World Champion Bandido defeated Mansoor

After the match, Lee Johnson came wandering down to the ring. This distracted Bandido enough that Black Christian was able to jump him from behind in the ring. He stood tall over Bandido and he and Johnson stomped him in the ring. Mascara Dorada (who will face Bandido on Tuesday in CMLL) appeared at the top of the ramp and ran down to the ring to run off the heels. He then picked up the ROH title and offered his hand to Bandido. He handed the champion his belt as the two shared mutual respect.

Very cool main event! MxMxTV are fantastic and Bandido made it look like tons of fun. The after match schmozz was cool too because I think it teased a future title match between Bandido and Christian, which is something I would very much like to see.

Two matches added to WWE Crown Jewel

Two new matches have been announced for WWE Crown Jewel.

A steel cage match between Karrion Kross and Drew McIntyre has been set for November 5 in Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, Braun Strowman will battle Omos.

On Friday’s SmackDown, McIntyre told Kayla Braxton that eventually, this has to end between himself and Kross and made the match. McIntyre lost to Kross in a strap match at Extreme Rules, but the two have continued to feud, with McIntyre attacking Kross after Kross and Scarlett were involved in a car accident on last week’s SmackDown.

MVP confronted Braun Strowman on SmackDown, with Strowman eventually issuing a challenge to Omos. MVP accepted on behalf of Omos, bringing him out. Omos and Strowman had a staredown before Omos pushed Strowman out of the ring.

Here is the updated lineup for Crown Jewel:

  • Undisputed WWE Universal Championship: Roman Reigns defends against Logan Paul
  • The OC (AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson) vs. The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Damian Pries, and Dominik Mysterio)
  • Brock Lesnar vs. Bobby Lashley
  • Omos vs. Braun Strowman
  • Steel cage: Karrion Kross vs. Drew McIntyre

Two matches set for next week’s WWE SmackDown

A pair of singles matches are set for the October 14 episode of WWE SmackDown.

Stemming from a trios match on this week’s show, Kofi Kingston will face Sami Zayn next week. Kingston, Xavier Woods, and Braun Strowman defeated Zayn and The Usos on this week’s SmackDown.

Also announced for next week, LA Knight will take on mån.sôör of Maximum Male Models. Knight cemented his turn on the Maximum Male Models in a backstage segment on this week’s episode, reverting to his Knight ring name after being known as Max Dupri as part of the MMM group.

Next week’s SmackDown will also feature the fallout from the Extreme Rules premium live event set for Saturday, October 8. Liv Morgan will defend the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Ronda Rousey at Extreme Rules in the only SmackDown title match on the show.

The announced lineup for next week’s SmackDown:

  • Kofi Kingston vs. Sami Zayn
  • LA Knight vs. mån.sôör

Max Dupri reveals Maximum Male Models on WWE SmackDown

Max Dupri revealed his Maximum Male Models on tonight’s SmackDown.

Mace and Mansoor, now known under the stylized names of mån.sôör and ma.cé, were introduced on SmackDown tonight as Max Dupri’s models. Both came out and posed for the cameras as Dupri claimed that the aim of the Maximum Male Models were “to titillate the juices of their guilty pleasures.”

Later, it was advertised that the Maximum Male Models would reveal their tennis wear line on next week’s SmackDown.

Dupri, the former LA Knight in NXT, had started to manage Mace and Mansoor in dark matches prior to being reintroduced under the Dupri name on the May 20 edition of SmackDown. In the weeks since his debut, Dupri had promised to deliver his models to SmackDown, but would come up with an excuse each week to delay the reveal, citing problems such as improper lighting and WWE failing to meet locker room requirements.

VIDEO: LA Knight adds Mansoor to Knight Model Management in WWE SmackDown dark segment

LA Knight made another addition to his Knight Model Management stable in a dark segment at Friday’s WWE SmackDown taping in Albany, New York.

Knight introduced Mansoor as a client of his new Knight Model Management group, in Albany. After teasing a new name for Mace last week, Knight again called Mace “Mace The Face” in a promo for the live crowd on Friday.

Knight said that Knight Model Management is a stable that he started because he was wise and saved his money in this industry.

Mace defeated Erik of the Viking Raiders at last week’s taping, while Mansoor has wrestled just twice this year for WWE. He participated in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on the April 1 WrestleMania SmackDown, and also appeared in a tag team four-way on a SmackDown show in January.

Video of Friday’s segment with Knight, Mansoor, and Mace, can be seen below (for as long as it remains on YouTube).

Mansoor vs. Mustafa Ali added to WWE Crown Jewel

Mansoor and Mustafa Ali are set to clash at Crown Jewel.

The match was announced tonight on WWE’s social media. This follows the events of tonight’s Raw, where dissension between Ali and Mansoor eventually evolved into a full out attack by Ali.

On tonight’s show, Ali and Mansoor faced Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin. The latter team picked up the win in under two minutes. After the match, Ali shoved Mansoor to the ground and said that he was “tired of this”. Later, while Mansoor was giving an interview backstage, Ali confronted him, saying that he was a worthless loser and a giant waste of time. Ali ended up attacking Mansoor, laying him out.

The storyline between Mansoor and Ali has played out on Raw since June, with Ali begrudgingly teaming with Mansoor, wanting to prove to Mansoor that everyone in WWE were backstabbers and cheaters. The last several weeks have seen the team lose to Angel Garza & Humberto Carrillo twice.

Mansoor, who was born in Saudi Arabia, has competed in several of WWE’s events in the country. He won a 51-man battle royal at Super ShowDown 2019, and has also scored wins over Dolph Ziggler and Cesaro.

Crown Jewel will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on October 21.

Nineteen more WWE wrestlers drafted on Talking Smack

More WWE wrestlers were drafted during the episode of Talking Smack that aired this morning on Peacock.

It was announced during the show that Reggie, Akira Tozawa, Alpha Academy (Chad Gable and Otis), Apollo Crews, Commander Azeez, Doudrop, Drake Maverick, John Morrison, T-Bar, Nia Jax, R-Truth, and Zelina Vega have been drafted to Raw. NXT star Aliyah, Drew Gulak, Mace, Mansoor, Mustafa Ali, and Toni Storm, meanwhile, have been drafted to SmackDown.

Back in July, Aliyah had turned on Robert Stone after she and Jessi Kamea lost to Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter. Since then, she has been off NXT television, reportedly traded to the main roster for Mandy Rose, who has since returned to NXT and has aligned herself with Jacy Jayne and Gigi Dolan to form Toxic Attraction.

The first night of the draft took place on SmackDown, with the second night of the draft due to take place on Raw this coming Monday. High profile brand switches include Charlotte Flair, Drew McIntyre, New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods), NXT’s Hit Row, and Jeff Hardy being drafted to SmackDown while Bianca Belair, Edge, Rey & Dominik Mysterio, and NXT’s Austin Theory are moving to Raw.

Mansoor joins WWE Raw roster, faces Sheamus

Mansoor is now a part of the Raw brand.

On tonight’s episode of Raw, Mansoor made his debut, signing a Raw contract backstage with WWE official Adam Pearce. Sheamus then arrived, mentioning that Mansoor could accept his open challenge for later tonight. Mansoor did accept the challenge, but lost to Sheamus by DQ after Humberto Carrillo ran in and attacked Sheamus, retaliation for earlier when Sheamus attacked Carrillo backstage. The segment ended with Sheamus laying out both Carrillo and Mansoor with Brogue kicks.

Mansoor had attained 49 straight consecutive wins, dating back from his time in NXT to wrestling in Saudi Arabia, and most recently wrestling on 205 Live and Main Event. With tonight’s loss, his streak ends.

Signing with the WWE in 2018, Mansoor has been featured in several of WWE’s shows in Saudi Arabia. At Super Showdown in 2019, he last eliminated Elias to win a 51-man battle royal. At Crown Jewel later that year, he defeated Cesaro in a singles match.

WWE 205 Live results: Mansoor vs. Curt Stallion

August Grey and Jake Atlas defeated Tony Nese and Ariya Daivari

The match started with some typical heel work. Nese and Daivari distracted Grey from the apron multiple times, preventing him from getting started. Finally, Grey escaped from the isolation, tagging in Atlas who took out both of his opponents in an exciting offensive sequence. However, Daivari soon pulled Atlas’s legs out from under him, leaving the dastardly pair back in control.  Nese and Daivari continued picking apart Atlas as the match played out.

Atlas ducked Nese’s spinning kick, creating enough separation to secure the tag. Grey now connected with an offensive flurry of his own, taking out both Daivari and Nese. Daivari interfered with the sequence, allowing Nese to catch Grey with a cradled back to belly piledriver; Atlas broke up the ensuing pin attempt.

Atlas hit Daivari with a tope in the chaos that followed. Nese chased Atlas, delivering a running hotshot to Grey and a crossbody to Atlas. Back in the ring, Grey and Nese struggled for control. Grey eventually won out, connecting with his unprettier before pinning Nese.

This match was fun, content dense, and generally exciting—one of the better 205 Live matches in some time.

Curt Stallion and Mansoor had a brief interview prior to their match to decide on a team name. Stallion suggested “CurtSoor,” and Mansoor suggested “ManStallion.” Mansoor then bragged about his 40-0 record; Stallion then made it known he was not a part of that 40. Stallion pledged to be 1 in 40-1 in following the main event.

The Bollywood Boyz then cut a short promo, calling out Ever-Rise, the other half of Bolly-Rise.

Mansoor defeated Curt Stallion

Stallion and Mansoor traded some grappline early, both standing and on the mat. A gut-wrench suplex from Stallion marked an end to the extended feeling out process.

Mansoor secured some momentum of his own with a clothesline. Mansoor took the match back to the mat, but this didn’t last long. Stallion landed a double foot stomp following a momentary opening which he followed with an air raid crash neckbreaker. A dropkick and DDT to the bottom turnbuckle left Stallion with a near fall.

Stallion tried to end the match again by rolling Mansoor into a pin; Mansoor rolled through the attempt, initiating a struggle. Mansoor connected with a double underhook slam before trying for a pin.

Mansoor tried and failed to hoist Stallion to his feet. Stallion popped up from his slump with a quick headbutt sending Mansoor crashing to the outside. Stallion hit a crossbody before sending Mansoor back inside the ropes. Stallion then climbed to the top rope and lept to meet Mansoor’s knees on his descent.

Mansoor climbed to the top rope himself; Stallion met Mansoor at the top, producing a struggle that concluded with a one-man Spanish fly from Stallion. Mansoor broke the pin that followed with a desperation rope break. Mansoor then evaded a headbutt attempt, sending Stallion crashing into the turnbuckles. Mansoor then lept into a neckbreaker followed by a pin for the victory.

This was another strong match. The drama of Mansoor’s streak, which is now being mentioned regularly, added to the near falls. Stakes, believe it or not, can significantly improve a match’s aura.

All in all, this episode of 205 Live was better than any other in recent memory. There was atypical, fun character work and the matches had more meaning.

WWE Main Event results: Mansoor vs. Gulak; Elias & Ryker in action

Image: WWE

The Big Takeaways:

Mansoor looked good as he made his Main Event debut with a win over Drew Gulak while they continued to push Elias and Jaxson Ryker as a dominant tag team with a win over Humberto Carrillo and Akira Tozawa.

Show Recap:

Mansoor defeated Drew Gulak (5:02)

More of a 205 Live match than something that you would usually see on Main Event, Mansoor took on Gulak, marking his debut with an impressive win.

If you have never seen Mansoor work, he is a smooth in-ring operator with plenty in his locker. He is lean and handsome: no doubt the reason that WWE have their eye on him as a future star to help them promote the product for the Indian market.

It was another embarrassing defeat, though, for Gulak who is winless since November. Last week, he was all but squashed by T-Bar and here, he got very little of his own stuff in at all.

Mansoor did a couple of notable moves including a standing moonsault, but he finished with a really beautiful slingshot neckbreaker to get the win. Hopefully, there will be more to come from him as they cautiously work him in.

Jaxson Ryker & Elias defeated Humberto Carrillo & Akira Tozawa (9:01)

This was nine minutes of action where two really good workers ran all over for two more awkward wrestlers who are probably carrying way more muscle than they need.

Tozawa was the star here as he and Carrillo carried the match, allowing them to try to push Ryker as an uncompromising, aggressive heel with plenty of power moves in his armory.

It was Ryker that had to break up a pin in the last few minutes as Carrillo was running wild with the hot tag, but they made sure that it was Ryker who got the pinfall over Tozawa at the end.

Tozawa came off the top rope with a missile dropkick and looked to be heating up when he ran straight into Ryker who nailed him with his as-yet-unnamed spinning side slam for the victory.

Final Thoughts:

It was good to see Mansoor get a debut here. This show is at its best when used as both a training ground for fresh talent and a place to try out some new ideas. They clearly want to go with Ryker and Elias, but aren’t prepared to go all the way just yet for whatever reason. It might be another project that they give up on before too long.

WWE 205 Live results: Mansoor vs. Jake Atlas

Mansoor defeated Jake Atlas

Atlas and Mansoor grappled as the match opened. Mansoor secured a single-leg crab. Atlas kicked Mansoor away, causing an awkward crash into the turnbuckles. A neckbreaker to a prone Mansoor and a forearm left Atlas with a pair of near falls.

Mansoor fought his way free from a headlock and landed a chop block. Mansoor landed two dragon screws and a spinebuster before locking in the scorpion deathlock. Atlas crawled into the bottom rope to break the hold. A surprise neckbreaker from Atlas gave him control.

Atlas tried for a suplex, but his leg gave way, allowing a quick pin attempt from Mansoor. Atlas powered through and landed a brainbuster before climbing to the top rope. Mansoor met Atlas with a dragon screw from the top rope to the mat. Mansoor maintained control of the leg and pinned Atlas.

This was a new side of Mansoor. This had some awkward moments but was well-executed.

Curt Stallion, Chase Parker, and Matt Martel defeated Sunil Singh, Samir Singh, and Ariya Daivari

Daivari gained the advantage for his team in the early going. He then taunted his tag partners, allowing Stallion to create some separation. Sunil stole a tag from Daivari. Stallion, with aid from Ever-Rise, maintained control.

Martel tried his hand at taking on all three of his competitors but fell short. After being overwhelmed by the numbers, Martel found himself on the receiving end of a double suplex. Martel then began his role as the punching bag.

A forced tag from Daivari stopped the Bollywood domination. Daivari immediately lost control of the match, allowing Stallion to tag in. Stallion unloaded on the now legal Samir; a gargantuan DDT left Stallion with a near fall. Stallion and Ever-Rise traded tags, taking out all three members of the opposition.

Daivari tagged back into the match, connecting with multiple strikes on Stallion. Daivari set Stallion up for a Samir dive, but Stallion missed, hitting Daivari instead. An enraged Daivari then announced he was leaving; the Singhs tried to console him. Stallion, not missing a beat, landed a beautiful dive, connecting with all three opponents. Stallion threw Samir back into the ring in time for Ever-Rise to connect with a double flapjack. On the rebound, Stallion connected with a leaping headbutt. Parker pinned Samir for the win.

This was fine enough, considering no one on Earth wants more Bollywood/Ever-Rise matches. Stallion has star potential.

WWE 205 Live results: Mansoor vs. Raul Mendoza

Chase Parker (with Matt Martel) defeated Samir Singh (with Sunil Singh)

This opened with Samir Singh gaining a quick advantage following an opening distraction. Sunil Singh’s interference from the offset forced Matt Martel to lay out the opposing manager. As soon as Chase Parker gained some footing, Sunil stole his attention, effectively reestablishing Samir’s advantage.

A suplex to the floor left Parker gasping for air. Samir transitioned into a short segment of ground control that ended following a quick boot from Parker. Samir didn’t allow momentum to escape his grasp as he locked in a deep sleeper hold that Parker narrowly escaped.

Parker connected with a few overhand rights and an elbow drop to establish his first lead. Samir then rolled to the outside and swapped spots with his brother. Mind you, Sunil has about a foot less in hair, one less tattoo, and trunks instead of tights. The referee took a few seconds of studying before determining that Sunil wasn’t legal. Sunil was then ejected.

Before Sunil could leave the ring, Samir tried to hit Parker with a clipboard while the referee was occupied. Samir instead hit his brother, expediting his trip to the back. Parker turned the distraction into opportunity as he lifted Samir and dropped him onto the turnbuckle, which led directly to the pin.

This match wasn’t fantastic by any means, but the absurdity of the Singh swap left a smile on my face.

Mansoor defeated Raul Mendoza

A collar-and-elbow tie-up led to a Mansoor favored scramble in the earliest moments of the match. The series of arm drag variations that followed left Raul Mendoza dazed on the outside. Mendoza drove Mansoor into the barricade and the ring apron to gain control. Mendoza dragged Mansoor into the ring and continued to work him over. Mendoza was dominant during this stretch, taunting Mansoor as he slowly picked away at him.
