MLW Underground results: Middleweight & Tag Team title defenses

This week’s MLW Underground was taped in Philadelphia with Joe Dombrowski and Matt Striker on the call.

On tap this week: two title matches, an MLW title contract signing, and a hardcore match to kick off the show.

Before our opening match, Real1 was wheeled out to ringside in his wheelchair after being on the receiving end of a hit-and-run by Mance Warner a few weeks ago. He threatened Warner that he called the cops which brought out the “Southern Psycho.” But, as soon as Warner got on the mic and went to confront Real1, the Calling Card Attackers’ music hit and Ricky Shane Page made his way out.

Ricky Shane Page defeated Mance Warner in a hardcore match

This was a gruesome bloodbath with weapon shots from the opening seconds as Page took weapons from an operating table as he entered. Warner was busted open early on, but fought back and threw multiple steel chairs, garbage cans and wooden boards into the ring.

Warner hit a neckbreaker onto a seated chair and then speared Page through a wooden board for a two count. Moments later Page got his revenge and threw Warner through another board. Three pairs of chairs were then set up facing each other as both fighters found themselves on the top rope where Warner superplexed Page onto the chairs.

The bloody action silenced Real1 on commentary as Warner came close with a lariat and then went face-first into an exposed turnbuckle corner. Warner was able to shake that off and hit a DDT off the apron through another wooden board at ringside.

As Warner was struggling to get into the ring, Real1 popped up from ringside showing no ill effects from the hit and run and smacked Warner with his crutch. This allowed Page to grab him and hit a modified chokebreaker (a knee to the back of the head instead of a backbreaker) to win the match for Raven’s newly formed stable.

– Backstage, Billie Starkz’s photoshoot was interrupted by Taya Valkyrie, John Hennigan and Sam Adonis who, after a few insults, agreed to a featherweight title match, later announced for next week.

MLW Middleweight Champion Lince Dorado defeated La Estrella (w/ Cesar Duran) to retain

Cesar Duran came out to introduce “the next MLW Middleweight champion” in Estrella.

The story of the match was that Estrella left Dorado and Microman high and dry a few weeks ago in a trios match, opting to take Duran’s money and join his Azteca Lucha stable instead.

If Warner vs. Page was the hardcore checkbox of the night, this was the high-flying lucha libre checkbox. Estrella took the champion out early with a twisting Fosbury Flop through the middle rope, but Dorado came back to hit a series of hurricanranas, superkicks and his handspring cutter for a two count.

Dorado then hit a top rope hurricanrana to the apron, sending Estrella to the floor. They hit a mirror image handspring twisting kick spot that left Dorado’s arm draped over Estrella for another two count. Dorado then hit a trifecta of moonsaults on each rope, but Estrella got his legs up on the third.

Estrella hit a sliding German suplex, a missile dropkick, and a poisonrana for a close near fall of his own.

Dorado hit a standing super hurricanrana from the top rope, but Duran interrupted what would have been the match-winning pinfall. Microman then appeared from under the ring to help Dorado and he took out a Duran henchman with a dive from the apron.

Microman then threatened Duran with a Singapore cane which prevented him from interfering again. Dorado reversed a suplex with a power bomb before making his way to the top rope to hit his shooting star press to pick up the win.

– Alex Kane announced backstage that in two weeks, he will take on Davey Boy Smith Jr.

– MLW owner Court Bauer hosted the Hammerstone vs. Fatu contract signing. During the signing, we had a cut-in from Raven’s Calling Card Attackers with a short video clip. Live in the arena, the signing finished with another pull-apart brawl.

– Backstage, Duran was kidnapped by two of his so-called henchmen. They grabbed him and put a sack over his head before dragging him away.

Samoan SWAT Team defeated Hustle and Power to win the MLW Tag Team titles

Calvin Tankman and EJ Nduka jumped Juicy Finau and Lance Anoa’i as they made their entrance. This kicked off the brawl-filled, hard-hitting title match that eventually saw Anoa’i picking up the title-winning pinfall on Nduka after hitting his top rope splash.

Both teams brawled around ringside before the bell rang, so they used chairs and the guardrail legally to hammer each other. Nduka flipped off the apron onto Finau before Anoa’i took everyone out with a tope con hilo.

The match officially began with a table set up in the corner of the ring that Anoa’i went through via a Nduka spinebuster.

After a break, Anoa’i made a comeback and Finau got the hot tag to run wild and squash the champions in the corner with an avalanche and a hip attack. Finau then hit a running double crossbody before defying gravity with a dive through the middle rope to the floor. Anoa’i then hit a top rope splash on Tankman for a very close near fall.

Finau teased a top rope splash, but Nduka pushed him off the top. Tankman pounced Anoa’i before the champions hit a double team spinning suplex/neckbreaker combination, but only for a two count as Anoa’i heroically kicked out.

Nduka then tried to take the easy road out and bring powder into the match, but Anoa’i kicked it out of his hands, Finau hit a Samoan drop and Anoa’i hit another top rope splash on Nduka to get the three count and pick up both the win and the titles for the Samoan SWAT Team.

Having Tankman kick out of the splash and Nduka take the loss was smart given Nduka’s future lies away from MLW.

Jacob Fatu, Samu (Lance’s father) and other members of the family came into the ring to celebrate with the new champions as the announcers hyped up next week’s Fatu vs. Hammerstone title match, suggesting it could be the second Anoa’i family title win within two weeks.

Next week:

  • MLW Champion Alex Hammerstone defends against Jacob Fatu
  • MLW Featherweight Champion Taya Valkyrie defends against Billie Starkz

MLW Underground results: Mance Warner vs. Real1 street fight

Joe Dombrowski and Matt Striker were back to call the action on the second episode of MLW Underground on Reelz.

Mance Warner kicked things off by cutting his usual passionate promo — this week at the back of the arena next to a dumpster. Warner had his light beers ready to drink as he warned Real1 he was going to kick his ass because he represented not only the south (in this north vs. south match) but everyone across the world.

Before the opening contest, Sam Laterna spoke to Jacob Fatu and Juicy Finau of the Samoan SWAT Team as Lance Anoa’i was held up and not there. After addressing that, Fatu hyped up his MLW title match against Alex Hammerstone at Superfight. Later in the night, it was shown that EJ Nduka had jumped Anoa’i in the parking lot as he was angry at Fatu for getting the next shot at Hammerstone.

Calvin Tankman defeated Willie Mack

Tankman is still half of the MLW Tag Team champions with Nduka, but with Nduka now a firm heel and Tankman a face, the future of their reign seems in doubt. Striker was full of compliments for these two, describing them as hybrid wrestlers who may be good all around, but not excellent at anything. Way to go to hype up your roster, Matt.

The two larger-than-life wrestlers took turns hitting running shoulder tackles as the crowd chanted “slap that meat.” Both ate up the crowd’s involvement and urged each other to go harder and harder.

Mack then busted out some high flying with a running hurricanrana, a dropkick and then a tope con giro to the floor. Instead of marveling at a man of Mack’s size doing what cruiserweights usually do, Striker criticized him by questioning why he would momentarily celebrate with the crowd, letting Tankman roll back into the ring. Striker said it could be a turning point in the match. Spoiler alert: it wasn’t.

An exchange of nipple twists followed, which is a sentence debut for me. Mack knocked Tankman down with a jumping kick to the head and then rocked him moments later with a thundering clothesline that shook the camera. I don’t know if that was on purpose or not, but it was a great shot that amplified the mass and power in the ring.

Back from a break, Tankman was in control, hitting a big pop-up back elbow. Mack hit a hook kick and showed great power by lifting the huge Tankman onto his shoulders and dropping him with a Samoan drop. Mack’s standing moonsault followed for a close near fall.

Mack went to the top rope, but rolled through a missed splash. Tankman floored him with a pounce as Mack sold a knee injury. Tankman then hit his ripcord elbow to the back of the head followed by the Tankman Driver for the win.

– Backstage in a music video style package, Real1 talked down to Mance Warner, insulting his parents and family the only way Real1 can.

– MLW Champion Hammerstone talked up his match with Fatu. He said they were destined to do this forever because Fatu is doing what he did to win the title: win the Battle Riot and cash in the title shot. He questioned whether he got lucky or not when he won the title from Fatu but is coming to prove he didn’t.

MLW Women’s Featherweight Champion Taya Valkyrie defeated Zoe Skye to retain

The champion had a major height advantage and floored the challenger early with a DDT and used the ring post for a standing curb stomp on the outside.

Skye rallied after the break but Valkyrie quickly reversed and tied up Skye for another curb stomp. Skye kept coming and hit a lung blower, springboard dropkick, and a top rope crossbody for a near fall.

Valkyrie dodged another top rope attack, hit a push kick and finished Skye off his her Road to Valhalla face-first Glam Slam for the win.

After the match, Laterna interviewed the division’s newest signee, Billie Starkz, on the stage but Valkyrie walked past, took a shot at her age, and sent her to the back to take the spotlight for herself.

– The build for the feud between the Bomaye Fight Club and Davey Boy Smith & the Billington Bulldogs continued. Alex Kane is still taunting the Bulldogs about having the Opera Cup, but Smith is out for revenge and told Kane to tap before he naps in their upcoming match.

– NJPW’s Lio Rush made his MLW return and said that a lot of people think they are on top, but now, it’s time for everyone to find out that he is at the top.

Real1 defeated Mance Warner in a street fight

More trash talking took place before the match with Real1 calling Warner and the females in his family “bitches.” He also brought out his slightly annoying “Eeeeeeeeverybody knows” catchphrase which made the trash can shots and kendo stick shots from Warner more enjoyable.

Before we got to the weapons, Real1 jumped Warner right from the bell, knocking him off his game with a big dropkick. The eye poke god came back with a running eye poke before he was dropped groin-first on the guardrail.

The comedy spots ended with Real1 hitting his Razor’s Edge into the ring post. Back inside, he hit Warner with a kendo stick but took too much time and eventually missed his last swing.

Warner came back into the match with his trademark jabs. Striker asked out loud if Warner wanted to bring them into the match as he was punching, so I guess he does, Matt. Warner then got revenge with kendo stick shots of his own and some lariats.

Real1 rallied and came off the top rope, but went face-first into a trash can tossed by Warner. However, after the referee got pulled in front of Real1 for a moment of protection, Real1 slipped on some brass knuckles and blindsided Warner with a right hand. In a measure for revenge for last week, he picked up the win after that loaded punch.

Dumpster match, Lio Rush vs. Davey Richards added to MLW SuperFight

Two matches have been added to the lineup for MLW SuperFight.

The promotion revealed on Thursday that a dumpster match involving Real1, Microman, Mance Warner, and a “wildcard entrant” will take place on the show. Lio Rush vs. Davey Richards has been scheduled for the event as well.

This will be the third singles match between Richards and Rush. Richards defeated Rush on a DEFY show in 2017 and Rush defeated him at PWG It’s A Long Way To The Top on November 21, 2021.

MLW.com wrote the following on the match:

Training hard in St. Louis at the Team Ambition gym, Richards vows to hold nothing back as he battles the brilliant and braggadocios Rush.

With immense momentum on his side, the “Man of the Hour” Lio Rush enters the big fight fresh off an extraordinary global tour, competing in high-profile bouts from Japan to Europe.

Now, the two will collide in what promises to be a world class showcase of combat excellence as they step into the MLW ring and hope to punch their ticket to a world title fight.

Real1 has been involved in a rivalry with both Warner and Microman as of late. He faced Microman earlier this month at Blood & Thunder and had a street fight with Warner in October at Fightland. Both match have yet to air on MLW programming.

MLW SuperFight takes place Saturday, February 4, 2023, from the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia. It will be the third straight event MLW has held in the venue.

The announced lineup is as follows:

  • Real1 vs. Microman vs. Mance Warner vs. TBA in a Dumpster Match
  • Lio Rush vs. Davey Richards
  • Rickey Shane Page vs. 1 Called Manders in a hardcore match

Mance Warner vs. Mads Krugger added to MLW Super Series

MLW has announced a new addition to the lineup for its next set of television tapings.

It was announced today that Mance Warner vs. Mads Krugger will take place at MLW Super Series this Sunday (September 18). The event, which is a TV taping for MLW Fusion, will take place in Norcross, Georgia.

Warner returned to MLW this June, appearing for the promotion for the first time since 2020. He also wrestled a pair of matches for AEW last month, including losing to Jon Moxley on an episode of Rampage.

MLW wrote about the Warner vs. Krugger matchup:

The ‘Southern Psychopath’ Mance Warner promises to crack open a few light beers and heads as he jumps in his pick up truck and drives down to Atlanta this Sunday for a big one-on-one encounter.

The bout marks Ol Mancer’s first singles match in an MLW ring since February 2020, nearly 3 years ago.

One of MLW’s beloved fighters, the Bucksnort TN wrestler is one of the most unpredictable brawlers in league history.

From his lariats to unorthodox fighting style, which often sees him use anything not nailed down, Mads Krugger will have his hands full when he collides with the eye poking hardcore hero to many.

Standing across the ring is the menacing masked mercenary known as Mads Krugger. A vicious, unrelenting force in MLW for 2 years, this promises to be a war in the squared circle.

Will Mance have his hand raised in glory? Will Mads Krugger conjure up pain and suffering in the Deep South for Ol Mancer?

The updated card for the Super Series tapings is listed below:

  • MLW World Heavyweight Champion Alex Hammerstone defends against Bandido
  • Street fight: Jacob Fatu vs. Willie Mack
  • MLW Middleweight Champion Myron Reed defends against Shun Skywalker

AEW Dark Elevation results: Hikaru Shida vs. Emi Sakura, Mance Warner debuts

Video —

Report —

Taped in Columbus, Ohio, with Mark Henry, Tony Schiavone and Madison Rayne on commentary. Schiavone introduced Rayne as the “head women’s coach” of AEW.

Hikaru Shida defeated Emi Sakura

Sakura won a slugfest early and chopped Shida into the corner, but Shida took her down with a shoulder block.

The fight went to the floor and Sakura whipped Shida between the ring apron and the ringside barricade. Sakura had a great spot in the corner where she chopped Shida to the rhythm of “We Will Rock You.” If Excalibur and Taz were on commentary they would have called it the “We Will Chop You.”

Shida came back with a suplex and a running knee in the corner, then a dropkick in the corner. A brainbuster from Shida got a near fall. After some misdirection around the ring ropes, Sakura caught Shida with a double underhook backbreaker.

Shida caught Sakura with a high knee and a sliding forearm for a near fall. Sakura hit a double underhook powerbomb for a near fall.

Sakura went for a double underhook again. Shida escaped, hit a hurricanrana, came off the top with a spin kick, and finished off Sakura with a knee strike for the pinfall.

Jade Cargill and Stokely Hathaway came out to introduce themselves to Madison Rayne. Rayne was not impressed. Rayne announced she would be an in-ring competitor and suggested she’d challenge Jade Cargill.

Cargill will be busy tomorrow night during Rampage, but Leila Grey will be available. Grey v. Rayne was made for Rampage tomorrow night.

Mance Warner defeated Serpentico (w/ Luther)

Luther attacked Warner when the fight went to the floor, hitting a pump kick and throwing Warner into the ring barricade. Back in the ring, Serpentico choked Warner against the ropes and delivered a suplex.

Warner came back with a pair of clotheslines and a big boot that Serpentico sold with a 360 bump. Serpentico came back with a flatliner for a near fall. Serpentico went for a powerbomb, but Warner escaped.

Warner hit a clothesline, a running knee and a DDT to get the pinfall.

Tony Nese & Josh Woods (w/ “Smart” Mark Sterling) defeated Damian Chambers & Dean Alexander

Woods tossed around Chambers and buried knees into his midsection. Nese got a near fall with a stomach buster on Chambers, but Alexander slid in to break up the pinfall.

Woods ran in and hit Alexander with a pair of stiff knees that took him out of the match. Chambers went to the top and Nese caught him with a flying uppercut.

Woods got the tag, charged in with a forearm on Chambers, then rolled Woods up into a German suplex on Chambers to get the pinfall. Pretty brutal squash.

A Mance Warner pre-taped promo about his match with Jon Moxley ended the show.

Final thoughts —

They can run  Elevation (or Dark) five nights a week if they keep it to 30 minutes. It was also a nice touch to set up a match on Rampage.

Mance Warner announced for MLW Fury Road

Mance Warner has been announced for MLW Fury Road.

The event takes place on August 27 in El Paso, Texas. Matches on the show will be filmed for future episodes of MLW Fusion.

Warner returned to the promotion for the first time since March 2020 at Battle Riot last week. He first debuted for MLW in February of 2019.

“A tough as nails brawler, Ol’ Mancer fights with no remorse. Violent, unrelenting and unpredictable in and away from the ring, Mance Warner is one of the most unorthodox southern wrestlers in the sport today,” an MLW.com report reads.

Warner revealed in an interview with Wrestling Inc. in December of 2020 that he had requested his release from MLW. His request was not granted until last October. The following month, MLW announced a new “open door policy” for free agents, stating that their shows would now consist of both freelance wrestlers and those under contract to MLW.

Mance Warner reportedly undergoes surgery after injury

Mance Warner has reportedly undergone surgery to repair a leg injury suffered this past weekend.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reports that Warner underwent surgery yesterday to repair a broken tibia and a broken fibula. No timetable has been given for recovery.

Warner suffered the injury in a match against the former Fandango (now Dirty Dango) on Sunday’s NGW event in Knoxville, Tennessee. The timing of the injury could not be more unfortunate for Warner, who had just become a free agent after being released from his MLW contract.

Danhausen also suffered a broken tibia and broken fibula while appearing on the same NGW event. Danhausen announced today on social media that he will be undergoing surgery on Friday to have a rod inserted into his leg.

NGW tweeted out links in support of both injured wrestlers yesterday:

“If you guys wanna show some love and support to

Danhausen, Mance Warner suffer ankle injuries at Sunday indie show

Image: Twitter

Danhausen and Mance Warner both suffered ankle injuries Sunday night at a Next Generation Wrestling show in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Danhausen tweeted a video of himself at the hospital with his left ankle wrapped up. While in character, he said that something “was broken” and asked fellow indie wrestler Warhorse, who was with him, to fix it. He later shared an image of the break, seen below.

He and Warhorse were in a tag team match against Jason Kincaid and Facade. While details are still light, several fans said he sustained the injury when someone doing a coast-to-coast move landed on his leg.

Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp tweeted that Warner’s injury appeared to be more serious as he was also seen clutching his knee. Warner was taking on Dirty Dango (fka Fandango in WWE) when he was thrown to the outside of the ring early in the match which is where he sustained the injury.

Danhausen is a regular on the indies but also has been with Ring of Honor as of late. He, and the rest of the roster, recently learned the company will go on hiatus for the first quarter of 2022 as they move toward a model based on non-contracted talent.

Warner was granted his release last week from MLW after requesting it nearly a year ago. He and Matthew Justice dropped the GCW Tag Team titles to the Briscoes at this month’s War Ready.

Mance Warner released by MLW

Mance Warner has become the latest talent to leave MLW.

Warner has been released by MLW, according to multiple reports. SE Scoops had the news first. Warner had stated in interviews as far back as December 2020 that he was looking to leave MLW. He had not appeared in a match for the promotion since the April 11, 2020 episode of MLW Fusion, taped in Mexico in March 2020.

Warner, 33, joins Jordan Oliver, Beastman, Bu Ku Dao and Leo Brien as names leaving MLW this week. MLW has yet to comment on the releases, but a PW Insider report speculates that CEO Court Bauer’s desire to run shorter TV tapings with less talent is a potential reason for the cuts.

Warner originally debuted for MLW in 2019, defeating Wheeler Yuta in his debut match for the company.

In addition to his MLW run, Warner is likely best known for his work with GCW. He appeared on last weekend’s GCW War Ready event, dropping the GCW Tag titles to The Briscoes with partner Matthew Justice.

The Briscoes win GCW Tag Team titles at War Ready

The Briscoes are the new Game Changer Wrestling Tag Team Champions.

The Briscoes defeated champions the Second Gear Crew (Mance Warner and Matthew Justice) at tonight’s GCW War Ready event in Los Angeles, California. The finish had both champions being pinned after a Jay Driller from Jay and a froggy elbow by Mark, After the match, the champions got back up to their feet and their music played as they walked to the back. The Second Gear Crew had held the titles for 92 days, defeating G-Raver and Jimmy Lloyd back on July 24.

The Briscoes made a surprise appearance back at GCW Fight Club on October 9 after the Second Gear Crew declared that there weren’t any teams in pro wrestling that could challenge them. The Brisoces, who have been ROH regulars since the company’s inception, then appeared and accepted the challenge, leading to tonight’s match.

After holding Bloodsport and War Ready this weekend, GCW will return with Evil Deeds on November 12.

The Briscoes to challenge for GCW Tag Team titles at War Ready

Following a confrontation this past weekend, The Briscoes will challenge for the GCW Tag Team titles.

Game Changer Wrestling announced tonight that The Briscoes will challenge the Second Gear Crew (Mance Warner and Matthew Justice) for the titles at War Ready, which will take place in Los Angeles on October 23 at the Ukrainian Cultural Center.

Mark and Jay Briscoe appeared at Saturday’s GCW Fight Club event after Mance Warner declared no one from any company could meet their challenge for GCW’s tag titles. The Briscoes arrived and the two teams stared down one another, with announcers speculating when the match would take place. Warner and Justice have held the GCW Tag Team titles since July 24, defeating G-Raver and Jimmy Lloyd.

Matches announced for War Ready include Minoru Suzuki vs. Nick Gage, Jonathan Gresham vs. Alex Zayne, and Jacob Fatu and Juicy Finau vs. Chris Dickinson and Starboy Charlie. Psycho Clown will also make his GCW debut on the show.

The Briscoes appear at GCW Fight Club

The Briscoe Brothers appeared on GCW Fight Club tonight, challenging the GCW Tag Team Champions.

Jay and Mark Briscoe challenged Matthew Justice and Mance Warner after they, along with AJ Gray, defeated Alex Colon, G-Raver, and Akira in a six-man tag match. Warner cut a promo after the match saying that there weren’t any tag teams in pro wrestling that could challenge them. That brought out the Briscoes, who immediately confronted the champions and answered their challenge. Announcers speculated when the match could happen.

The Briscoe Brothers have established themselves as Ring Of Honor’s top tag team, having regularly competed for the company dating back to its inception in 2002. They have held the ROH Tag Team titles eleven times. They also found success in New Japan Pro Wrestling, having won the IWGP Tag Team titles and the NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team titles with Toru Yano.

GCW will run another show at the Showboat Hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey on Sunday, a show headlined by Minrou Suzuki facing Joey Janela in the main event.

Mance Warner confirms MLW release request

During a podcast appearance Monday, Mance Warner confirmed that he has asked for his release from MLW.

While promoting his own new podcast, Warner didn’t give much in the way of details but said, “you’ve seen that on dirt sheets and that’s kind of where we’re at right now.” He didn’t seem to think he had been granted that request nor when his contract was up. He also didn’t articulate why he wanted his release.

A presence in the company since 2019, Warner was not announced for the recent MLW restart and is no longer listed on their roster page. His last MLW outing was a Tijuana street fight tag team match as he and Savio Vega lost to Mortiz and Pagano at the MLW/AAA Super Series taped in March.

The 32-year-old has been active on the indies since June and has upcoming dates for both GCW and IWA Mid-South.

Several MLW talents also asked for their release this year including Davey Boy Smith Jr. and Brian Pillman Jr. Following two losses after their November restart, MLW announced they were parting ways with Smith Jr. as his contract is up at the end of the year while Pillman Jr. has been working regularly for AEW and on the indies, but there’s been no mention of his release.

The Big Takeaways

MLW took a more recent trip down memory lane via Bucksnort, Tennessee, as we revisited two bloody bouts from the crazy world of “The Southern Psycho” Mance Warner. In one, he battled Sami Callihan in a loser leaves MLW match while the other against Jimmy Havoc in MLW’s first no rope barbed wire match since 2003.

Show Recap

A Shad Gaspard tribute graphic was shown before the start of the opening credits. During the introduction video, CONTRA unit interrupted and Josef Samael narrated us through the carnage that CONTRA has put MLW through in recent weeks.

Things began with a Warner retrospective video showing his early days in MLW where he made an enemy in Salina de la Renta and her Promociones Dorado stable. That led to Salina, executive producer of Fusion that week, booking friends Callihan and Warner against each other in a loser leaves MLW match from Fusion episode 62.

Mance Warner defeated Sami Callihan in a Loser Leaves MLW, Falls Count Anywhere match (18:13)

This was an unbelievable, gross, wild and crazy brawl which ended Callihan’s MLW run. The fight took them all over the arena with a staple gun used all over Warner’s body. In the end, “The Southern Psycho” did not give up and fought back to win a vicious and bloody fight.

Warner brought out a trash can with him while Callihan walked out and spat water at Jim Cornette (then on commentary), flipping him the middle finger. Cornette flipped out and swung his tennis racket, but missed Callihan by a mile. Callihan and Cornette were in the middle of a war of words at the time but nothing ever developed past that.

Callihan and Warner had a mutual alliance at the time as they were simultaneously feuding with Promociones Dorado. In a brilliant move from de la Renta, she booked this match to eliminate half of her problem and hopefully severely injure the other.

They immediately went at it ringside with Callihan using a trash can lid and steel chair against Warner before launching him into the crowd. They brawled through the concession stand as Rich Bocchini and Cornette got worked up thinking that Callihan could have spat diphtheria, ebola, measles, syphilis, or tetanus at them. Nowadays, you can add another one onto that list.

They brawled up the bleachers and rammed each other into the back wall before Callihan hit a brainbuster on the bleachers for a two count. Warner fought back and used a plastic trash can as a helmet to smack Callihan in the face.

Bocchini thought Cornette’s eye was becoming a little red, and Cornette wondered if Callihan had given him “trench mouth”. They brawled over to the food stand and used forks on each other before Warner poured tabasco down Warner’s throat.

They made their way back into the ring where Callihan brought out the staple gun. He went for Warner’s forehead but Warner fought back and after 10 minutes, we got our first attempt at an actual wrestling move: a sunset flip. Callihan stood firm, reached down between his legs, and staple gunned Warner between the eyes.

He then placed a trash can on Warner and swung a steel chair full force directly at his face. How are you supposed to know when that chair is coming? Warner was busted open from either the staple or the chair shot as Callihan grabbed some money from the fans at ringside. He then stapled dollar bills to Warner’s shoulders and one on his forehead.

Warner was a sight: on his knees, writhing in pain, face covered in blood, and dollar bills stapled to his shoulders and forehead. Callihan screamed at him to quit, but he didn’t. He hulked up, ripped the money off him, eye poked Callihan, and chokeslammed him into the trash can for a two count.

Callihan then brought out a wooden sheet from under the ring and set it up between two chairs. He went to the top rope but Callihan grabbed him in the groin, went up to join him, and hit a piledriver from the top rope through the wooden board A “holy sh*t” chant broke out and amazingly, Warner kicked out at two.

Callihan brought out a wooden board of his own and launched it into the ring, right onto Warner’s knee. But, he took too much time shouting “thumbs up/thumbs down” and got speared through the board he set up in the corner. Callihan also kicked out at two.

They then sat on chairs and faced one another. They took turns swinging right hands before Callihan spat in Warner’s face. Of course, Warner retaliated with a globular mouthful of his own. They exchanged some more and the next devastating maneuver was a Callihan tombstone piledriver onto a seated chair. Warner, again, kicked out at two.

Callihan then took the stapling to a whole other level. He grabbed Warner’s tongue out of his mouth and yes, you guessed it, stapled it to a piece of the wooden board. This backfired though as it only fired Warner up. He hulked up again, yanked his stapled tongue off the wood, and battered Callihan over the head with it time and time again.

Cornette was going bananas on commentary, shouting for Warner to beat him and finish the match. Warner hit Callihan with his kneepad up/down running knee to the face but Callihan kicked out at one. Warner then rested a piece of the broken wood against a prone Callihan and hit a second running knee through the wood and into Callihan’s face for the win that sent Callihan out of MLW.

– Warner’s feud with Promociones Dorado continued as we saw highlights of him battling through Ricky Martinez and Bestia 666 until he collided with Jimmy Havoc. These two lunatics faced off in four different styles of matches (SuperFight PPV, Fusion episode 77,85, 89) before this fifth and final feud ending blood bath from Fusion episode 94.

Mance Warner defeated Jimmy Havoc (w/Priscilla Kelly) in a no ropes barbed wire match (10:34)

Havoc brought a barbed wire baseball bat with him like we needed another weapon. They teased hitting the wire for a few moments, but Havoc was first to hit it torso and neck first after Warner sidestepped a lunge. That was followed up with an Irish whip that sent him back first into it. Warner pushed him head first and then a drop toehold sent him face first into the wire to bust him open.

Havoc fought back with a chain assisted right hand, a DDT, and a suplex into the wire. Havoc then attacked Warner’s knee with a chair as well before pushing him headfirst into the wire himself. He then used a staple gun to Warner’s forehead and whipped him into the wire, later taking off Warner’s shirt and stapling it to his back before then pulling it back off. Havoc then used wire cutters to cut a string of wire and use it across Warner’s forehead and then around his mouth. He then used his baseball bat across Warner’s back and forehead too. There was a real wrestling move next as Havoc used a curb stomp and attempted a pinfall, but Warner kicked out.

They gave each other the double middle finger before Warner rammed the baseball bat between Havoc’s legs, but Havoc retaliated seconds later with a staple gun shot between Warner’s legs or “the Bucksnorts” as the commentary team called it.

Warner then chokeslammed Havoc into a seated chair lying on its side, but moments later was on the receiving end of a death valley driver through a wooden board in the corner of the ring. Warner got his revenge with a chokeslam through some more wooden boards but Havoc kicked out. Havoc then had his plan of throwing salt in the eyes thwarted as Warner punched it back in his face, hit a clothesline with wire wrapped around his arm, and a piledriver onto a chair to pick up the win.

— We heard from a bloodied up Warner backstage after his victory and he told us that he ended Jimmy Havoc and now is going to hit the pay window, drink some light beers, and get some gold. He called out Alexander Hammerstone to bring us right up to the current day where he is currently feuding with the National Openweight champion and the Dynasty stable.

— We then switched to new modern footage where in this week’s quarantine roll call, we saw our favorite Mexican chefs The Parks grilling hamburgers and calling out CONTRA Unit; Gino Medina shooing away the cameras as the “mamacitas” were calling; Dan Lambert getting all serious about athletic commissions and safe working environments; Warner drunkenly drawing up the blueprints for the triple tower of doom cage match; and Myron Reed asking who is joining Injustice.

The Dynasty caught up on Facetime again as Richard Holliday casually just bought a whole beach and both he and Hammerstone revealed they have signed extensions with MLW; the Von Erichs celebrated a non-social distant family birthday that disgusted Tom Lawlor as he realized he shares the same birthday with Kevin Von Erich; King Mo is still bad mouthing Low Ki; Aria Blake and Col. Robert Parker are still flirting; Jordan Oliver tells us Injustice is 500 million deep and have men in every city and state; and endin with the Parks telling CONTRA Unit they are coming for them.
