Josh Barnett reveals Bloodsport XIV opponents for War Raiders

Erik & Ivar of the War Raiders now have their opponents confirmed for this Saturday’s Bloodsport XIV, confirmed by Josh Barnett on Thursday night.

He’s coming off a defeat to Tavion Heights this past April.

With the show fast approaching, the lineup for Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport XIV continues to take shape.

Two new matches have been added to Saturday’s card with AEW/ROH wrestler Nick Comoroto making his Bloodsport debut against Simon Gotch.

The other is Timothy Thatcher taking on Slade. It will be Thatcher’s tenth match in the format (3-5-1) while it’s Slade’s second (0-1).

Gotch has a 2-5 record in the seven Bloodsport matches he’s participated in. He was formerly one half of The Vaudevillains in WWE.

Former WWE Tag Team Champions to debut at Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport XIV

For the first time ever, a WWE tag team will be part of Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport.

Announced by Barnett on Tuesday, former two-time WWE World Tag Team Champions The War Raiders (Erik & Ivar) will both compete on this Saturday’s Bloodsport XIV, set for 1 PM Eastern on Triller+ from Rutherford, New Jersey, during WWE SummerSlam weekend.

Neither man has competed in the unique format before. Opponents were not named for either man.

The two haven’t wrestled since the July 7th episode of WWE Main Event and have competed just three times since June 1st.

The Bloodsport shows have seen an increased WWE presence in the last year with Natalya, Pete Dunne and Charlie Dempsey already representing on this show before Tuesday’s announcement.

Nick Comoroto, Jonathan Gresham part of new additions to Bloodsport XIV

Former Ring of Honor World Champion Jonathan Gresham and AEW/ROH wrestler Nick Comoroto were part of the new additions to the next Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport event.

The 14th edition is set for Saturday, August 2nd in Rutherford, New Jersey, at the Williams Center as part of GCW Summersmash weekend โ€” the same weekend WWE SummerSlam is taking place. The event will stream live on Triller+.

It will be the debut for the 34-year-old Comoroto who recently returned from a lengthy injury absence. He made a brief appearance in a May squash match loss to The Opps and hasn’t been in AEW or ROH since. According to Cagematch records, he competed on the indies five times in May but didn’t wrestle in June.

Gresham will be making his third Bloodsport appearance and is in search of his first win after losses to Masashi Tanaka and Zack Sabre Jr.

Also added to the show were regulars Matt Mako (the former Matt Makowski) and Simon Gotch.

Previously announced talent includes TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich, Janai Kai and Dominic Garrini.
