Drew McIntyre reacts to IShowSpeed’s ‘incredible’ WWE WrestleMania 42 performance

IShowSpeed made his WWE in-ring return at WrestleMania 42. He kicked off Night One teaming up with The Vision against LA Knight and The Usos.

Drew McIntyre applauded IShowSpeed’s performance at the Premium Live Event in an interaction shared on his Instagram Story. During the WrestleMania bout, IShowSpeed followed Austin Theory’s instructions to run the ropes and set up an attack on Knight. However, that was botched when Knight shoved Theory into IShowSpeed, and hit him with the BFT followed by the pin to win for his team.  Paul was infuriated and attacked IShowSpeed. With help from The Usos and Knight IShowSpeed hit a massive splash off the ringpost onto Paul laid out on the announcer’s table.

“When I was watching the end, the splash was unbelievable. I thought he broke his ribs, you bounced off him. The hardest thing to do – Logan has done the same thing, you and Logan are so similar – the hardest thing you can learn is just to be yourself on screen. You just know who you are.”

“Anybody can learn the moves, maybe not be as good at executing them, but I think that’s easy for you. The personality, knowing who you are, the between the moves s**t, that’s the important stuff. Yourself and Logan, you just got it instantly. The fans know who you all are, the fact that they can connect with you is because you know who the f**k you are. Plus you can do the moves.”

The match came about after IShowSpeed accidentally cost The Usos the World Tag Team Championship on Raw last month. Later, Knight crashed one of IShowSpeed’s livestreams at his home and attacked him.

On the other hand, McIntyre faced Jacob Fatu in an unsanctioned match the same night. Their rivalry intensified earlier this year when Fatu’s return and interference in McIntyre’s Undisputed WWE Championship reign. In the brutal showdown at WrestleMania 42, Fatu walked away with the victory.

iShowSpeed lays out Logan Paul following WWE WrestleMania 42 match

iShowSpeed already has his WrestleMania moment.

The popular streamer had his-first ever match on Saturday, losing a six-man tag team match with The Vision against LA Knight and The Usos. After LA Knight pinned Austin Theory with the BFT, Paul was upset that Speed didn’t break up the pin. Paul then proceeded to attack Speed, taking him out of the ring and set him up on the announce table. Paul was about to enter the top rope when The Usos and Knight cut him off for the save.

Speed recovered and was encouraged by the babyfaces to go after Paul, who was on the announce table. Speed launched off and hit a splash, sending Paul crashing.

Several weeks ago, Speed got involved in the World Tag Team title match against The Usos, accidentally laying out Knight. The distraction was enough for The Vision to pick up the titles over Jimmy & Jey. Speed tried to apologize after the fact, but Knight ended up laying him out during one of his streams. After more chicanery, Adam Pearce officially announced the six-man tag team match for the first night of WrestleMania.

IShowSpeed reacts to WrestleMania 42 match announcement

IShowSpeed spoke about his upcoming match at WWE WrestleMania 42 on his YouTube channel.

On April 18, during night one of WrestleMania 42, the popular YouTube star is set to team with Logan Paul and Austin Theory against LA Knight and The Usos.

Speaking to his viewers, IShowSpeed described being added to the WrestleMania lineup as “one of them crazy moments.”

“I’m going to be wrestling at WrestleMania, chat, clap it up,” he said.

“I would’ve never thought that I was going to be wrestling at WrestleMania like this.

“I’ve been a fan of WWE since I was (a kid). I think that was the first sport that I actually got introduced to, bro, was WWE, and I’m not even trolling. Like, I think WWE was the first thing that I got into. Since I was four. So this is crazy. It’s really crazy. We used to wrestle all the time, bro.”

Me personally, this is like one of them crazy moments.”

The six-man tag team match for WrestleMania 42 was set up on WWE Raw this week. It was announced shortly after Austin Theory defeated LA Knight in the opening bout of the show. During the match, Logan Paul pushed IShowSpeed into Knight, creating a distraction that eventually led to Theory scoring the win with a roll-up.

Following the match, Knight cut a promo calling for a six-man tag at WrestleMania. Raw General Manager Adam Pearce then came out and made the match official.

Six-man match official for WWE WrestleMania 42

A six-man tag match is official for WrestleMania 42.

After iShowSpeed inadvertently got himself involved again during a match between LA Knight and Austin Theory on Monday, Adam Pearce came out and made it official that Knight and The Usos would team up to take on iShowSpeed and The Vision in a six-man tag team match at WrestleMania.

Raw saw the massively popular streamer attempt to get uncursed by Danhausen, but found himself out of luck. Pearce suggested he go home, but The Vision convinced him otherwise and brought him out for Theory’s match against Knight. The finish had Paul shove Speed into Knight on the outside, causing Knight to get upset. Speed attempted to flee but was met by The Usos. Speed leaped over Knight and fled back to the ring, there Knight attempted to grab Speed. Knight took out Paul on the apron but the distraction was enough for Theory to roll up Knight for the win.

Ever since being cursed by Danhausen, Speed has found himself knee deep in the problems between The Vision, The Usos, and LA Knight. After attacking Knight by accident and inadvertently costing The Usos the World Tag Team titles on last week’s Raw, Knight retaliated during the week by attacking Speed during one of his livestreams.

LA Knight crashes IShowSpeed stream after WWE Raw angle

The WWE WrestleMania 42 build continued on Thursday — not in the ring but on an IShowSpeed live stream.

On Raw earlier this week, an angle took place where Speed — one of social media’s biggest personalities — accidentally laid out LA Knight with a brass knuckles shot. They followed up on that today with Knight crashing Speed’s stream. Speed apologized to Knight and claimed that he did not want to get involved. But Knight gave him a receipt by throwing him into his streaming equipment.

Speed was doing a bit where he would not end the stream until someone was able to make him laugh or cry. The video went off the air with Speed crying after being attacked by Knight.

Prior to the attack, Knight said he’s arranged for Speed to come to Raw in Houston next Monday (April 6) to fix things.

A six-man tag match with Speed, Logan Paul & Austin Theory vs. Knight & The Usos is scheduled to be added to the WrestleMania 42 card, though it could end up being a two-on-two tag match with Knight and Speed in the respective corners if Speed is not prepared to wrestle in time. His only WWE match so far was an appearance in the 2025 Royal Rumble.

Speed also appeared on the March 23 episode of Raw and was cursed by Danhausen in a backstage segment. Since then, Speed has played up the storyline with him having bad luck in WWE and his daily life.

On YouTube, Speed has more than 50 million subscribers. He also has 50 million followers on TikTok and 46 million on Instagram.

The Vision win World Tag Team titles on WWE Raw with iShowSpeed’s involvement

iShowSpeed accidentally helped The Vision win the World Tag Team titles.

The finish to the street fight that took place on Monday’s Raw saw Logan Paul go to his mother in the crowd who handed Paul his brass knuckles. Speed, who was sitting next to Paul’s mother, told him not to use them. LA Knight got involved, with Paul dragging Speed to ringside. Speed grabbed the brass knuckles and put them on as Knight then approached Speed from behind, accidently getting punched out in the process. Speed placed the brass ring on the apron and walked away, stunned by what had just happened.

Back in the ring, The Usos fought off Paul’s attempt to use the knux but Jimmy was smacked with them as he went for a dive. Jey Uso took out Paul as Theory dragged himself on top of Jimmy, covering him for the win and the titles.

Later backstage, The Vision were seen celebrating with Speed, who seemed unsure about everything that just went on. Heyman instructed the trio to go celebrate, declaring that the Usos were going to beat up Speed right as they were out of earshot.

Speed also appeared on last week’s Raw, encountering Danhausen who ended up placing a curse on the extremely popular streamer. In the time since, Speed has declared on his streams that he has been experiencing bad luck.

IShowSpeed teases WWE WrestleMania 42 appearance

In a recent appearance on Yahoo Sports Daily, YouTuber/Streamer IShowSpeed opened up about his WWE journey, before dropping teases about a potential WrestleMania 42 appearance.

Last year at Royal Rumble 2025, IShowSpeed made a surprising Royal Rumble appearance when he replaced Akira Tozawa. He followed it up by eliminating Otis before taking a spear from Bron Breakker and getting eliminated. Talking about that experience, Speed opened up about the chances of making an in-ring return.

“Man, I don’t know. I mean, We got WrestleMania coming up, so you may be seeing me in there, you may be not. I’m just not trying to get beat up. But, we’ll see, we’ll see. I got beat up too much times. I can’t, my body can’t take that anymore.”

When asked if one goes through a special training to get “beat up”, Speed added humor and answered the question, “I stream. That’s my special training.”

Apart from last year’s Royal Rumble, he also appeared on WrestleMania 40, where he took the RKO bump from Randy Orton on the announcer’s table.

AJ Styles returns, Joe Hendry & IShowSpeed make surprise WWE Royal Rumble appearances

Much like the women’s WWE Royal Rumble match had several surprises like Alexa Bliss and Nikki Bella, the men’s Rumble match that main evented Saturday’s Royal Rumble show also featured a few jaw droppers.

After being out since early-October, former WWE Champion AJ Styles made his return, entering at number 21. Styles appeared to suffer an ankle injury during an October 4th SmackDown match with Carmelo Hayes and has been away every since. Styles was eliminated by Logan Paul as Styles was about to springboard into the ring. He joined Jimmy Uso in eliminating Sami Zayn and also eliminated LA Knight.

After appearing on WWE NXT, reigning TNA Champion Joe Hendry made good on his hinted promise and experienced his main roster debut in the process, entering at number 15 to a massive ovation. Hendry hung in there until he was eventually eliminated by Roman Reigns without scoring an elimination.

YouTube star IShowSpeed made his WWE in-ring debut at number four, eliminated by Bron Breakker and Otis after he first joined Breakker in eliminating Otis. Breakker tossed him over the top onto Otis who then threw him over his head through the announce table.

That was after he took a violent Breakker spear which you can see below along with the scenario in how he was put into the match by Triple H for the injured Akira Tozawa.
