The final stop before Friday’s Under Siege on Friday has arrived with Thursday’s Impact Wrestling on AXS TV.

In the night’s featured match, Chris Sabin will take on “Speedball” Mike Bailey in a clash of former X-Division Champions. Sabin will challenge again for the title Friday when he faces current titleholder Trey Miguel.

Ahead of her challenge of Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo, former champion Jordynne Grace will face Alisha Edwards.

Chris Bey will go one-on-one with John Skyler. Bey and Ace Austin will defend the Impact Tag Team titles Friday against the debuting Subculture.

Angels will take on Rich Swann ahead of their trios clash on Friday while Impact Knockouts Tag Team Champion Taylor Wilde will take on Jessicka.

In a tag team match, Kenny King & Sheldon Jean will face Decay (Black Taurus & Crazy Steve). King will face Nick Aldis on Friday.

The BTI pre-show will feature Sami Callihan against Shogun.

**********

BTI pre-show:

Sami Callihan defeated Shogun

Callihan yelled “Boo this man!” as the match started and the fans did. This was a decent match where Shogun got a little bit of time to show what he could do. Callihan won with a death valley driver after a few minutes in a good match.

Main Card:

After the recap of last week’s events, the show jumped right into the first match.

Chris Sabin defeated Mike Bailey

This match was absolutely outstanding. Sabin and Bailey had a PPV main event level match in the opening of Impact here this week. This is must see.

There is no better match to setup Chris Sabin challenging for the X-Division title than facing Mike Bailey. Sabin tied up Bailey’s foot in the ropes, and then started hitting a few strikes before hitting a hesitation dropkick to the prone Bailey’s face. Bailey got loose from the ropes and did a handspring backflip to dodge a clothesline before hitting the ropes and talking Sabin’s head off with a flying kick.

Bailey hit a running shooting star press for a 2-count. Sabin went for a cradle shock, but Bailey countered into a hurricanrana and then hit a backflip double knees to the chest of Sabin. Bailey hit a moonsault to the floor on Sabin, causing the crowd to go crazy. Bailey hit an enziguri and went for Ultima Weapon, but Sabin tried to counter into the Cradle Shock. Bailey floated to the apron, and Sabin went over into a sunset flip power bomb on the floor.

Sabin went to the top rope and Bailey followed. Sabin kicked him off, but Bailey hit a flying kick and went back to the top ropes. Sabin slipped under the legs and ran up the ropes, hitting a release German suplex off the top ropes. Incredible. Sabin went for Cradle Shock, but Bailey countered into a pinfall attempt. Sabin kicked out and ran straight into a one man Spanish fly for a 2-count. Bailey hit a thrust kick to drop Sabin and hit the tornado kick in the corner. Sabin dodged Ultima Weapon, set Bailey on the ropes, hit a muscle buster, and then picked him up and hit a Cradle Shock for the win. Holy cow, what a match.

– A recap video aired of PCO and Maclin’s feud thus far. Maclin called the video package wasted motion because there was no way PCO was actually going to be at Under Siege after what he did to him recently, so he was going to name his own replacement later in the show.

Kenny King & Sheldon Jean defeated Decay (Crazzy Steve & Black Taurus)

Good match between these two teams, with King getting the win to build up to his match with Aldis.

Nick Aldis joined the commentary desk for the match, putting over Kenny King for his ability. Steve did a neck snap on Jean as the announcers talked about King elevating his game in the time Aldis was away from Impact. Taurus was isolated briefly by Jean, who hit a series of forearms on the grounded Taurus. King mocked Taurus and hit two shoulder tackles, causing Taurus to charge, and King hit a powerslam and tagged out to Jean.

Taurus hit a spinning bulldog on Jean and tagged out to Steve, who went right after Kenny King. Steve hit a cannonball in the corner for a 2-count that Jean broke up. Taurus hit an incredible tope con giro on Jean to the floor, who caught the large man completely. Impressive, at it absolutely crushed Jean, but certainly kept Taurus safe. King, meanwhile, bit Steve as he went for a monkey flip, and King hit the Royal Flush for the win.

King grabbed a mic and said he was glad to give Aldis a front row seat to what he could do, and promised to beat Aldis at Under Siege. Aldis claimed that King couldn’t keep his name out of his mouth because King was trying to make a name at Aldis’ expense. Aldis took his jacket off to fight with King, but King left the ring and said he would see him tomorrow.

– Jessicka was waiting for Rosemary backstage with the hourglass again, but had to put it down to go wrestle in a match against Taylor Wilde.

Taylor Wilde (w/ KiLynn King) defeated Jessicka

This was a nothing match as Wilde quickly hit the Witch’s Wrath for the win on the distracted Jessicka. As Wilde and KiLynn King attacked Jessicka after the match, we see the hourglass hit zero, and someone leaves the Undead Realm. Music hits, and Courtney Rush, Rosemary’s alter ego, ran out to save Jessicka.

Rush was later backstage with Jessicka and Jessicka pointed out how she looked like Rosemary, but wasn’t Rosemary. Rush clarified that Rosemary was someone who possessed her body for the last seven years, and she wasn’t sure why she was there, as there was an agreement Rosemary, but she was going to be a part of the Death Dollz for now. If this means we lose the Undead Realm stuff, I’m happy. I suspect we won’t be losing it though.

Rich Swann (w/ Sami Callihan) defeated Angels (w/ The Design)

Angels got the advantage of Swann in a really clever way, by pushing the apron up into the ring, and as Swann stepped on the apron, Angels pulled it out from under him. Angels then hit a slingshot into the ring post and hit a half nelson suplex for a 2-count in the ring. After a body slam, Swann started to hit some kicks that drove Angels to the floor. Swann hit a flipping senton off the apron and then hit a handspring cutter for a 2-count.

Angels managed to take the legs out of Swann when he was on the middle rope getting ready to hit a phoenix splash. Angels hit another half nelson suplex and then hit a moonsault to the floor on Swann. Angels hit a low down for a 2-count. Swann managed to pull Angels off the top rope and hit a 450 splash for the 3-count.

– The Design continued to assault Swann and Callihan after the match with Deaner hitting Callihan in the face with a baseball bat yet again.

– Alisha Edwards interrupted a Deonna Purrazzo interview saying that Purrazzo was kind to give Jordynne Grace the benefit of the doubt for what happened last week, but she’d soon learn what she and Eddie Edwards learned – that the locker room is full of backstabbers.

– Killer Kelly and Masha Slamovich were brawling backstage and went through a kitchen area to a back hallway where Slamovich choked Kelly unconscious with a cable.

Jordynne Grace defeated Alisha Edwards (w/ Eddie Edwards)

Jordynne Grace laughed at the strikes of Edwards, hitting a bangarang and then the Grace driver for the win.

– Dirty Dango did a pre-taped promo, and talked about how he was done with people being happy to be there, and mocked the younger generation for wanting social media likes more than live crowd reactions. Dango claimed people came to see stars, and that he was one, and it didn’t matter if he loved the business. He basically called all the wrestlers marks. He said Jim Cornette would probably bury this. I will beat him to it. This is not good. Dango said people didn’t pay to seem armdrags, but they would pay to see his arms. I have no idea where this character is going.

– A very good promo video aired for the six-man #1 Contender match for the Impact World Championship.

Chris Bey (w/ Ace Austin) defeated John Skylar (w/ Jason Hotch & Brian Myers)

I am not sure why Hotch got the win last week only for ABC to get a win back here with Bey defeating Skylar, but hey, The Good Hands are going for the titles at Under Siege anyway.

Bey had the advantage early on, using his speed to leave Skylar reeling. As Skylar moved out of the way of a plancha to the floor, Bey landed on his feet and got distracted by Myers and Hotch, so Skylar drove him face first into the ring post. When we came back from the break, Hotch had Bey in a headlock. Bey was able to get out and hit a slingshot into a DDT on Skylar for a 2-count. Skylar hit a spear from the apron into the ring for a 2-count. Bey hit a dropkick on Myers on the floor and then hit the Art of Finesse for the 3-count.

Steve Maclin/PCO segment

Impact World Champion Maclin came out to introduce his opponent for Under Siege, selecting Champagne Singh to face him as a reward for how Singh helped him attack PCO last week. The crowd was not impressed. Singh joked that he was going to finish his story, taking a shot at Cody Rhodes, and that he was going to win the title. Singh actually got a lot of heat here, as he wanted to thank a long list of people that rivaled Chris Jericho’s list of moves in WCW.

Scott D’Amore came down to the ring and Singh claimed D’Amore was on the list. Shera took the list and tried to find D’Amore’s name while D’Amore said the match between Maclin and Singh was not going to happen. Maclin claimed that D’Amore was set against him having the title. D’Amore said he was fine with him being champion, but he wanted him to fight the best in the ring, and he was clearly avoiding that now. This was a good promo from D’Amore.

D’Amore conceded that he did not respectfully hand the title to Maclin at Rebellion, but promised to do so if Maclin fought at Under Siege in a real match. Maclin refused and said he was owed the respect of D’Amore, and that he was the real boss of the company, and D’Amore answered to him and he was going to strap the title around Maclin’s waist regardless. D’Amore agreed that if he could beat PCO, he would.

Maclin insisted PCO wouldn’t be there, but D’Amore was sure, because PCO was there tonight. The lights went out, and came back on and PCO was in the ring. Maclin hit PCO in the face with the belt, but PCO no sold it, grabbed the belt, and took out Shera and Singh before posing with the title. Good angle for the go home episode.

Final Thoughts:

This was a very good show tonight featuring a phenomenal match between Mike Bailey and Chris Sabin, some strong angles and promos, and all of it served to build Under Siege. It seems like Impact does a better job building their Impact Plus specials than they do their PPVs most of the time. I won’t complain though. This was a good show.

Final Impact Under Siege card:

  • Impact World Champion Steve Maclin defends against PCO in a no DQ match
  • Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo defends against Jordynne Grace (if Grace loses, she can’t challenge for the title again while Purrazzo is champion)
  • X-Division Champion Trey Miguel defends against Chris Sabin
  • Impact Tag Team Champions Chris Bey & Ace Austin defend against Mark Andrews & Flash Morgan Webster (w/ Dani Luna)
  • Impact World Championship number one contender’s match: Eddie Edwards vs. Moose vs. Jonathan Gresham vs. Yuya Uemura vs. Frankie Kazarian vs. Alex Shelley
  • Nick Aldis vs. Kenny King
  • The Design (Deaner, Kon & Angels) vs. Sami Callihan, Rich Swann & a mystery partner
  • Trinity vs. Gisele Shaw
  • Pre-show: Knockouts Tag Team Champions The Coven (KiLynn King & Taylor Wilde) vs. The Death Dollz (Jessicka & Courtney Rush) in a non-title match
  • Pre-show: Digital Media Champion Joe Hendry defends against Dirty Dango

Impact Wrestling live results: Hard to Kill contract signing

Impact World Champion Moose, W. Morrissey and Matt Cardona  — the three men involved in the main event for January’s Hard to Kill — will sign their contracts on Thursday’s edition of Impact Wrestling.

On last week’s show, Cardona defeated Morrissey by DQ and all three men ended up in a brawl with Cardona standing tall.

Ahead of his challenge of Jonah at Hard to Kill, Josh Alexander will battle Rohit Raju. Alexander came out and beat up Raju and Raj Singh last week en route to calling out Jonah for a match.

After teaming last week, Knockouts Tag Team Champions The IInspiration and The Influence came apart leading to Jessie McKay vs. Tenille Dashwood tonight.

Doc Gallows, one half of the Tag Team Champions, will team with Joe Doering of Violent by Design for the first time to take on common enemies in Rich Swann and Willie Mack while in a pair of X-Division matches, champion Trey Miguel will face John Skyler in a non-title affair while Chris Bey takes on Laredo Kid.

Ace Austin vs. Hernandez is set for the BTI pre-show.

* * * * * * * * * *

Ace Austin (with Madman Fulton) defeated Hernandez (with Johnny Swinger) on BTI.

* * * * * * * * * *

Opening video recapped the ongoing build to Hard To Kill’s main event where Moose will defend the Impact world title against W. Morrissey and Matt Cardona.

Josh Alexander defeated Rohit Raju (with Raj Singh)

This match was booked after Alexander interrupted and attacked Raju’s match last week against Lawrence D.

Alexander started dominating the match, but after trying to take down both Raju and Singh, Raju took advantage of the distraction and cut him off for a couple of minutes in the ring. Alexander had a couple of chances to make a comeback, but Singh was there for the distraction and allowed Raju to cut him off and suplex him into the ropes.

Eventually, Alexander caught Raju with a belly-to-belly and a German to finally stop Raju. Alexander’s ribs were still hurting, so Raju was still able to get a couple of near falls with a bridge, but Alexander reversed into an ankle lock, but released to take out Singh.

Raju came back with a couple of running boots and a double stomp, but Alexander kicked out at 2.

Alexander went for the C4, but was too hurt to get Raju up, so instead took out Raju’s knee, powered up for the C4, and got the win. Really good opener, way more back and forth than I expected.

Josh Alexander will face Jonah at Hard To Kill.

– Gia Miller interviewed the Good Brothers and VBD about their alliance. Anderson said that as the champions, they could use any help they could get, so they took in EY’s offer to work together. Him and Gallows said they don’t trust VBD, but they’re willing to work together.

EY said this was a business alliance and nothing else.

– Gia Miller interviewed Chelsea Green about entering the Ultimate X match at Hard To Kill. She said it was historic and after she won it, she would finally go for the title. She said that Cardona will win the title and they’ll be a power couple.

Moose approached Green and was passive aggressive, talking smack about Cardona to her. He threatened that her marriage to Cardona will be short, even for wrestling standards.

Joe Doering & Doc Gallows (with Karl Anderson & VBD) defeated Rich Swann & Willie Mack (with Rhino & Heath)

These four teams have been feuding separately for months, but last week, we saw the union between the Good Brothers and Violent By Design be born as a means to take down their opponents.

Gallows started the match against both Swann and Mack, who tagged in and out and tried going for Gallows’ arm. Swann and Mack took down both big men with double dives.

Back in the ring, Swann and Mack kept that upper hand until Swann got cut off by Gallows with a big boot after he got distracted by Doering’s presence in the corner. Gallows and Doering worked over Swann’s midsection.

Swann managed to connect Doering with an enzuigi and tagged out. Mack came in and took down Doering and Gallows with some help from Swann. They took out Doering, but when they tried to take out Gallows, Swann was pushed off the top rope by Doering. A double chokeslam on Mack later, Gallows and Doering picked up the win.

After the match, Good Brothers and VBD attacked Swann, Mack, Rhino, and Heath, but Eddie Edwards ran down for the save. He took out Anderson, Deaner, and EY with a kendo stick and a dive, and the rest took out Doering and Gallows to clear the ring.

– VSK and Zicky Dice talked backstage about calling Myers about last week’s loss. Dice said to not call him until they face Decay and get a win.

– We got a promo from Jonah, explaining what being the top dog meant. He talked about the time his father was in prison. He compared it with how he attacked Alexander, but unlike his father, he didn’t have Alexander’s respect and thus would beat him up at Hard To Kill.

X-Division Champion Trey Miguel defeated John Skylar in a non-title match

Commentary sold this match as a speed vs power match, but they were not as mismatched.

Match started with a sequence of reversals where Miguel gained momentum catching Skylar with a dive, only to get cut off with a diving spear as he tried to do so again on the other side of the ring.

Skylar worked over Miguel and got a couple of near falls, at one point countering into a release belly-to-belly into the corner where Miguel almost landed on his neck. Miguel came back with some cheeky nandos and the Meteora for the win. Ok match, could have been better with more time.

After the match, Steve Maclin attacked Miguel on the ramp, took the title and knocked Miguel out with it. Maclin has been asking for a singles match with Miguel, and so he dragged the dead body of Miguel to the back. We then saw that Maclin had kidnapped Miguel, tied him, and seemed getting ready to torture him to get that title shot he wants.

Chris Bey (with Hikuleo) defeated Laredo Kid

Last week, Laredo Kid stood up to the Bullet Club after they bullied the staff backstage. Kid challenged Bey to a match, and thus, here we are.

Match started with a sequence of counters and reversals, with both men going for quick pin attempts.

The match would go back and forth between the both, as Bey would cut off Kid early on, but Laredo would make a comeback outspeeding Bey. It would be until Hikuleo started distracting Laredo Kid that Bey would regain control by ramming Kid to the ring post.

Back in the ring, Bey worked over Kid’s midsection, keeping Kid down and distracting the referee to allow Hikuleo to get some cheap shots in. Bey started getting too cocky and allowed Kid to slowly go for a comeback, but Bey was still able to cut him off and take him down with a flying elbow.

Bey caught Kid on the ropes and went for a springboard leg drop, but Kid was finally able to dodge him and take him out, hitting a dive that didn’t make much sense after Laredo ran the ropes on a different axis than the dive. Kid would go to the top rope to finish Bey, but Hikuleo would once again interfere and push Kid off.

The damage on Kid wouldn’t last long, he regained momentum with a series of moonsaults on Bey for a two count. Bey caught Kid with a huge spinning back kick and a slam, but only got a two count.

Laredo Kid hit an avalanche Michinoku Driver for another near fall, tried to follow with a phoenix splash, but Bey moved out of the way. They fought on top of the turnbuckles where Bey laid Kid on the ropes and hit a foot stomp for yet another two count.

Finish finally saw Kid hit a DDT, a huge senton to Hikuleo, but when he tried to go for Bey, got cut off. Kid managed to push off Bey from the top rope, but Bey was ready with a cutter as Kid dove on Bey with a plancha.

– We got a recap of Deonna Purrazzo showing up at ROH’s Final Battle to challenge Rok-C for the ROH Women’s title. We then saw footage of an autograph signing where Mickie James and Deonna Purrazzo had a confrontation that ended with a brawl.

Afterwards, Scott D’Amore and Gail Kim scolded both women and reinstituted the no contact rule. Kim said that their match at Hard To Kill will now be a Texas Deathmatch.

Tenille Dashwood (with The Influence) defeated Jessie McKay (with Cassie Lee)

Last week, both teams joined forces to take on Decay, but after not finding chemistry, stepping on each other’s toes, and ultimately losing to Decay, Dashwood looks to get back at The IInspiration.

Story of the match was to see who was the bigger heel of the two. There were a couple of mirror spots and a lot of mocking early on. The bulk of the match continued with back and forth action, but as they went on, Dashwood got more dominant after snapping McKay’s neck on the ropes.

Dashwood got a couple of near falls, best one after her diving crossbody to the corner. She tried to submit Mckay with a full Nelson, but McKay fought her off and finally made a comeback. Dashwood went for a small package, but McKay kicked out and took down Dashwood with a big boot for a two count when Kaleb pulled the ref down.

Outside the ring, Rayne, Lee, and Kaleb all got in a fight, but after the distraction, Kaleb tripped McKay and set her up for Dashwood’s spotlight kick for the win. This was way better than I expected, and will surely end with an Influence vs IInspiration title match.

– Striker and Brown ran down the card for Hard To Kill, including the newly added stipulation for Purrazzo vs James in a Texas Death Match.

Hard to Kill World title contract signing

t was time for the Hard To Kill main event contract signing. This time around, the contract signing is taking place in the ring. D’Amore is proceeding with the signing.

W. Morrissey was the first out, and seemed a bit more babyface than usual. Matt Cardona came out second, along with Chelsea Green. Finally, Impact world champion Moose came out.

D’Amore ran down the accolades that the participants have achieved during 2021 before giving Cardona the contract to sign. Morrissey jumped in and took the contract before he could sign it.

Morrissey took the mic and said that this signing wouldn’t be about mind games, he was there to become the Impact world champion, signed the contract, and left the ring.

Cardona took the mic and agreed with Morrissey, the last couple of weeks, he had been dealing with Moose playing mind games, but he was someone that kept coming back after being pushed back and he was ready for Hard To Kill. Cardona signed.

Moose told Cardona that he will once again fail, signed the contract, and told Green that after Hard To Kill, she’s going to have to realize she’s married to a midcarder. Moose insulted Green and a brawl finally broke down.

Moose took out Cardona and put him through the table as Green looked on. Moose posed with the title over Cardona’s body before leaving, but halfway through the ramp, Moose came back to continue the beat down. He tried to Pillmanize Cardona, but Green interfered. The distraction gave enough time to Cardona to recover and get a chair, but when he swung at Moose, the latter dodged and Cardona nailed Green with the chair. Moose retreated as referees checked on Green and the show went off the air. Everyone was good until the unnecessary chair shot.

Impact Wrestling live results: Rhino vs. Eric Young street fight

A street fight between former faction-mates headlines Thursday’s Impact Wrestling as Violent by Design’s Eric Young takes on Rhino.

Rhino was part of VBD until they gave him a beatdown after Rhino didn’t appreciate Young berating him after a mid-September tag team loss. He eventually re-aligned with the returning Heath and they have been feuding with his old teammates.

Thursday’s AXS TV show will also see Knockouts Champion Mickie James team with Chris Sabin against “Drama King” Matthew Rehwoldt and Deonna Purrazzo. Ahead of their title match at January’s Hard to Kill, James and Purrazzo got into a brawl as Sabin and Rehwoldt were having a match last Thursday.

The rest of the lineup includes Knockouts Tag Team Champions The IInspiration and The Influence (Madison Rayne and Tenille Dashwood) against Decay (Crazzy Steve, Havok, Black Taurus and Rosemary) in an intergender match; FinJuice vs. VSK and Zicky Dice of The Learning Tree; and Rohit Raju vs. Lawrence D.

The BTI pre-show match will see Lady Frost against Kimber Lee.

* * * * * * * * * *

Lady Frost defeated Kimber Lee (with Brandi Lauren) on BTI

* * * * * * * * * *

Opening video was a build-up to Hard To Kill’s main event, where Moose will defend against both Matt Cardona and W. Morrissey. They recapped last week’s main event where Cardona pinned Moose, and where Morrissey had enough of Moose and turned on him.

Deonna Purrazzo & Matthew Rehwoldt defeated Knockouts Champion Mickie James & Chris Sabin

Deonna Purrazzo has called for her rematch against James at Hard To Kill, but this tag team match comes after Rehwoldt challenged Sabin to a match, where Purrazzo got involved.

James and Rehwoldt started the match at the request of Rehwoldt. They did a little of power versus speed wrestling, where James dodged and took down Rehwoldt before tagging in Sabin.

Sabin and Rehwoldt went back and forth until Purrazzo distracted Sabin, who got cut off. Purrazzo and Rehwoldt worked Sabin focusing on the head, going for quick pins, and teasing James throughout to keep the referee’s attention divided.

Sabin made a comeback with a desperation dropkick as Rehwoldt went for a top rope move. James and Purrazzo came in with the tags and straight to the brawl, trading mount and strikes. James went for the MickieDT, but Purrazzo blocked.

Rehwoldt was taken out, Purrazzo blocked a Cradle Shock, only for Sabin to let her go and dive on Rehwoldt. Followed by a dive from Purrazzo, and one from James on top of her opponents.

James hit her top rope press, but Purrazzo rolled her over on landing, and with the aid of Rehwoldt outside the ring, Purrazzo kept the pin down for the win. Really good match.

– Gia Miller interviewed Matt Cardona about his win last week and his upcoming title challenge. Cardona talked about coming close to being with Impact for a year and how the title had been the goal. He said that title matches are rare and he will go all out with this opportunity.

Morrissey interrupted him and said that while Cardona always awaits his chances, Morrissey takes them, and this match at Hard To Kill should be a singles match. He threatened Cardona that accidents could happen, so Cardona challenged him to a match with his spot on the line.

– Eric Young cut a promo prior to his street fight with Rhino. He said that he will teach Rhino a violent and beautiful lesson. Doering will make sure that Heath, Swann, and Mack are not a factor.

– Striker and Brown announced that we have a new main event tonight, with Cardona vs Morrissey.

Rohit Raju (with Raj Singh) vs Lawrence D ended in a no contest

This match comes after Raju and D challenged each other to a match last week after D called Raju and Singh ‘riff-raff’.

This was a speed vs power match, but D did pretty well at keeping up with Raju’s speed. D controlled the match early on, but Raju eventually recovered and took down D with a couple of kicks.

Suddenly, we saw a split screen of Alexander storming to the ring. He came out, took out Raju and Singh, and smartly enough, D rolled out.

Alexander called out Jonah to the ring. Instead, Josh got Scott D’Amore, who tried to stop Alexander. He said that he told Jonah to stay at home while he dealt with this problem, and thus booked Alexander vs Jonah at Hard To Kill.

Alexander didn’t want to wait until Hard To Kill, and just like Moose, D’Amore kept making him wait and wait. Alexander told D’Amore that he was starting to lose his patience, but all that D’Amore could answer was that he was trying to help Alexander learn some patience. Alexander picked up Raj Singh and hit the C4, defiantly in front of D’Amore.

– Backstage, The Bullet Club were asked to sign Turning Point posters, so instead they bullied the merch guy. Laredo Kid confronted them in Spanish, so neither Bey nor Hikuleo knew what he had said.

– Steve Maclin approached D’Amore and once again called for a singles match with Trey Miguel since he was still unpinned and unsubmitted. D’Amore told him that he also hasn’t won and he even attacked a security guard, so the answer was no.

Rosemary and Havok also approached D’Amore about the Ultimate X, but D’Amore said that he had delegated the Ultimate X news to someone else.

FinJuice (Juice Robinson & David Finlay) defeated The Learning Tree (VSK & Zicky Dice)

Two stories coming together in this match. FinJuice is racking up wins on their path to another shot at the tag titles; whereas Dice and VSK are trying to impress Brian Myers and make up for their loss at Turning Point.

Story of the match was that VSK was professional and had a good gameplan, but Dice’s shenanigans kept getting in the way.

Robinson started the match and was cut off by VSK, only to recover and tag in Finlay for the hot tag. Finlay took down both VSK and Dice, at which point, FInJuice easily dominated the match and won with a diving elbow and backbreaker combo.

– Moose approached Morrissey backstage. Told him he wasn’t mad Morrissey turned on him, but he and Moose knew they didn’t want Cardona involved at Hard To Kill. Moose proposed they work together one last time and take out Cardona. Morrissey told Moose he didn’t trust him and that he’d take out Cardona by himself.

– Prior to the match, we saw Eric Young tell Deaner and Doering to stay behind. Then he started his entrance and the camera angle looked cool.

Eric Young defeated Rhino in a Street Fight

This match is almost a year in the making. EY and Rhino started their feud a while back when VBD took out Heath, but instead of feuding, EY would brainwash Rhino into joining VBD for months until Heath came back and talked Rhino into leaving the team, as Rhino had started having problems with VBD.

Both men started brawling in and outside the ring, mostly ramming each other into the ring or the guardrail. Rhino was the first to bring out weapons into the ring, but he gave EY too much time to recover. Rhino was able to block a suplex attempt from EY and drop him on the ramp.

Back in the ring, Rhino started using weapons on EY over and over, but out of desperation, EY dodged and tricked Rhino into going head-first into a garbage can, and just like that, EY turned the match around.

EY now in control, attacked Rhino with weapons, went for a diving elbow, but Rhino recovered and instead caught EY with a superplex. Hit a couple of short clotheslines and shoulder tackles before setting up for the gore.

Deaner and Doering ran down and went after Rhino, but Heath ran down and managed to take down Doering. EY used the distraction to use his mask and take down Rhino, but he only got a 2 count in the first pin of the match.

EY went for a piledriver, but it was Swann and Mack now that came down and attacked EY, but as Rhino set up a piledriver himself, the Good Brothers ran down and took out Swann and Mack. In the ring, EY low blowed Rhino and hit the piledriver for the win. Good match, but Swann and Mack’s involvement was positioned at an odd time.

After the match, all four teams brawled with VBD and the Good Brothers controlling the ring.

– Gia Miller interviewed The Influence and The IInspiration about their upcoming match and becoming a super group. Dashwood and McKay kept talking over each other and had some disagreements on the super group’s name.

Decay (Rosemary, Havok, Black Taurus, & Crazzy Steve) defeated Knockout Tag Team Champions The IInspiration (Cassie Lee and Jessie McKay) & The Influence (Tenille Dashwood & Madison Rayne) (with Kaleb)

Taurus started the match for his team, so all of the opponents ran away, so Decay used the opportunity to tease them with a fake out dive.

Once back in the ring, Decay controlled early on, but Rosemary was cut off after some illegal double teaming and interference. It wasn’t long before Lee and McKay’s shenanigans allowed Rosemary to recover and push them back to Decay’s corner.

Things came down to Rayne and Crazzy Steve, which was more of a dance than a match. Taurus and Dashwood were tagged, only for Dashwood to get military pressed to the floor, taking out Kaleb. The IInspiration and Rayne argued outside the ring, not noticing that Rosemary pinned Dashwood in the ring after a spear. If anything, this was fun.

This seems to be leading to an IInspiration vs Influence match at Hard To Kill.

– We got a recap of Lady Frost’s BTI debut. Afterwards, Miller congratulated her for officially signing with Impact. Before she could talk about her plans, D’Amore approached Frost and also congratulated her. Frost asked to enter the Ultimate X match at Hard To Kill, but D’Amore told her that she needed to go after the newest member of Impact’s office, Gail Kim.

Gail Kim told her she’d be in the match, against Rosemary, Jordynne Grace, Tasha Steelz, Chelsea Green, and Rachael Ellering.

Striker ran down the current card for Hard To Kill, confirming Alexander vs Jonah and the Ultimate X Match.

Matt Cardona defeated W. Morrissey via DQ

This match was signed earlier today after Cardona challenged Morrissey to prove that he belongs in the Hard To Kill main event.

Match started on the ramp, as Morrissey rushed Cardona during his entrance. They brawled around the ring, but the referee wouldn’t sound the bell to start the match. After about 3 minutes of Morrissey’s beat up on Cardona, they finally made it to the ring and the match officially started.

As soon as the bell rang, Cardona caught Morrissey with a codebreaker, but couldn’t keep Morrissey down, who came back and cut off Cardona once again. Morrissey worked over Cardona, mostly switching between big boots and choking Cardona. When Cardona tried to make a comeback, Morrissey pushed him off the ring onto the floor, maintaining control. Morrissey busted open Cardona, sending him to the ring post as a lawn dart.

Morrissey continued the beatdown, but Cardona managed to dodged one of Morrissey’s corner splash and got enough time to recover and come after Morrissey with strikes. Cardona managed to bring down Morrissey, hit a dropkick and the corner running boot for a near fall. Cardona couldn’t follow up after suffering blood loss, but when Morrissey went for the powerbomb, Cardona managed to drop down, and hit Radio Silence for a huge near fall.

Morrissey caught him with a big boot and continued the beatdown, but after the referee tried to stop Morrissey, the latter pushed the referee away and so Morrissey got DQ’d. Morrissey answered with a big boot to the referee’s face. Morrissey hit the powerbomb on Cardona for good measure. Chelsea Green ran down to check on Cardona. Moose tried to get Morrissey to take out Cardona, but instead Morrissey hit Moose with a big boot. Morrissey threatened Green, but after Morrissey pushed Green, Cardona jumped in and took down Morrissey. Show ended with Cardona and Green posing with the title in the ring, as Moose and Morrissey looked on.

This was really good, the finish was unfortunate, but the match and post-match angle were the perfect build to Hard To Kill.

Impact Wrestling live results: The fallout from Turning Point

After attacking former Impact World and X-Division Champion Josh Alexander at Turning Point, Jonah will make his TV debut on Thursday’s Impact Wrestling.

Jonah attacked from behind as Alexander was doing an in-ring promo addressing his recent title loss to Moose, leaving him bleeding from the mouth.

After last week’s Wrestle House 2 episode, this will be the first traditional show post-Turning Point as the company prepares for the Hard to Kill pay-per-view in January.

Thursday will also see Chris Sabin take on “Drama King” Matthew Rehwoldt (w/ Deonna Purrazzo) in singles action. This was also set up at Turning Point via a backstage confrontation.

In a grudge match and feud that has lasted several weeks, Willie Mack and Rich Swann will take on Violent by Design’s Deaner and Doering.

The BTI pre-show match will see Bullet Club member Hikuleo (w/ Chris Bey) vs. Jake Something.

Our live coverage begins at 8 PM Eastern.

Jake Something defeated Hikuleo (with Chris Bey) on BTI

* * * * * * * * * *

Opening video recapped Turning Point’s Cardona vs Morrissey match, Jonah’s debut, attacking Josh Alexander; as well as the Turning Point main event where Moose retained the Impact world title.

Matt Cardona came out to the ring to open the show. Cardona talked about coming close to defeating Morrissey, if not for Morrissey who took out the referee and Moose who got involved. He said he wasn’t complaining, but he was still focused on the title, at which point Moose came out to the ring.

Moose talked about Cardona’s achievements in life, but pointed out that Cardona has never been able to be a top guy in the business. Moose questioned if Cardona really wanted to step up against himself after what he did to Edwards at Turning Point. Moose called Cardona a midcarder and suggested a name change to Mid Card-ona.

Cardona slapped the mic from Moose’s hands and they started brawling. Morrissey came to aid Moose, and Cardona managed to take him down, but after the distraction, Moose hit the lights out. They set up a second, but Edwards ran down for the save. Moosa ran away before Cardona could land radio silence.

– Violent By Design cut a promo about their match at Turning Point, where they showed Rhino what happens when someone betrays them. EY said that tonight, they take out Rich Swann and Willie Mack on the path to the tag team titles.

– Backstage, Scott D’Amore and Cardona met. D’Amore booked Cardona and Edwards vs Moose and Morrissey. Cardona asked for a title shot, so D’Amore told him to show he deserved it tonight.

Jordynne Grace and Rachael Ellering walked up to D’Amore and asked to join the Ultimate X match. Tasha Steelz and Savannah Evans also wanted a spot in the match. D’Amore said that next week he’ll announce the participants, but Evans and Ellering will wrestle for the final spot of the match.

Chris Sabin defeated Matthew Rehwoldt (with Deonna Purrazzo)

This match came up after Rehwoldt challenged Sabin to a match after seeing how Sabin had taken the t-shirt designed to trash Sabin, and turned it into a positive design. Purrazzo came out with Rehwoldt, but instead joined the commentary team.

Match saw Sabin control early during the chain wrestling exchange and with a series of arm drags. Rehwoldt was able to cut him off by snapping his arm on the ropes, and later on catching him with a forearm that sent Sabin to the floor.

Back in the ring, Rehwoldt worked over Sabin, but he kept playing to the crowd and eventually gave Sabin the time to recover, escape from a sleeper, and stun Rehwoldt over the ropes.

Sabin made a comeback, took down Rehwoldt with a couple of forearms and kicks and a jumping tornado DDT. Sabin prepared to end Rehwoldt, at which point Purrazzo left the table, distracted Sabin, and set him up for Rehwoldt to take him out. Sabin was able to recover and hit Cradle Shock for the win

On the floor, Mickie James ran down and brawled with Purrazzo, making sure she couldn’t interfere anymore. They brawled to the back.

While the match was good, this was more about Purrazzo getting interviewed on commentary, talking about coming back after losing the title and challenging James at Hard To Kill. Purrazzo decimated Striker on commentary, it was beautiful.

– Chelsea Green asked D’Amore for a spot at the HTK Ultimate X match, as did Alisha Edwards. He kept repeating that the announcement is coming next week.

Jai Vidal also asked for a match, but D’Amore only had a match available, and it was against Jonah.

Jonah defeated Jai Vidal

This was obviously a squash, Vidal got an early strike, but was quickly destroyed by Jonah with a series of slams, ending with a top rope plancha for the pin.

After the match, Jonah took a mic and said that the wrestling industry is talking about him. He said he will take over Impact. He said his appearance at NJPW’s San Jose show was to target Moose, since he had the title. However, he first wanted to take out Alexander since every fan kept saying Alexander was the best wrestler.

– We got a recap of Turning Point’s X Division match where Trey Miguel defeated Laredo Kid and Steve Maclin. Afterwards, Gia Miller interviewed Miguel about his win. Miguel said that he really wants to pin Maclin and shut his mouth, but when he went for the double pin, Maclin kicked out while Kid didn’t. Maclin then jumped Miguel and they brawled backstage. Brawl ended with Miguel hitting a dive from some boxes.

– We got an installment of Brian Myers classes. Myers wasn’t in the venue, so VSK and Dice kept trying to talk to him. They wanted a substitute teacher since they had lost at Turning Point. Tonight, they’re facing FinJuice and hope to make amends with Myers.

– Backstage, Moose told Morrissey that they needed to get rid of Cardona. Morrissey said it wasn’t any of his concern if Cardona went after Moose or not, but Moose argued that if Cardona is present, he can’t give him a title shot. Morrissey brought up that Moose hasn’t given him the title shot he already promised, but Moose convinced him to stay with him.

Savannah Evans (with Tasha Steelz) Rachael Ellering (with Jordynne Grace)

Winner of this match qualifies to the Hard To Kill Ultimate X match, where the winner gets a title shot against the winner of Purrazzo vs James. Evans has a win over Ellering in their career, so Ellering is also trying to get that win back.

Match was a bit of a hoss fight, with many shoulder tackles early on. As they went on, Evans gained momentum slamming Ellering left to right, but she couldn’t keep her down for the 3 count.

Ellering went for a comeback, but when she went for the springboard leg drop, Evans straight up blocked the leg with her hands and once again cut off Ellering. Evans hit a big DDT, but Ellering still kicked out.

Ellering and Evans traded strikes and the former was finally able to take down Evans, followed with some running kicks and sentons. Ellering hit a discus forearm, but got distracted with Steelz and Grace that were chasing each other around the ring. Ellering took out Steelz, hit a TKO on Evans, and picked up the win.

– Tenille Dashwood returned and met up with Madison Rayne and Kaleb. They told her about The IInspiration and Dashwood was annoyed that she wasn’t the only Australian anymore.

Both teams met backstage and it turned out that Dashwood was BFFs with Lee and McKay. Rayne wasn’t so excited about the new friendship.

Rich Swann & Willie Mack defeated Violent By Design (Joe Doering & Deaner) (with Eric Young)

Both teams have been racking up wins in the last couple of weeks, so they both collide with hopes of getting closer to a shot at the tag team titles.

Doering and Swann started the match and Doering quickly and easily took control, but as soon as Deaner tagged in, Swann and Mack regained control of the match. After hitting a couple of double team moves, Swann got the first 2 count of the match. Before they could continue, Doering jumped in and took out Mack.

VBD cut off Mack and worked over him for a couple of minutes, with Doering doing most of the work, while Deaner came in and out with assists. It was until Mack managed to land a desperation pop-up forearm on Deaner, that he was able to tag in Swann.

Deaner made the mistake of not tagging out, and so Swann was able to take him down with a cutter, and tried to follow with the Phoenix Splash, but EY distracted him. Mack jumped in and took out Deaner, setting him up for the PS and the win.

After the match, EY and Doering jumped Mack and Swann. They teased piledriving Swann, but Heath and Rhino came out for the save and into the brawl with VBD until they cleared the ring.

Backstage, Hernandez asked Johnny Swinger about what happened at Wrestle House. He told him that if he had indeed gotten married, he would have given him money. Desi Hit Squad and Lawrence D approached them, with the latter calling Raju riff-raff. D challenged Raju to a match next week.

Also for next week, Purrazzo and Rehwodlt team up against Chris Sabin and Mickie James. The Influence and The IInspiration vs Decay, and a street fight between Eric Young and Rhino.

Matt Cardona & Eddie Edwards defeated Impact World Champion Moose & W. Morrissey

The feud between these four men has gone on for months, but it wasn’t until Moose won the title that Cardona started to chase Moose, with hopes of a title shot at one point.

Cardona and Morrissey started the match after Moose dodged away from Cardona. He and Edwards were able to dominate Morrissey early on and clear the ring, but once back in the ring, Morrissey cut him off after Cardona distracted himself with Moose.

After a couple of minutes of heat, Cardona escaped Morrissey’s hold and tagged in Edwards. He had a good hot tag, but suddenly, Morrissey pushed him off the top rope all the way to the floor. The fall looked terrible, but seemed ok.

Moose and Morrissey now had Edwards cut off from his corner, so they worked over him for another couple of minutes, going after his head. They did a good job isolating him and keeping Cardona off the apron for when Edwards had managed to escape them.

Eventually, Cardona tagged in, took out Morrissey, and finally got his hands on Moose. He hit a codebreaker and a running kick for a two count. Everyone jumped in and took each other out with kicks. Edwards took out Morrissey with a dive, leaving Moose in the ring, for Cardona to counter a lights out and an uranage with a roll up to win the world champion.

After the match, Morrissey turned on Moose and laid him out with a big boot. The alliance is over.

Impact Wrestling live results: Wrestle House II Thanksgiving special

Following last Saturday’s Turning Point, Impact Wrestling brings back fan favorite Wrestle House on the Thanksgiving edition of their weekly show.

Decay used their dark magic to teleport Johnny Swinger, John E. Bravo, Hernandez, Madison Rayne, Kaleb With a K, Alisha and the Swingerellas to Wrestle House to close last week’s episode of Impact as this week’s two-hour show will focus on the second edition of the reality-based show.

Next week’s show will return back to their usual format with matches taped from this past weekend in Las Vegas.

Wrestle House originally premiered last summer and was centered around the style of other reality shows like Big Brother, painting the picture of Impact roster members living together. After airing episodes throughout weekly Impact programming throughout the summer and early fall, the show resulted in a storyline wedding between John E. Bravo and Rosemary.

On the Before The Impact pre-show, Bullet Club’s Chris Bey will take on Fallah Bahh.

Our live coverage kicks off at 8 PM Eastern.

* * * * * * * * * *

Chris Bey (with Hikuleo) defeated Fallah Bahh on BTI

* * * * * * * * * *

James Mitchell is tonight’s narrator. He first recapped Wrestle House 1 which ended with the engagement of Rosemary and John E. Bravo which would later lead to the attempted murder of Bravo at the hands of Lawrence D, which in itself would lead to the rise and fall of Swinger’s Palace.

In this version of Wrestle House, we have Black Taurus, Crazzy Steve, Havok, and Rosemary from Decay; Johnny Swinger, Hernandez, Alisha Edwards and the Swingerellas from Swinger’s Palace; and Madison Rayne, Kaleb, Chris Sabin, and John E. Bravo. Sabin is the sexy hunk of the house.

Decay kept them all hostage until they made Swinger be happy and thankful since Decay will gain Bravo’s virgin blood.

The show was structured as a countdown to Thanksgiving day. On the second day, Kaleb tried to recruit Riley of the Swingerellas as a reality TV star, but when he noticed that she only had eyes for Sabin, Kaleb challenged him to a match.

Chris Sabin defeated Kaleb

This actually happened in a venue with Dr. Ross, Sinn Bodhi and Mitchell on commentary. Yet, the commentary audio was only on when the announce table was on screen, not during the match. Sabin won a short match with a slow motion Cradle Shock after escaping Kaleb’s selfie submission attempt.

On the third day, Rayne complained that everyone was taking their time to hang out. Black Taurus read one of the classics, dressed in a suit while listening to classical music. It was perfect.

Rosemary and Havok told the crowd that everyone booked for Turning Point were getting a chance to leave for the day and go wrestle.

Edwards and Rayne joined together to come up with a plan to make Swinger happy so they could all leave. The plan was a match from IPWF: Julian Cumberbund (Ethan Page) vs. Downtown Daddy Brown (Willie Mack). The idea was to give Swinger a match against Brown so Swinger and he could wrestle one last time. Brown and Swinger hated each other so much that Brown decided to come out of retirement for this, but not until the morning because Brown went to sleep at 6 PM.

Downtown Daddy Brown defeated Johnny Swinger

This was worked as an old school match. Bravo had a close chance at winning after a referee bump, but Brown recovered and got the win.

After the match, everyone was transported back to the house where Alisha accidentally revealed to Swinger why they were in the house. An angry Swinger told them that now he was going to keep them all imprisoned in the house because he was never going to be happy…on purpose.

On the fourth day, after some arguing, the house divided itself between the ones who wanted to leave and the ones that wanted to help Swinger. Rayne asked for a 5-on-5 match and if they win, they get sent back. Alisha asked that the fifth person on her team be Eddie Edwards. Everyone sang Edwards’ theme for his entrance.

Decay (Rosemary, Havok, Black Taurus & Crazzy Steve) and Chris Sabin defeated The Influence (Madison Rayne & Kaleb), Eddie Edwards, Alisha Edwards, & Hernandez

Decay controlled most of the match as even Edwards couldn’t handle Steve and Sabin’s double teams. They teased a 10-person suplex, but instead broke it up and all of Decay bit their opponents, followed by Rosemary hitting a spear on Alisha for the win. Sabin was enjoying being part of Decay a bit too much. After the match, Kaleb kept hitting on Riley, told her she should become a full time referee.

As a new plan, Rosemary and Swingerella #1 decided to bring in Lawrence D as her boyfriend to make Swinger jealous. Apparently, this is D’s house. Swinger didn’t care about D.

Rayne brought in Swinger to Locker Room Talk to have him meet Swinger’s hero, Gene Simmons. It was actually The Demon, but Swinger wasn’t smartened up about it. The Demon told Swinger about finding love and never letting go once he did. Swinger was now motivated and asked Swingerella #1 out, but since Lawrence D was still there, he got jealous, so Swinger challenged him to a match for the love of Swingerella #1.

Johnny Swinger defeated Lawrence D

This was a match between two tricksters. They kept cheating against each other until Bravo stopped a pin after finding out that D had sprayed his cologne on Swinger. During the distraction, Swinger pulled a Mr. Fuji on D and got the pin. After the match, Swinger proposed to Swingerella #1. Rosemary said that no one was leaving until they went to the altar.

The next day, Alisha Edwards was worried that Eddie was going to ruin the wedding. Swinger asked Hernandez to be his best man. Hernandez accepted, but later told Alisha that he was worried that there was something else going on.

Later on, Hernandez found out that Rosemary was trying to steal Bravo’s soul, but when he tried to stop them, Rosemary transported him into a match with Black Taurus. Decay surrounded Hernandez, coming off like heels.

Black Taurus (with Decay) defeated Hernandez

Taurus jumped Hernandez and had some offense, but Hernandez came back with a low blow. Hernandez went for a border toss, but Taurus dodged. Decay distracted Hernandez and allowed Taurus to take out his leg to roll him up for the win. After the match, Rosemary erased Hernandez’ memory.

Eddie Edwards also heard Decay and Bravo talk about their plan. As he was about to tell everyone, Rosemary cursed him so he would be drunk.

On their way to the wedding, Kaleb left Riley alone after Rayne bullied him, so Sabin walked up and said they could go together.

It when then time for the wedding with Mitchell officiating. Swinger was the first to give his vows and then talked about all the women he’d been with in the past. Edwards ran in and tried to reveal the truth, but he was too drunk to talk. Hernandez recovered his memory and the truth was out: Rosemary was trying to kill Bravo. It then became a weird joke about Britney Spears.

Bravo revealed that he wasn’t a virgin anymore, so Rosemary couldn’t get his blood. Swingerella #1 revealed that she and Bravo had been sleeping together, but Swinger was ok with that as rule #2 of professional wrestling is to never fall in love with a Rizzazz, per Swinger. Bravo proposed to Brunhilda, Swingerella #1’s real name instead, and Mitchell made it official.

Afterward, they all had Thanksgiving dinner and everyone was thankful. Santa Claus showed up.

I feel like I need to apologize on behalf of this website to whoever read this full recap, it was an interesting show to say the least.

Impact Wrestling live results: Josh Alexander vs. Minoru Suzuki

The go-home edition of Impact Wrestling before Saturday’s Turning Point is headlined by a massive clash between Josh Alexander and Minoru Suzuki.

The two have been at odds for weeks and will finally meet in a main event singles bout.

Thursday’s show will also feature matches that have Turning Point implications as Steve Maclin will face Laredo Kid where the stipulation is that if Maclin wins, Saturday’s X-Division title match between champion Trey Miguel vs. Laredo Kid becomes a three-way.

Just days before their Knockouts Tag Team title defense against Decay at Turning Point, The IInspiration will take on the Undead Bridesmaids (Kimber Lee & Brandi Lauren) in non-title action.

Thursday will also see a preview of Saturday’s Tag Team title match with Doc Gallows vs. Hikuleo. Gallows and Karl Anderson (The Good Brothers) will defend the belts against Hikuleo and Chris Bey (Bullet Club) on Saturday.

The BTI pre-show match will see Brian Myers face former Learning Tree stablemate Sam Beale.

* * * * * * * * * *

Brian Myers defeated Sam Beale on BTI

Myers attacked Beale with a chair after the match. Rich Swann and Willie Mack made the save.

* * * * * * * * * *

Opening video was a recap of last week’s main event that saw Eddie Edwards get crowned as the number one contender to Moose’s World title, defeating W. Morrissey and Matt Cardona.

Steve Maclin defeated Laredo Kid

The stipulation of this match was that if Maclin could defeat Laredo Kid, Maclin would be added to the Turning Point X Division title match between Trey Mguel and Laredo Kid. This came after Maclin argued to D’Amore and Miguel that he was unpinned and unsubmitted since he joined the Impact roster and deserved a shot.

Match started with a couple of spots going back and forth with reversals and lucha sequences, ending with Maclin dodging a dive from Kid and following with one of his own where it seemed like he connected Kid on the chin with his head.

Back in the ring, Maclin missed the corner crosshair spear, which Kid turned it into a senton to the floor. Kid hit a Michinoku driver and a set of moonsaults for a near fall. Kid went for a third one, but Maclin dodged, connected with a running knee for a two count.

Both men traded a couple of strikes, Kid hit a DDT, only for Maclin to jump and hit a lariat for the double knockout tease. Kid came back with a poisonrana for a two count, tried to follow with a moonsault, but was Maclin recovered, hit the crosshair and Mayhem for all for the win.

Maclin will join Laredo Kid as they challenge Trey Miguel for the X Division title at Turning Point.

– We got a recap of Brian Myers taking out Sam Bealer on BTI with a chair. Afterwards, we saw Beale being sent to the hospital while Swann cut a promo on Myers, saying that his actions were disgusting and instead, challenged Myers to a singles match at Turning Point. Good promo, but weird to do it with Beale on a stretcher in the back.

– Trey Miguel addressed Maclin’s win. He said that Maclin kept getting shots because he complains that he’s never pinned, so he promised to go straight for him at Turning Point.

– Gia Miller asked Ace Austin if he had accepted the challenge that Chris Sabin issued last week. Austin said he wasn’t going to accept the challenge, but then Sabin confronted him and told him that Austin needed to prove himself and prove that he could get the win without Fulton doing the work for him. Austin and Fulton attacked Sabin, and once again, it was Fulton who did most of the work.

Knockouts Tag Team Champions The IInspiration (Cassie Lee & Jessie McKay) defeated The Undead Bridesmaids (Kimber Lee & Brandi Lauren) in a non-title match

Two weeks ago, Cassie Lee and McKay recruited Lauren and Kimber Lee to take out Decay, but after failing to do so, The IInspiration decided to teach them a lesson and take them out of the division, hence this match.

This was a squash. IInspiration controlled early on by dodging around the Bridesmaids attacks and constant tags. Lauren would try to make a comeback and managed to clear the ring at one point, but Lee and McKay quickly came back, took out Kimber Lee, and pinned Lauren with a double team move.

After the match, all of Decay came out to confront The IInspiration. Decay surrounded the ring, took the titles as Lee and McKay sat in fear. Good flex by Decay, but having Crazzy Steve and Taurus out there could come off a bit heelish.

– Impact+ Flashback Moment of the Week was Rhino and Heath defeating Reno Scum from last year.

– We got a recap of Chelsea Green pinning Alisha Edwards to become the number one contender to the Digital Media Championship. Afterwards, Miller interviewed Green about her challenge. Green said that as soon as she saw the title, she knew she wanted the title and was going for it.

Miller also asked Matt Cardona about his direction after losing last week’s main event. Cardona said that he was going to keep on chasing the title and wanted to take on whoever won at Turning Point. W. Morrissey confronted him and told Cardona that he wasn’t going to get that shot, because Morrissey would. Cardona challenged Morrissey to a match at Turning Point.

– Gia Miller interviewed Eddie Edwards about being the first challenger to Moose. Edwards brought up the history they’ve had before Moose jumped him from behind. Moose and Edwards brawled to the stage and to ringside, where Moose dropped Edwards with an apron bomb. Moose attacked Edwards’ neck with a chair, but was able to recover and dodge a second attack. Edwards hit Moose with a chair, hit a Liger bomb, a Boston knee party, and tried to finish the job by diving on Moose from a ladder through a table, but Moose was able to recover and run away. Seems like the build up to Full Metal Mayhem.

Backstage, Scott D’Amore confronted Moose and indeed booked a Full Metal Mayhem match for Turning Point.

– Mercedes Martinez cut a promo saying she’ll become the Knockouts Champion at Turning Point.

Doc Gallows (with Karl Anderson) defeated Hikuelo (with The Bullet Club)

The Bullet Club will be challenging for the Impact tag team titles at Turning Point, in anticipation to the match, we got a battle of the hosses between Hikuleo and Gallows.

Match started and they went straight for strikes as Gallows punched Hikuleo around the inside and outside of the ring. Back in the ring, both men clashed with shoulder tackles until Bey and ELP jumped on the apron and distracted both Gallows and the referee, allowing Hikuleo to low blow Gallows and gain control.

Gallows would try to counter Hikuleo’s strikes, but kept getting taken down at every attempt. Gallows eventually caught Hikuleo with clashing clotheslines and both men went down, allowing Gallows to catch a breather to recover. Gallows would come back with a couple of big boots for a near fall.

Hikuleo hit a powerslam for a two count, tried to follow through, but Gallows raked his eyes and hit the two handed chokebomb for the win. Ok match, really slow even for a hoss fight.

– Gia Miller had a sit down interview with Deonna Purrazzo and Matthew Rehwoldt. Miller tried to ask Purrazzo about her whereabouts in the last month, but Purrazzo said that she had just been home and that she had no plans to return to the ring. Purrazzo said that she didn’t care about interviews or telling people what her next move would be, and everyone would have to wait and see.

– FinJuice cut a promo about not having much success since coming to Las Vegas. They said that they’re back at the bottom, but it’s not the first time they have to rise back to the top. D’Amore approached them and gave them a match against Decay on Turning Point so they could get back on track.

– Eric Young and VBD cut a promo about Rhino having to deal with the ramifications of the decision to betray them. He told Rhino that at Turning Point, VBD will terminate him and Heath.

The Demon & Decay (Black Taurus & Crazzy Steve) defeated Johnny Swinger, Hernandez, & Fallah Bahh

The Demon and Swinger’s rivalry started at Bound For Glory’s Call Your Shot Gauntlet match, after Swonger confused The Demon with Gene Simmons, tried to get his autograph, and was eliminated for doing so.

Match started with Swinger pretending to be a matador on Taurus, and it worked until it didn’t. Hernandez and Steve came in next, with the former taking out Steve with a big bomb. Bahh tagged in and continued working over Steve.

At the end, Swinger tagged in, Steve cleared away and tagged in The Demon, who took out everyone. Decay took out Bahh and Hernandez with dives, while The Demon hooked in a cobra clutch on Swinger for the submission win. Not sure if we can even call this a match.

After the match, John E. Bravo tried to help Swinger, but Swinger said he had just hit rock bottom and walked away. Rosemary and Havok approached Bravo and told him that they’d help him help Swinger if he offered his blood. This show is being main evented by Suzuki vs Alexander.

– Jordynne Grace cut a promo prior to her match with Chelsea Green at Turning Point. They talked about Green not being able to win the title at the inaugural match, and neither would she at Turning Point.

– Mickie James also cut a promo prior to her Turning Point match with Mercedes Martinez and told her that she made the mistake of trusting her, but at Turning Point, she is going to whoop her butt.

– Brown and Striker ran down the updated card for Turning Point, including Chris Sabin vs Ace Austin, VBD vs Rhino & Heath, Rich Swann vs Brian Myers, Decay vs The IInspiration for the Knockout tag titles, Mickie James vs Mercedes Martinez for the Knockouts title, Trey Miguel vs Laredo Kid vs Steve Macling for the X Division, The Good Brothers vs The Bullet Club for the tag titles, and a Full Metal Mayhem match between Moose and Eddie Edwards for the Impact world title.

Also, on the Countdown to Turning Point, FinJuice vs Decay and Jordynne Grace vs Chelsea Green.

Josh Alexander defeated Minoru Suzuki

Suzuki made his Impact debut a month ago, targeting Alexander over everyone else. While Alexander’s focus was on Moose, Suzuki was able to get momentum during his debut. D’Amore decided to book this match so that Alexander could deal with his problems before he could continue his chase for the World title.

Match started with some chain wrestling, but after Alexander gained some advantage, Suzuki turned things violent and started going for strikes and tried to attack Alexander with a chair. A poor soul tried to stop Suzuki and got taken out instead.

Suzuki and Alexander brawled outside the ring for some time, mostly back and forth exchange of strikes. As they went on, Suzuki started to gain more and more momentum over Alexander.

Back in the ring, Alexander managed to make a comeback and tried to go for the C4, but couldn’t lock it in. They kept going back and forth, trading kicks and strikes. Suzuki provoked Alexander to chop and and continued with back and forth challenges, but again, it was Suzuki who gained more and more momentum until Suzuki trash talked Alexander into waking up.

Suzuki locked in the sleeper and tried to follow with the GSP, but Alexander blocked it and slammed Suzuki over his head. Alexander came back with a rolling plunge and a knee to the head, but only got a two count. Alexander locked in the ankle lock, but Suzuki turned it into a sleeper and back again to the ankle lock by Alexander.

Both men kept reversing each other’s attempts to lock in the C4 and GSP respectively, but at the end, Alexander stumbled Suzuki with a forearm and hit the C4 for the win. Great match, a better display of a Suzuki match compared to some of his other US televised matches.

– Backstage, Bravo and Swinger came out and were met by Decay and a couple more people. Decay transported everyone to Wrestle House II. It’s back.

Impact Wrestling live results: Three-way World title contender’s match

Thursday’s Impact Wrestling is headlined by two high stakes matches that will crown new number one contenders for two different title matches at this month’s Turning Point.

Matt Cardona, Eddie Edwards and W. Morrissey will clash in a three-way match to determine the next challenger to Impact World Champion for Moose. Edwards and Morrissey have feuded in recent months, while Cardona and Moose had a backstage brawl recently.

As a result of another feud that has been ongoing for months, FinJuice and Bullet Club (Chris Bey & Hikuleo) will meet yet again with a shot at the Tag Team Champions The Good Brothers on the line. Impact VP Scott D’Amore decreed that there must be a winner.

After Madison Rayne and Kaleb with a K complained to Impact management about their treatment in the company, D’Amore awarded the two with matches Thursday. Rayne will face the next contender for the Knockouts title in Mercedes Martinez while Kaleb will take on Minoru Suzuki.

Also, The Undead Bridesmaids (Kimber Lee & Brandi Lauren) will face former Knockouts Tag Team Champions Decay (Havok & Rosemary) as current champions The IInspiration try to soften up the former titleholders ahead of their Turning Point rematch.

The BTI pre-show match is Savannah Evans vs. Rachael Ellering.

Bullet Club (El Phantasmo & Chris Bey) (w/ Hikuleo) defeated FinJuice (David Finlay & Juice Robinson) to earn a Tag Team title shot at Turning Point

Both teams have been chasing the titles, held by The Good Brothers. Last week, FinJuice came close to earning that fair shot they have been asking for, only for the Bullet Club to come out and interrupt the match. Scott D’Amore instead signed this match to crown the number one contenders.

This was similar to the match these teams have had in the past months. FinJuice started strong against Bey, but when Robinson was in there, Hikuleo and ELP started to distract him and eventually, they cut him off from his corner.

Bullet Club worked over Robinson for a couple of minutes. This was mostly ELP doing some of his shenanigans, but it wasn’t long before Finlay got the hot tag. FinJuice isolated Bey for their offense, eventually going for the Doomsday Device. After a distraction from ELP and Hikuleo, Finlay instead went to take them out, leaving Robinson in the ring to get reversed by Bey, superkicked by ELP and pinned.

After the match, Anderson and Gallows came out and brawled with Bullet Club, ending with Hikuleo taking out Gallows as Bullet Club controlled the ring.

— Gia Miller interviewed D’Amore about the three-way main event to find the new top contender for the World title. She asked why Josh Alexander wasn’t added to the match. Before D’Amore could answer, he was confronted by Alexander about it. D’Amore told Alexander that he wasn’t getting a shot until he fixed his focus issues. So instead, he was going to book Alexander vs. Minoru Suzuki so he could deal with him. Later on, he can continue his chase for the World title.

— We got a recap of last week’s BTI where Sam Beale pinned Brian Myers. Afterward, we got a new installment of Myers’ lessons where he berated VSK and Zicky Dice for losing last week. It was mostly a comedy skit with Dice getting slapped every time he or VSK talked. Myers ended the segment challenging Beale to a one-on-one match.

Minoru Suzuki defeated Kaleb with a K

There is no story to this match as it was just a quick squash to showcase Suzuki. Kaleb ran away from Suzuki at first and then tried to attack, but Suzuki easily blocked him and turned it into a submission. Suzuki won with the GSP.  During the match, we saw Alexander watching from the back.

— Miller interviewed Moose about his potential challengers at Turning Point. Moose ran down the names, but in the end, he wasn’t concerned since he was the most dangerous man in all of professional wrestling.

Decay (Havok & Rosemary) defeated Undead Bridesmaids (Kimber Lee & Brandi Lauren)

This match came from Knockouts Tag Team Champions The IInspiration after they convinced the Bridesmaids to take on Decay prior to the IInspiration’s title defense at Turning Point against the former champions in Decay.

The match started with Decay taking out both Bridesmaids, but at that point, both Cassie Lee and Jesse McKay came out to interrupt and set themselves up on the ramp to watch the match.

With the distraction, the Bridesmaids were able to jump Decay and take control, separating Rosemary from her corner. The Bridesmaids showed some tag team work with a couple of double team combos, but Rosemary was still able to make a comeback against Lauren and tag in Havok. Decay got the win with the backbreaker and spear combo on Lauren.

After the match, The IInspiration came down to the ring, but avoided crossing paths with Decay.

— Heath and Rhino cut a promo about Heath’s rough year being out with an injury. Heath said that the tension between them and Violent By Design wasn’t over. Rhino said he wanted revenge against Eric Young, so they challenged VBD. Great promo by Rhino.

— We got footage of last week where Madison Rayne and Kaleb complained about losing to Mickie James. D’Amore approached them and booked Rayne vs. Mercedes Martinez.

Mercedes Martinez defeated Madison Rayne

Martinez is the current number one contender to the Knockouts Championship, held by Mickie James.

The match wasn’t that good. Martinez started with a delayed vertical suplex for a near fall. She tried to follow with a crucifix bomb, but Rayne escaped, hit a code breaker, and cut off Martinez for a bit with a cravat and some knees.

Martinez came back with a tiger driver for another near fall, followed with some strikes and a short DDT. Rayne got a near fall with an enzuigiri and a blockbuster, but couldn’t keep her down. Mercedes finally got the win with a jumping knee and a schoolgirl pin.

After the match, Rayne jumped Martinez and dropped her with a ripcord cutter. Afterwards, she attacked Martinez with a chair until James came out for the save. That was a lot of offense for Rayne against the number one contender. After Rayne left, Martinez no-sold the attack and dropped James with her driver.

— Steve Maclin cut a promo talking about losing in the last few weeks, but that he is still unpinned and unsubmitted. He said he deserved to be in the X-Division title match at Turning Point. Trey Miguel confronted him and told him if he wanted to get pinned, all he needed was to ask. Miguel asked D’Amore to make it a triple threat at Turning Point. D’Amore instead told Maclin that if he can defeat Laredo Kid next week, he gets added to the match.

— Beale addressed Brian Myers and accepted his challenge for next week. He talked about learning so much from him and knowing him well after having followed Myers for months. He told Willie Mack and Rich Swann to stay in the back, because he needed to take on Myers by himself.

Rohit Raju (w/ Raj Singh) defeated Rocky Romero

We saw footage from last week where Raju confronted Romero about jumping in line and getting a shot at the X-Division title, so he challenged Romero to a match.

It started with both men showing off and wrestling with some mirror spots into the standoff. It wasn’t long before Romero gained the advantage with his sneaky style and some lucha ranas.

The match continued back and forth except Raju managed to hurt Romero’s back and arm and thus gained more and more control as they went on. Singh also helped Raju every time that Raju could distract the referee.

Romero made a comeback with the forever lariats. Romero hit a double footstomp on Raju for a two count, followed with a backslide, but Raju blocked. Romero hit a satellite DDT for yet another near fall. Raju got a near fall himself with a flatliner, but as he tried to capitalize, Romero locked in an armbar, prompting Singh to distract the referee. Romero took out Singh and hit a sliced bread on Raju, but he still couldn’t get the win.

The finish finally saw Raju block a tornado DDT, hit a drive-by kick, and get the win in a really good match.

— Hernandez told Johnny Swinger that he asked D’Amore for a match against The Demon and Decay for next week. John E. Bravo brought in Fallah Bahh to be the third man for the team.

— Chelsea Green cut a promo about becoming the new number one contender to the Digital Media title, so D’Amore booked Green vs. Jake Something vs. Matthew Rehwoldt vs. Alisha Edwards. The winner gets a shot at Digital Media Champion Jordynne Grace.

— Also next week, Knockouts Tag Team Champions The Iinspiration vs. Undead Bridesmaids in non-title action; Laredo Kid vs. Steve Maclin for a spot at the Turning Point X-Division title match; the return of Deonna Purrazzo and in the main event, Suzuki vs. Alexander.

Eddie Edwards defeated W. Morrissey and Matt Cardona to earn an Impact World title match

After last week’s main event, D’Amore booked this match where the winner gets a shot at Moose in the Turning Point main event. As previously explained in the show, D’Amore decided to not give Alexander the spot until he fixed his focus issues.

With Morrissey being the biggest man, both Edwards and Cardona went after him first, but he easily took them out with boots. He tossed Edwards to the floor and worked on Cardona in the ring. Edwards recovered and he and Cardona managed to take down Morrissey for a bit, but Morrissey quickly recovered and took them down with a double chokeslam.

Morrissey maintained control, keeping Edwards out of the ring and working on Cardona. Later down, Edwards returned when Cardona had been taken out to the floor and managed to get some offense in, but it wasn’t long before Morrissey stopped him with a fallaway slam.

Edwards made a comeback and traded strikes with Morrissey, but he couldn’t keep up. Cardona and Edwards once again teamed up and took Morrissey down with a code breaker and blue thunder bomb combo, but neither man could capitalize.

Morrissey dropped them with a double suplex, followed by a tower of doom spot where Cardona got a near fall over Morrissey. Cardona kicked out of a black hole slam from Morrissey. Finally, Edwards and Cardona finally got rid of Morrissey, sending him to the floor and for the first time tonight, Cardona and Edwards exchanged strikes. It wasn’t long before they dove on Morrissey.

Back in the ring, Cardona missed an avalanche radio silence and while Morrissey lay on the floor, Edwards hit a BKP to Cardona for the win. This was a great showing for Morrissey, regardless of the winner as he was clearly the best man in the match.

It will be Moose vs. Eddie Edwards for the Impact World title at Turning Point.

Impact Wrestling live results: Minoru Suzuki’s in-ring debut

After making his presence felt by attacking Josh Alexander last week, Minoru Suzuki will make his in-ring debut for Impact Wrestling Thursday, teaming with Impact World Champion Moose and W. Morrissey against Alexander, Matt Cardona and Eddie Edwards.

This week will also feature a Knockouts Championship match as Mickie James will make her first title defense against Madison Rayne after the “Queen Bee” challenged her to a match last week. James defeated Deonna Purrazzo for the title at last month’s Bound for Glory.

The next number one contender for the X-Division title will be decided in a four-way bout between Laredo Kid, Steve Maclin, Black Taurus and former champion Rohit Raju.

After defeating Ace Austin last week, Chris Sabin will seek revenge against the man who eliminated him from the Call Your Shot gauntlet match in Madman Fulton.

Impact Tag Team Champions The Good Brothers will face FinJuice in a non-title match. The two teams have been feuding off and on for months over the titles.

The BTI pre-show match will see Sam Beale team up with Willie Mack and Rich Swann to face The Learning Tree (Brian Myers, Zicky Dice and VSK).

Rich Swann, Willie Mack, & Sam Beale defeated The Learning Tree (Brian Myers, VSK, & Zicky Dice) on BTI

Laredo Kid defeated Steve Maclin, Black Taurus (w/ Crazzy Steve) and Rohit Raju (w/ Raj Singh) in an X-Division no. 1 contender’s match

Maclin and Taurus started by taking out Raju and Kid and paired up with each other for a couple of hoss and lucha spots. Maclin ended up on the floor as everyone took turns to hit dives on the rest of the wrestlers.

Back in the ring, Kid and Raju paired up for some good back and forth, but neither was able to gain control before Maclin and Taurus came back into the mix, with the latter controlling the ring.

Laredo Kid and Taurus paired up for some great lucha, Kid hit an over the top rope rana on Taurus, who was on the floor, followed by a plancha.

Raju came back and got some near falls on Kid with a flapjack and an O’Connor roll, but Kid was able to come back with a driver for the win. Good opener, but I would have liked more time.

After the match, X-Division champion Trey Miguel came out and congratulated Laredo Kid, but Maclin attacked them both, went for Mayhem for All on Miguel, but Miguel countered, and along with Kid, took out Maclin.

— Gia Miller interviewed Madison Rayne about her chance to win the Knockouts title for a sixth time. Rayne said that Mickie James wasn’t a new challenge and has wrestled her many times before. Rayne brought up that when she goes for the title, she usually walks out with the title.

— Miller interviewed Ace Austin about his ongoing feud with Chris Sabin and how Madman Fulton will destroy him later tonight.

Eric Young (with Violent By Design) defeated Jai Vidal

Before the match, Violent By Design came out. Young talked about not having wrestled for months and how he’s ready to get his hands dirty again. He said he will build a mountain out of sacrifices he takes out in the ring. Local wrestler Vidal came out. Young asked a couple of questions about who he was before starting the match.

This was a squash. Young got some offense in before hitting the piledriver and pinning Vidal.

— Knockouts Tag Team Champions The IInspiration arrived for their interview on Locker Room Talk, but since Rayne was preparing for her match tonight, she wasn’t in the room. Suddenly, Rosemary and Havok started to haunt Lee and McKay. While the idea was bad, The IInspiration’s performance is worth money.

Miller asked The IInspiration about what happened. They talked about Decay and seeing ghosts. Miller also told them to avoid Su Yung’s Undead Bridesmaids. It seemed like The IInspiration will try to trick the Undead Bridesmaids to go after Decay.

FinJuice (Juice Robinson & David Finlay) vs. Impact Tag Team Champions The Good Brothers (Doc Gallows & Karl Anderson) went to a no-contest

FinJuice and The Good Brothers have been feuding for the tag team titles for months, but after failing to capture the titles at Bound For Glory, FinJuice challenged The Good Brothers bringing up that they never lost the titles and thus, have never been directly defeated by Anderson and Gallows.

FinJuice started strong, controlling the ring against Anderson. Finlay worked the arm while Robinson went for strikes, but it wasn’t long before Robinson distracted himself with Gallows on the apron and left himself open for Anderson and Gallows to cut him off.

Gallows and Anderson worked over Robinson, mostly going for the midsection, keeping him away from Finlay, and constant pin attempts.

Eventually, FInlay got the hot tag and ran wild over Anderson, hit a dive on Gallows, and came back to the ring for a near fall on Anderson after a back breaker. Robinson tagged in for the doomsday device, but Anderson blocked it. Robinson took out Anderson, but was taken out by Gallows, who took a plancha from Finlay.

Once everyone was down, Bullet Club ran down and attacked both FinJuice and The Good Brothers. They low blowed everyone and posed with the titles. The referee ruled it a no contest.

— Miller found Johnny Swinger selling his stuff to make money and buy a new casino. Hernandez and John E. Bravo took Swinger to help him with The Demon.

— Backstage, FinJuice complained that every time they are about to defeat The Good Brothers, Bullet Club interferes. Scott D’Amore signed FinJuice vs. Bullet Club in a no. 1 contenders’ match where there will be a winner.

Knockouts Champion Mickie James defeated Madison Rayne (with Kaleb) to retain

James defeated Deonna Purrazzo to capture the Knockouts Championship, but before she could properly celebrate, Rayne issued a challenge for the title in a battle of two of the most condecorated champions in the division.

This started with both women wrestling for wrist control with a series of reversals, eventually won by James, who kept control, even after Rayne came close to cutting her off after a distraction from Kaleb.

Rayne would later on fake being injured, allowing Kaleb to attack James and set her up for Rayne to take control. She locked in a last chancery for a submission tease, but James escaped.

Rayne continued in control for a bit until James made a comeback, striking down Rayne. Kaleb once again tried to distract James, and Rayne did capitalize with a cutter, but James still kicked out at two.

On the floor, Kaleb tried to get revenge for last week’s slap, but James dodged, took out Kaleb tossing him to the steel steps, hit the top rope press and got the pin on Rayne for the win. Ok match.

After the match, Mercedes Martinez, the rightful number 1 contender after winning the Knockouts Knockdown tournament, came out to confront Mickie James. Martinez put over James as one of the best, but she also reminded her that she was coming for the title.

– The IInspiration found the Undead Bridesmaids and proposed they face off against Decay next week on their behalf.

— Miller interviewed Josh Alexander, Eddie Edwards and Matt Cardona about facing off with such a strong team like Moose, Morrissey and Suzuki. Alexander said he is only focused on Moose, but Edwards stopped him and told him to keep his cool and not allow the anger to get to him, Edwards has been there before. Cardona reminded them that it’s not just about Moose, they need to stick together if they want to win.

Chris Sabin defeated Madman Fulton (w/ Ace Austin)

This match comes after Fulton and Austin eliminated Sabin from the Call Your Shot gauntlet, but attacking him from behind. Last week, Austin defeated Sabin in the main event after Fulton interfered, and thus tonight, Sabin gets Fulton.

The match was a speed vs. power match. Sabin got some early offense in using his speed to dodge and attack, but during the commercial, Fulton got his hands on Sabin and cut him off.

Fulton overpowered Sabin and kept control for a while, but after getting some space to pick up speed, Sabin was able to make a comeback and take down Fulton with a dive and an enzuigi for a near fall.

Sabin tried to go for cradle shock, but Fulton easily blocked it and hit a big torture rack into pancake drop for a near fall. Fulton went for the end of days, but Sabin escaped, went for a tornado DDT, but turned it into a small package, and picked up the win.

— Brown and Striker ran down the Turning Point card including Decay vs. The IInspiration for the Knockouts Tag Team titles, Laredo Kid vs. Trey Miguel for the X-Division title and Mercedes Martinez vs. Mickie James for the Knockouts title.

— Next week, it will be the Undead Bridesmaids vs. Decay, Bullet Club vs. FinJuice in a Tag Team title no. 1 contenders’ match. Also, Jordynne Grace defends the Digital Media title against John Skylar.

Impact World Champion Moose, W. Morrissey and Minoru Suzuki defeated Josh Alexander, Matt Cardona and Eddie Edwards

This match was signed last week after Moose got into fights with all three of his opponents. D’Amore told Moose he had to find two partners to take on Alexander, Edwards, and Cardona.

Minoru Suzuki also made his debut last week and went straight for Alexander after the latter had gone after Moose. Alexander’s gripe with Moose has been about attacking him while his family was in the ring, more than Moose taking the title away from him.

Match started with Suzuki and Alexander chain wrestling, but it quickly came down to strikes and Morrissey tagged in. Alexander managed to take him down and tag in Edwards. The pair ups continued with Edwards and Moose where the baby faces cleared the ring.

Things settled with Cardona vs Moose, but after taking down Morrissey and Moose, Cardona fell to Suzuki’s roped armbar and with that, Cardona was cut off from his corner.

Moose, Morrissey, and Suzuki worked over Cardona, focusing on the head. At one point, Edwards got a tag, but the referee failed to see it. Eventually, Cardona caught Morrissey and Moose with desperation and gave the tag to Alexander.

Alexander came in and took out Moose with multiple Germans, took out Morrissey with the help of Edwards, who tagged in and got a near fall with a blue thunder bomb.

Alexander and Suzuki finally came to strikes. The other four men joined to take turns taking each other out, but at the end Suzuki hit the GSP on Alexander after saving Moose from the G4. Morrissey took out Edwards with a huge boot, hit the powerbomb, and picked up the win. Really good match.

Afterwards, the heels posed over the fallen body of Edwards as the show went off the air.

Impact Wrestling live results: Bound for Glory summit

Thursday’s Impact Wrestling will feature a summit between World Champion Christian Cage and his Bound for Glory challenger Josh Alexander.

The two will come face-to-face following last week’s tag team match in which they united to defeat Ace Austin and Madman Fulton.

The tournament for the vacant X-Division Championship will also roll along as El Phantasmo will take on Willie Mack and Rohit Raju in a three-way match with the winner advancing to the three-way finals at Bound for Glory, joining Steve Maclin and Trey Miguel.

A 20-person battle royal with Bound For Glory implications will also take place. The winner will enter the Call Your Shot gauntlet match at number 20 while the last person eliminated will enter number one.

In other action, Rich Swann takes on VSK; Chris Bey battles Chris Sabin and Lady Frost takes on Savannah Evans as part of the aftermath of Knockouts Knockdown.

The BTI pre-show will see Hernandez take on Fallah Bahh.

Fallah Bahh defeated Hernandez (with Johnny Swinger) on BTI

* * * * * * * * * *

Opening video recapped last week’s main event, with Christian Cage and Josh Alexander teaming up against Ace Austin and Madman Fulton, including the challenge done by Christopher Daniels, as he intends to chase the championship.

El Phantasmo (with The Bullet Club) defeated Wilie Mack & Rohit Raju in an X Division Championship match qualifier

The winner of this match advances to Bound For Glory, to face Trey Miguel and Steve Maclin in a 3-way for the vacant X Division Championship.

With Mack being the only babyface in the match, it started with Raju and ELP taking turns to pair up with Mack. ELP resorted to poke Mack’s eyes after he couldn’t contend with Mack’s strength. Mack was taken out for a minute to allow ELP and Raju to wrestle each other, but Mack quickly returned and took out Raju.

ELP got an early near fall after a dive on Raju and a swanton bomb on Mack. Afterwards, both men got their payback with rolling stomps on ELP, but Raju followed with a footstomp on Mack for a near fall.

Mack put both opponents down, hit a couple of running clotheslines and a double Samoan drop and moonsault, but couldn’t get the 3 count on either after taking too much time to capitalize. Mack countered Raju’s superplex attempt and set the frog splash, but ELP cut him off, threw Mack over Raju, and hit a big splash for a near fall. ELP went for the loaded superkick, which Mack blocked and followed with a stunner. When he went for the pin, Chris Bey and Hikuleo distracted the referee and him, so Mack took them out with a dive.

Back in the ring, Raju tried to steal the win, but ELP recovered, hit a low punch on Raju, superkicked Mack, and hit the CRII on Raju for the win.

It’ll be El Phantasmo vs Maclin vs Trey Miguel at Bound For Glory.

– Gia Miller interviewed Ace Austin and Fulton about entering the Call Your Shot Gauntlet tonight. Austin said he wasn’t done with Cage, but since Alexander had jumped in front of the line, he decided to enter the gauntlet to secure himself a win. He said that he and Fulton will be the final two and at Bound For Glory, he can come in at 20, while Fulton gets to destroy 18 other wrestlers one-by-one.

Savannah Evans (with Tasha Steelz) defeated Lady Frost

Evans is coming in with a big victory at Knockouts Knockdown, where she defeated Alisha Edwards, Kimber Lee, and Jordynne Grace in her first ever Monster’s Ball. Frost however, lost at the first round of the Knockouts Knockdown tournament against Rachael Ellering.

The match was close to a squash, Evans dominated Frost from the start with her power advantage. Frost did get some offense with short flurries, but Evans kept cutting her off. Towards the end, she did manage to hurt Evans with a couple of attacks to the midsection and legs, but Evans caught her with a clothesline and her full Nelson slam for the win.

After the match, Deonna Purrazzo came out with Matthew Rehwoldt. Purrazzo came out to recruit Savannah Evans as  Mickie James’ challenge in her Pick Your Poison match. Evans agreed. It’ll be Mickie James vs Savannah Evans in the go home show of Bound For Glory. Given this little set up with Purrazzo, the match with Frost made perfect sense.

– Steve Maclin cut a promo about his background, how he’s not a ‘ribbon chaser’, but he’s a fighter and only wants the title so he gets more challengers coming and he gets to take them out.

– Miller interviewed Gail Kim about the success of Knockouts Knockdown. Kim talked about the Daffney tribute, about signing Masha Slamovich, Mercedes MArtinez winning the tournament, and the news of The Inspiration joining Impact.

Havok and Rosemary approached Kim about how good the idea of bringing the Inspiration and sacrificing them to Decay. Suddenly, Kim got a letter from The Inspiration, where they put themselves over and confirmed that The Inspiration are most definitely coming in as heels.

Rich Swann (with Willie Mack) defeated VSK (with Brian Myers & The Learning Tree)

Swann and Mack have been crossing paths with Myers and his Learning Tree for the last couple of weeks.

Match started and VSK got control quite early, and he didn’t rely on tricks. VSK got a couple of early pins and focused his work on Swann’s head, but it wasn’t long for Swann to punch his way out and take down VSK with a series of kicks.

Swann hit a second rope phoenix splash for the win. Really short match, but VSK had enough offense to really call it a squash, even if it did take about three or four moves for Swann to win.

– Johnny Swinger and John E. Bravo packed up the final things left of Swinger’s Palace. Hernandez left,  Swingerella #1 revealed her feelings for Swinger, but Swinger turned her down like an idiot. The Swingerella #2, finally told us her name was Riley, asked Sabin out, but Sabin had one love, and it was wrestling.

Segment ended with a video of memories of Swinger’s Palace. It’s finally over. I’m a bit nostalgic about it.

– Heath and Scott D’Amore had a meeting about finalizing the contract negotiations that started nearly a year ago. Heath asked to book himself and Rhino against Violent By Design, but understandably, D’Amore didn’t know if he could even convince Rhino for the match. Heath promised that he will talk to Rhino, and if he can’t convince him, he’ll take on VBD by himself at Bound For Glory. D’Amore and Heath signed the contracts.

Chris Sabin (with FinJuice) defeated Chris Bey (with The Bullet Club)

Sabin recently joined FinJuice in their feud against the Bullet Club. Both groups have been feuding for some time, but the numbers have grown after El Phantasmo returned to Impact to back up Bey and Hikuleo.

Match had a great start with both men trading arm drags over and over again, but it wasn’t long before FinJuice and the Bullet Club got into a scuffle outside. Referee Tolle ended up sending everyone to the back.

Back in the ring, Sabin had a short flurry of offense, but Bey managed to cut him off, catching him between the ropes with a couple of kicks, followed by working his back. Sabin had some comeback attempts, but Bey kept him cut off.

Eventually, Sabin was able to soccer kick Bey during a rana attempt and follow it with a rolling fisherman suplex to finally get some momentum. Bey still came back with a failed art of finesse attempt and a jumping kick for near fall. Sabin got a near fall after rolling Bey after dodging his frog splash, but Bey kicked out at two.

Both men exchanged strikes, ending with a jumping enziguri and a cradle shock from Sabin for the win. Really good match.

– Miller interviewed Trey Miguel about facing ELP and Maclin at Bound For Glory. Miguel was talking about defeating Laredo Kid and Alex Zayne, but the latter interrupted him and told Miguel that Miguel only won because Zayne had done the work to take down Kid. Miguel challenged Zayne to a match to make sure there were no doubts that he was better than Zayne. This was pretty good.

– We got a promo from The Good Brothers, talking about them doing everything together and how they were spending their vacation together. They talked about Impact rejecting their booking proposal of a Bullet Club vs FinJuice number one contendership match, so they urged Impact to give them their Bound For Glory match before they were forced to cut off their vacation time and personally demand their match.

W. Morrissey won the battle royale to earn the number 20 spot in the Call Your Shot Gauntlet.

The winner of this match will enter the Call Your Shot gauntlet at number 20, while the runner up will have the number one spot of the match. While everyone in the gauntlet was eligible, there were a couple of absences like Rich Swann, who had already wrestled earlier in the night. The match was open to both men and women, with everyone starting in the ring.

Alisha Edwards was the first eliminated at the hands of Moose, followed by Swinger who jumped the ropes after Kimber Lee and Brandi Lauren scared him away.

Petey Williams was eliminated by Myers, but he was eliminated by Rachael Ellering after Myers had been saved by his Learning Tree once.

Laredo Kid was eliminated by Hernandez, followed by Taurus and Hernandez who eliminated themselves with a clothesline. Rehwoldt was eliminated by Matt Cardona. Raj Singh eliminated Ellering, only to get eliminated by Jake Something.

Fallah Bahh got eliminated during the commercial break.

Fulton and Austin eliminated Jake Something. Brandi Lauren and Kimber Lee tried to gang up on Ace Austin, but Fulton made the save and eliminated them, they did manage to poison mist him before being tossed out. Fulton also eliminated Matt Cardona with a pounce.

Moose and Morrissey went after Fulton, who managed to fight them off for a bit. Austin helped Fulton and almost eliminated Moose, but eventually, after Fulton came close to taking out both Moose and Morrissey, Fulton got eliminated while Sabin had Austin busy to help him.

Final four were Moose, Morrissey, Moose, and Sabin. Initially, all the heels ganged up on Sabin, but it wasn’t long before Morrissey and Moose also attacked Austin and eliminated him with dominance.

Morrissey and Moose took some turns to punish Sabin instead of eliminating him, but they gave Sabin enough space to trick Moose into the apron and eliminated him with a dropkick to the feet.

Sabin managed to take down Morrissey, but didn’t have the power to push him over the ropes. Morrissey simply cut off Sabin and tossed him over the ropes.

Morrissey will enter number 20 to the Call Your Shot Gauntlet, while Chris Sabin will have to enter at the number one spot.

– Next week, we’re getting Alex Zayne vs Trey Miguel, Mickie James vs Savannah Evans, and FinJuice vs Bullet Club for a shot at the Good Brothers.

– We got a vignette for Minoru Suzuki, coming soon to Impact.

– Josh Matthews moderated the summit between Christian Cage and Josh Alexander, prior to their title match at Bound For Glory.

First, Cage talked about his return to wrestling, how his return was a year long preparation before coming back. He wasn’t trying to just get his greatest hits in, he wanted to come back and become the best in the business.

Alexander talked about his road to this match, how being a tag team champion and the X Division champion and eventually wrestling Sabin, proved to himself that he needed to go for the big one. He had no regrets even if he lost to Cage.

Cage talked about how he and Alexander were not that similar once they met in the ring, to which Alexander considered they were more similar in how he had followed Cage’s career as he built his own.

Cage talked about the differences between being a champion now and his past reigns. He knew what it took to be on top, but Alexander wasn’t ready, he couldn’t control his emotions. Cage agreed he had followed Alexander’s career, and he knew he wasn’t ready to be on top.

They showed a video from an AEW press conference where Cage denied knowing who Alexander even was, at which point, Alexander told Cage he didn’t respect him and walked out.

Cage pointed out Alexander’s control of his emotions as the show ended.

Impact Wrestling live results: Christian & Josh Alexander team up

Impact World Champion Christian Cage is set to team up with his Bound For Glory challenger Josh Alexander against Ace Austin and Madman Fulton on Thursday’s Impact Wrestling.

This match comes after Alexander got involved in Fulton’s match last week with Christopher Daniels, causing Austin to vent his frustrations to Impact VP Scott D’Amore.

The war between the Bullet Club and FinJuice rages on as El Phantasmo teams with stablemates Hikuleo and Chris Bey to face off against David Finlay, Juice Robinson and Chris Sabin in a six-man tag team match. Sabin joined the fight against the Bullet Club last week, citing that he loves to beat up the group.

As Saturday’s Knockouts Knockdown special approaches, Mercedes Martinez will make her in-ring debut for the promotion when she teams with Tasha Steelz and Savannah Evans to take on Kimber Lee, Brandi Lauren and Lady Frost in a preview for Saturday.

Petey Williams, Black Taurus and Steve Maclin clash in another three-way first round matchup in the X-Division Championship tournament with the winner advancing to Bound for Glory.

Also, Heath will address the Impact faithful following his return last week.

The BTI pre-show will feature Laredo Kid vs. Matthew Rehwoldt.

Laredo Kid defeated Matthew Rehwoldt on BTI

* * * * * * * * * *

Opening video recapped last week’s Eddie Edwards vs W. Morrissey main event street fight that ended with Moose and Morrissey taking out Edwards. Also, Christopher Daniels’ first match on Impact in years.

Bullet Club (El Phantasmo, Chris Bey, & Hikuleo) defeated FinJuice (Juice Robinson & David Finlay) & Chris Sabin

FinJuice and the Bullet Club have been feuding for months now, ever since FinJuice returned, chasing after Jay White. As of late, El Phantasmo made his return to Impact, to reinforce Hikuleo and Bey, so in return, FinJuice recruited Chris Sabin to even the odds. Moreover, The Good Brothers proposed that whoever won this match, could be nominated as #1 contenders for the Impact tag team championships.

Match started with FinJuice and Sabin controlling the action, taking turns to punish ELP, but after some minutes, Robinson was a bit too overconfident trying to take on both ELP and Bey, but he ended up getting cut off from his corner. Hikuleo tagged in, but Robinson was too quick for him and managed to tag out and bring in Finlay.

Hikuleo came close to also cutting off Finlay, but he managed to take on all three men and tag in Sabin, who also had a short flurry of offense. With control of the ring, FinJuice and Sabin all hit dives on their opponents.

Last couple of minutes saw both teams go all tornado tag and take turns hitting signature moves and getting near falls, but at the end, it came down to Sabin and Bey, with the former setting up the cradle shock, but Hikuleo distracted the referee, allowing ELP to low blow Sabin, and the art of finesse from Bey for the win. Really good opener.

We may finally get an Elite vs Bullet Club match at Bound For Glory.

– Gia Miller interviewed Josh Alexander about teaming with Christian Cage. Alexander said that any other day, teaming with Cage would be an honor, but tonight, it’s a front row seat to show Cage what he will have to deal with at Bound For Glory.

– D’lo Brown and Josh Matthews ran down some of the matches scheduled for tonight and for Saturday’s Knockout Knockdown show.

– Heath came down to the ring after making his return last week, when he confronted Violent By Design. Heath brought up that he was sidelined for a whole year and for that whole year, Rhino disappeared from his side, but it wasn’t his fault, he knew it was all because of Eric Young’s involvement. Heath called out Rhino to talk, but instead he got Violent By Design.

Young told Heath that he had changed Rhino and got rid of the old Rhino that Heath knew. EY said he wasn’t Rhino in reaction to the fan’s chants, because Rhino belonged to him and he talked for Rhino. He told Heath to leave Impact because he had no more business there.

Heath rejected EY’s order and instead fought back at VBD’s threats. Heath was quickly taken down by Doering and kept down by Deaner. EY broke their flag pole over Heath’s back, but Rhino never came out for the save.

– Miller interviewed Willie Mack about his chances of qualifying to the Bound For Glory X Division match. While he talked, he was interrupted by Brian Myers’ Learning Tree, ending with Swann and Mack challenging them to match. Myers berated them for thinking they had a chance at defeating Swann and Mack after they had already defeated Myers and VSK last week.

Mercedes Martinez, Tasha Steelz, & Savannah Evans defeated Lady Frost, Brandi Lauren, & Kimber Lee

This is the first match we’ve officially seen of Lauren and Lee after becoming Su Yung’s Undead soldiers. This is also Mercedes Martinez debut for Impact. All these women will be part of Knockout’s Knockdown Impact+ special.

Match interestingly enough, had Lee and Lauren work as babyfaces, with the latter being the babyface in peril for some minutes. The story of the match however, was all about Tasha Steelz and Martinez not working together, at one point even antagonizing each other, leading up to the finish that saw Steelz steal the pin from Martinez.

Both Martinez and Steelz are part of the Knockouts Knockdown tournament, with the potential of facing each other until the finals.

After the match, we saw Alisha Edwards attack Kimber Lee and Brandi Lauren after they had ‘killed’ one of Swinger’s valets, who were supposedly Alisha’s friends. Edwards challenged Kimber Lee, but instead Gail Kim added her to the Knockouts Knockout Monster’s Ball against Kimber Lee, Jordynne Grace, and Savannah Evans. The match will honor the memory of Daffney. Good little angle to set up the match, but the heat felt forced, Alisha is retaliating almost a month after the incident.

– We got a new installment of “All About Me” with Tenille Dashwood, Madison Rayne, and Kaleb. They talked about winning the titles at Knockouts Knockdown and their new team called The Collab.

Their special guest interviewers were Decay, but it became a joke of Dashwood swearing a lot. Rosemary asked Dashwood and Rayne if they felt lucky for Saturday, but Dashwood tried to cancel the interview. Rosemary threatened to not over take over their show set, but for their demons to possess their bodies.

– Moose and Morrissey cut a promo about sending Edwards and Callihan to the hospital. They talked about having an alliance and how they’re entering the Call Your Shot Gauntlet and dominate as an alliance until it comes down to them. They’re such a great unit.

Steve Maclin defeated Petey Williams & Black Taurus in an X Division Championship match qualifier

The winner of this match advances to the Bound For Glory X Division 3-way match, against the already qualified Trey Miguel.

Match started with Taurus and Williams wrestling after Maclin had been taken out, Williams got most of the offense, the sequence ended with a tornillo by Taurus on Maclin and a baseball slide from Williams on Taurus.

Back in the ring, all three men took more turns to pair up together and trade momentum. Maclin first took out Williams, then he got taken out by Taurus, then Williams came back and took out both, when he started to tease the destroyer.

All three men exchanged strikes in the middle of the ring with Taurus getting a near fall after a crucifix bomb. Taurus blocked the destroyer and went for a superplex, but was cut off by Maclin, who took him out, hit the corner spear on Williams. Finish finally saw Williams hit the destroyer on Taurus, only for Maclin to run in and hit mayhem for all on Williams for the win.

Steve Maclin once again steals the win from William and advances to Bound For Glory.

– Gia Miller interviewed Christian Cage about teaming with Josh Alexander. He pretty much said the same thing as Alexander, but having the best seat in the room to realize that Alexander is not on Cage’s level.

Afterwards, Christopher Daniels confronted Cage and told him he is there to win the title he never won.

– Over at Swinger’s Palace, they’re all packed up after being shut down by Scott D’Amore last week. Fallah Bahh walked to tell them they got what they deserved.

Rich Swann & Willie Mack defeated The Learning Tree (Manny Lemons & Zicky Dice)

This was a squash. Swann and Mack first worked over Dice, and when Dice ran away, Lemons came in to get punished by Swann and Mack. Swann pinned Lemons after an elevated neckbreaker.

After the match, Myers, VSK, and Sam Beale all ran down and jumped Mack and Swann. This angle felt like Swann and Mack may not go on separate paths for Bound For Glory after all.

– Scott D’Amore and Gail Kim met with Deonna Purrazzo about her attack on Mickie James last week in James’ house. James rushed into the office and tried to jump Purrazzo, but D’Amore, Kim, and Rehwoldt managed to separate them. D’Amore implemented a no-touch clause, where if James attacks Purrazzo, she loses her title shot, if Purrazzo attacks James, she will be stripped of the title.

Kim decided to book a Pick Your Poison set of matches, Purrazzo must defend her title at Knockouts Knockdown against James’ pick first.

Impact World Champion Christian Cage & Josh Alexander defeated Ace Austin & Madman Fulton

Cage and Alexander are scheduled to wrestle for the Impact World title at Bound For Glory after Alexander relinquished the X Division title under Option C rules and challenged Cage. Yet, ever since before Victory Road, Cage has feuded with Ace Austin when he was the #1 contender. This match came up after Austin and Fulton decided to go after both Alexander and Cage.

Match started with Fulton and Cage, with both men trading control a couple of times, Fulton at one point even took down both Cage and Alexander at the same time. Fulton cut off Alexander when he tagged in.

Austin and Fulton kept Alexander at bay for a good couple of minutes before Alexander broke away from Austin to tag out. Cage came in with the hot tag on Austin, but he was also eventually cut off when he distracted himself with Fulton on the apron, allowing Austin to kick him down and tag in Fulton to finalize the isolation.

Cage was the babyface in peril until he got the opening to take down Austin with a desperation spear. Alexander took on Fulton and managed to get him up for a blue thunder bomb and a series of Germans, but Fulton eventually pushed Alexander back to his corner. Fulton went to chokeslam Alexander, but Cage saved the match, took out Fulton outside the ring, leaving the ring for Alexander to lock in the ankle lock on Austin. Cage blind tagged himself and hit the killswitch on Austin after Alexander had hit chaos theory. Good main event.

Cage and Alexander never showed dissension until the very last spot. Both men exchanged some words after the match, but left it at words.

Impact Wrestling live results: The fallout from Victory Road

Thursday’s edition of Impact Wrestling will see the fallout from Victory Road, kicking off with now-former X-Division Champion Josh Alexander.

After defending the title against Chris Sabin, Alexander walked out following Christian Cage’s World title defense over Ace Austin and invoked “option C” which means he relinquishes his title in exchange for a World title shot. That match will happen at Bound for Glory.

Mickie James will also be on the show after she and Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo got in a brawl on last Thursday’s Impact where James left the champion laying.

Only two matches were announced as Hikuleo will face David Finlay as the Bullet Club vs. FinJuice feud continues while Rohit Raju takes on Chelsea Green in an intergender match as Raju’s feud with Green and Matt Cardona also continues.

The BTI pre-show match will see John Skyler vs. Laredo Kid in the finale of their recent best-of-three series.

* * * * * * * * * *

Laredo Kid defeated John Skylar on BTI

Matthew Rehwoldt was shown watching the match in the back.

* * * * * * * * * *

Opening video was a recap of Victory Road’s Josh Alexander vs Chris Sabin match, which saw the former take the win, and later on come out to challenge Christian Cage to a world title match at Bound For Glory, as he invoked Option C.

– Show opened with Scott D’Amore in the ring announcing that Josh Alexander had indeed called for Option C, and thus, he invited Alexander out to the ring to officially relinquish the title.

Alexander came out. D’Amore explained that if he relinquishes the title, Alexander must understand that win or lose at BFG, he will not continue as X Division champion after tonight.

Alexander said that he believes that he can be the face of the company, but he can only do it as the World Champion. Before he could continue, Christian Cage came out to the ring.

Cage told Alexander that unlike him who almost lost his career, he did lose his for several years and he clawed himself back to become the champion. Cage tried to mess with Alexander’s head saying that if he gives up the X title, he will end with nothing after BFG.

Alexander had no second thoughts and turned in the title to D’Amore. Cage came off a bit heelish with everyone behind Alexander.

Ace Austin suddenly decided to join the party. Austin said that he was close to winning the title at Victory Road, and he was not quietly going to stop chasing the title. Austin also messed with Alexander, saying he shouldn’t relinquish the title. A short brawl broke out with Austin and Fulton laying out Cage and Alexander.

– Gia Miller interviewed Rich Swann and Willie Mack about an announcement they had. Swann and Mack said that since the X Division title is vacant, Mack wants a shot at the title, while Swann wanted to enter the Call Your Shot gauntlet match at BFG.

Brian Myers and his group of students walked up and announced that he is also entering the Call Your Shot gauntlet. I guess the Good Brothers feud indeed ended on Saturday. Rich Swann challenged Myers and one of his students to a tag match. Beale and Dice discussed who it should be.

– Backstage, a doctor tried to evaluate Cage’s eye, which had been injured by Austin in the opening brawl. Alexander asked D’Amore to sign a match between them against Austin and Fulton, but since the doctor wouldn’t allow Cage to wrestle until he was clear, D’Amore booked Alexander vs Austin for later tonight.

David Finlay (with Juice Robinson) defeated Hikuleo (with Chris Bey)

Chris Bey and Hikuleo have been feuding with FinJuice ever since Jay White came to the company. They defeated FinJuice at Victory Road, where they re-injured Robinson’s leg, and thus tonight, David Finlay is out for revenge.

This was a power vs speed match. Finlay got a lot of offense in as long as he could keep some distance from Hikuleo, but every time Hikuleo got his hands on Finlay, he hurt him and slowed him down. As Finlay started to gain some momentum, Hikuleo pulled on the referee to distract Finlay and cut him off.

HIkuleo worked over Finlay for a good amount of time, at one point he even had him down with a headlock, but again, it was a matter for Finlay to get some space to start using his speed to dodge around Hikuleo and drop him with a neck breaker.

Finlay made a comeback with a crossbody for a near fall, followed with a sleeper, but Hikuleo tossed Finlay off and took him out with a big clothesline. Hikuleo went for the chokeslam, but Finlay turned it into a stunner, tripped him against the ropes, and won with a roll up.

After the match, Hikuleo attacked Finlay. Robinson and Bey got involved. FinJuice ended up outsmarting the Bullet Club and were ready to win the brawl with a doomsday device, but out came El Phantasmo for the aid, and between the three, finished off FinJuice with the loaded superkick.

– We got a promo from Violent By Design on Rhino. EY told Rhino that the attack from last week can be either an exodus or a passage for him, he understands violence and it falls on him whether he wants to apologize and move forward and be the War Machine, or not. He gave Rhino an ultimatum to give them an answer.

– Miller interviewed Cardona and Green about her match with Rohit Raju tonight. He said that at Victory Road, he did all he wanted to do, beat up both Raju and Shera, so he was out, but Green still wasn’t done until tonight, when she gets her hands on Raju.

– We had a video with Kimber Lee and Brandi Lauren giving Su Ynug some souls they had collected for her. It was just a belt, I don’t know if belts can hold souls.

Rohit Raju defeated Chelsea Green (with Matt Cardona)

As explained in the previous promo, Green and Cardona have been feuding with Raju and Shera for a while, but after Victory Road, Cardona is done with them. Green however, still feels she is owed revenge.

Match saw Raju play around with his size advantage to get the better of Green early on, until he got too cocky and Green got some offense on him. Raju regained control and once again started playing around overpowering Green, breaking his own pins, and once again getting too cocky for his own good.

This time around, Green made a comeback and got a couple of near falls. Raju and Green traded near falls, ending with Cardona getting involved to break a pin where Raju had his hands on the ropes. During the commotion, Raj Singh made his return  and attacked Cardona, distracting Green and allowing Raju to roll her up for the win. This wasn’t that good.

– Eddie Edwards cut a promo about not learning that Alisha shouldn’t have come out with him at Victory Road, he vowed that Morrissey would pay. Callihan approached him and instead of calling him out for being left alone last week, he told Edwards that it was time they did something about it and went out to find Moose and Morrissey.

They found Moose first, who initially had the better of Edwards, but between Callihan and Edwards, they tortured him until he gave out Morrissey’s location. They are the babyfaces?

Rich Swann & Willie Mack defeated Brian Myers & VSK (with The Learning Tree)

Prior to the match, Brian Myers found someone outside of the Learning Tree, since he thought that his current crop was a bit too green, and so instead, he called out VSK.

Swann and VSK started with a good fast paced sequence of reversals, with Swann and Mack getting the better of VSK.

Myers tagged in against Mack and after Mack got a couple of takedowns, Zicky Dice distracted Mack, allowing Myers to cut him off. Myers and VSK worked on Mack for some minutes until Mack caught Myers with a pop-up forearm.

Swann and VSK came in, with the former getting a two count with a standing frog splash. VSK came back with an elevated DDT for a two count himself. Finish saw Swann take out a couple of the Learning Tree, but when Beale tried to push Swann off the top turnbuckle, he ended up tossing him into VSK, who got rolled up by Swann for the win. Not great, but it was short.

– Over at Swinger’s Palace, Swinger complained about the news that they’re headed to Las Vegas, where his casino won’t be able to compete. They decided to write a letter to D’Amore to request they don’t go to Las Vegas. Swinger dictated the letter and it was something, he invited D’Amore to the palace and signed it as J.J. Dillon.

– Good Brothers celebrated their win, saying they were on vacation. They celebrated being the most dominant tag team on Impact and how they had defeated everyone that had challenged them, from Impact to AEW.  This was followed by a video package of the Good Brother’s defeating all those teams.

– Mickie James came out to the ring. She said she was glad to have returned at Slammiversary, with the intention of showcasing and building women’s wrestling. She brought up that Deonna Purrazzo’s actions at NWA Empower were disrespectful, but then again, she had returned it in kind. James called out Purrazzo.

James called Purrazzo entitled and challenged her to a match at Bound For Glory for the Knockouts Championship. Purrazzo brought up that she accepted James’ request for her to wrestle Melina Perez, but she doesn’t owe her anything more. Purrazzo said wrestling is what everyone wants, but she doesn’t get anything from wrestling James, she didn’t even idolize James when coming up.

Purrazzo told James that here on Impact, she needs to earn that title shot. Both women started to brawl until security came out for the pull apart. D’Amore came out and told James that wrestlers don’t get to book matches, but he also thinks that James does deserve a title shot, so he booked the match for Bound For Glory. Wrestlers booking matches is bad, but nepotism is ok.

– As D’Amore walked back to the office, he encountered Eddie Edwards and Morrissey about to brawl, so he stopped it and booked a street fight for next week instead.

– Miller interviewed Gail Kim about organizing Knockouts Knockdown when The Influence approached her and brought up that they should be challenging for the Knockouts tag team titles, but Kim told them that they would have to win a #1 contendership match against Jordynne Grace and Rachael Ellering.

Also next week, we start a tournament to crown a new X Division champion at Bound For Glory, starting with Laredo Kid vs Trey Miguel vs Alex Zayne.

Josh Alexander defeated Ace Austin (with Madman Fulton)

Alexander dominated this match from the get go, even with some distractions, he stayed focused, even when Fulton tripped him up and Austin got a cheap shot, Alexander was able to block him and maintain control of the match.

Austin kept getting cheap shots here and there and they did start to pile up, but Alexander kept control, getting near falls over and over, dropping Austin with delayed vertical suplexes and locking in the ankle lock when the opportunity presented itself.

It was until Alexander distracted himself with Fulton for a minute, that Austin had enough time to recover and get some space to use his speed to cut off Alexander. Austin went straight for the head and kept that target throughout the heat segment, tossing him to Fulton here and there for extra work.

Alexander made a comeback and while Austin still managed to counter most of his offense, Alexander finally dropped Austin with a German to keep him down. Alexander caught Austin with a running boot before trying for the C4, but Austin blocked. Alexander and Austin traded some counters and near falls, ending with Alexander hitting the diving crossbody through the ropes, only to get a big spinning kick by Austin.

Austin finally went for the Fold, but Alexander countered into the powerbomb into the knee and the C4 spike for the win. Really good main event.

After the match, Fulton attacked Alexander, joined by Austin until Cage ran down for the save. Cage and Alexander cleared the ring, but the latter wasn’t happy that Cage had gotten involved, and with the distraction, Austin and Fulton attacked them again, but the one to come out to confront them was Christopher Daniels! Daniels took down both Austin and teased hitting the angel’s wings on Fulton, before Austin and Fulton ran off.

Impact Wrestling live results: Swann vs. Anderson bunkhouse brawl

The ongoing feud between Tag Team Champions The Good Brothers and Rich Swann & Willie Mack continues Thursday as Swann takes on Karl Anderson in a bunkhouse brawl on Impact Wrestling.

Swann will be looking to gain revenge as Doc Gallows and Anderson injured Mack by putting him through a table in a recent non-title encounter Swann and Mack won. They are still in hot pursuit of a Tag Team title rematch.

This week’s show will also see Moose take on Eddie Edwards after Moose helped W. Morrissey beat Edwards down last week.

Other matches include Chris Bey vs. David Finlay in both a rematch and continuation of Bey and Jay White’s recent feud with Finlay and Juice Robinson; Rosemary, one half of the Knockouts Tag Team Champions, against old Fire N’ Flava rival Tasha Steelz; and the undefeated Steve Maclin vs. Petey Williams.

The BTI pre-show will see Laredo Kid return to take on the surging John Skyler.

Laredo Kid defeated John Skylar on BTI

* * * * * * * * * *

Tonight’s opening video covered the ongoing feud between the Good Brothers and Rich Swann and Willie Mack, setting up the Swann and Anderson Bunkhouse brawl. Also, last week’s main event with Ace Austin defeating Tommy Dreamer.

Rosemary (with Havok) defeated Tasha Steelz (with Savannah Evans)

Last week, Steelz and Evans jumped Rosemary and Havok while Decay made their entrance to face off with Fallah Bahh and No Way. Steelz and Evans have been chasing the Knockouts tag titles since their turn on Kiera Hogan.

Rosemary started the match on top, controlling the pace and easily getting Steelz on the upside down, but Steelz turned things around when Rosemary decided to go for a top rope senton, which gave Steelz the time to recover and anticipate her.

Steelz’ control only lasted for some minutes before Rosemary made a comeback, but Rosemary was too hurt and Steelz kept doding most of Rosemary’s offense, even a spear, but as they kept going, Rosemary managed to land the second attempt of the spear and get the win. Weak match, nothing really happened and Rosemary won with one move.

After the match, Evans distracted both Havok and Rosemary, allowing Steelz to steal the title belts. Evans ended up attacking them from behind when they distracted themselves towards Steelz.

– D’lo Brown & Matt Striker ran down tonight’s card.

– Gia Miller interviewed Ace Austin and asked if he felt prepared for Christian Cage. Austin said that he has been prepared to be the champion for a long time. Suddenly, they noticed that D’Amore was around and headed his way. Austin proposed that Cage should be in action next week, and since Fulton was free, he could take on that task. D’Amore agreed, but he instead made it a 10-man tag between team Austin vs team Cage.

Austin walked up to Brian Myers and asked him to join him on Team Austin. Myers agreed.

– We got a vignette of Rhino’s rehab with Violent By Design. Young interrogated Rhino about what he had learnt during his time in isolation. Rhino was once again baptized in the holy water of change.

Karl Anderson (with Doc Gallows) defeated Rich Swann in a Bunkhouse Brawl

This match was signed as a result of Swann confronting the Good Brothers last week. Anderson and Gallows took out Willie Mack a couple of weeks ago as these teams feud for the tag titles.

While this should be a singles match, Swann started the match going after both Anderson and Gallows with some of the weapons that surround the ring. Swann managed to maintain that momentum for a long while, switching between attacking Anderson and Gallows.

Unfortunately, distracting himself between two people became too much and Anderson was able to recover and take down Swann from behind. Anderson was completely dominant working over Swann, he put him through a plywood sheet, attacked him with garbage can lids, and back into what was left of the plywood sheet.

It was until Swann dodged a running Anderson that he was able to turn things around and get a near fall with a standing frog splash. Anderson came back with a spinebuster for a near fall himself. Anderson went for the gun stun, but Swann blocked it. Swann went for a 450, but Anderson dodged it and came back with a lariat.

Finally, Gallows brought out a table for Anderson, where he hit a top rope gun stun, and even if the table didn’t break, it was enough for the pin and win.

– Miller had a sit down interview with Mickie James. She asked about Purrazzo attacking her at NWA 73, to which James said that Purrazzo got the better of her because she didn’t expect it and she let her guard down. James said that she won’t let Purrazzo make a name out of her and she is not the producer she was at NWA Empower, she is now coming after Purrazzo as Hardcode Country Mickie James.

– We got a vignette by Matthew Rehwoldt talking and painting. Good promo on Trey Miguel, but I wasn’t impressed by his painting technique. He challenged Miguel to a match next week.

– Miller interviewed Josh Alexander about going into a match with Chris Sabin. Alexander said he was prepared for Sabin and brought up that Sabin is an 8x X Division champion because he lost it 8 times.

Christian Cage approached Alexander and asked him to join Team Cage for next week’s match against Team Austin.

– We got a recap of last week’s match where Raju and Shera defeated Cardona and Green when Raju knocked out Green with a jumping knee.

Rohit Raju cut a promo tha a lot of people were angry at him for how he defeated Green. He said that he would not apologize because he saw in Green eye’s how she wanted to take on a real man, and not someone like Cardona who hides behind her.

David Finlay defeated Chris Bey

Bey, as a representative of the Bullet Club, has been feuding with FinJuice for some months when they came back to the promotion, on the same night that Jay White debuted. Two weeks ago, Bey got a win over Finlay with his feet on the ropes, prompting this rematch.

In the most Bullet Club way, Bey started the match by stalling and doding Finlay around, to the point that Finlay had enough and chased after Bey to the floor where they started going back and forth.

The match eventually got back in the ring, where Finlay caught Bey with a back elbow and senton combo for the first pin attempt of the match. Finlay tried to follow with a plancha to the floor, only to get tricked by Bey, who successfully cut Finlay off on the ropes and gained control of the match.

Bey worked over Finlay’s back for a couple of minutes before he got cocky and thought he could hit the art of finesse, only for Finlay to block him and make a comeback. Finlay got a good near fall with a backbreaker, and quickly transitioned into an STF and into a crossface, but after some struggle, Bey made the ropes.

After a couple more near falls, Bey got the same pin that he used to defeat Finlay two weeks ago, except Juice Robinson was ready to make sure Bey couldn’t cheat. With the distraction, Finlay rolled up Bey and got the win.

After the match, Hikuleo made his debut and took out both Juice Robinson and David Finlay. Hikuleo and Bey Pillmanized Robinson’s ankle.

– Josh Alexander and Chris Sabin sat with Scott D’Amore for the Victory Road X Division match contract signing. They both had words for each other, signed the contract, and after some nice words from D’Amore, they both shook hands.

After Alexander was gone, Cage asked Sabin to join him in Team Cage. Sabin accepted.

– Over at Swinger’s Palace, TJP, Bahh, and No Way arrived and placed a bet on Maclin vs Petey Williams. TJP placed a bet on Maclin, while No Way teased a fight with Hernandez, and Undead Kimber Lee lurked around. All that happened.

Steve Maclin defeated Petey Williams

Petey Williams and Maclin have been feuding for some weeks now, trading momentum. Two weeks ago, Williams interfered in the TJP versus Maclin match to keep the feud going after Maclin had already defeated Williams at Emergence.

Match was back and forth and kept at a fast pace throughout. Maclin was all about power moves, while Williams did more high flying offensive moves. After a dive and a diving rana, Williams set up the Canadian destroyer, but out of nowhere, TJP, No Way, and Bahh came out with the conga line and distracted Williams enough for Maclin to hit mayhem for all for the win.

After the match, TJP and Williams eyed each other, and while it wasn’t officially a heel turn for TJP, it did seem like we’re heading that way.

– Miller interviewed Eddie Edwards about facing Moose with Morrissey in his corner. Edwards said that last week, he got taken out because he wasn’t ready, but this week, he’s ready for both of them.

Sami Callihan walked up to Edwards and told him that he needed him, but Edwards rejected the idea of him working along with Callihan. Christian Cage also walked up and asked them both to join Team Cage. Callihan quickly accepted, but Edwards told Cage that he had to choose between him and Callihan, because he was not going to team with Callihan.

– Miller asked Ace Austin if he had his team finalized, before he could answer, Moose and Morrissey approached him and said that if either Callihan or Edwards made Team Cage, then they were on Team Austin.

– Next week it will be Team Austin vs Team Cage. For Victory Road, they announced Hikuleo & Bey vs FinJuice and Tasha Steelz & Evans vs Decay for the Knockouts tag titles.

Moose (with W. Morrissey) defeated Eddie Edwards

These two have a long history together, but as of late, the ongoing feud of Edwards and Morrissey got mixed up with Moose and Callihan, rekindling the rivalry between Edwards and Moose.

Match started with good back and forth action, similar to a Japanese pacing with both men exchanging strikes and shoulder blocks, but it wouldn’t be long before Moose cut off Edwards on the ropes, snapping his arm on them. Moose would continue going after Edwards’ arm, with the occasional interference of Morrissey outside the ring.

Edwards would make a comeback and get into another strike exchange with Moose, that would end with Edwards spinning Moose around with a huge lariat, only to get taken out when Edwards went for the BKP. Edwards would dodge a lights out and get a near fall, but Morrissey was there to put Moose’s leg on the ropes. Edwards retaliated with a dive on Morrissey, but it was that distraction that allowed Moose to hit lights out and get the win.

After the match, Morrissey and Edwards ganged up on Edwards until Sabin came out for the save. Sabin managed to take down both guys, but Myers and all his gang came out to attack Sabin. Josh Alexander came out and took out everyone, including a C4 on Myers.

Ace Austin and Fulton came out and took out Alexander, and finally, it was Christian Cage that came out, took out Fulton, and along with Edwards, took out Ace Austin.

With everyone out, Moose and Morrissey recovered and were about to take out Edwards when Alisha Edwards of all people came out for the save, but she obviously couldn’t do much and was about to get destroyed by Morrissey when Callihan made the save. Callihan and Edwards worked together to take out Morrissey and at the request of Christian Cage, both men temporarily patched things up and agreed to work together in Team Cage.

Team Cage posed together as the show went off the air. Great looking unit this Team Cage.

Impact Wrestling live results: The return of Christian Cage

More than a decade after it ended, Thursday’s Impact Wrestling begins a new era for Christian Cage in the company.

Cage won the Impact World title last Friday on AEW Rampage and will be in the Impact Zone for the first time since 2008 ahead of this Friday’s title defense against Brian Myers at Emergence.

Thursday’s Emergence go-home show will also see the four men that will vye for a World title shot in a four-way Friday in tag team action as Moose teams with Ace Austin against Chris Sabin and Sami Callihan.

As a preview of the three-way Tag Team title match Friday, Doc Gallows of the Good Brothers will face Joe Doering of Violent by Design.

Melina will make her Impact in-ring debut ahead of her challenge of Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo at NWA Empower a week from this Saturday.

Other action includes Matt Cardona vs. Shera and the return of Madison Rayne’s Locker Room Talk as she chats with Tenille Dashwood.

The BTI pre-show match will feature Tasha Steelz vs. one half of the Knockouts Tag Team Champions, Havok.

* * * * * * * * * *

Tasha Steelz (with Savannah Evans) defeated Havok (with Rosemary) on BTI

* * * * * * * * * *

Opening video was a full recap of Omega’s Impact Championship reign, from winning it from Rich Swann, to losing it last week to Christian Cage on AEW’s first ever episode of Rampage.

Josh Matthews and Gia Miller opened the show in the ring. They were hyping up Christian Cage’s title win when Eddie Edwards and W. Morrissey stumbled into ringside brawling. It would end up being Sami Callihan who would run out for the save and between the two, they dispatched Morrissey to the back after security separated them. Callihan and Edwards had a bit of a staredown.

Callihan took a mic and said he didn’t want to wait for his match tonight and called out for the rest of the participants to come out.

Chris Sabin & Sami Callihan defeated Moose & Ace Austin (with Madman Fulton)

These four men will be wrestling tomorrow night at Emergence in a number one contendership match for the Impact World title at Victory Road. All four men were runner ups in the number one contender’s battle royale from last week, and thus taken into consideration for the match.

Callihan, now a full fledged babyface to the crowd, started the match with Austin, as he and Sabin took turns to show off and punish Austin.

Moose eventually tagged in and cut off Sabin, turning the momentum around. These two have been feuding for a while, so they repeated some of their spots like Moose chopping Sabin on the apron, with Sabin making the attempt to fight back when Moose got distracted playing to the crowd, but this time around, Fulton was there to make sure Sabin couldn’t gain momentum.

Callihan eventually got the hot tag and ran wild over Austin, followed by Sabin and Moose coming back to trade some quick signature moves with Callihan and Sabin, only to come back around to Callihan and Austin, with the former getting ready to finish off Austin, but Sabin tagged himself in, hit cradle shock on Austin, and won the match. In Sabin’s defense, Callihan was taking too much time to hit the piledriver.

After the match, Callihan hit the cactus special on Sabin and posed for the crowd. Callihan was the most over man in this match.

– D’lo Brown & Matt Striker ran down tonight’s card and a quick update on Emergence tomorrow night.

– We got a recap of the Good Brothers defeating Jon Moxley and Yuji Nagata, followed by the confrontation between the Brothers and the Guerrillas of Destiny, Tama Tonga and Tanga Roa.

Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows cut a promo backstage talking about Resurgence and how they do what they do best, beat up Jon Moxley. Anderson told GOD to not start anything they’re not ready for. Gallows also brought up that tonight he’s taking out “All Japan’s” Joe Doering.

– Sami Callihan cut a promo backstage telling Sabin to not poke the Death Machine and that tomorrow, he becomes the number one contender. He claimed that he took a piece of Kenny Omega over and over until he was easy for someone else to beat.

Eddie Edwards approached him and told him that because they teamed once, doesn’t mean they’re friends and told him to stay out of his business. It did come off as Callihan wanted to team again, but Edwards didn’t.

Matt Cardona (with Chelsea Green) defeated Mahabali Shera (with Rohit Raju)

Last week, Cardona took a fall to the debuting John Skyler after Raju and Shera interfered in the match. They had antagonized each other before, but it wasn’t until last week that Raju got into Cardona’s head.

Match started with both men measuring each other out, Shera showing that he had the power advantage, but Cardona still sent him to the floor for a big dive. As they tried to get back in the ring, Shera however, cut off Cardona.

Shera worked over Cardona’s back with sporadic cheap shots by Raju behind the referee’s sight. It would be until Cardona managed to dodge a running Shera and send him face first into the corner that Cardona started a comeback.

Shera still managed to get a good near fall with a chokeslam on his knee for a two count. Cardona came back with radio silence and got the win. Interference aside, this was pretty decent.

– We got an installment of Locker Room Talk with Madison Rayne and Johnny Swinger. Her guest was Tenille Dashwood, who Madison helped last week to defeat Taylor Wilde. The interview was back and forth putting each other over and talking about how they failed as a tag team last year, but that destiny had brought them back together. Her tag team name is The Influence.

The whole thing ended up with Swinger and Kaleb with a K talking trash to each other until they all convinced Kaleb to go and confront Kaleb for booking him against Wilde.

– Gia Miller interviewed Josh Alexander about his match with Jake Something, asking him about taking on someone bigger and stronger than he is. Alexander said that he wants to be the top champion in Impact and that means taking on everyone and is not concerned about Something’s size.

Something walked away and stumbled to Kaleb with a K with D’Amore. Kaleb was asking for a match, and so D’Amore booked Something versus Kaleb in a no dq match for later tonight.

– The new Impact World Champion Christian Cage came down to an Impact ring for the first time in about a decade. Cage said that it felt great to be back after so long, especially as the World Champion. He talked about how Impact took a chance on him in 2005.

Christian Cage said that it was time to finally retire the TNA Championship because they had to look into the future and the Impact title represented that and it represented all the young talent in the back coming after the Impact Championship.

Once that was done, Brian Myers, the number one contender to the Impact World title came out to meet Cage. Myers made some nostalgia jokes before telling Cage that he doesn’t live in the past and tomorrow at Emergence, he wins the Impact title. Cage came back telling Myers that he finally stopped complaining and left Cardona’s shadow, but he hasn’t won yet.

Myers tried to cheap shot Cage, but Cage was ready, took out Beale and sent Myers running.

– We got a commercial for NWA’s EMPOWER and NWA73.

– We got a recap of Deonna Purrazzo’s win at AAA’s Triplemania XXIX, defeating Faby Apache for the Campeonato Reina de Reinas.

Melina defeated Brandi Lauren

Melina is making her Impact in-ring debut tonight. Melina will be challenging for the Impact Knockouts championship at NWA’s EMPOWER show.

The match was for the most part a squash. Lauren had some offense at the start, but after a couple of minutes, Melina locked in her inverted Muta lock, the California Dream.

After the match, Deonna Purazzo got in a fight with Melina. Matthews Rehwoldt helped Purrazzo get the advantage, but Trey Miguel ran down to even the odds. Miguel and Melina ran off Purrazzo and Rehwoldt.

– Miller interviewed John Skyler about getting the upset on Matt Cardona. He pretended it wasn’t shocking nor an upset, he said he won clean. Suddenly we heard screams coming from the side and we saw Juice Robinson laying on the floor as David Finlay tried to figure out what had happened.

– We got a recap of Jordynne Grace’s weightlifting competition from a couple of weeks ago, where she broke a couple of records. She said that she will be going for the national title in november.

Jake Something defeated Kaleb with a K in a No DQs match

Kaleb with a K is wrestling with a neck brace that has a bow tie attached to it.

This was another squash match. Kaleb had some offense early on, but Something quickly used his power advantage to cut him off.

This being a no dq match, allowed Something to bring out a table to the ring and spear Kaleb through it for the finish.

After the match, Josh Alexander came out and got face to face with Something.

– Somewhere in the Undead Realm, Undead Kimber Lee told ‘Mother’ Su Yung that she collected her first soul, but not the last.

– Brown & Striker ran down tomorrow’s card for Emergence, including Madison Rayne vs Taylor Wilde, Tasha Steelz, Savannah Evans, Fallah Bahh, & No Way vs Decay, and Melina & Trey Miguel vs Deonna Purrazzo & Matthew Rehwoldt.

Joe Doering (with Violent By Design) defeated Doc Gallows (with Karl Anderson)

These two men will meet at Emergence in the Impact tag team match where the Good Brothers must defend against Violent By Design and the team of Swann and Mack.

It started with a strike exchange, but quickly spilled out to the floor.

Back in the ring, the match continued back and forth with strikes and shoulder tackles and Germans, reaching the point where both men were stumbling between strikes. Joe Doering at one point hit an incredibly impressive delayed vertical suplex, but Gallows rolled out of the ring. Really good call from commentary bringing up that Gallows has likely never taken a move like that.

Once again on the floor, both men kept exchanging strikes and ramming each other onto things. They tried to get back in the ring, but after the first shoulder tackle, both men spilled back to the floor, but this one, the men brawled to the ramp where Gallows hit a sky high and both men crashed through the ramp floor! Neither man was able to recover until the medic and staff came out to help. Both men crawled their way back to the ring to keep going, and they went back to it!

Gallows went for a second rope clothesline, only for Doering to catch him with a lariat coming down for the win. This was awesome, everything it had to be.

Impact Wrestling live results: 20-man battle royal for World title shot

Thursday’s show will also see NEVER Openweight Champion Jay White and Chris Bey take on FinJuice (David Finlay and Juice Robinson) ahead of Finlay’s challenge of White at New Japan’s Resurgence show Saturday in Los Angeles. Opening video was a recap of yesterday’s AEW Dynamite angle where Christian Cage announced that he is challenging for the Impact World Championship at AEW’s first ever Rampage.

Tenille Dashwood (with Kaleb with a K) defeated Taylor Wilde

After months, Wilde finally gets her revenge on Dashwood. A couple of months ago, Kaleb with a K got Wilde in trouble at the US border and wasn’t able to be at Impact . She finally returned, got her revenge on Kaleb, and now she aims for Dashwood.

Ok match, it was a bit of a longer version of most Dashwood matches. Wilde started with the upper hand, she was even doing some lucha spots, but as usual, Kaleb started to get involved to turn the match around. Wilde was able to counter Kaleb for a bit, but the distractions were enough that Dashwood eventually cut off Wilde.

Dashwood worked over Wilde for some time until Dashwood got a bit too cocky for her own good and allowed Wilde to recover and slowly start a comeback. Dashwood hit the diving crossbody to the corner for a near fall, followed by a rear naked, and that’s when Wilde managed to escape and take down Dashwood with a couple of clotheslines.

Kaleb got involved again and went to spray Wilde, only for the referee to get involved and take the spray to the face. Wilde decided to take out Kaleb, but with the distraction, Madison Rayne made his return, attacked Wilde, and set her up for Dashwood to pin.

After the match, Dashwood and Rayne embraced.

– We got a promo for tonight’s #1 Contender’s Battle Royale match, with a couple of comments from Johnny Swinger, Petey Williams, Ace Austin, Trey Miguel, Brian Myers, Rich Swann, Eddie Edwards, Chris Sabin, Moose, and more.

– D’lo Brown & Matt Striker ran down tonight’s card, plus a reminder for the Jay White vs David Finlay match at NJPW’s Resurgence.

X Division Champion Josh Alexander defeated Daivari in a non-title match

Last week, Daivari complained that he deserved to be the #1 contender to Alexander’s title, and so Alexander offered him a non-title match and if he could defeat him, he’d gladly put the title on the line.

Match started with both men trying to show to another that they had the ability to counter their submissions, with Alexander mostly getting the upper hand. At this point, Jake Something, the actual #1 contender to the X Division title, came out to the ramp to watch the match closely.

The match continued back and forth for a bit before Daivari cut off Alexander, worked on him a bit more before Alexander made a comeback and won with divine intervention.

After the match, Something and Alexander got face to face.

– We got a promo for Christian Cage versus Kenny Omega for the Impact title, with a Schiavone, Callihan, Ace Austin, Jim Ross, Deonna Purrazzo, and others having some comments.

– The Good Brothers cut a promo on their opponents for Emergence. They were confronted by Violent By Design, which ended with Gallows and Doering challenging each other to a battle of the hosses.

– Kiera Hogan came out to the ring. She addressed Tasha Steelz, who betrayed her last week, and told her that if she had a problem, then come down to the ring, bring out her new goofy friend, and get an ass whooping. Great short babyface promo by Hogan.

Instead, what Kiera Hogan got was Su Yung and her new minion, Undead Kimber Lee. Hogan and Lee brawled with the former getting the upper hand until Su Yung distracted Hogan and allowed Lee to lock in the mandible claw. They made it seem like Su Yung’s movements directly controlled Kimber Lee.

Lee dragged Kiera Hogan to the back by the hair before they both disappeared.

– We got  promo by Kenny Omega and Don Callis, recorded after yesterday’s AEW match. They talked about being sabotaged, for having him defend all his titles in every show. Callis said that they won’t get one-upped by Tony Khan or Scott D’Amore, they’re always ready and they will never lose the Impact title.

Omega said that he is not afraid of hard work,  that he is made different, and perfectly happy carrying Christian Cage’s legacy.

FinJuice (David Finlay & Juice Robinson) defeated  Bullet Club (Jay White & Chris Bey) by DQ.

This is Chris Bey’s first official Bullet Club match and he didn’t get the memo to wear the t-shirt. Last week, he was officially admitted into the Bullet Club as he has been aiding Jay White’s stalking of his Resurgence opponent — David Finlay.

Finlay and White started the match hot, going at each other, pushing each other around the ring until Finlay dropkicked him to the floor, but as he chased after him, White cut him off. Control didn’t last long as Bey tagged in and Finlay quickly escaped and tagged in Robinson.

It would be Robinson that White and Bey would cut off after the former distracted Robinson and allowed Bey to cut him off in the ropes.

Bey and White maintained control for some time while White was in the ring, but as soon as Bey tagged in, he slowly lost control until Robinson made a comeback with a suplex and tagged in Finlay.

We got a tease of White versus Finlay, but since Finlay was running wild, White dodged out of the way. Bey and Robison tagged back into the match only for Robinson to hit the Dusty jabs, block the art of finesse, and after a doomsday device, FinJuice had the win, if not for White that jumped in with a chair, taking out both Robinson and Finlay.

White hit the blade runner on Finlay on top of the chair before calling it a day.

– Gia Miller interviewed Tasha Steelz about why she attacked Kiera Hogan. Steelz explained that it was Hogan that asked her to tag, and a year later, it was Steelz that brought the flavor to Impact and Hogan’s run was done. She introduced Savannah Evans as her backup.

Fallah Bahh approached Steelz to see if they were still cool with each other and asked Steelz if she was still down to tag and take on Decay. Steelz agreed since she wants the tag titles back.

– Miller interviewed Melina Perez about coming to Impact and challenging Deonna Purrazzo for the title. She said that even after 20 years in the promotion, she was glad and surprised to see promotions coming together for an all women’s show. Purrazzo confronted her and told her she had been training with Invicta FC’s Atomweight champion Alesha Zappitella.

We got a video package of Purrazzo’s training with Zappitella, with both women saying some comments on what they’re learning and improving on. This was really good, but it just makes the heel look like she’s putting more work into the craft than the babyfaces.

After the package, Melina told Purrazzo that since she likes to show off, then next week, Melina gets to show Purrazzo what she has, as she has her Impact in-ring debut.

– Alex Marvez interviewed Christian Cage about his match with Omega at Rampage. Cage talked about winning the Impact title and coming back to the promotion after so many years and he wants to pay for what Impact did for his career years ago. He wished everyone in the battle royale luck, but they better know they will be challenging him, and not Omega.

John Skyler defeated Matt Cardona

This was going to be a squash match, but at the last second, Rohit Raju and Shera came out and distracted Cardona as he was about to hit radio silence, allowing Skyler to roll up Cardona for the upset win.
The match had been all Cardona sans the small hope spots that Skyler had with a slingshot spear for a 2 count.

Brian Myers won the #1 Contender’s Battle Royale

Participants in the match were Eddie Edwards, Moose, Chris Sabin, Brian Myers, Sam Beale, Sami Callihan, Hernandez, Johnny Swinger, Rich Swann, Willie Mack, No Way, Petey Williams, Trey Miguel, Ace Austin, Madman Fulton, W. Morrissey, Deaner, Rhino, Fallah Bahh, and Suicide.

Suicide was the first eliminated by Morrissey, followed by Swinger and Hernandez. After that, half of the match ganged up on Morrissey for a roar spot. Everyone chanted for Moose to take on Morrissey, who along with the other hosses like Fulton, Bahh, and No Way, eliminated Morrissey.

The match slowed down for a while for some elimination teases until Callihan tried to reunite with Fulton. Williams tried to hit a destroyer on the apron on Beale, only for Maclin to run down and eliminate him from the match. These two have been feuding for some weeks.

Swann eliminated Deaner after fighting in the apron, but Rhino was there ready to gore Swann off the apron. Mack jumped Rhino from behind and eliminated him, only for Fulton to eliminate Mack too.

Fulton eliminated No Way. Fulton was later eliminated by Bahh, trying to save Ace Austin from elimination. Moose eliminated Bahh.

Trey Miguel was eliminated by Myers pushing  Beale into him as Miguel went for a springboard move. That was more on Miguel. Edwards tried to eliminate Myers, but Beale saved him.

Moose eliminated Edwards with an Okada corner dropkick. Sabin and Moose started brawling outside the ring, while Myers eliminated his protege Beale. Callihan hit the cactus special on Myers, but Austin was there to take on Callihan. Both men ended in the apron exchanging strikes, but Fultno was there to save Austin from elimination. Callihan still hit a lariat and dropped Austin from Fulton’s shoulders. Moose dropkicked Callihan to eliminate him.

Down to Sabin, Moose, and Myers. Sabin had a sleeper on Moose when Myers jumped in from behind and eliminated both of them by surprise.

Brian Myers is the #1 contender for the Impact World championship, to challenge at Emergence. About time Myers got a shot for the big one.

Impact Wrestling live results: Kenny Omega in six-man tag team action

Preview by Josh Nason

AEW roster members Kenny Omega and Frankie Kazarian will be on opposite sides of a six-man tag team match in the main event of Thursday’s Impact Wrestling.

The Impact World Champion will team with Tag Team Champions The Good Brothers against Kazarian, Eddie Edwards and Sami Callihan. Kazarian made his surprise return last Thursday to defend Callihan as he was getting beaten down by The Elite team members. Edwards was added to the match by Tommy Dreamer despite Edwards being the blood rival of Callihan.

This will be Kazarian’s first match in Impact/TNA since May 2014.

Thursday will also see Chris Bey take on Juice Robinson as the former tries to earn his way into the Bullet Club; Jordynne Grace and Rachael Ellering against Fire N’ Flava in a battle of former Knockouts Tag Team Champions; and Jake Something vs. Rohit Raju vs. Trey Miguel vs. Daivari in an X-Division no. 1 contender’s match.

In the BTI pre-show match, Fallah Bahh will face Crazzy Steve of Decay.

Chris Bey (with Jay White) defeated Juice Robinson (with David Finlay)

Chris Bey has joined Jay White, as he hopes to be accepted into the Bullet Club, and after helping him attack Robinson and Finlay last week, we got this match. Finlay and White will be wrestling at NJPW Resurgence.

Match saw Bey get the better of Robinson right off the bat. He was cocky, kicking to the chants of “Bey” from the fans, dodging Robinson’s cannonball attempts, sending him to crash and burn on the corner, but Juice did eventually make a comeback.

Finish saw Jay White and Finlay brawl outside after White tried to distract Robinson, but the distraction was enough that it allowed Bey to hit the art of finesse on Robinson and get the win.

After the match, White officially gave the Bullet Club tee to Bey, accepting him in the stable.

– Gia Miller interviewed The Elite. Callus said that this was a trio of the top wrestlers in the world and there was no combination of wrestlers in the world that could contend with Omega and the Good Brothers together.

Violent By Design confronted them and told the Good Brothers that at Emergence, they’re calling for their tag title rematch.

– Miller interviewed Fire ‘n Flava about their match tonight after a rough couple of days. Hogan said that they were ready to get a W tonight. Hogan had a bit of backhanded comments about Steelz’ performance at the Homecoming tournament. The dissension continues.

– D’lo Brown & Matt Striker ran down tonight’s card and showed a short recap of the Homecoming King and Queen tournament, won by the debuting Matthew Rehwoldt and Deonna Purrazzo. They also recapped Josh Alexander defeating Black Taurus and Eddie Edwards defeating W. Morrissey.

– The Drama King Matthew Rehwoldt came out to the ring to cut a promo. After the crowd stopped rudely interrupting him, he introduced Deonna Purrazzo.

Purrazzo said that she has been collecting accolades since debuting for Impact Wrestling; she ran down all of her achievements when Micke James interrupted.

Purrazzo once again berated James for once again interrupting her during one of her ceremonies. James told her that she knew she’d say that, but she was there for business and wanted to seal the contract that would book Purrazzo for NWA’s EMPOWERRR in a title match. Purrazzo said she needed to know who her opponent was before signing, and out came Melina Perez!

Purrazzo and Melina exchanged some words with the usual threats of beating each other, both signed the contract, and it’s on.

– Miller interviewed Taylor Wilde about being gone for some time after coming back. Wilde said that she had been reported on the Canadian border and wasn’t allowed to come to the US until things cleared out. She suspected Dashwood because the person who called in was a ‘Kalvin with a K”. She challenged Dashwood to a match next week.

– Somewhere in the Undead Realm, Undead Kimber Lee asked “Mother” Su Yung if she could collect souls for her.

Jake Something defeated Trey Miguel, Daivari, and Rohit Raju (with Mahabali Shera) in an X Division Number One Contenders match

Match started and they immediately went into dives, first with Something taking out Daivari to the floor, Raju followed, and later Miguel. They did a couple more spots outside the ring with Something hitting a crossbody over all other men.

Back in the ring, Something dominated the ring for a couple of minutes before the numbers game was too much and he was cut off by Daivari and Raju. Something managed to make a comeback on them, only for Miguel to come back into action and take them all down. Miguel came close to getting the win with a last chancery on Raju, but Something broke it and hit the biggest powerbomb you’ve seen for a near fall. Something got rid of Raju and hit the black hole slam on Daivari for the win. Something was portrayed as a monster in this match, he dominated everyone.

Backstage, Raju threw a fit saying he should be the one challenging for the title. Matt Cardona confronted him because when he tossed his bag, he almost hit Chelsea Green. Raju walked away.

– Gia Miller interviewed Josh Alexander about Jake Something earning a title shot. Alexander was happy about it, but Daivari confronted him about not getting a shot himself. Alexander told him that they can wrestle next week and if Daivari wins, he’ll happily defend it against him too.

Jordynne Grace & Rachael Ellering defeated Fire ‘n Flava (Kiera Hogan & Tasha Steelz)

These teams had a long feud when Fire ‘n Flava were the tag team champions, but now both teams are looking to earn wins and shoot to challenge Decay for the same titles.

They started exchanging strikes before the bell, but the referee was able to get things under control. Once both teams were in their corners, Ellering and Grace dominated the match over Steelz until she escaped a muscle buster attempt from Grace and cut her off.

Steelz and Hogan did a good job keeping Grace away from her corner, but she eventually did. Ellering got the hot tag and things came down to her and Hogan, with the latter taking the loss from an assisted slam, after Stelz wasn’t able to recover quick enough to help her.

After the match, Steelz looked frustrated at Hogan. Suddenly, Savannah Evans came out and took out Hogan as Steelz watched.

– Miller interviewed Kazarian about coming back to Impact. He said that he was there because he had promised to chase The Elite wherever they went, and it happened to end up being Impact. He talked about all the men that built Impact, but that was yesterday and he was there for today.
Miller asked if she was ok teaming with two men that have a lot of issues between them, but Kazarian told her that he trusted Dreamer’s decision to recruit them.

– Violent By Design went to Scott D’Amore to confirm their rematch clause at Emergence. D’Amore said that Swann and Mack beat them and they also deserve a shot at the titles, so it will be a 3-way dance for the titles instead.

– We got a recap of last week’s altercations between Steve Maclin and Petey Williams.

Steve Maclin defeated Frontman Jah-C

This was another Maclin squash, he had him beat with a spear to Jah-C, who was in the tree of woe, but he released the pin in order to further injure the man. He did so several times until he hit mayhem for all. At one point, he even threatened referee Hebner for trying to pull him off Jah-C.

After the match, Maclin kept stomping until Petey Williams came down for the save, this time, Maclin avoided wrestling Williams.

– We had a new installment of All About Me with Tenille Dashwood. She explained that Taylor Wilde has been running wild attacking people, so today’s special guest interviewer was Impact’s doctor Ross Foreman.

Scott D’Amore interrupted the show and addressed Dashwood. She hoped that Wilde had been fired, but instead, D’Amore told her that Wilde had requested a match against Dashwood and he had granted her the match.

– We got a recap of last week’s Moose vs Chris Sabin match. Afterwards, Miller interviewed Sabin whether they had settled things. Sabin said that they were not done and that Sabin will win the number one’s contenders battle royal, defeat Omega, and will never let Moose be a champion.

Brown & Striker ran down next week’s card, including the Battle Royale, Tenille Dashwood vs Taylor Wilde, Daivari vs Alexander, and FinJuice vs Chris Bey & Jay White.

Eddie Edwards, Sami Callihan, & Frankie Kazarian defeated Impact World Champion Kenny Omega & Impact Tag Team Champions The Good Brothers (Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows) (with Don Callis) in a non-title match

This match came about after Frankie Kazarian chased down The Elite to Impact Wrestling and Tommy Dreamer gave him a match against Omega and The Good Brothers. Dreamer recruited Callihan and Edwards to team with Kazarian, but the issues between Callihan and Edwards go back a couple years already.

Match started with a brawl both inside and outside the ring, by the time the bell rang, Callihan was already going for a cactus special on Omega. He didn’t land it, but the babyface team had a chance to run wild over Omega, mostly Kazarian who got a good amount of offense in until Gallows attacked him from behind and allowed Omega to cut him off.

The Elite worked over Kazarian for some minutes, but he actually managed to escape and tagged in Edwards, who also immediately got cut off and worked on.

The Elite took more time to work over Edwards with more tags and triple team moves, they made sure that both Kazarian and Callihan were not available for tags, but nonetheless, Edwards made a comeback against Gallows and got the tag to Callihan, reluctantly.

Callihan went against Omega, but the match quickly broke down into tornado tag action with all men hitting their signature moves, ending with The Elite triple teaming Callihan with a double neckbreaker suplex for a near fall.

Edwards and Anderson tagged in, with the latter hitting a spinebuster, while Kazarian was taking out Gallows with a clothesline to the floor. Edwards hit a blue thunder bomb and set up the Boston knee party. Callihan took out Omega with a piledriver on the apron right before Edwards hit the BKP and got the win.

After the match, Don Callis checked on Omega, who was selling his neck after the piledriver. Edwards was hyping up the crowd when W. Morrissey jumped him from behind, hit a powerbomb, and posed over his fallen body. No one even tried to help Edwards.
