A four-way match has been added to the card for AEW’s next show.
On this week’s Being the Elite, it was announced that Hangman Page, MJF, Jimmy Havoc, and Jungle Boy will face off in a four-way match at Fyter Fest in Daytona Beach, Florida on Saturday, June 29.
There was a storyline on Being the Elite where Page wanted a match against MJF, but Nick Jackson couldn’t hear him correctly and originally booked him in matches against Jungle Boy and Havoc before the four-way was announced.
Page, MJF, Havoc, and Jungle Boy all took part in the segment where Bret Hart unveiled the AEW World Championship belt at Double or Nothing. MJF interrupted Hart and Page and insulted them, then Havoc and Jungle Boy stopped MJF as he tried to leave.
Page will face Chris Jericho at AEW All Out in Hoffman Estates, Illinois on August 31 to decide the first AEW World Champion. Tickets for All Out will go on sale this Friday (June 14) at noon Eastern time.
Fyter Fest is taking place at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach and is in partnership with CEO Fighting Game Championships. Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks vs. Pentagon Jr., Fenix, and a partner is also set for the show, along with Jon Moxley vs. Joey Janela, Cody Rhodes vs. Darby Allin, and CEO organizer Alex Jebailey vs. AEW’s Michal Nakazawa in a hardcore match (pre-show).
Fyter Fest will be available via Bleacher Report Live.
This week’s Being the Elite is available to watch below:
Moxley made a surprise appearance at Double or Nothing on Saturday night. AEW then announced that Moxley has signed a full-time, multi-year deal with them.
Coming out of Double or Nothing, AEW has made announcements for their next two shows.
– AEW sent out a press release tonight announcing that Jon Moxley (formerly Dean Ambrose in WWE) will make his in-ring debut for the promotion at Fyter Fest in Daytona Beach, Florida on Saturday, June 29. It was also announced that Moxley has signed a full-time, multi-year deal with AEW.
Moxley appeared after Chris Jericho defeated Kenny Omega in the main event of Double or Nothing. He interrupted Jericho’s post-match promo, then laid out Jericho and the referee. Moxley brawled with Omega and ended up laying him out as well.
Fyter Fest is in partnership with CEO Fighting Game Championships. The show is taking place at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach.
– At Fight for the Fallen, Cody & Dustin Rhodes will team against The Young Bucks. That show is being held at Daily’s Place Amphitheater in Jacksonville, Florida on Saturday, July 13 and is the third event in AEW history. Proceeds from the gate will benefit Jacksonville’s Victim Assistance Advisory Council.
Cody defeated Dustin at Double or Nothing, with Dustin bleeding heavily throughout the match. After the match, Cody cut a promo and said Dustin doesn’t get to retire here. He asked Dustin to team with him at Fight for the Fallen. Cody said he doesn’t need a partner or a friend for the tag match — he needs his older brother. Cody and Dustin then hugged.
Following Double or Nothing, Dustin tweeted that he’s feeling okay after his match against Cody: “I’m ok. God bless y’all and from my heart of hearts, the greatest night of my life.”
