Omega & Young Bucks vs. PAC & Lucha Bros set for AEW Fyter Fest

Kenny Omega and PAC will be on opposite sides of a six-man tag match at All Elite Wrestling’s event with CEO Fighting Game Championships.

It was announced today that Omega & The Young Bucks will team against PAC & Pentagon Jr. & Fenix at AEW Fyter Fest. The show is taking place at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach, Florida on Saturday, June 29.

The Young Bucks have been feuding with The Lucha Bros and will defend their AAA Tag Team titles against them at Double or Nothing in Las Vegas on May 25. Omega is facing Chris Jericho at Double or Nothing, while PAC is wrestling Hangman Page.

This is the second year in a row that Omega has been involved with a pro wrestling event that’s in partnership with CEO’s gaming convention. CEO x NJPW When Worlds Collide took place in Daytona Beach last June.

The Fyter Fest name was announced earlier this week and is a reference to the failed Fyre Fest music festival from 2017. CEO organizer Alex Jebailey vs. AEW’s Michael Nakazawa in a hardcore match is also set for Fyter Fest, with it being a rematch of their comedy match from the CEO x NJPW pre-show.

Tickets for Fyter Fest will go on sale in early May. AEW Fight for the Fallen is taking place in Jacksonville two weeks after Fyter Fest.

Card revealed for CEO x NJPW When Worlds Collide

Kenny Omega is set to headline the show that he and CEO Fighting Game Championships are putting on with NJPW later this month.

The card for the event was revealed this afternoon, with Omega & Kota Ibushi vs. Tetsuya Naito & Hiromu Takahashi topping the five-match lineup. The other matches are: Roppongi 3K (Sho & Yoh) vs. Dragon Lee & Ryusuke Taguchi, Guerrillas of Destiny (Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa) vs. Juice Robinson & David Finlay, Jushin Thunder Liger vs. Rocky Romero, and Jeff Cobb vs. Chase Owens.

The show, which is being called CEO x NJPW When Worlds Collide, will be held at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach, Florida on June 29th as part of CEO’s weekend of fighting video game events. It will be streamed live on CEO’s Twitch channel starting at 8 p.m. Eastern time.

When Worlds Collide is part of a busy end of June and beginning of July for NJPW internationally. They have Strong Style Evolved UK shows on June 30th and July 1st, along with the G1 Special in San Francisco at the Cow Palace on July 7th.

KUSHIDA, SANADA, EVIL, and BUSHI will also be appearing at ROH’s Best in the World pay-per-view on June 29th and their post-PPV television tapings the next day.

CEO x NJPW When Worlds Collide tickets to go on sale next week

CEO Fighting Game Championships announced ticket information today for their upcoming event in Daytona Beach, Florida featuring NJPW talent.

Tickets for CEO x NJPW When Worlds Collide will go on sale 5/3 for CEO 2018 attendees, then 5/4 for everyone else. More information will be released tomorrow in a press release that will be available to the public at 5 p.m. EDT.  The Golden Lovers and Jushin Thunder Liger are the first announced talent for the show, which is being promoted as a wrestling event.

It will take place at the Daytona Beach Ocean Center Arena, which holds 8,400 people. If the event were to sell out, it would likely be one of the bigger independent wrestling events in the United States in quite some time. And that record may be broken a month later when New Japan heads to the Cow Palace on July 7 for the G1 Special in San Francisco.

CEO Fighting Game Championships is an annual competitive video game event focused on tournaments. Their event will run from June 29 through July 1, with When Worlds Collide taking place on June 29.
