It will be The Briscoes defending their titles against SoCal Uncensored members Christopher Daniels & Frankie Kazarian at the PPV. The teams have been feuding since Best in the World in June, where SCU said they wanted the titles after making the save while The Briscoes were attacking The Young Bucks.
The Briscoes are also set to face Kazarian & Scorpio Sky in a non-title match at All In (during the Zero Hour broadcast on WGN America) this Saturday.
Death Before Dishonor is taking place at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on September 28. The Bullet Club (Cody Rhodes, The Young Bucks, Marty Scurll & Hangman Page) will take on Chaos (Kazuchika Okada, Tomohiro Ishii, Rocky Romero, Beretta & Chuckie T) in a 10-man tag match, and Jay Lethal vs. Will Ospreay for the ROH World Championship and Sumie Sakai vs. Tenille Dashwood for the Women of Honor title were set up for the PPV at ROH’s television tapings over the weekend.
Two matches have since been announced for that broadcast, which will be called “All In: Zero Hour” and will start at 6 p.m. Eastern time on September 1. The Briscoes are set to face Frankie Kazarian & Scorpio Sky, and there will be a 15-participant “Over Budget Battle Royale.”
Moose, Rocky Romero, Colt Cabana, Jordynne Grace, and Ethan Page are the first five wrestlers announced for the battle royal.
The All In main card will then begin at 7 p.m. Eastern and will air live on pay-per-view, Fite TV, and HonorClub, though further details on the HonorClub option have yet to be announced. Fite TV lists the price for the show at $39.99.
Here’s the updated card for All In:
NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis defending against Cody Rhodes
Kazuchika Okada vs. Marty Scurll
The Young Bucks & Kota Ibushi vs. Rey Mysterio, Fenix & Bandido
“Arrow” star Stephen Amell vs. Christopher Daniels
Hangman Page vs. Joey Janela
15-participant Over Budget Battle Royale (All In: Zero Hour)
The Briscoes vs. Frankie Kazarian & Scorpio Sky (All In: Zero Hour)
Though the show is now under two months away, wrestlers still continue to be announced for All In.
Three more regulars of the Being the Elite cast were confirmed for the event today as SoCal Uncensored (Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian, and Scorpio Sky) were added. Their angle on Being the Elite recently has been Daniels trying to frame “Arrow” star Stephen Amell for the storyline “murder” of Joey Ryan’s character. On the most recent episode, Amell was cleared due to insufficient evidence and having an alibi.
A wrestler was also removed from the All In card this week, with Cody Rhodes confirming that Deonna Purrazzo won’t be able to appear on the show. She’s expected to report to NXT soon.
A match for All in will be announced later today, making it the first one to be revealed for the event since the announcement of Cody challenging for the NWA title. Cody has said they’ll likely be rolling out matches week by week, but he doesn’t think they’ll ever release the full card prior to the show. It’s taking place at the Sears Centre Arena in the Chicago area on September 1.
Both Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian were injured at Ring of Honor events in Texas this weekend.
Kazarian took a bad bump taking the Indytaker move, a spike piledriver, during the finish of Friday night’s main event in San Antonio, a match with The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, Cody Rhodes & Stephen Amell vs. Daniels, Kazarian, Scorpio Sky & Flip Gordon. Kazarian didn’t work last night in Dallas, and flew back home to California before the show. It was thought on Friday to have been a possible stinger.
Daniels suffered mild burns last night in Dallas from a spot where he took a powerbomb through a flaming table. Cody defeated Daniels in a Texas Death Match to retain the ROH World Championship at the show.
Those at ROH believe the injury to Kazarian is not serious, but he won’t be on tonight’s show in Oklahoma City. The belief is that Daniels will be able to work tonight’s show.
Elevating current stars and establishing new ones was the theme of Ring of Honor television from this past week with the first episode in a series taped during the War of the Worlds tour. The fallout began to shape the next pay-per-view card.

Show Recap —
Opening the show was a video package showing the Bullet Club angle at War of the Worlds in NYC where Marty Scurll joined the group as Adam Cole departed. This was the first episode to air from the series of shows taped in Philadelphia after the PPV, so this show was fresh and more recent than the episodes airing the past few weeks.
Notable advertising elements on the show included an ad airing twice plugging the AXS TV live coverage of the NJPW shows in Long Beach.
Also, ROH inked an international TV deal for their show to begin airing in India. In their weekly plugs for the house shows and live events, “national TV tapings” are also now called “international TV tapings” in the rundown of the live shows.
The first full segment of the show was an in-ring promo. The Bullet Club has a new member and The Young Bucks came out to introduce him to the live crowd. Hangman Page flanked them as well, lurking in the background. The new member really did not need an introduction for the fans in attendance. The crowd began doing the “whoop whoop” routine for his theme song as soon as the music started. They knew him well.
Marty Scurll got a great reaction when he appeared on stage as the newest member of the Bullet Club. He displayed his Bullet Club branded umbrella. He also cut a promo using slang from the United Kingdom. On commentary, Colt Cabana asked Ian Riccaboni if he spoke British.
Scurll then proclaimed he wanted to have a tea party in the ring. He called for tea and crumpets to be brought out. Instead, Adam Cole interrupted the proceedings for “story time…BAY-BAY!”
He claimed being kicked out of the Bullet Club is the worst mistake the group has ever made. Hangman Page threatened Cole, vowing to run him out of ROH. This set up a match for the next episode, with the likely idea of Cole putting over Page to elevate him on the way out. That’s not a spoiler, just solid booking. Plus, it fit the show’s theme of moving people up the card.
Josh “The Goods” Woods defeated David Starr
An angle that aired many weeks ago during the final match of the Top Prospect Tournament set up this encounter. Woods won the tournament and Starr attacked him afterwards. The provocation was apparently due to Starr being upset that he was not part of the tourney.
Starr was the crowd favorite as he is part of the indie scene in the area. Woods would go on to gain the respect of the crowd. A slugfest developed. They both looked strong until the match quickly ended with Woods rolling through in a transition from a heel hook to a kneebar. Starr tapped out to give Woods the win.
Arguably, the grudge match was too short. However, the outcome helped to establish Woods and elevated his standing, which fit with the theme of the show.
A music video hyped Damian “Punishment” Martinez in another attempt to elevate a star. That trend kept continuing.
Silas Young and Beer City Bruiser sauntered to the ring. Young cut a promo and Bruiser drank beer. Young insulted Jay Lethal, bringing him rushing into the ring. Young and Bruiser scattered as they powdered out. Lethal grabbed a microphone for a response.
The segment was turning into something typical from WWE when Lethal asked a rhetorical question: “What the hell am I even doing with this microphone?” Lethal added, “This is not the company where we talk about our problems.”
This is ROH and they settle things in the ring, so Lethal challenged Young. Ever the heel, Young told Lethal he first had to go through Bruiser.
Jay Lethal vs. Beer City Bruiser ended in a no contest
Young was providing guest commentary, which played into the finish. Bruiser tried to gain an underhanded advantage by rushing into the ring and jumping Lethal before the bell. Lethal fought him off and they brawled around ringside.
Bruiser got heat on Lethal until a comeback. As Lethal climbed the turnbuckles and signaled for Hail to the King, Bruiser rolled out of the ring. Lethal jumped off the top with a plancha to wipe out Bruiser.
Suddenly, Lethal turned his attention to Young just before they began slugging it out. The referee called for the bell. Bruiser and Young were starting a beatdown when Bobby Fish ran in to make the save. Lethal feuding with Young should in theory elevate Young up the cards, continuing the theme of the show.
Before the main event began, Cody (Rhodes) cut a promo in the ring. He was upset about the finish in the main event at War of the Worlds. Cody blamed everybody but himself for not winning the ROH World title. He laid blame on corporate powers, even calling out Sinclair Broadcasting by name, in saying they are afraid of having their champion be basically an unsigned free agent. He did give credit to Christopher Daniels for being smart.
Cody seemed to focus on one particular moment from the triple threat match at War of the Worlds. Cody insisted he had Lethal laying prone flat on the mat in the figure four leglock. He persuaded Colt Cabana to repeat a line on commentary he supposedly said that night about having Lethal down for a pin. Cabana was reluctant at first, but he eventually did as Cody asked.
Cody was concluding his point about being the rightful champion when Frankie Kazarian’s theme music cut him off.
Cody defeated Frankie Kazarian
The match developed into a melee early on. Kazarian gained an advantage until Cody went back to the outside. He grabbed a cup of beer from a fan, then hit Kazarian with it. This seemingly helped turn the tide.
Cody began taunting Kazarian at one point. When the action spilled outside again, Cody inadvertently kicked one of the ring crew. Kazarian dove with a plancha and wiped out both Cody and the crew member.
They eventually returned to the ring where they had several false finishes and near falls. It built masterfully with Kazarian locking in a submission hold. Cody escaped and the match was nip-and-tuck down the final stretch. Cody finally delivered Cross Rhodes to pin Kazarian.
Afterwards, Hangman Page joined Cody in setting up a beatdown. Before they could pummel Kazarian, Christopher Daniels stormed into the ring to make the save as the show closed.
Though the episode left an open-ended question about Cody demanding a title match with Daniels, ROH this past week officially announced Cody vs. Daniels for the title as the main event of the next PPV.
On the newest episode of ROH TV airing this weekend in syndication, it’s Adam Cole’s swan song in ROH with a match against Hangman Page. Plus, Los Ingobernables de Japon appear in an eight-man tag match.
– Stacy Shadows defeated Sierra in a Women of Honor match
These were two local wrestlers from Brew City Wrestling.
Neither Bobby Cruise nor Scarlett Bordeaux was there as an announcer. Silas Young and Beer City Bruiser basically ran the show last night.
– The Motor City Machine Guns defeated The Kingdom (Matt Taven & Vinny Marseglia)
This match spilled into the crowd and to the bar area. Taven and Marseglia took shots of Jack Daniels during the match. The crowd chanted “shots” for all of Taven’s strikes as he promised to buy shots for the crowd several years back. MCMG got the win.
– Beer City Bruiser defeated Punishment Martinez, Shane Taylor, and Cheeseburger in a four-way match
This was a standard ROH four-way. Cheeseburger got ragdolled around and did comedy spots. Martinez was somewhat of a disappointment to me. BCB got the hometown rub and won the match.
– Adam Cole defeated Jay White
Both did solid work here. Cole hit multiple shining wizards and connected with a superkick off of a high-risk move from White. Hangman Page interfered and put a noose on White. As this happened, Romantic Touch (Rhett Titus under a mask) came out to make the save.
– Hangman Page defeated Romantic Touch
This was an impromptu match after the previous one.
– ROH Six-Man Tag Team Champions Bully Ray & The Briscoes defeated War Machine & Dalton Castle in a Milwaukee street fight
This was easily the match of the night and the crowd was really into it. War Machine came out as Castle’s Boys. The match was announced as a Milwaukee street fight. They used chairs and beer cans, did hoss spots, and there was an impromptu peacock-off between Castle and Bully Ray that popped the crowd hard for at least five minutes.
Bully Ray did a table spot and put Castle through it for the win. He got on the mic and said he is happy to be in ROH and said he is happy to do that kind of match again. He was incredibly gracious to the crowd. He seemed excited to be there last night.
– Will Ferrara defeated Jared Jaxx
Jaxx is a local from BCW. Ferrara refused the Code of Honor and won by pin in a forgettable match.
– ROH World Television Champion Marty Scurll defeated Delirious
Scurll was super over. He’s an awesome, fresh character. He did the finger break spot, and since Delirious was barefoot, a toe-breaking spot as well. He won with the chickenwing.
– ROH World Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks defeated The Addiction (ROH World Champion Christopher Daniels & Frankie Kazarian)
As usual, the Bucks were the main attraction. There were plenty of Bullet Club, The Elite, and Young Bucks shirts in the crowd. Beer City Bruiser initially announced that The Addiction would not compete due to food poisoning. The Bucks then offered an open challenge, which The Addiction accepted dressed up as the Legion of Doom — Hawk Daniels and Animal Kazarian.
They had a great match. I’m sure these guys can do this in their sleep at this point. Bucks hit the Meltzer Driver for the win.
– Silas Young defeated Jay Lethal
This was a good match, but it started about three hours in. The crowd was kind of dead after the six-man and Young Bucks matches. Young got the win by pinfall. He’s so agile for a guy his size.
Overall, this was a very good show. The ROH roster seems pretty thin at this point. The Bucks are definitely the most over, though the six-man street fight stole this show. People walking out seemed to enjoy the show.
My biggest takeaway from it was that ROH came to Milwaukee in June 2016 with a show that had Moose, Lio Rush, Kyle O’Reilly, Bobby Fish, Donovan Dijak, Kamaitachi, RPG Vice, Michael Elgin, ACH, Juice Robinson, and Roderick Strong. It’s pretty crazy how most of those guys are gone.
Marty Scurll defended his ROH World TV title in the main event against Frankie Kazarian, albeit with some outside interference. Matt Sydal then made a surprise return to confront “The Villain” after the title match. In another confrontation involving a championship, ROH World Champion Christopher Daniels and Cody (Rhodes) looked ahead to a match in the future.
Elsewhere on the show, Josh “The Goods” Woods won the 2017 Top Prospect Tournament only to find himself the target of another potential prospect. Also, Lio Rush went airborne in a match against Shane Taylor.
Where to Watch —
The episode began airing this past weekend in syndication. The show is available this week via the FITE TV app before airing Wednesday at midnight ET on Comet TV, including that channel’s free online live stream. In Canada, ROH airs on The Fight Network. The episode is also available via the official ROH website for free starting Thursday. Check local listings for availability in your area.

Show Recap —
The episode opened with an in-ring promo. Is this Raw?
ROH World Champion Christopher Daniels was in the ring welcoming viewers to the show. He went on to talk about his challengers past and present. Daniels concluded by mentioning that Cody (Rhodes) attacked him at Supercard of Honor.
Daniels wanted ROH officials to book a match with him and Cody. Cue Cody’s theme song as he entered the scene to confront Daniels in person. Cody did a full entrance with pyro. Cody wanted a title match at the War of the Worlds show in the Hammerstein Ballroom.
Cody portrayed himself as an outsider that is not even a full-timer in ROH. According to a note in the Tuesday Daily Update, that might not be the case for much longer as Cody is reportedly inking a deal with ROH. Cody will challenge for the title in a triple threat match at the War of the Worlds pay-per-view in New York.
A video package highlighted ROH World TV Champion Marty Scurll, who defends his title on the main event of this show. Then in a pre-taped promo, Frankie Kazarian threatened violence upon the champion. Kazarian said Scurll will need his umbrella because it will rain blood. He may need more than an umbrella if that were to happen. Nonetheless, the umbrella would still factor into their match later on.
Shane Taylor (w/ Caprice Coleman) defeated Lio Rush
Before the match, Coleman chastised Rush for deceiving The Rebellion. Taylor would make Rush pay his penance in storyline. In reality, Rush is leaving the promotion and putting over a new monster heel on the way out.
The story of the match was David vs. Goliath, except Goliath got the win. Rush flew in and out of the ring during the fast-paced match, but Taylor kept overpowering him. To set up the heat spot, Taylor caught Rush on a springboard and posted him. After a commercial break, Rush flew once again as the pace quickened even more.
Coleman got involved by hopping on the apron. He got knocked off and dispatched upside down on the outside. They went into the finish where Rush was launched in the air taking a sit-out powerbomb. Taylor then pinned him.
The Motor City Machine Guns ran to the ring to assist Rush. They have an ongoing program with The Rebellion, so the heel faction attacked them. Taylor climbed the ropes and splashed Chris Sabin to put an exclamation point on the beatdown.
Josh “The Goods” Woods defeated John Skyler to win the 2017 Top Prospect Tournament
The two finalists in the tournament each got a pre-taped promo to establish their characters, along with a video package highlighting their journey to the finals. The culmination of the tournament then led to an angle establishing a new character not even in the tourney itself.
Woods has an MMA gimmick and worked that into the finish. Skyler got to play to his strengths while also helping lead the way. They continued a theme on this show of doing a lot in a limited amount of time.
Heading into the finish, Skyler got a near fall in the closing moments and looked to put away a reeling Woods. However, Woods countered with an O’Connor roll, then followed up with a German suplex. After a two count, Woods transitioned into a kneebar for the submission.
In the aftermath of the match, David Starr ran in to jump Woods. He sucker-punched him and began to mock Woods. Starr then cut a promo putting himself over, along with mentioning his countless number of nicknames. He ended by saying he is very good at professional wrestling. Okay, cool story bro.
Adam Cole in a pre-taped promo once again pleaded with The Young Bucks for them all to reconcile their differences. In recent weeks, Cole was more solemn, but this promo had more panic in his voice. Desperation mounts as he looks at ways to reunite the Superkliq.
ROH World TV Champion Marty Scurll defeated Frankie Kazarian to retain his title
They began with chain wrestling and Scurll soon started to underestimate Kazarian. Scurll quickly paid for that after taking an implant DDT on the floor. Somehow, Scurll managed to recover and counter Kazarian. It wasn’t for long as Kazarian unleashed a flurry of offense leading to a few near falls.
Scurll was able to regroup and attempt to apply a crossface chicken wing. Kazarian countered into a pinning combination for a two count. Scurll then dropped Kazarian into a brainbuster for another near fall.
Being “The Villain,” Scurll retrieved his umbrella. Kazarian cut him off and got the umbrella. Scurll then got a bag of powder that was hidden under the ring. Scurll threw powder towards Kazarian, only to inadvertently blind the referee instead. Kazarian executed his finisher called the Ace of Spades.
After covering Kazarian for longer than a three count with the referee still down selling, Bullet Club’s Hangman Page stormed to the ring and hit Kazarian with a chair. Scurll covered Kazarian as the referee miraculously regained his sight long enough to count the pinfall.
Afterwards, Daniels rushed to the ring and tended to Kazarian. Scurll then grabbed the house microphone and said he wanted more competition in ROH. Suddenly, Matt Sydal returned to ROH wanting a TV title shot. He confronted the TV champion as the show closed.
Ring of Honor television from this past week was the go-home show ahead of tonight’s 15th Anniversary pay-per-view. The main development heading into the PPV was the heel turn of Frankie Kazarian, where he joined the Bullet Club in the aftermath of this show’s main event eight-man tag match.
The show opened with a promo from one team involved in the main event later on. The Briscoes, Jay Lethal, and Bobby Fish hyped their eight-man tag match with the Bullet Club.
They took turns insulting their opponents.
Dalton Castle provided guest commentary for the first match alongside Ian Riccaboni. In storyline, Castle and his Boys have issues to settle with The Kingdom and they face them on the PPV tonight for the World Six-Man Championship.
World Six-Man Tag Team Champions The Kingdom defeated The Rebellion to retain their titles
TK O’Ryan and Rhett Titus had a hair pulling contest at the outset, followed by comedy spots with Caprice Coleman and Vinny Marseglia. Matt Taven and Kenny King then started having a wrestling match.
Though the match was originally heels against heels, Titus left the match selling an injury to his knee. That left The Kingdom with a three-on-two advantage, seemingly making The Rebellion the de facto babyfaces. Thusly, The Kingdom worked over Coleman for the heat.
Coleman made a comeback and tried to tag out, but King was knocked off the apron and unable to tag. Suddenly, Lio Rush hit the ring dressed in camouflage gear. The Rebellion previously tried to recruit him for their stable. Here he looked to have joined them, or did he?
Rush ran wild off a hot tag, only to turn on The Rebellion when he dropped King with a cutter. The Kingdom executed a triple-team powerbomb and Taven covered King for the pinfall.
In a pre-taped promo, Jay White challenged Jay Briscoe to a rematch after their last bout ended in a draw. On another pre-taped promo with Briscoe in Sandy Fork, he accepted the challenge for a match that airs on TV in two weeks.
Brian Milonas defeated Raphael King (w/ Devyn Nicole) to advance in the Top Prospect Tournament
Brutal Bob Evans was back for guest commentary as he does on every match in this tourney. They had a slugfest at the outset, then King got to shine briefly before being cut off. King made a quick comeback and used a Rock Bottom for a near fall.
When he attempted a second Rock Bottom, Milonas blocked it and dropped King with a sidewalk slam, followed by a senton to cover him for the pin.
Christopher Daniels provided guest commentary for the main event, setting the stage for the angle that closed the show.
Adam Cole, Cody & The Young Bucks defeated Jay Lethal, Bobby Fish & The Briscoes
The action got wild from the start when a huge brawl erupted with dives all over the place. After the ring emptied, Cody squared off with Lethal in the ring since they have an ongoing feud.
Fish and Cole squared off next as they also have ongoing issues. The Young Bucks and Briscoes then squared off since those two teams have been battling each other. At first the Briscoes appeared to block superkicks, only for both to eat superkicks from Nick and Matt Jackson. Lethal hit the ring and attempted the Lethal Injection, but the Jacksons superkicked him.
With an ode to Kenny Omega, Nick and Matt Jackson did the Rise of the Terminator spot leading to them doing flip dives to the outside. That led to Jay Briscoe doing a tope con hilo to the outside, then his brother Mark followed with a blockbuster off the apron. Mark also climbed to the top turnbuckle, but Cody cut him off and superplexed him to the floor onto a pile of bodies.
Back in the ring, Bullet Club got heat on Mark Briscoe. That built to a hot tag that brought Lethal in like a house of fire, leading to a trifecta of topes. On the third tope, Lethal inadvertently hit Fish and that caused dissension between the two tag partners.
The dissension led to a shoving match, then a brawl between Fish and Lethal. They brawled around the building, leaving the two Briscoes to face the four members of the Bullet Club. They fought valiantly and were able to single out Matt Jackson.
The Briscoes went for the Doomsday Device, but Jackson landed on his feet to superkick them. A superkick party began and Jay Briscoe fell victim to Cross Rhodes. Cole executed the Last Shot on Mark Briscoe as the Jacksons also superkicked Mark. The Young Bucks finished off Mark with the Meltzer Driver and Matt pinned him.
In the aftermath, the dust settled and Cole was in the ring gloating over the victory while holding his ROH World title overhead. Christopher Daniels left his perch at the commentary table to rush the ring and sneak up behind Cole. They began to slug it out and Daniels hoisted Cole to deliver Angel’s Wings.
Daniels retrieved hair clippers and a pair of scissors, threatening to cut Cole’s long locks. Cole tried to fight back and Daniels delivered Angel’s Wings again. Daniels’ tag team partner, Frankie Kazarian, hit the ring to seemingly assist in giving Cole a hair cut.
Kazarian removed his hoodie to reveal a Bullet Club t-shirt. Kazarian faced off with Daniels. The distraction allowed for The Young Bucks to superkick Daniels. The rest of Bullet Club surrounded a prone Daniels to welcome Kazarian as their newest member.
The latest episode begins airing this weekend in syndication. The show is then available Monday evening via the FITE TV app before airing on Wednesday at midnight ET on Comet TV, including that channel’s online live stream. The episode is then available to watch on Thursday via the official ROH website.
