La Catalina, El Mesias, and more part of upcoming AAA on Fox episode

The first few matches and segments for the upcoming April 25th episode of AAA on Fox have now been announced.

Moments after the April 18 episode of AAA on Fox, after WWE WrestleMania 42, AAA announced the lineup for next week’s April 25 episode.

WWE’s Rey Fenix is scheduled to be in action against an unnamed opponent, while Texano Jr. is set to return and team up with El Grande Americano and face the duo of El Mesias and Mecha Wolf. Texano Jr. has not wrestled for the promotion since October 2024.

Former CMLL wrestler and AAA’s newest addition, La Catalina, is scheduled for an interview, while Dorian Roldan awaits to hear the decision on becoming the new AAA General Manager.

The April 18 episode announced that El Grande Americano II and El Grande Americano will sign their mask vs. mask match contract on the May 2 AAA on Fox episode.

BVV: Fun multi-man matches highlighted last week’s TNA & AAA action

This week’s Big Vinny V Show is bit of a diversion as we take a partial break from TNA Impact.

We’ll stop there first to watch the opener which was an eight-man pitting Mike Santana, Leon Slater, Trey Miguel & Moose against members of Order 4 and the System. It’s a good reminder of how good TNA can be at its best, but then there’s a reminder of how bad it can be at its worst.

Then we head south of the border to AAA where the theme of the night was international trios match – first Japan vs. Puerto Rico, then the United Kingdom vs. the European Union.

Oh, and Flammer defends the Reina de Reinas championship in about as much time as it took you to read this blurb.

El Mesias return part of next week’s AAA lineup

After weeks of absence, El Mesias is set to return to AAA.

The 50-year-old wrestling veteran El Mesias was announced to return on next week’s AAA on Fox episode. The return was announced on the March 28 episode of AAA Rey de Reyes third week.

Next week, El Mesias will return to AAA, while the longest-reigning Reina de Reinas champion Lady Flammer will take on Sussy Love.

While absent from televised action, El Mesias has been active and wrestling in several non-televised AAA shows, with his latest one being El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. & Laredo Kid on March 21 at AAA Ruta Norte/RCG Entertainment. At the show, he suffered a loss while teaming up with Mecha Wolf.

His last televised wrestling match dates back to a win over Tokyo Bad Boys (Kento, Nobu San & Takuma) on the February 28 edition of AAA on Fox taping.

A multi-time champion in AAA, it is currently unknown what the promotion plans to do with El Mesias upon his return.
