Kyle Fletcher was previously announced for the card, taking on former ROH World Champion Jay Lethal. As of this point, no Callis Family members have been announced for Sunday’s Double or Nothing card.

The names keep being added to next month’s AEW vs. CMLL week at Arena Mexico.

Announced during Wednesday’s CMLL Informa show, Konosuke Takeshita, Rocky Romero & Kyle Fletcher of the Don Callis Family have been added to the Tuesday, June 17th show featuring AEW & ROH vs. CMLL.

The trio will battle Averno, Hechicero & Ultimo Guerrero in a trios bout.

Additionally, Ring of Honor Women’s TV Champion Red Velvet has been added to the same show as she battles CMLL Women’s Universal Champion Persephone. It was not confirmed if either title, or both, are on the line. Persephone will make her Tony Khan-owned company debut later this month in El Paso, Texas, assumed to be for ROH.

All of the AEW competitors have previously competed in CMLL.

The centerpiece of the week is AEW making their Dynamite debut in Arena Mexico on Wednesday, June 18th followed by Fantasticamania on Friday, June 20th featuring Thunder Rosa.

Trent Beretta returns on AEW Collision, Rocky Romero joins Don Callis Family

When Don Callis said last week that they were looking for new members to join his family, he didn’t waste any time in doing just that.

After Josh Alexander debuted on Wednesday’s Dynamite and later aligned with Callis, Thursday’s AEW Collision saw both the return of Trent Beretta and a Rocky Romero heel turn to round out the new crew.

Romero and Tomohiro Ishii were taking on Alexander and Konosuke Takeshita when Romero dropped off the apron in frustration after accidentally getting clotheslined by Ishii. Alexander pinned Ishii after he and Takeshita landed dual forearm strikes followed by a power bomb.

Afterward, Romero helped Ishii up when a hooded man entered the ring, later revealing himself to be Beretta, making his return after nearly a year away and nine months removed from neck surgery. He and Romero attacked Ishii before the rest of the Callis family joined them with Callis handing Beretta a wrench which he used to nail Ishii in the back.

The faction lost both Mark Davis and Brian Cage recently due to injury. Lance Archer remains part of the group but wasn’t out for the aforementioned angle.

Romero, Ishii and Beretta were part of the CHAOS faction in NJPW. Beretta last wrestled at May 2024’s Double or Nothing.

Mark Davis revealed as new Don Callis Family member on AEW Dynamite

The teased new member of the Don Callis Family was revealed on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite to be Mark Davis, formerly of Aussie Open.

Davis took on a very surprised Will Ospreay on Wednesday, but ended up falling in defeat after getting nailed with a Hidden Blade.

The twist is that Davis was formerly aligned with Ospreay and Kyle Fletcher in the United Empire faction. After missing a year due to a wrist and knee injury, he made his surprise return on the October 30th Dynamite to confront Fletcher who had joined the Callis Family at that point.

No reason was given for his turn back to being a heel other than Callis saying that when Davis was in the hospital, he had given Fletcher power of attorney, so Callis basically owned him now. Davis did appear to glare at Callis coming out to the ring.

In subsequent matches, he teamed with Ospreay, Powerhouse Hobbs and Ricochet against the Callis Family but there were no signs of friction. He also unsuccessfully competed in the Dynamite diamond battle royal and the ROH men’s TV title Survival of the Fittest match at ROH Final Battle before disappearing off AEW TV in mid-December.

Jake Roberts completes trade with Don Callis, aligns with new faction on AEW Dynamite

Jake Roberts has some new running mates in AEW and it’s not who anyone would have expected as he is now part of LFI along with Rush, The Beast Mortos and Dralistico.

Earlier on the Title Tuesday edition of Dynamite, Roberts completed a deal with Don Callis that put Lance Archer in the Don Callis Family. Renee Paquette asked Roberts what he got in the deal and he asked her if she liked surprises.

Following Hologram’s win over Komander, Roberts came out on the stage and Rush, Mortos and Dralistico ran in and attacked both men. Afterward, they raised fists and pointed to Roberts who then followed suit.

Rush had joined the Callis Family earlier this year, but it had appeared that was quietly dropped in recent weeks.

After re-signing with AEW in March, Roberts hasn’t been on TV in quite some time. It’s unclear what this means for The Righteous who were also part of Roberts’ faction over the last year.

Archer joins Konosuke Takeshita, Powerhouse Hobbs and Kyle Fletcher in the Callis clan.

Rush joins Don Callis Family on AEW Rampage

After a few weeks of flirtation, Rush is now a member of the Don Callis Family.

On Friday’s AEW Rampage, Rush defeated Komander in the show opener while Callis was on commentary at ringside. Afterward, Rush dropped his prone opponent at Callis’ feet just as two of Callis’ other charges — Konosuke Takeshita & Kyle Fletcher — came out for their tag team match.

Later, Callis gleefully revealed some footage from earlier this week where he and Rush made their deal with Callis using his past working with the likes of Kenny Omega, Will Ospreay and Chris Jericho as part of his rationale for joining:

Rush now joins Takeshita, Fletcher and Trent Beretta in the growing faction who lost Ospreay this past Wednesday when he requested his departure from the group which Callis accepted.

Since returning from an extended leave, Rush is 5-1 in AEW with his sole loss coming to MJF.

Best Friends vs. Don Callis Family announced for AEW Rampage

A new match has been announced for AEW Rampage.

Orange Cassidy and Trent Beretta will wrestle Kyle Fletcher and Powerhouse Hobbs in an AEW World Tag Team Championship tournament wildcard match on the show. The winners will advance to face The Undisputed Kingdom’s Matt Taven and Mike Bennett in the quarterfinals.

The first match in the tournament took place on Saturday at AEW Collision. The Infantry defeated House of Black, advancing to wrestle FTR in the quarterfinals.

Powerhouse Hobbs joins The Don Callis Family at AEW Dynamite Anniversary

Powerhouse Hobbs is the newest member of The Don Callis Family.

Hobbs was introduced as the most recent addition to the Callis stable at Wednesday’s Dynamite Anniversary show as he decimated Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho in a post-match attack.

After Omega and Jericho defeated Kyle Fletcher (subbing for Sammy Guevara) and Konosuke Takeshita in tag team action on Dynamite, Hobbs hit the ring and attacked Omega and Jericho at the direction of Callis.

Hobbs sent Omega over the ringside barricade and into the crowd, then continued his attack on Omega in the ring as Callis and Takeshita used duct tape to restrain Omega. Hobbs used a chair to attack Jericho, then allowed Callis to hit Omega with an unprotected chair shot to the head as the angle culminated.

Following the angle, Jericho vs. Hobbs was one of four new matches announced for next week’s AEW Dynamite Title Tuesday.

Hobbs had been a featured player on Collision since that show’s debut in June, feuding with Miro. Their issue came to a close at All Out last month where Miro came away with a victory and branched off into an angle with his wife CJ Perry. Since losing at the pay-per-view, Hobbs has wrestled twice in dark matches at Collision tapings.

Kenny Omega & Chris Jericho challenge Don Callis Family for AEW WrestleDream

In an unexpected union, it appears former rivals will turn partners as Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho issued a challenge to the Don Callis Family for next Sunday’s AEW WrestleDream.

The potential match came together on Friday’s AEW Rampage Grand Slam as Omega came out to Jericho’s aid as Konosuke Takeshita, Sammy Guevara and Callis were attacking him. As Callis was about to hit Jericho with a screwdriver, Omega emerged to run off the heel unit before having a staredown with Jericho.

In a backstage segment, Jericho suggested Omega and recent Callis target Kota Ibushi unite in Callis’ worst nightmare. The three could face Takeshita, Guevara and a mystery partner at the Sunday, October 1st pay-per-view.

The Righteous will look for their first reign as Ring of Honor Tag Team Champions as they face MJF & Adam Cole at the PPV.

Vincent & Dutch won a four-way tag team match on Rampage that included Matt & Jeff Hardy, The Kingdom (Matt Taven & Mike Bennett) and Best Friends (Chuck Taylor & Trent Beretta) to earn the opportunity.

The two have held ROH gold before as they carried the Six-Man titles with Bateman from late-2021 through the summer of 2022.

After winning the titles at last month’s All In, MJF & Cole will be looking for their second title defense.

Here’s the updated card for Seattle, Washington:

  • Hangman Page vs. Swerve Strickland
  • AEW Tag Team Champions FTR defend against Aussie Open
  • ROH Tag Team Champions Adam Cole & MJF defend against The Righteous (Vincent & Dutch)
