Sammy Guevara vs. Dante Martin set for AEW Dynamite Fight for the Fallen

A new match has been announced for this week’s AEW Dynamite Fight for the Fallen.

Returning to AEW action for the first time since last month’s Blood & Guts match, Sammy Guevara of the Jericho Appreciation Society will face Dante Martin on Wednesday’s show. AEW president Tony Khan announced the match on Twitter on Tuesday.

Guevara vs. Martin joins three title matches, plus the return of Bryan Danielson for the first time since Double or Nothing in Wednesday’s Fight for the Fallen lineup. A two-on-one match, and a Jungle Boy promo have also been advertised.

Here is what has been announced for this week’s Dynamite:

Jon Moxley vs. Rush interim World title match set for AEW Dynamite

Jon Moxley will meet Rush for the interim AEW World Championship at Fight for the Fallen this coming Wednesday.

The match was announced during Saturday’s ROH Death Before Dishonor event. Also added is a handicap match, with Tony Nese & Mark Sterling facing off against Swerve Strickland. Strickland’s tag team partner Keith Lee is barred from ringside.

At Death Before Dishonor, Rush defeated his brother Dragon Lee in a fast-paced, hard hitting match. Moxley last defended the interim championship at the July 6 edition of Dynamite, defeating Brody King.

In recent weeks, Nese’s lawyer Sterling has been looking for people to sign his petition to remove Swerve Strickland from the AEW roster, and only needs one more signature. Sterling and Nese at Fyter Fest this past week confronted rapper Kevin Gates, who was at ringside during the Swerve/Lee Tag Team title celebration and wanted him to sign the petition. He refused. The segment ended with Nese getting punched out by Gates and Swerve throwing a cake in Sterling’s face.

Here is the lineup so far for Fight for the Fallen:

  • Interim AEW World Champion Jon Moxley defends against Rush
  • AEW Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa defends against Miyu Yamashita
  • FTW Champion Ricky Starks defends against Danhausen
  • Bryan Danielson vs. Daniel Garcia
  • Swerve Strickland vs. Mark Sterling & Tony Nese (Keith Lee is banned from ringside)

Two title matches announced for AEW Dynamite Fight for the Fallen

A pair of title matches have been announced for next week’s AEW Dynamite Fight for the Fallen episode.

More matches for Dynamite will be announced on Saturday during the Ring of Honor Death Before Dishonor pay-per-view.

Night one of Fight for the Fallen will be held in Worcester, Massachusetts at the DCU Center on Wednesday, July 27. Here is the lineup to this point:

Bea Priestley to make AEW debut at Fight for the Fallen

All Elite Wrestling made a few announcements on episode five of their Road to Double or Nothing video series.

Bea Priestley is set to join AEW at the promotion’s Fight for the Fallen show in Jacksonville, Florida. That event was first announced at AEW’s Double or Nothing rally, with it being noted that a large portion of the gate will go to benefiting victims of gun violence.

Episode five of the Road to Double or Nothing revealed that Fight for the Fallen will take place in July.

Priestley is from the United Kingdom, and Stardom, World of Sport, PROGRESS, and Pro Wrestling: EVE are among the promotions she has wrestled for.

AEW also announced a partnership with KultureCity that will begin with making Double or Nothing the “first sensory-inclusive wrestling event in history.” KultureCity will provide training to staff at the MGM Grand Garden Arena and packets will be supplied with items to help those who struggle to process sensory information at large events.
