AEW Rampage spoilers from Cincinnati, Ohio: TBS title match

In a dark match that aired prior to Dynamite, Johnny TV & Aaron Solo defeated Brandon Cutler and Colt Cabana.

AEW Rampage:

  • The Lucha Bros. & The Hardys defeated Jeff Jarrett, Jay Lethal, The Butcher, and The Blade
  • The Kingdom defeated Christopher Daniels & Matt Sydal
  • The Acclaimed & Billy Gunn defeated Peter Avalon & The Outrunners.
  • Kris Statlander defeated Jade Cargill to retain the TBS Championship. After the match, both Statlander and Cargill showed respect to one another. The match was set up on last week’s Collision when Cargill made her return, attacking Statlander and holding the TBS Championship up high.

AEW will next head to State College, Pennsylvania for Collision. Next week’s Dynamite will be held at Arthur Ashe Stadium, headlined by MJF defending the AEW World Championship against Samoa Joe, who won the Grand Slam title eliminator tournament finals on Dynamite to earn a title match. Grand Slam Rampage will be taped following the live edition of Dynamite.

Impact 1000 spoilers: Returns, title change, new HOF inductee

Here are results from Saturday’s Impact 1000 tapings from White Plains, New York. The episode is airing on AXS TV this Thursday (September 14):

  • Jody Threat defeated Kylinn King
  • Masha Slamovich and Killer Kelly defeated The Death Dollz (Courtney Rush and Jessicka) to retain the Impact Knockouts Tag Team titles. Slamovich pinned Jessicka following a snow plow.
  • Alan Angels won a Ultimate X match, defeating Zachary Wentz, Rich Swann, Samuray del Sol, Speedball Mike Bailey, and Ace Austin
  • Yuya Uemura, Crazzy Steve, Chris Bey, and Moose won a Feast or Fired battle royal, all grabbing briefcases. Others involved in the match include Heath, Steve Maclin, Laredo Kid, Johnny Swinger, Joe Hendry, Jonathan Gresham, Black Taurus, PCO, Sami Callihan, John Skyler, KUSHIDA, Brian Myers, Kevin Knight, Bhupinder Gujar, Jai Vidal, and John E. Bravo. The finish had Rhyno gore Maclin, allowing Moose to grab the final briefcase.
  • Scott D’Amore came out and welcomed everyone to Impact 1000. He introduced Gail Kim, who talked about how special the Knockouts division was and showed a video. The Beautiful People came out and interrupted, saying they liked the clips of themselves but thought everyone else was ugly. Gisele Shaw, Jai Vidal, Deonna Purrazzo, Jordynne Grace, Trinity, Awesome Kong and Raisha Saeed, Tasha Steelz, and Mickie James all came out. This set up a 5 vs. 5 Team Beautiful People vs. Team Trinity match for later in the taping.
  • Rohit Raju and Champagne Singh came out. They asked which team accomplished more than they have. Team 3D then came out for the next match.
  • Team 3D defeated Desi Hit Squad after they hit the 3D on Singh. Raju was Bubba bombed through the table after the match.
  • Josh Alexander came out for a promo, saying he never lost the Impact World title. Alex Shelley came out said it’s not Josh’s title anymore. Shelley ended up challenging Alexander. The Rascalz then emerged and attacked Alexander, with Shelley walking out as The Rascalz continued to beat down Alexander.
  • Traci Brooks and Frankie Kazarian defeated Eddie Edwards and Alicia Edwards when Brooks defeated Alicia with a kryptonite crunch. After the match, it was announced that Brooks would be inducted into the Impact Hall of Fame. Brooks was in tears after the announcement, with Kazarian and Brooks celebrating in the ring with their son.
  • Chris Sabin defeated Lio Rush to win the X-Division Championship. Sabin won after hitting Rush with the cradleshock. Shelley celebrated with Sabin after the match.
  • Jake Something defeated Dirty Dango
  • Eric Young (with Scott D’Amore) defeated Kenny King (with Sheldon Jean) by DQ. It then turned into a tag match, but after Deaner and Kon hit the ring, Shark Boy came out and made the following match an eight-man tag team match.
  • America’s Most Wanted (Chris Harris and James Storm), Eric Young, and Scott D’Amore defeated Kenny King, Sheldon Jean, Big Kon, and Deaner. Young won the match with a piledriver.
  • Josh Alexander defeated Trey Miguel
  • Trinity, Awesome Kong, Gail Kim, Mickie James, and Jordynne Grace defeated Angelina Love, Tasha Steelz, Savannah Evans, Gisele Shaw, and Deonna Purrazzo in a ten woman tag team match. Kong pinned Shaw after hitting the Implant Buster.
  • Rhino and Tommy Dreamer defeated Brian Myers and Moose. Rhino won the match after hitting the gore on Myers.

AEW Rampage spoilers from Chicago

  • United Empire (Will Ospreay, Kyle Fletcher, Jeff Cobb) and Swerve Strickland defeated CHAOS (Trent Beretta, Chuck Taylor, Rocky Romero, and YOH)
  • Adam Cole came out for a promo. MJF interrupted Cole’s promo and told Tony Khan to book Cole against Tom Lawlor. Lawlor then attacked Cole, setting up a match for Forbidden Door.
  • The Acclaimed & Daddy Ass defeated unnamed opponents. Johnny Elite (John Hennigan) joined the QTV crew in attacking The Acclaimed after the match.
  • Owen Hart Foundation tournament: Skye Blue defeated Anna Jay A.S.

AEW kicks off their Canadian tour starting Saturday with Collision and Sunday with Forbidden Door in Toronto. Announced for Collision is CM Punk, FTR, and Ricky Starks vs. Jay White, Juice Robinson, and The Gunns, Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Swerve Strickland, Willow Nightingale vs. Nyla Rose in a Owen Hart Foundation tournament match, Brody King vs. Andrade el Idolo, Sting & Darby Allin will reveal their partner for Forbidden Door, and Christian Cage will address the TNT Championship.

AEW Rampage & ROH spoilers from Washington, DC: United Empire vs. CHAOS

The following are spoilers for this Friday’s AEW Rampage in Washington, DC, in addition to one dark match taped before the show.

AEW Rampage:

  • Mark Briscoe, Papa Briscoe, and Aubrey Edwards defeated Jay Lethal, Jeff Jarrett, and Karen Jarrett. The finish had Edwards submit Karen Jarrett with a figure four leglock.
  • Taya Valkyrie defeated Trish Adora
  • The United Empire (Will Ospreay, Jeff Cobb, and Kyle Fletcher) defeated Best Friends and Rocky Romero
  • Konosuke Takeshita defeated Bandido

Dark match:

  • Riho, Maki Itoh & Abadon defeated Nyla Rose, Marina Shafir & Emi Sakura. This was both the first match for Riho and Itoh in AEW since April while it was just the second AEW match for Abadon since last November.

Additionally, a match for ROH television aired, with Komander, El Hijo del Vikingo, and The Lucha BRos. vs. Serpentico, Kip Sabian, The Butcher, and The Blade.

AEW will next head to Chicago for the debut episode of AEW Collision this Saturday, featuring the return of CM Punk to the promotion. They will follow that up with more shows in Chicago next Wednesday at the Wintrust Arena for AEW Dynamite and Rampage.

AEW Rampage spoilers from San Diego

Here are spoilers for this coming Friday’s AEW Rampage, which returned to its normal time slot last week. The theme is Rampage Championship Friday, where titles are on the line in each match. Spoilers courtesy of PWInsider:

  • El Hijo del Vikingo defeated Dralistico and Komander in a three-way match to retain the AAA Mega Heavyweight title. Vikingo pinned Dralistico to retain.
  • Katsuyori Shibata defeated Lee Moriarty to retain the ROH Pure Championship. After the match, Daniel Garcia came to the ring and confronted Shibata.
  • Willow Nightingale defeated Emi Sakura to retain the NJPW Strong Women’s Championship
  • Zack Sabre Jr. defeated Action Andretti to retain the New Japan World Television title

After a pair of house shows this weekend, AEW will return with a Dynamite/Rampage taping in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Matches announced for next week’s Dynamite include Orange Cassidy defending the AEW International title against Swerve Strickland and Ricky Starks vs. Jay White in a match where Juice Robinson and FTR are banned from ringside.

WWE SmackDown spoilers from Columbia, South Carolina

Here are results from the second episode of SmackDown taped after Friday’s show in Columbia, South Carolina. WWE will be in Saudi Arabia next week ahead of Saturday’s Night of Champions event.

  • Austin Theory defeated Sheamus to retain the WWE United States Championship.
  • Raquel Rodriguez and mystery partner Shotzi defeated Damage CTRL (Bayley & IYO SKY).
  • Cameron Grimes defeated Ashante Thee Adonis. After the match, Baron Corbin attacked Grimes.
  • Bianca Belair cut a promo in the ring. Asuka’s music hit, with Asuka attacking Belair from behind. Belair eventually got the upper hand.
  • LA Knight defeated Rick Boogs. The Street Profits were on commentary. After the match, LA Knight called out The Street Profits.
  • AJ Styles defeated Karrion Kross. Mia Yim prevented Scarlett from interfering in the match.
  • The main event segment was The KO Show with Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa. The teams ended up getting into a brawl, with The Bloodline getting the upper hand. The show ended with Reigns, Solo, and Jey Uso standing tall.

  • The Hardy Boyz and Isiah Kassiday came out to do a promo when they were interrupted by The Gunns, who said they had aligned themselves with Ethan Page and wanted a match. Matt Hardy told The Gunns that he has been trying to get away from Page for months and didn’t want to deal with him anymore, but would agree to the match if he gets control of Page’s contract if they win. The Gunns agreed to the stipulation.
  • Brian Cage and Swerve Strickland defeated Alex Reynolds and John Silver

  • Aussie Open defeated The Best Friends to retain the IWGP Tag Team titles.
  • FTR were interviewed. Cash Wheeler announced that they had signed a four-year contract with the company. They said that after this contract, they would retire.
  • Jay Lethal, Jeff Jarrett, Mark Briscoe, and Satnam Singh defeated Manscout Jake Manning and The Spanish Announce Project
  • Taya Valkyrie defeated Emi Sakura. Jade Cargill and Leila Grey came out during the match. After the match, Grey entered the ring but Valkyrie laid her out with the Road to Valhalla. Cargill and Valkyrie ended up brawling but Grey attacked Valkyrie from behind. Cargill then laid out Valkyrie with Jaded.
  • Jungle Boy defeated Shawn Spears

ROH:

  • The Kingdom defeated Darius Martin and Action Andretti
  • Willow Nightingale defeated one of the Renegade Twins. Both twins attacked Nightingale after the match.

Next week’s Dynamite is set to feature Powerhouse Hobbs taking on the winner of the TNT title match at Revolution between Wardlow and champion Samoa Joe.

AEW star makes return during Rampage tapings

Keith Lee made his return to AEW on Wednesday night.

During the AEW Rampage taping that took place following Wednesday’s Dynamite, Lee came out for the save after Parker Boudreaux caused a disqualification in a match between Dustin Rhodes and Swerve Strickland. Lee had not been on television since December.

On the December 21 edition of Dynamite, Lee was attacked by Strickland’s new associates, Boudreaux and a new addition to AEW that was later identified under the name Trench. The two assisted Swerve in taking out Lee, holding a cinder block on Lee’s chest as Strickland connected with a stomp off the top turnbuckle.

Since the attack, Strickland has called his new unit Mogul Affiliates. In recent weeks, he has targeted Dustin Rhodes, insulting his brother and his father. The two ended up in a brawl on last Friday’s Rampage, with Strickland getting the better of it thanks to Boudreaux and Trench, setting up the match for this week.

  • Tony Schaivone interviewed Eddie Kingston and Ortiz. They argued, with Ortiz saying their trainer Homicide would be mad at him, calling Kingston a fake tough guy. Kingston attacked Ortiz with a steel chair and walked out.
  • Brian Cage defeated Willie Mack
  • Jade Cargill and Leila Gray defeated Jaina and Jordyn Vanity
  • Action Andretti defeated Daniel Garcia

ROH Jay Briscoe tribute show:

  • Ian Riccaboni and Caprice Coleman opened the show, talking about Jay Briscoe.
  • Wheeler Yuta defeated Hagane Shino to retain the ROH Pure Championship. Judges were Jerry Lynn, Dean Malenko, and BJ Whitmer. Yuta won via submission.
  • Adam Cole came out and talked about Jay Briscoe
  • Marina Shafir defeated Mighty Myra via submission
  • Eddie Kingston defeated QT Marshall by submission
  • ROH Women’s Champion Athena defeated Madison Rayne via submission with a crossface. After the match, Athena attacked Skye Blue at ringside, laying her out with a belt shot.
  • Yuka Sakazaki defeated Sandra Moone
  • Juice Robinson defeated Brandon Cutler
  • Claudio Castagnoli defeated Christopher Daniels to retain the ROH World Championship. Both Danielson and Castagnoli talked about Briscoe after the match.
