Liv Morgan appeared on Wednesday’s episode of Chucky on SYFY and the USA Network.
Morgan played herself on the show but was not able to make it out of the episode alive. As the show came to a conclusion, Chucky pulled out a butcher’s knife while sitting on Morgan’s lap and proceeded to stab the former SmackDown Women’s champion multiple times.
Fans have been uploading Morgan’s scenes to social media.
Earlier this year, Morgan expressed her desire to be killed by Chucky during an interview with TV Insider.
“I love Chucky. I’m also petitioning to get myself on Chucky Season 2,” Morgan said. “I tell the guys at work, ‘Can you guys help me out? We’re on the same network.’”
“I would be OK with any role, but I really want to be killed off. I want to be killed by Chucky,” she continued.
“I loved Chucky growing up. So if he kills me, that’s like, goals for me right there. I don’t even need a big part. I just want to be killed by Chucky.”
This was not Chucky’s first brush with a professional wrestler either. He was involved in a WCW segment with Rick Steiner in 1998 as well.
Tommaso Ciampa has undergone surgery to repair a hip labrum injury.
The 37-year-old posted to Instagram on Wednesday revealing the news. He noted that the injury had been causing him to experience glute, back, and sacroiliac (where the lower spine and pelvis connect) joint pain.
Ciampa hasn’t wrestled since a September 17 house show in Bakersfield, California. He hasn’t wrestled on WWE programming since the August 22 edition of Raw from Toronto. There is no timetable for his return.
“The road to recovery begins. It’s a familiar road. Almost too familiar. Special thanks to Dr Emblom and his team for taking such incredible care of me. Thanks to the WWE medical team for once again putting me back together. And thanks to my ‘nurses’ at home for always giving me perspective. It took awhile but we finally found the cause to all of that glute/SI/back pain. A hip labrum that ‘looked like shredded cheese’ according to my wife, who watched the surgery. ‘But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward.’ – Rocky Balboa And yes, Willow insisted on dressing like a pirate for our trip to Birmingham. ☠️
Billy Corgan is open to his NWA being used as a developmental program for WWE or AEW.
Corgan spoke to Metro UK recently and noted that he previously had discussions with Paul Levesque regarding the NWA airing on the WWE Network.
“It didn’t go anywhere and that was fine – very, very good discussions, very open and cool. They certainly liked what I was trying to do, and they’ve always been cool about what I was doing in the NWA, so I remain optimistic going into the future that there might be some business there to do,” Corgan said.
“There might be economic models where they say, ‘Take these 10 talent, let us have an oversight position, you help develop these talents.’ It’d be good for the NWA, it’d be good for the WWE.”
“There are lots of opportunities there! I would say the same thing even as it pertains to AEW – AEW has a tremendous amount of talent under contract, not everybody is able to be on their main shows, there might be opportunities where they wanna send those people on a developmental level.”
Corgan would continue to say that he would work with a company even if his vision of wrestling doesn’t align with theirs.
“I don’t need somebody’s wrestling vision to align with mine if we can do good business together, and at the same time I don’t need them to agree with everything I’m doing.”
“And I’m lucky in that, when you look at the main event roster in WWE, I count some of those people among my friends, and some of those people are people I’ve worked with,” he continued.
Corgan would also say that he believes WWE might be more open to the idea of working with the NWA now that Levesque has been promoted to chief content officer.
“You might see a different flexibility with WWE as far as other companies go, moving into the future. Certainly, my conversations in the past with Triple H would indicate there’s a different degree of openness than maybe there would have been in the regime that was running things before.”
CJ Perry (FKA Lana) has opened up about Miro’s run in AEW.
During an appearance on Busted Open Radio on Tuesday, Perry was asked how her husband is enjoying his time in AEW.
“I mean, he wants to be champion so he’s not going to be happy until he’s champion,” she responded. “I’m just going to leave it at that.”
Perry was then asked why she thinks AEW does not use Miro regularly on its programming.
“I have a lot of opinions about this. Tony Khan has a vision. At the end of the day, if it’s 100% real, I think there’s this illusion at AEW that the talent book the show. That was definitely the conversation, ‘Oh you go there, you’re going to basically become whatever you’re made of’ but at the end of the day, he’s booking the show.”
“It’s really no different than WWE, it’s just a different director and a different person’s point of view. It’s like comparing NBC to HBO but at the end of the day, you still have the exec who is going to make that final call and that’s what it is. Tony Khan has his favorites and he’s going to push the favorites just like Vince [McMahon] would push his favorites, just like Hunter is going to push his people. It’s show business, it’s nothing personal, it just is what it is.”
“I think my husband is incredible. I feel Vince really valued him in that way and saw that. They hit heads a lot of times towards the end on creative differences. Vince really wanted him as a villain and Miro wanted to explore this new world.”
The legendary wrestler made a surprise appearance during the NJPW Battle Autumn tour stop on Wednesday from Korakuen Hall.
During the TV title tournament match between Toru Yano and the Great-O-Khan, the lights in the building went out and Muta was standing ringside when they came back on. Muta then blew poison mist in Khan’s face, allowing Yano to roll him up and get the three count.
Speaking backstage after the event, Muta said he wants to team with Yano and Kazuchika Okada to face Khan at NJPW x Stardom Historic X-Over on November 20.
Muta’s retirement tour continues Sunday at NOAH Pro Wrestling Love Forever 3 from Tokyo’s Ariake Arena. He will team with Naomichi Marufuji and Yoshiki Inamura to face Hiroshi Tanahashi, Togi Makabe, and Tomoaki Honma.

Laredo Kid underwent emergency surgery this morning.
A message was posted to his Instagram on Monday stating that he was taken to the hospital following his match against El Hijo del Vikingo on Sunday evening. The nature of his injury or what led to him needing emergency surgery is not currently known.
“I don’t know how or where to start with this news. Unfortunately, yesterday Laredo Kid had to be taken by ambulance to the hospital at the end of the championship fight in Monterrey,” a translation of the Instagram post reads.
“Promoters/events with dates scheduled in the following months: due to the seriousness of what happened, the recovery time is not yet known, any questions or comments I will be answering msg, emails, for the moment avoid calls.”
“Thank you very much to Taurus, Roberto, Abraham, Jorge, and AAA for being on the lookout all morning, and to my closest people thanks for the support. Send your good vibes, prayers, and energy so that he gets out of this soon.”
Laredo Kid defeated Vikingo in the finals of the AAA Showcase tournament in Monterrey on Sunday. He won a triple-threat match against Toscano and Villano V Jr. earlier in the show to advance to the finals.
Kevin Nash has opened up about the death of his son, Tristen.
Tristen Nash passed away on October 19 at the age of 26. On an episode of Kliq This released on Monday, Kevin Nash spoke about the days leading up to his passing.
“This Wednesday morning my son passed,” Nash said on the show.
Nash revealed that his son suffered cardiac arrest due to a seizure.
“The seizure caused a cardiac arrest. He was basically dead in his room on the floor with an EMT working on him and they got him back, got him in the ambulance, and tried to save his life. So, to the people at Halifax Hospital, doctors and nurses, I thank you.”
“We both had decided that we were going to stop drinking. So, it was a situation where we both went cold turkey. I don’t think either of us felt great because you stop drinking coffee for a day and you get a headache. I think that we were both dealing with it but also because we’re so close to the cruise lines here, that norovirus s**t is always relevant.”
Nash was asked what precipitated him and his son to decide to quit drinking.
“He had had a couple of incidents and we actually sat up here last Wednesday and during the course of the show, he drank four or five beers, unbeknownst to me.”
Nash continued to say he “got pissed” at his son for drinking the beers because Tristen had issues with alcohol.
“He’d had this situation at the beginning of the year where he was hospitalized for almost 60 days. This is my cross to bear, it’s alcoholism.”
He would continue to say that alcoholism had taken a friend of his last year, contributed to the death of his friend, Scott Hall, and has now taken Tristen.
“It took Scott, and now it’s taken my son,” Nash continued.
“Alcohol is such a nasty drug, and it’s a drug. Anybody out there, if you haven’t drank, you’ve probably done yourself an incredible service,” Nash would say later in the show.
“I have spent half my life glamorizing the rock n roll, hard-charging, hard-drinking, drug-partying, wrestling world that I grew up in and lived in and I really need to take a step back from that and go, ‘you’re part of the problem, Nash, you glamorize a lifestyle that kills people and you’ve got to stop doing that.”
Nash would continue to talk about Tristen having a high IQ as well as Asperger’s syndrome.
“My son was autistic. My son was Asperger’s, my son was very highly educated, very high IQ but my son was autistic on top of all those things.”
“My wife and I learned so much from him because he was always exploring and investigating.”
Nash later commented on people who have reached out to him during this time including Vince Russo, Ric Flair, and Vince McMahon.
“Vince [Russo] and I talked on Twitter direct message. He was very, very kind,” Nash said.
“I got a message, it was a Connecticut number, and it wasn’t in my phone. I said it was probably somebody from the office and I started to read it and it was Vince (McMahon). He said, ‘This is my new number, you need me, I’m here.'”
Ric Flair lost his son Reid in 2013 at the age of 25 and also reached out to Nash.
“Ric [Flair] reached out to me and I reached out, I said, ‘Can you talk?’ and he said, ‘Sure’ so I went out by the pool and said, ‘how did you do it with Reid?’ And we went over it and that’s what makes this s**t work, not some therapist that is going to look at me and not be able to look past my tattooed arm or the fact that I was a mediocre wrestler.”
“Ric gave me some really good advice,” he continued.
Nash would also say that his son helped him get through the recording of this episode.
“I’ve wanted to break down this whole show, he won’t let me,” Nash continued. “He’s just like, ‘Dad, this is what we got to do.'”
“I was really looking forward to spending my golden years with my boy. I’ll find ways to try and stay connected,” Nash would say near the end of the show.

Mayu Iwatani vs. Kairi will determine the first-ever title holder. They will meet in the tournament finals at NJPW x Stardom Historic X-over on November 20 from Tokyo’s Ariake Arena.
Iwatani defeated Utami Hayashishita and Kairi defeated Jazzy Gabert in the tournament semi-finals held Sunday on the first night of the Goddesses of Stardom Tag League 2022.
This will be the sixth time the two have met in singles competition. The last came in 2017 when Iwatani defeated Kairi to win the Wonder of Stardom title. Iwatani leads their all-time head-to-head singles match series 3-2.
IWGP Women’s Championship tournament results:
Jazzy Gabert defeated Ava White (October 2) (Quarter-final)
Mayu Iwatani defeated Momo Watanabe (October 22) (Quarter-final)
NJPW president Takami Ohbari says they are doing everything they can to ensure all matches listed for November 5 in Osaka take place as advertised.
NEVER Openweight Champion Karl Anderson was scheduled to defend his title against Hikuleo on the show. Anderson was later announced for a match at WWE Crown Jewel on the same date, however.
The Good Brothers released a video last week claiming that NJPW never confirmed the November 5 date with them and said Anderson will not be defending his title at the Battle Autumn event.
Ohbari took to social media on Saturday to say they are working to ensure the match takes place, and that they expect all wrestlers to “honor their advertised commitments.”
“We are doing all we can to ensure every signed match in Osaka on November 5 happens as promised. We expect all wrestlers, especially champions, to honor their advertised commitments,” the NJPW president wrote on Twitter.
Ohbari also told Tokyo Sports in an interview last week that he is “angry” about the situation involving Anderson and the NEVER Openweight Championship.
Hikuleo directed his post-match comments on Saturday toward Anderson and the situation involving the NEVER Openweight Championship.
“You think you forgot about me? I’ve got a lot on my plate right now, but I can make time for you. What are you scared of, Karl Anderson? The second non-Japanese person to make the finals of the G1, scared of someone who’s just coming back from a learning excursion? The former multi-time IWGP Tag Team Champion, scared of someone who’s only had two title matches?”
“Listen, you want to call yourself ‘bright lights’? Don’t forget who turned on those lights for you- New Japan did. And now you want to say those lights are brighter? You want to say your lights are brighter. Well, don’t turn your back on us. Don’t forget where you came from,” Hikuleo said to Anderson.
“Karl, you want to hide from me? I’ll find you, and when I do- I’ll knock all your lights out.”
WWE is advertising a match featuring Anderson, Luke Gallows, and AJ Styles against Judgment Day’s Finn Balor, Damian Priest, and Dominik Mysterio for Crown Jewel.
Thunder Rosa said she is hopeful for a January return and a return to training in a few weeks, but is upset at still needing to address her critics while she is recovering.
Appearing on Busted Open Radio Friday, the AEW Women’s Champion addressed the current state of things and seemed to take aim at recent comments interim champion Toni Storm made about ending the “interim title nonsense” when she is “doing the work” every week.
“I am still hurt. They haven’t given me a time yet when I’m coming back. I’m saying it’s January and I hope it is January. And again, if Toni Storm disagrees with what was decided in the back, that is not my problem,” she said. “When I get better, I will still be the champion if my boss lets me be the champion. If he doesn’t, I will be okay with that decision too, because I don’t make the rules and that needs to be said.”
She added that she will get an epidural in the next two weeks so she can begin training for that January return target.
“I feel your pain, Toni Storm. I really do feel your pain. I really know and I read that you are doing all the work every single week. Guess what? I’m doing the same work. I am trying to get better to get back in the ring to defend this championship. But in the meantime, get some wins under your belt, so you can talk sh*t about Thunder Rosa.”
Rosa said that veterans in the business, and not just in AEW, “have informed me that there are widespread lies going on in different parts and I’m part of these rumors or whatever.” She said the Storm comments came as no surprise as she has been mentioned either good or bad in the media despite not being on TV for two months.
Rosa took on critics of her in-ring work:
“As a Latina, it is very hard to make a name for yourself because I’m not a second-generation wrestler. I’m self-made and I had the opportunity and I had the great, great chance to work in many different companies where they believe in my work. And sometimes, it just takes one privileged person or one person with clout to like a tweet and destroy everything you’ve done. It influences how fans see and perceive you as a wrestler.”
Rosa then addressed critics of her not being stripped of the title while she is injured.
“If you’re in the back and you are in distress about me being the champion or me being called the champion, I don’t call the shots. I have a boss and there’s a booker in our office that makes the decisions. So, if you’re distraught about what is being booked, maybe you should talk to the booker and keep my name out of your mouth,” she said.
“It is really hard when people are approaching you and they’re still asking you…because I have some friends who are still asking me if I’m faking an injury. These rumors are started by one or two people and they just spread out and it’s not fair. I don’t feel like no other wrestler has gone through this, like not at all. Somebody gets hurt, it’s like ‘Oh, they are hurt.’ But when it was me, it was like immediate. After everybody was writing ‘Get well’ on Twitter after my promo came out, it was just a flood of disgusting things that were not true that came out.”
“I am hurt and if you have something to ask, you can go on my YouTube and watch my YouTube videos,” she continued. “I have posted every time I’m in a doctor’s office, showing to you and explaining to you what’s going with me.”
“As a matter of fact, in a week or two, I’m getting another epidural so I can go back to training because I want to get back in the ring. I want to get back in the ring and that’s it. And I want to show you when they put the needle in my back so they can shut the f**k up and stop saying that I am not hurt. That hurts because I’m trying to get out and trying to get mentally prepared to get back in the ring, to get back to do what I love the most which is professional wrestling. But again there are certain people who cannot keep my name out of their mouth.”
“I want to get better mentally, physically, and spiritually. When people have absolutely nothing to do but to create rumors and spread them out instead of texting me directly – because y’all got my number – it creates a lot of problems in my career too, with my family, because my family is worried, they get harassed, they get everything else.”
Rosa spoke about not being able to raise as much money as she’d hoped for victims of the Uvalde school shooting.
“I will never forget that time that I was trying to raise money for Uvalde’s families. I was trying to raise money for 20 families that lost their kids and I don’t know who the heck decided it was a great idea to talk to the dirt sheets and talk s**t about me. And unfortunately, we’re not able to raise money like we tried to. We only raised $5000, which is nothing. They took away the goodness that we were trying to do for other purposes. Like, what is the purpose of trying to destroy somebody’s career or somebody’s status when they work so hard and the only thing that they are trying to do is to feed their family.”
The AAA Mega Champion is coming to the United States.
El Hijo del Vikingo confirmed in an interview with SI.com on Friday that he has secured a U.S work visa.
“I first need to thank my home, AAA, and my friends from Masked Republic for making my dream of traveling to the United States possible,” Vikingo says through a translator. “I know it is a great responsibility to head to a new country. It is a responsibility I will live up to and surpass.”
Vikingo is already listed for AAA’s show on December 3 from the Mullett Arena in Tempe, AZ. He recently worked an angle with members of the GCW roster as well, suggesting he could end up working for them while in the United States.
“I want to thank all my fans for their unconditional support,” Vikingo says. “I assure you that I will raise the name Cuautlancingo, Puebla and AAA throughout the world.”
While Vikingo has never wrestled in the United States, he has worked MLW and Impact shows that took place in Mexico.
Vikingo’s successful title defense against Rey Fenix at AAA Triplemania on Saturday was rated five stars by Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. It is the second time one of his matches has received the honor. A tag match between Vikingo & Laredo Kid against the Lucha Bros from Héroes Inmortales XIV last year also received a five-star rating.
WWE is considering crowning a new King and Queen of the Ring.
Our own Dave Meltzer reported in Friday’s edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, that WWE has discussed bringing back a King of the Ring PPV that would host both the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments.
“There is talk of bringing back the King of the Ring tournament with a show that would be both King of the Ring and Queen of the Ring,” Meltzer wrote.
Vince McMahon dropped the KOTR PPV after it drew weak numbers in 2002. It would return in 2015 as a WWE Network special, however.
“Today, with no need to have PPVs draw as separate buys, things like not putting on shows that didn’t draw, or having to do the shows in prime time since most of the money comes from the U.S., but now the money is guaranteed by Peacock, changes the dynamic of having the consistent 8 p.m. Eastern time start,” Meltzer continued.
In 2021, WWE’s King of the Ring and Queen’s Crown tournament finals took place at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia, with the rest of the tournament airing on episodes of Raw and SmackDown. Zelina Vega became the first wrestler to win the Queen’s Crown tournament and Xavier Woods defeated Finn Balor to be crowned King.
Tony Khan was willing to allow Billy Gunn to appear at the 25-year Anniversary of D-Generation X recently, but only if WWE would acknowledge that he worked for AEW.
Road Dogg recently commented on the situation, stating that it “broke his heart” that Gunn was not included in the special October 10 edition of WWE Raw. He also noted that at one point, Gunn was confident he would be able to be there.
Our own Dave Meltzer reported in Friday’s edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, that WWE was not willing to mention that Gunn was an AEW talent on-air in exchange for his appearance.
“Khan agreed to let him do to the show but on the air they would have to mention he’s from AEW, or that AEW allowed him to appear or some wording, but there had to be one mention that in some form he works for AEW, just as WWE already did when they got Mickie James for the Royal Rumble this past year. WWE stalled on the yes or no, and then at the last minute would not agree to it,” Meltzer wrote.
Gunn did appear at the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony in 2019 while under contract to AEW. Other AEW talent has also been permitted to appear on WWE programming in the past as well including Paul Wight, Bryan Danielson, and Chris Jericho submitting videos for John Cena’s 20-year WWE Anniversary. Jericho also appeared on an episode of The Broken Skull Sessions with Steve Austin on the WWE Network last year.
Tristen Nash, the son of WWE Hall-of-Famer Kevin Nash, has passed away.
The family released a statement to Fightful on Thursday confirming the news.
“On behalf of Kevin and Tamara Nash, I have to unfortunately report that their son Tristen Nash has tragically passed away at the age of 26. Tristen recently started working on Kevin’s new podcast and the two enjoyed their time together. The Nash family asks if you could please respect their privacy during this time.”
No cause of death has been revealed.
“My heart is in a million pieces thinking about what 1 of my best friends in life is going through. IU 4-Life Kev,” wrote Sean Waltman on Twitter.
