ROH matches taped before AEW Collision:

  • Leyla Hirsch w/Maria Kanellis & Rachael Ellering defeated Kartina Krize
  • ROH Pure Champion Wheeler Yuta defeated Jason Geiger in a Pure Rules match
    • Madison Rayne, Jimmy Jacobs, and Jerry Lynn were the judges
  • Taya Valkyrie w/ Johnny TV defeated Rachael Ellering w/Maria Kanellis & Leyla Hirsch

AEW Collision:

  • Eddie Kingston defeated Claudio Castagnoli in a Blue League Continental Classic match. Kingston won the with a roll-up. 
  • Kenny Omega defeated Ethan Page after hitting the One Winged Angel. After the match, Omega was walking to the back when he was attacked by Big Bill. Bill also attacked Page.
  • Wardlow defeated Willie Mack via ref stoppage after three powerbombs
  • Willow Nightingale defeated Mercedes Martinez w/Diamante. 

    • Willow was really over and Mercedes played the heel very well. After the match, Martinez and Diamante attacked Willow. Kris Statlander made the save. 

  • Penta El Zero Miedo and Komander defeated Angelo Parker and Matt Menard

    • Menard and Parker are from Quebec and received the pop of the night! They were the most over guys without a doubt. “Ole Ole Ole” chant at the beginning of the match. The crowd chanted “Papa Magie” which is French for “Daddy Magic” and the match received the first “This is awesome” chant of the show. Good match, everybody worked hard and well here. After the match, Menard went to get his son, Jack, out of his wife’s hands and went to the back with him. 

  • Andrade El Idolo defeated Bryan Danielson in a Blue League Continental Classic match after hitting the hammerlock DDT. 

    • The crowd was really hot. They chanted “Oui! Oui! Oui!” which means “Yes! Yes! Yes!” During the match, Andrade threw Danielson’s eye patch in the crowd. Danielson was bleeding from his orbital bone. The crowd chanted “not nice” at Andrade, but in French. Danielson was bleeding and his eye was swollen. Claudio and Yuta came to help him after the match. The doctors also took a look at him, but he seems fine. 

ROH taping after Collision:

  • Angelico w/Serpentico defeated Christopher Daniels by submission. 
    • Angelico and Serpentico attacked Daniels after the match, causing Orange Cassidy and Danhausen to come out for the save.
  • Dalton Castle & The Boys defeated The Iron Savages & JT Davidson
    • Castle got the pin on Jameson
  • ROH Women’s Champion Athena defeated Roxanne. 
    • After the match, Billie Starkz attacked Athena and laid her out at ringside.

    • Athena got her nose busted big time. She was heavily bleeding. Other than that, it was a total squash

  • Griff Garrison & Cole Karter w/Maria Kanellis defeated Bobby Sharp & Shaun Moore
  • Shane Taylor defeated Channing Decker
  • The Righteous (Dutch & Vincent) defeated Australian Takeover (Julian Ward & Kaz Jordan).
  • The Butcher & The Blade defeated The Outrunners, The Workhorsemen, and The Infantry in a four-way tag match
  • Brian Cage defeated Gravity

  • After the show, Tony Khan ran down the card for tomorrow. And Daddy Magic and Angelo Parker thanked the crowd for coming!

We are looking to bolster our WWE, NXT and Impact Wrestling live event coverage recapping team with a specific need for fill-in writers.

While we have our regular beat writers, there are times where we need fill-ins due to other commitments — sometimes on short notice.

Fill-ins will be considered for a more permanent beat if a regular writer leaves a position.

This is a compensated position, but is not full-time. If coverage is for a PPV/PLE or streaming service, any costs or access to a needed service are covered.

Requirements:

  • Past pro wrestling writing & recapping experience with links to specific work
  • An active, working knowledge of either WWE, NXT or Impact Wrestling
  • Availability to recap the events live as they happen
  • Great communication when asked if you could fill in
  • Coachable as relates to writing style, adherence to our website standards, etc.
  • The ability to do fair analysis without bias

NJPW World Tag League 2023 night 10 results, updated standings

At Saturday’s event in Osaka, Lance Archer & Alex Zayne were dealt their first loss of World Tag League 2023.

Archer & Zayne lost to Minoru Suzuki & Yuji Nagata, giving Suzuki & Nagata their first victory of the tournament. Archer & Zayne now have a 4-1 record in World Tag League.

Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI, Taichi & Yuya Uemura, and Hikuleo & El Phantasmo were victorious in the other tournament matches that took place on Saturday. Here are the full results:

ROH spoilers from Wichita, Kansas

Ring of Honor taped matches for HonorClub at the Intrust Bank Arena in Wichita, Kansas after AEW Collision on Saturday. 

Eddie Kingston successfully defended his ROH World Championship against Angelico on the show. The match was set up on the October 12 episode when Angelico confronted the champion following Kingston’s victory over Serpentico. 

After announcing his return last week, Anthony Ogogo returned to the show on Saturday. He defeated Jon Cruz in singles competition. 

A storyline has also been developing involving Leyla Hirsch and Rachael Ellering of late. This week, they factored into the ongoing angle with Athena and her minion Billie Starkz.

Ring of Honor TV taping November 4 results:

  • ROH World Champion Eddie Kingston defeated Angelico to retain his title
  • Leyla Hirsch defeated Charlette Renegade
    • For the second week in a row, Rachael Ellering came out to save Hirsch from a 2-on-1 attack by the Renegades. Hirsch once again seemed to not appreciate this and ignored Ellering after. 
  • The Iron Savages (Bronson & Boulder) defeated Cole Karter & Griff Garrison w/Maria Kanellis-Bennett
  • Anthony Ogogo defeated Jon Cruz
  • Billie Starkz w/Athena defeated Rachael Ellering
    • Athena attacked Ellering after the match and encouraged Starkz to join in. Hirsch then hit the ring and made the save for Ellering. 
  • Josh Woods defeated XK Bishop
  • The Infantry (Shawn Dean & Carlie Bravo) and Darius Martin & Action Andretti defeated The Wingmen (Peter Avalon & Ryan Nemeth) and Shane Taylor Promotions (Shane Taylor & Lee Moriarty)

  • Lucha del Dia de los Muertos match: Penta El Zero Miedo defeated El Hijo Del Vikingo & Komander

    • Penta pinned Komander after hitting Fear Factor.

  • Skye Blue defeated Marina Shafir

    • Blue pinned Shafir after hitting Code Blue.

  • Daniel Garcia defeated Trent Beretta

    • Garcia won via submission with a crossface, then cut a promo challenging MJF to an AEW World title match.

  • The Gunns (Austin Gunn & Colten Gunn) defeated Christopher Daniels & Matt Sydal

    • The Gunns continued to beat down Daniels & Sydal after the match, with Billy Gunn & The Acclaimed running in for the save.
