Shark cage stipulation added to WWE Bad Blood match

Dominik Mysterio will be suspended above the ring in a shark cage for the Women’s World title match at WWE Bad Blood.

A new stipulation was added to the Liv Morgan vs. Rhea Ripley Women’s World Championship match set for Bad Blood, as Raw GM Adam Pearce announced during Monday’s program that due to his interference in past Morgan matches, Mysterio will be placed in a hark cage for the title bout.

Five matches are official for the Bad Blood PLE, with a sixth — Gunther vs. Sami Zayn for the World Heavyweight Championship — expected to be added to the card.

Bad Blood is set for Atlanta on Saturday, October 5. The current lineup:

Darby Allin, Mariah May matches added to AEW Collision

Two new singles matches are set for the Saturday, September 21 AEW Collision episode.

Darby Allin will be in action on this week’s Collision against Dark Order’s Evil Uno in a new bout announced late Friday. The match is a tune-up for Allin who puts his guaranteed AEW World title shot on the line in a match against Jon Moxley on next Wednesday’s Dynamite Grand Slam.

Also added to Saturday’s card, Women’s World Champion Mariah May will take on Lady Frost in a non-title affair. May will also be in action at Dynamite Grand Slam, defending her title against Yuka Sakazaki.

Already announced for Collision are a Bunkhouse Brawl for the ROH Tag Team titles, plus a 10-man tag team match.

Chelsea Green vs. Michin dumpster match official for October 4 WWE SmackDown

The rivalry between Chelsea Green and Michin will reach its apex with a dumpster match on the October 4 WWE SmackDown.

After teasing the bout last week, WWE officially announced Green vs. Michin in a dumpster match for the Friday, October 4 SmackDown during this week’s episode.

Green was featured in a comedy vignette on this week’s SmackDown, with her preparation for the bout consisting of dumpster diving. The commentary team followed up with the official match announcement:

The October 4 SmackDown is the go-home show for the Bad Blood PLE set for Saturday, October 5.

Andrade vs. Carmelo Hayes series continues on next WWE SmackDown

Andrade and Carmelo Hayes will continue their series on next week’s WWE SmackDown.

The sixth bout in the ongoing series between Andrade and Hayes was officially announced for the Friday, September 27 WWE SmackDown during this week’s episode.

Andrade holds a 3-2 edge in the series after claiming the first two matches on July 19 and August 2, then the fifth bout on the September 13 SmackDown. Hayes won two in a row on August 16 and August 30 for his victories in the series.

A number one contender’s match is also set for the September 27 SmackDown.

Bayley and Naomi will go one-on-one next week to determine the number one contender to Nia Jax’s WWE Women’s Championship and will face Jax for the title at Bad Blood on October 5.

Bayley and Naomi teamed on Friday’s SmackDown in a match where the person executing the pinfall would earn the Bad Blood title shot, with both Bayley and Naomi declared the winners in a double pin over Jax. Had Bayley or Naomi taken the pinfall, they would have been forced to leave SmackDown.

Former Xia Li’s TNA debut, World title no. 1 contender’s match set for next Impact

Lei Ying Lee, formerly Xia Li in WWE, will make her TNA debut on next week’s Impact.

After weeks of vignettes, Lee’s debut was officially announced for next week’s Impact during this week’s episode.

In addition to the new wrestler debuting, several matches are set for next week’s episode, including a number one contender’s bout.

Joe Hendry will face Frankie Kazarian on the September 26 Impact, with the winner to challenge Nic Nemeth for the TNA World title at Bound for Glory.

WWE NXT will have a presence on next week’s Impact with a mystery NXT partner teaming with Jordynne Grace against Rosemary and NXT’s Wendy Choo. NXT’s Kendal Grey & Carlee Bright were featured on tis week’s Impact in a Tag Team title match against Knockouts Tag champs Jody Threat & Dani Luna.

Heather Reckless vs. Xia Brookside, Jonathan Gresham vs. Laredo Kid, plus Zachary Wentz & ABC vs. KUSHIDA, Mike Bailey & Leon Slater are also set for next week’s Impact.

Five matches are set for the Friday, September 20 AEW Rampage episode taped Wednesday night in Wilkes-Barre, PA.

The Conglomeration’s Mark Briscoe will be in action as he takes on Bryan Keith from Chris Jericho’s Learning Tree faction.

Wheeler Yuta vs. The Butcher in singles competition is also set for Friday’s show.

The lone women’s division contest on the show features Hikaru Shida taking on Harley Cameron, with Saraya in Cameron’s corner.

Roderick Strong and The Beast Mortos will team against enhancement talents Joe Keys and Marcus Mathers on the show.

A four-way bout booked for the card will feature Kip Sabian vs. Rocky Romero vs. Lio Rush vs. Nick Wayne.

Women’s World title match booked for AEW Dynamite Grand Slam

The AEW Women’s World Championship will be on the line at Grand Slam on September 25.

AEW’s Tony Khan announced in a social media post late Wednesday that Mariah May will defned her AEW Women’s title against Yuka Sakazaki at Dynamite Grand Slam set for Wednesday, September 25 at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens.

Sakazaki had her first match on Dynamite since 2021 on this week’s episode, teaming with Queen Aminata to defeat May and Serena Deeb by disqualification in tag team action. May hit Sakazaki with her title belt for the DQ to set up next week’s title defense.

The Women’s World title match was announced for the Dynamite portion of the card, as have the JOn Moxley vs. Darby Allin, Bryan Danielson vs. Nigel McGuinness, and The Young Bucks vs. Will Ospreay & Kyle Fletcher bouts. Collision Grand Slam is being taped the same night, with multiple bouts seemingly in a flex position that could take place on either show.

Two matches, two more segments booked for final WWE NXT on USA

Two matches, plus two more segments have been announced for the Tuesday, September 24 WWE NXT episode, the final NXT show on USA Network.

NXT Women’s North American Champion Kelani Jordan will defend her title against Wren Sinclair on next week’s episode. The bout was set up with a backstage confrontation on this week’s show where Sinclair slapped Jordan.

Ridge Holland vs. Riley Osborne is also set for next week’s show after Holland turned on Osborne and the rest of Chase U at No Mercy.

Grayson Waller and Austin Theory will appear on next week’s episode with The Grayson Waller Effect talk show and guests Nathan Frazer & Axiom. Frazer & Axiom defend their NXT Tag Team titles against Waller & Theory on the October 8 NXT show.

A press conference segment to promote NXT’s move to The CW network for the October 1 premiere episode is also set for next week’s show.

CM Punk announced as guest referee for WWE NXT CW premiere episode

CM Punk will be the special guest referee for the WWE NXT title match on October 1 as the show premieres on The CW.

Punk announced during Tuesday’s WWE NXT episode that he will serve as the special guest referee for the Ethan Page vs. Trick Williams NXT title bout set for the Tuesday, October 1 premiere show on The CW.

Punk was involved in multiple segments on Tuesday’s show, including taking part in an in-ring confrontation with NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez and her opponent for the CW premiere, Giulia.

Page and Williams signed the contract for their October 1 title match on Tuesday’s episode in a segment that also featured NBA star Tyrese Haliburton presiding over the signing:

Punk then entered to declare himself the guest referee.

Intercontinental title match booked for next WWE Raw

Bron Breakker will defend the Intercontinental Championship on the September 23 WWE Raw.

Breakker defending against Jey Uso for next week was announced during this week’s episode following multiple confrontations between the two over the course of Monday’s episode.

The duo first had an in-ring promo battle that ended with Uso hitting Breakker with a spear. After the show’s main event, Uso tried to run in to save Damian Priest from a beatdown at the hands of The Judgment Day, but Breakker cut Uso off with a spear of his own.

Also announced for next week’s Raw, Drew McIntyre will return to the show to respond to CM Punk’s comments on this week’s show. The two are set to square off in a Hell in a Cell match at Bad Blood on October 5.

Also set for next week, Sami Zayn will go head-to-head with Ludwig Kaiser. Zayn has repeatedly challenged Kaiser’s Imperium ally Gunther to a World Heavyweight title match, but Kaiser and Gunther have denied the request.

Roman Reigns & Cody Rhodes advertised for this week’s WWE SmackDown

Roman Reigns and Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes are being advertised for Friday’s SmackDown.

In a new promo video that aired during Monday’s Raw, the Rhodes and Reigns tandem was announced as “seeking common ground” on the Friday, September 20 SmackDown.

The detente between the former rivals began on last week’s episode when the duo agreed to team at the Bad Blood PPV/PLE against The Bloodline’s Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu.

A United States Championship match with LA Knight defending against Andrade, plus a tag team contest with Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton against Bayley and Naomi are also set for Friday’s show. The women’s tag bout also has a stipulation as outlined below.

  • Roman Reigns & Cody Rhodes seek common ground
  • WWE United States Champion LA Knight defends against Andrade

Mick Foley set for GCW Dream On appearance

WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley will appear at GCW Dream On.

The promotion announced Thursday that Foley is set to appear at the Saturday, November 23 show:

Foley is advertised for a special appearance on the card, not in a wrestling role. Foley had considered climbing back into the ring for one final death match earlier this year, but pulled the plug after suffering a concussion in training.

Foley has appeared for the promotion previously, including a 2021 appearance for Fight Club which featured a Jon Moxley vs. Nick Gage bout.

Foley is one of two WWE Hall of Famers now set for appearances at Dream On, as Kurt Angle was announced for the event earlier this week.

The Hardys vs. First Class, three more matches added to TNA Victory Road

Four new matches have been added to the Friday, September 13 TNA Victory Road lineup.

First Class’s AJ Francis & KC Navarro issued a challenge to The Hardys for Victory Road during Thursday’s TNA Impact episode, with the promotion confirming the match for Friday’s show:

In another new match for Friday’s main card, PCO & Rhino will team against Matt Cardona & Steph De Lander in an intergender mixed tag team battle.

Two new bouts are also set for Friday’s Countdown show streaming on TNA’s digital media channels.

In tag team action, Eric Young & Steve Maclin will square off with Hammerstone & Jake Something. KUSHIDA vs. Leon Slater in singles competition is also official for Countdown to Victory Road.

Kurt Angle set for first GCW appearance at Dream On

Kurt Angle is set to appear on a GCW show.

GCW has announced in a social media post that Angle has been booked for their Saturday, November 23 Dream On event.

Angle joins Ricky Morton, Matt Cardona, Mance Warner, Masha Slamovich, Effy, Gringo Loco, Sonny Kiss, and Effy among the talent announced for the November 23 event.

Angle is not expected or advertised to wrestle for the event. The WWE Hall of Famer and Olympic gold medalist has abided by the retirement stipulation attached to his “farewell match” at WrestleMania 35 in 2019 and has not wrestled since.

In January of this year, Angle revealed that he was still under contract to WWE. It is unclear whether or not that is still the case given the GCW booking.

Full lineup for Friday’s AEW Rampage

Five matches are set for the Friday, September 13 AEW Rampage taped Wednesday night in Lexington, Kentucky.

In trios action, The Conglomeration’s Orange Cassidy, Mark Briscoe, and Kyle O’Reilly will take on The Dark Order’s Evil Uno, Alex Reynolds, and John Silver.

In a women’s division tag team bout, Saraya and Harley Cameron will face Allysin Kay and Marti Belle. As The Hex, Kay and Belle held the NWA Women’s Tag Team Championship in 2021 and 2022.

Another former NWA star in Kamille will also be in action on Friday’s Rampage against Robyn Renegade.

Before teaming with Will Ospreay and Kyle Fletcher on next week’s Dynamite, Konosuke Takeshita will take on Action Andretti in singles competition on Friday’s show.

Rounding out Friday’s card, Roderick Strong will take on Beef, stylized as BEEF.
