Sidney Akeem added to TNA Rebellion Ultimate X match

This Sunday’s Ultimate X match at TNA Rebellion has its final entrant: Sidney Akeem.

The high-flyer was added on Thursday by Santino Marella. The rationale was because of how The System attacked Akeem and cost him in his open challenge of reigning X-Division Champion Moose at last Thursday’s Unbreakable. It was Akeem’s promotional debut.

He joins Moose, Matt Cardona, Vikingo, Leon Slater, and KC Navarro in the bout for Moose’s title.

Alexander becomes number one contender to Impact X-Division title

Josh Alexander is the new number one contender for the Impact X-Division championship.

He won a triple threat revolver match at tonight’s Impact No Surrender pay-per-view event to become the number one contender for the X-Division title. It was a gauntlet match where three men started and whenever someone was eliminated, another person would enter. The final three participants in the match were Trey Miguel, Ace Austin, and Alexander, with Alexander taking out Miguel, then Madman Fulton who was at ringside. He then submitted Austin for the win.

Later in the show, TJP successfully defended the  X-Division title against Rohit Raju. After the match, the announcers mentioned that the next title match would be TJP against Alexander.

Alexander had been the longtime tag team partner of Ethan Page. However, Page left Impact Wrestling in December, leaving him as a singles wrestler. Most recently, he teamed with Matt Cardona to defeat Austin & Fulton in a tag team match.
