Three titles changed hands at NXT Halloween Havoc.

Tatum Paxley defeated Jacy Jayne to win the NXT Women’s Championship. The finish came when both were knocked down. The Culling, who had been booted out of the match earlier after arguing with Fatal Influence, came back as Izzi Dame grabbed the title. She seemed as if she was going to take out Paxley, but instead struck Jayne who was going in for the rolling encore. Paxley hit her finish and pinned Jayne to win the title.

Blake Monroe defeated Zaria to win Sol Ruca’s North American title. The finish of the match had Monroe “accidently” shove Zaria into Ruca, who was supporting her friend at ringside on crutches. Monroe followed that with a double arm DDT on the mat then followed with a second when they re-entered the ring, allowing Monroe her first championship in WWE.

The match was originally scheduled to be Ruca defending her title against Monroe. However, the champion injured herself in a Women’s Tag Team Championship match on SmackDown last Friday. On this past Tuesday’s NXT, she announced she was medically unable to compete. After Monroe came out and insisted on being given the title, Zaria instead asked Ruca if she could step in and take on Monroe for her. Ruca agreed, setting up the new match.

In a Broken Rules match, DarkState regained the titles from The Hardy Boyz in a match filled with ladders and tables, a Hardy staple. The Hardyz emerged under their broken personas but it was not enough to score the win. Osiris Griffin put Matt in a tree of woe position as he and Dion Lennox gave Jeff a doomsday device off a ladder, sending him through a table and allowing themselves to win the NXT Tag Team titles for a second time.

Ricky Saints was the only champion to keep his title on Saturday, defeating Trick Williams in the main event to retain the NXT Championship.

New match, stipulation added to WWE NXT Halloween Havoc

A new match and a stipulation has been added to NXT Halloween Havoc.

Saturday’s show will now see The Hardy Boyz defend the NXT Tag Team titles against DarkState in a Broken Rules match. During a DarkState promo on Tuesday’s NXT, The Hardyz interrupted and talked about DarkState’s attack last week, walking around Matt’s estate. Senor Benjamin, Matt’s wife Rebecca, and the Hardy children were all seen as the Hardyz walked into the Lake of Reincarnation. When they emerged, they became Broken Matt and Brother Nero. Matt said that their match at Halloween Havoc would now be a Broken Rules match, meaning anything goes.

Leon Slater and Je’Von Evans on Tuesday were looking to team together at Halloween Havoc after forming a bond following their match at Bound for Glory. After Slater successfully defended the TNA X Division title against Stacks, the two issued a challenge to anyone from the main roster or NXT. AAA’s Mr. Iguana and La Parka came out instead and the two teams agreed to meet on Saturday.

There is also a change to the Women’s NXT North American title match. After Sol Ruca announced she was not medically cleared, Blake Monroe came out and demanded she be given the title. Ruca and Ava ultimately agreed that Zaria could replace Ruca in the title match.

Title match added to WWE NXT Halloween Havoc

A new title match is on tap for next Saturday’s WWE NXT Halloween Havoc PLE.

WWE revealed during Friday’s SmackDown that Blake Monroe will challenge Sol Ruca for the NXT Women’s North American Championship on the Saturday, October 25 event.

Monroe was shown in the crowd ringside on Friday’s show as Ruca and Zaria unsuccessfully challenged Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss for the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles. Monroe played into the finish of Friday’s Tag title bout as she distracted Ruca to allow Flair to attack and use the Figure Eight for the submission finish.

Five matches are now official for Halloween Havoc, all title bouts. The updated card:

New matches announced for WWE NXT Halloween Havoc

Four title matches have been announced for Halloween Havoc.

In the main event of Tuesday’s show, Tatum Paxley emerged as the winner of a battle royal to determine the new number one contender for Jacy Jayne’s NXT Women’s title. She last eliminated Jordynne Grace and friend Izzi Dame to secure the title match for the October 25 PLE.

The show ended with Lyra Valkyria coming out to celebrate with Paxley as Jayne, Fallon Henley, and newest Fatal Influence member Laney Reid looked on.

Ricky Saints opened the show and immediately called out Trick Williams, wanting a match for Halloween Havoc. Williams responded by appearing on the video screen, saying he’d do this on his time. Williams later jumped Saints backstage, causing Saints to later look for revenge. Ava calmed him down by saying they would meet next week in a contract signing to make their Halloween Havoc match official.

After weeks of feuding, El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. called out Ethan Page, who ultimately agreed to defend the North American title against Wagner. However, the AAA Latin American Champion informed Page that wouldn’t be any match, it would be a Day of the Dead match where anything goes.

As Leon Slater and Je’Von Evans were upset about their match being ruined by DarkState at Bound for Glory, The Hardy Boyz told them it was likely due to their association with one another. Matt mentioned that the stable would get a rematch at Halloween Havoc for the NXT Tag Team titles. Later, The Hardyz were also taken out backstage at the hands of DarkState.
