Ultimate X match returning for TNA: There’s No Place Like Home

One of the promotion’s signature match types is returning for Impact Wrestling’s one-night-only TNA revival.

It was announced today that an Ultimate X match will take place at TNA: There’s No Place Like Home. The participants for the match haven’t been revealed.

D’Lo Brown & Ken Anderson (representing Aces & Eights), Chris Sabin, “Wildcat” Chris Harris, Scott Steiner, Petey Williams, Amazing Red, and Disco Inferno are the wrestlers who have been announced for There’s No Place Like Home.

The Ritz Ybor City is hosting the show on Friday, April 3. It’s part of WrestleCon’s events in Tampa, Florida during WrestleMania week.

The most recent Ultimate X match took place at Impact’s United We Stand show during WrestleMania week last year. Johnny Impact won the match and went on to unsuccessfully challenge for the X-Division title in his final match for Impact Wrestling at Slammiversary XVII last July.

Ace Austin is Impact’s current X-Division Champion.

There’s No Place Like Home will also be available live via Fite TV.

Chris Sabin, Chris Harris set for Impact’s one-night-only TNA revival

A former World, X-Division, and Tag Team Champion has been added to Impact Wrestling’s one-night-only revival of the TNA brand.

Impact announced today that Chris Sabin is set for TNA: There’s No Place Like Home. The show is part of WrestleCon’s events in Tampa, Florida during WrestleMania week.

Sabin has been out of action since suffering a torn ACL in January of last year. He wrote at the time that he expected to miss 8-12 months.

Sabin is the third wrestler announced for There’s No Place Like Home. Impact confirmed D’Lo Brown and Ken Anderson for the show last week and noted that they would both be representing their former Aces & Eights stable.

There’s No Place Like Home is taking place at The Ritz Ybor City on Friday, April 3. It will also be available live via Fite TV.

Impact tweeted that they’ll be announcing names for There’s No Place Like Home at noon Eastern time and 6 p.m. Eastern time for the next couple of days.

Impact reveals first two wrestlers for one-night-only TNA revival

Impact Wrestling has confirmed the first two names for their one-night-only TNA revival.

It was announced today that D-Lo Brown and Ken Anderson are both set for TNA: There’s No Place Like Home. Impact wrote that both wrestlers will be representing their old Aces & Eights stable.

Brown works as a producer for Impact Wrestling. Anderson is featured on NWA Power and will be part of the TV title tournament at the NWA’s Hard Times pay-per-view tonight. He’s facing Tim Storm in the first round.

TNA: There’s No Place Like Home is taking place at The Ritz Ybor City in Tampa, Florida on Friday, April 3. It’s part of WrestleCon 2020.

The show will also be available live via Fite TV.

Reviving the TNA brand for one night only was first announced in a tweet by Ethan Page in October: “I remember getting ‘talked to’ for tweeting about TNA.
