KC Navarro earns TNA International Championship match

Mustafa Ali is set to defend his TNA International Championship against KC Navarro.

On Thursday, during the May 28, 2026, episode of TNA Impact, Navarro pinned reigning champion Mustafa Ali in the Champions Challenge match to earn himself a title shot.

The match featured all current champions (Mike Santana, Mustafa Ali, The System, & Cedric Alexander) against the challengers (Elijah, Leon Slater, Navarro, Frankie Kazarian, & Eric Young). The match stipulated that if a challenger were able to pin one of the champions, they would earn themselves a future title match.

The finishing moments of the match saw Leon Slater hit Ali with a superkick and tag in Navarro, who followed it up with Blessing in Disguise for the victory.

Ali won the TNA International title earlier this year in April, 2026 and has been in several title matches since then. While Navarro earned himself a title shot, a date for the match has not been finalized yet.

Mustafa Ali to defend TNA International title against mystery opponent

New title match announced for TNA International champion Mustafa Ali.

While Mustafa Ali is scheduled to defend his TNA International title on the April 30 episode of TNA Impact against Adam Brooks, he has now also been announced for another title match.

On social media, it was announced that Ali will defend his TNA International title against a mystery opponent at the May 15th TNA Impact taping in Sacramento, California. Ali also claimed that the person who accepted the challenge currently holds a major championship outside of TNA.

“I have received word that a mystery opponent has answered the International Open Challenge. He himself holds a major championship outside of TNA. Who is he?” he wrote on social media.

As of now, there are no confirmations regarding Ali’s mystery opponent for the TNA International title.

After winning the TNA International Title at TNA Rebellion, Mustafa Ali instituted an open challenge to all independent wrestlers.

TNA International title rematch set for next Impact

Earlier, on social media, TNA and AMC announced that the two wrestlers will square off against each other once more in the ring with the title on the line. Miguel will now defend his newly won International title against Stacks on the February 19th episode of Impact.

Stacks will also be accompanied to the ring by his real-life fiancée, TNA Knockouts World Champion and NXT wrestler Arianna Grace. Grace recently defeated Lei Ying Lee at No Surrender to win the title.

New International Champion crowned at TNA No Surrender

Trey Miguel defeated Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo to crown himself the new TNA International Champion.

Earlier this year, Miguel returned to TNA to compete in the Feast or Fired briefcase match. He won one of the briefcases and earned an International title shot against Lorenzo.

At TNA No Surrender, Miguel defeated Lorenzo while being accompanied by inger/songwriter Teddy Swims.

After the match, TNA President Carlos Silva awarded Miguel with the title and put it around his waist. The final moments of the segment saw Swims celebrate the title win with Miguel.

From a bumpy start in 2026 to winning a title, Miguel has experienced it all. Miguel, as a part of The Rascalz, signed a new contract with AEW. However, things soon took a turn, and he was let go from the promotion. Shortly after, he announced a break from pro-wrestling before making his return to TNA.

Steve Maclin wins International title at TNA Bound for Glory

Steve Maclin is now a two-time TNA International Champion after regaining the title at Sunday’s TNA Bound for Glory.

Maclin defeated Frankie Kazarian in the pay-per-view opener, hitting the KIA after a shoulderblock in the corner for the pinfall. He and his mother celebrated afterward, both flipping off the camera.

Maclin is also a former TNA World Champion, having held the title for 54 days in 2023.

The 38-year-old Maclin was the inaugural champion, winning the title in April’s Unbreakable in a three-way. In his tenth defense of the gold at September’s Victory Road, Kazarian ended his run but never defended the title before Sunday.

Kazarian’s night was not done, however. He entered the Call Your Shot gauntlet match and was the co-winner along with Nic Nemeth after a double pin which the live crowd didn’t like.
