John Morrison announced for GCW Gringo Loco’s The Wrld on Lucha

The former John Morrison in WWE will wrestle under the name Johnny Caballero for Gringo Loco’s The Wrld on Lucha, set for April 1st in Dallas, Texas.

Loco announced on Thursday that Hennigan will take part in the show, his first time wrestling for GCW. Drago Kid and Pagano have also been announced with matches still to come.

Morrison (John Hennigan) was released from WWE last November. He returned to pro wrestling last Saturday at AAA’s Rey de Reyes. Wrestling as John Superstar, he was defeated by El Hijo del Vikingo in a match for the AAA Mega Championship. 

Others shows that will take place under the Collective banner over WrestleMania weekend include two nights of Joey Janela’s Spring Break 8, Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport 8, For The Culture, Planet Death, JCW vs. LA Fights, Effy’s Big Gay Brunch, and more. 

GCW returns this weekend with two events from Los Angeles Friday and Saturday, respectively. Welcome to Heartbreak on Friday will feature Sean “X-Pac” Waltman’s promotional in-ring debut as he teams with Joey Janela to face Matt Cardona and Brian Myers.

GCW Planet Death set for The Collective 2022

Planet Death is returning to The Collective in 2022. 

GCW has announced the show for Thursday, March 31 at 11:59 p.m. as part of the series of events promoted at Fair Park in Dallas, Texas under The Collective banner. The show will stream live on FITE TV.

No talent or matches have been announced yet for the show. 

Planet death joins Joey Janela’s Spring Break 6 parts one and two, GCW For The Culture, Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport 8, GCW Gringo Loco’s The Wrld on Lucha, and an LA Fights vs. JCW event in the series of shows promoted under GCW’s banner at The Collective 2022. Effy’s Big Gay Brunch, plus Mission Pro Wrestling and Glory Pro Wrestling events will also take place at The Collective.

Planet Death 2021 was held at the Cuban Club in Ybor City, Florida in 2021, also as part of The Collective. That show was headlined by Alex Colon defeating Lucky 13 for the vacant GCW Ultraviolent title. 

Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport 8 set for The Collective 2022

Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport is officially returning for WrestleMania 38 week.

It was announced tonight that Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport 8 will take place on Thursday, March 31. The show, which is being held at Fair Park in Dallas, Texas, will be part of Game Changer Wrestling’s “The Collective” group of events.

The Bloodsport show will begin at 3 p.m. Central time.

GCW’s inaugural Bloodsport event was Matt Riddle’s Bloodsport in 2018. Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport then began the next year.

Last year’s WrestleMania week Bloodsport was headlined by Josh Barnett defeating Jon Moxley. Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport 7 then took place last October, with Minoru Suzuki defeating Chris Dickinson in the main event.

The Collective 2022 is being held from March 31 through April 2. Joey Janela’s Spring Break 6, For The Culture, Effy’s Big Gay Brunch, and Gringo Loco’s The Wrld on Lucha have also been announced for The Collective, along with shows from Mission Pro Wrestling and Glory Pro Wrestling.
