A Tag Team Turmoil match was the focus of last night’s episode of Raw.

The match featured eight teams and took place during two different portions of last night’s show. The New Day’s Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods kicked off the match by defeating The Viking Raiders, Jinder Mahal & Veer, Lucha House Party, and Mace & T-Bar. But Mace & T-Bar laid out Kingston & Woods and then Mustafa Ali & Mansoor when Mansoor insisted on making the save.

Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville declared that the match would continue later in the show after Kingston & Woods and Ali & Mansoor got some time to heal up. Kingston & Woods defeated Ali & Mansoor before then being eliminated by AJ Styles & Omos.

But it was Bobby Lashley & MVP who got the win. Lashley & MVP will challenge for RK-Bro’s Raw Tag Team titles next Monday.

Omos gave Lashley a tree slam after the Tag Team Turmoil match. Randy Orton then capitalized on that by laying out Lashley with an RKO.

It was announced last night that Lashley will defend his WWE Championship against Orton at Extreme Rules on Sunday, September 26. Lashley then went to Pearce and Deville to get them to add Lashley & MVP to the Tag Team Turmoil match.

It was also announced last night that Charlotte Flair vs. Alexa Bliss for the Raw Women’s Championship and Damian Priest vs. Sheamus for the United States Championship will take place at Extreme Rules.

Tag Team Turmoil match added to WWE WrestleMania 37 night one

A Tag Team Turmoil match has been announced for WrestleMania 37 on April 10, with the winners facing the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions the following day on April 11.

It was announced on tonight’s Raw that Lana & Naomi, Dana Brooke & Mandy Rose, The Riott Squad (Ruby Riott and Liv Morgan), and Tamina and Natalya will compete in a Tag Team Turmoil match. The winners of that match on Saturday will advance to the second night of WrestleMania, where they will face WWE Women’s Tag Team champions Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax for the titles.

Jax and Baszler appeared on tonight’s show, defeating Asuka and Rhea Ripley after Ripley abandoned her tag team partner. After the match, the champions were confronted backstage by all of the aforementioned teams.

The team of Billie Kay and Carmella was also brought up as possibly taking part in the match. Jax asked Kay if she even had a partner for the match. Kay mentioned that Carmella was looking at her resume, which she gave to Carmella this past Friday.
