Sami Zayn’s war against The Bloodline will continue on SmackDown tonight.
WWE has announced that Zayn vs. Solo Sikoa will take place on tonight’s episode of SmackDown. The show is being held at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.
Last week’s SmackDown ended with Zayn laying out Jimmy Uso with a Helluva Kick and then bailing when Sikoa ran out to provide backup for Jimmy. Jey Uso remained conflicted as he watched on from the crowd.
After not appearing on SmackDown last Friday, Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns will be back on the show tonight. Cody Rhodes will also be appearing on SmackDown. Reigns and Rhodes’ paths will cross for the first time since it was confirmed that Rhodes will be challenging Reigns at WrestleMania 39.
The updated card for tonight’s SmackDown is listed below:
Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes will appear
Kevin Owens managed to survive last night’s SmackDown and make it to his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship match against Roman Reigns at the Royal Rumble.
On the eve of the Rumble, Owens was in action against Solo Sikoa in last night’s main event. Owens had the match won, but Sami Zayn saved Sikoa by pulling him out of the ring. The match ended in a no contest. Sikoa tried to take out Owens after, but Owens was able to fight him off. Owens gave Sikoa a pop-up powerbomb onto the announce table and then attacked him with a steel chair.
Zayn wasn’t supposed to be at SmackDown last night. He ignored Reigns’ orders and showed up to thank Jey Uso for coming to his defense in Monday’s Trial of Sami Zayn. Later in the night, Adam Pearce sent The Usos home for brawling with Owens. Jey called in a favor by asking Zayn to come back to SmackDown and help deal with Owens.
Also on last night’s show, Brock Lesnar declared for the Royal Rumble, LA Knight mocked Bray Wyatt, and the semifinals in the SmackDown Tag Team title contender’s tournament took place.
On the eve of the Royal Rumble, Kevin Owens will face off with the enforcer of The Bloodline.
WWE has announced that Owens vs. Solo Sikoa will take place on SmackDown next Friday (January 27). The match is happening one night before Owens challenges Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble.
A contract signing for Reigns and Owens’ title match headlined last night’s SmackDown. As Reigns was waiting for Owens to appear, Owens launched a sneak attack on him. Owens gave Reigns a stunner and powerbombed him through a table. Owens also fought off Sikoa and The Usos during the attack.
There’s been growing dissension between The Bloodline and Sami Zayn in recent weeks. Zayn arrived late to help save Reigns from Owens’ attack last night. Zayn and had a staredown with Owens and went to go after him, but Owens ran off through the crowd.
Next Friday’s SmackDown is being held at Sames Auto Arena in Laredo, Texas. Here’s what’s been announced for the episode:
Kevin Owens vs. Solo Sikoa
Rey Mysterio vs. Karrion Kross
SmackDown Tag Team title contender’s tournament semifinal match: Drew McIntyre & Sheamus vs. Hit Row (Top Dolla & Ashante “Thee” Adonis)
SmackDown Tag Team title contender’s tournament semifinal match: Legado Del Fantasma (Cruz Del Toro & Joaquin Wilde) vs. Imperium (Ludwig Kaiser & Giovanni Vinci)
Solo Sikoa vs. Mustafa Ali is now scheduled to take place on tonight’s show.
On Monday afternoon, WWE posted a video of Ali arriving at the arena and being asked about his upcoming match. Ali said:
A few weeks ago, the Bloodline came in here and they dropped everybody, right? And everybody got a chance to fight back, everybody except me. So tonight I’m changing that. Tonight, I’m taking on Solo. Tonight, I’m getting payback and more importantly, tonight I’m fighting back.
This will be Ali’s first match on Raw since the December 5, 2022, edition of the show. He lost via DQ to Austin Theory in a United States Championship match that night after interference from Dolph Ziggler.
Tonight’s WWE Raw takes place from the Heritage Bank Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. Two matches and one segment have been announced for the show.
Hey there! It’s an earlier Friday night post stream! I will be here to talk about WWE SmackDown and also go over my event experience from what I was able to watch on AEW Rampage! Tune in for a good time and some wrestling conversation!
One day after the 13th anniversary of his passing, The Bloodline paid tribute to Umaga on WWE Raw.
Solo Sikoa honored his late uncle by using Umaga’s Samoan Spike on Raw last night. There was an angle on the episode where Matt Riddle was stretchered out after being attacked by Sikoa. The attack included Sikoa hitting the Samoan Spike, Umaga’s running hip attack into the corner, and then another running hip attack while Riddle had a steel chair wrapped around his head.
Sikoa tweeted about the Umaga tribute: “They’ll always remember you. #Enforcer”
Before Sikoa’s attack, Riddle & Kevin Owens challenged The Usos for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team titles on Raw. The match was originally supposed to be The Usos vs. Riddle & Elias, but The Bloodline laid out Elias before the show went on the air.
The Usos retained their Undisputed WWE Tag Team titles against Riddle & Owens after hitting the 1-D on Riddle. Riddle was distracted by Sami Zayn leading into the finish. Owens ran off The Usos and Zayn when they tried to attack Riddle after the match, but Riddle was then left alone with Sikoa.
Umaga (Eddie Fatu) died of a heart attack on December 4, 2009. He was 36 years old.
A new match has been added to the card for tonight’s edition of SmackDown.
WWE announced this afternoon that Sheamus vs. Solo Sikoa will take place on SmackDown tonight. Both Sheamus and Sikoa were part of a fatal four-way match last Friday to determine the next challenger for Gunther’s Intercontinental title.
Rey Mysterio won last week’s number one contender’s bout. There was a moment during the match where Jey Uso and Sami Zayn interfered as Sheamus had Sikoa in a cloverleaf. When Uso and Zayn started beating down Sheamus on the outside, Ridge Holland and Butch ran down to make the save. The brawl left Mysterio and Ricochet alone in the ring, and Mysterio hit a 619 and frog splash to get the victory.
The Huntington Center in Toledo, Ohio is hosting tonight’s SmackDown. The updated lineup for the episode is listed below:
Logan Paul appears
Liv Morgan vs. Sonya Deville
WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Damage CTRL (Dakota Kai & IYO SKY) defend against Raquel Rodriguez & Shotzi
Solo Sikoa says he wasn’t close with Roman Reigns growing up but the two are starting to form a relationship.
Sikoa’s WWE main roster debut took place at Clash at the Castle, as he helped his cousin retain the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Drew Mcintyre. The 29-year-old was asked about his main roster call-up during a recent appearance on Cheap Heat.
“It was out of the blue, man. You know, I got the call and this is what we want to do, this is how we want to bring you in but I would never expect it this way, in front of 60,000 people. It was crazy, I’m still mind blown.”
Sikoa continued to talk about having fun wrestling at the highest level along with his family and Sami Zayn.
“I’m on the highest and biggest stage of them all and especially where my family’s at in the business, on top of the mountain with big uce Roman Reigns, I’m having a lot of fun and I’m doing it with blood, so it doesn’t get any better than that. And when I talk about blood, I also mean Sami Zayn too because he’s an honorary uce and everything.”
He also spoke about growing up with WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi as his father.
“I was on the road with him more than I was in school,” Sikoa said. “That’s all I can remember as early days, you know, with him being in the business, I was always backstage with him. I met all the guys growing up, I met Taker, Triple H, Rock, Stone Cold, Lesnar, you name it.”
Sikoa was also asked about “The Honorary Uce” Sami Zayn and what he has brought to the Bloodline on WWE programming.
“Sami’s like that little brother where you know he’s the loud brother and he’s dancing all over the place but when he bumps into trouble, he runs back to his older brothers for help.”
“[Sami] is one of those characters where it’s very one in a million to have around and he’s in the Bloodline so he doesn’t get no better than that.”
“Sami is one of those guys where he’s a student of the game, like really knows his stuff and when he talks to me man, I’m all eyes and ears.”
Sikoa was asked about his relationship with Reigns growing up and noted that they weren’t close due to their age difference.
“Seeing Roman at Cardiff, I haven’t seen him for like over 20 years. We really weren’t close but he was always around our house playing with my brothers because they were the same ages and I was way younger than them but he was over, he was always around our house.”
“But now coming into the business, I’m starting to get close with him even though the age gap is there, I’m really starting to get closer,” Sikoa continued. “I mean, it’s big uce Roman Reigns, you know what I’m saying? He’s been running this game for awhile now. So, I’m starting to form that relationship with him.”
Sami Zayn says he’s heading to Raw following a tweet by AJ Styles.
On Saturday afternoon, AJ Styles tweeted “Man, people will do anything for a T-shirt these days,” based on Zayn being given an honorary uce t-shirt on Friday’s SmackDown by Roman Reigns. Zayn responded by saying he was going to Raw this Monday with Solo Sikoa.
“Roman Reigns GIFTED me the HONORARY UCE T-shirt (now available at @WWEShop & selling like crazy, from what I hear),” Zayn replied. “Disrespect the shirt = disrespect The Bloodline. Might just come to Raw on Monday to sort this out. Oh, and I don’t travel alone. Pack your bags uce. @WWESoloSikoa.”
SmackDown on Friday opened with Reigns asking Sikoa to acknowledge him. Sikoa did, and the Bloodline hugged to end the segment. However, Zayn interrupted by saying he acknowledged Reigns as well. Reigns told Zayn to take off the Bloodline shirt, with Jey Uso eventually ripping the shirt off of Zayn’s chest. However, Reigns said he wanted that shirt off because he got Zayn a new shirt, one that signified Zayn as an honorary uce.
Here is everything announced so far for Monday’s Raw:
Bianca Belair vs. IYO SKY
Rey Mysterio vs. Seth Rollins
Kevin Owens & Johnny Gargano vs. Alpha Academy (Chad Gable & Otis)

Tonight’s episode featured the NXT North American title being vacated, the return of Ilja Dragunov, and a banger main event between Tyler Bate and JD McDonagh!
The NXT North American Championship has been vacated, and a new champion will be crowned in a ladder match at Halloween Havoc.
Tuesday’s show opened with Solo Sikoa and Carmelo Hayes appearing in Shawn Micheals’ office. Michaels said that although Sikoa won the title, he was not a choice in the fan voting and was not a potential opponent, and therefore had to vacate the title. Sikoa relinquished the title. However, when Hayes asked for the title back, Micheals rejected him, saying that Hayes had “played the system” and got burned as a result. Micheals then made a match “in six weeks” at Halloween Havoc, where Hayes will face four other people in a ladder match to determine the new champion.
Micheals additionally said qualifying matches will take place over the next few weeks on NXT to determine who will enter the ladder match.
Sikoa, who made his main roster debut at Clash at the Castle earlier this month, made a surprise appearance on last week’s NXT, challenging Hayes after Hayes and Trick Williams laid out his original opponent, Wes Lee. An impromptu match was held, with Sikoa picking up the win. On last Friday’s SmackDown, Sikoa defended the title successfully against Madcap Moss.
It was reported back on August 31 that a Halloween Havoc Saturday event was being planned for October 22.
NXT 2.0’s one-year anniversary show ended with the revelation that a new era is about to begin.
A video that was narrated by Shawn Michaels aired as last night’s NXT went off the air. Michaels said NXT has been and always will be about developing the superstars of tomorrow. Though they will always acknowledge the past, NXT is constantly evolving with a focus on the future. Michaels said wrestlers develop and move on, but NXT’s message to the fans will never change: “We are NXT.”
A new logo for NXT was then unveiled. The NXT 2.0 logo changed into one that more resembled the “Black and Gold” era of NXT. The new logo has a gold, white, and black color scheme — and the “2.0” branding has been dropped.
Before the reveal, a surprising title change took place in last night’s main event. Wes Lee won a fan vote to earn the right to challenge for Carmelo Hayes’ North American Championship, but Lee couldn’t compete after being attacked by Hayes and Trick Williams backstage. Solo Sikoa — who was recently called up to the WWE main roster — instead faced Hayes and defeated him to win the North American title.
Sikoa becoming North American Champion adds even more gold to The Bloodline. Roman Reigns and The Usos are also currently champions.
