Pro Wrestling EVE announces Kay Lee Ray’s next match

Shortly after Kay Lee Ray returned to Pro Wrestling EVE, the British promotion has revealed that the former Alba Fyre will be in action at their next show.

EVE announced on social media that Ray would be facing Rhio at Beers, Brawls, and Burlesque on July 3. The match will have championship stakes: the winner will be the top contender for the EVE International Championship, currently held by Miyu Yamashita.

Rhio goes into that match off a win: she defeated Aliss Ink at EVE 150, the same show where Ray made her return.

According to Cagematch, Ray and Rhio have shared a ring just once before: in June of 2019, Ray won a battle royal in NXT UK. Rhio was one of the other participants in that match.

Also announced for the show: AEW’s Skye Blue, who will be facing Emersyn Jane in singles action. It will be Blue’s first appearance in EVE since last August, when she teamed with Julia Hart to go to a time-limit draw against Millie McKenzie & Safire Reed.

Beers, Brawls, and Burlesque takes place July 3 at the Big Penny Social in London, England. Tickets are available here

Mercedes Mone set for RevPro title defense

Mercedes Mone’s upcoming trip to the United Kingdom will include an Undisputed British Women’s Championship defense.

Revolution Pro Wrestling announced today that Mone will defend the promotion’s Women’s title against UK indie star Rhio in Cardiff, Wales on Sunday, December 14. The match is part of the card for RevPro’s Uprising 2025 event that’s being held at Vale Arena in Cardiff.

This title defense for Mone is happening one day after Utilita Arena in Cardiff hosts the Winter is Coming episode of AEW Collision. Along with that date, AEW will hold a Dynamite episode and Collision taping in Manchester, England on December 17.

The Undisputed British Women’s Championship was one of the first titles that Mone added to her now-expansive belt collection. She defeated Mina Shirakawa for the title in January 2025 and has made defenses against Kanji, Safire Reed, and Emersyn Jayne.

Mone’s AEW TBS Championship is the crown jewel of her collection, which currently stands at 13 belts:

  • AEW TBS Championship
  • AEW Owen Hart Cup Championship (ceremonial)
  • ROH Women’s TV Championship
  • CMLL Women’s World Championship (Mexico)
  • RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Championship (United Kingdom)
  • Queen of Southside Championship (inactive, unified with RevPro title)
  • EWA Women’s Championship (Austria)
  • Bestya Wrestling Women’s Championship (Italy)
  • Prime Time Wrestling Women’s Championship (Poland)
  • Discovery Wrestling Women’s Championship (Scotland)
  • Bodyslam Women’s Championship (Denmark)
  • Winnipeg Pro Women’s Championship (Canada)
  • APAC Women’s Championship (Malaysia)

So far, the AEW Women’s World Championship is the one title that has eluded Mone. She came up short when she challenged Kris Statlander for the belt at Full Gear on November 22.

Mone has another title defense coming up this Friday when she puts her ROH Women’s TV Championship on the line against Red Velvet at Final Battle.

Jamie Hayter’s in-ring return match announced

After getting injured during this month’s first-ever women’s Blood and Guts match, former AEW Women’s World Champion Jamie Hayter has her in-ring return date set — but not for AEW.

Hayter will be returning to familiar grounds with London’s Pro Wrestling EVE promotion as she will team with Session Moth Marina to take on EVE Champion RHIO and Alexxis Falcon. The date was announced earlier this week with the match itself official Sunday.

The show entitled Let’s Slam Santa is set for Friday, December 5 in Walthamstow, London.

AEW has two dates before the EVE event: this Wednesday’s dual Dynamite/Collision taping in Nashville, Tennessee, and the following Wednesday’s Dynamite in Fishers, Indiana. That leaves the possibility open she will compete in AEW prior to the EVE booking.

In the aforementioned Blood and Guts match, Hayter took a chair shot throw from Megan Bayne which was reported to have chipped some teeth and “messed” Hayter’s face up according to our Bryan Alvarez.

Hayter hasn’t been on TV since and wasn’t part of this past week’s push to Full Gear or the pay-per-view itself.

PROGRESS reveals opponent for Meiko Satomura retirement tour match

Meiko Satomura has an opponent for her return to PROGRESS Wrestling next month.

On her retirement tour, Satomura will return to the United Kingdom to compete for PROGRESS on Sunday, February 23. It was announced today that UK indie star Rhio will be Satomura’s opponent. Both Satomura and Rhio are former PROGRESS Women’s Champions.

The February 23 event is titled My Own Destiny and is taking place from the Electric Ballroom in London.

Rhio — who is from Preston, England — is a former ICW Women’s Champion.

The legendary Satomura is wrapping up her career with her final match set to take place on April 29. She had her first match in 1995 and is now retiring just over 30 years since making her debut. Satomura runs the Sendai Girls promotion in Japan and will be having her retirement match for them.

Satomura appeared as an attraction on the UK indies during the latter stages of her career. Her reign as PROGRESS Women’s Champion lasted for three months in 2019. She later was part of the NXT UK roster as a wrestler and coach.
