PWG Nineteen results: Daniel Garcia vs. Konosuke Takeshita

Here are results from tonight’s PWG Nineteen, held at the Globe Theater in Los Angeles:

  • Shane Haste defeated Titus Alexander
  • Yuka Sakazaki defeated Masha Slamovich. This was the first women’s match in PWG in ten years.
  • Davey Richards defeated Kevin Blackwood via submission.
  • Speedball Mike Bailey defeated Buddy Matthews. During the course of the match, Matthews used paper to give papercuts to Bailey.
  • Kings of the Black Throne (Brody King and Malakai Black) defeated Aussie Open (Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis) to retain the PWG Tag Team titles
  • Daniel Garcia defeated Konosuke Takeshita by submission to retain the PWG World Championship. This follows a challenge issued by Takeshita at the end of the previous PWG event, where Garcia defeated Bandido to win the PWG World Championship.

Tonight’s Nineteen event is PWG’s fourth show of 2022. Delivering the Goods took place back on May 1, and the 2022 Battle of Los Angeles took place on January 29 and 30, the first Battle of Los Angeles tournament since 2019.

PWG announces change to Nineteen card

PWG has announced a change to the July 3 Nineteen event. 

In a tweet on Monday, the promotion announced that Aramis will not be able to compete at the Nineteen show. He had been scheduled to face Shane Haste at the show. Instead, Haste will face the debuting Titus Alexander. 

A total of seven matches have been announced for the July 3 show, including the first women’s singles match in the promotion since 2010, with Yuka Sakazaki taking on Masha Slamovich. 

The PWG Championship will also be on the line, as Daniel Garcia defends against Konosuke Takeshita.

PWG announces card for July 3 Nineteen event

PWG has announced their lineup for their next show, Nineteen.

The company announced tonight that Nineteen will take place on July 3 at the Globe Theater in Los Angeles, California. Tickets will go on sale on PWG’s website on June 6 at 8 pm PDT.

Konosuke Takeshita will face Daniel Garcia in a match for the PWG World Championship. At PWG’s last show, Delivering the Goods, Garcia pinned Bandido to win the championship. Takeshita came out after the match and challenged Garcia, who accepted. Aussie Open (Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis), meanwhile, will challenge current Tag Team Champions Kings of the Black Throne (Malakai Black and Brody King).

A women’s match was also announced in the undercard. Tokyo Joshi Pro star Yuka Sakazaki, who has also made appearances in AEW, will face Impact’s Masha Slamovich.
