WWE NXT reveals year-end award winners, Joe Hendry appears via video

This year’s NXT Year-End Awards have been revealed.

Awards handed out on Tuesday’s show include Nathan Frazer & Axiom winning Tag Team of the Year, Dijak vs. Josh Briggs vs. Oba Femi from Stand & Deliver winning Match of the Year, Joe Hendry making his debut winning Moment of the Year, Stand & Deliver winning PLE of the Year, and Roxanne Perez winning Female Superstar of the Year.

In the final segment of the show, it wasn’t made clear who won Male Superstar of the Year as Oba Femi interrupted. As Trick Williams came out to confront him, Eddy Thrope attacked Femi from behind, who bumped into Williams. Thorpe then smashed the trophy into Femi’s head to end the show, holding the NXT Championship up high.

Hendry appeared via video on Tuesday’s show thanking fans for making his surprise debut the Moment of the year. He ended the promo by reminding people that saying his name means anywhere, any time, any show.

As part of a working relationship with TNA, Hendry made a surprise appearance in a battle royal to determine a new number one contender for the NXT title back in June. However, he was quickly eliminated. He made more appearances in July, August, and September before losing a match to Ethan Page at NXT No Mercy.
