Report: WWE NXT to resume touring in June

WWE NXT will return to touring for the first time in over two years, according to a report.

POST Wrestling has confirmed that NXT will return to the road with house shows in Florida in June. Their report states that sources within WWE have confirmed that the events will be held in Florida, with no current plans to tour outside the state.

Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter last June that NXT talent had been told that there were plans to resume touring in July 2021, but POST reports that this year there is a schedule in place.

NXT’s last house shows were held in March 2020. The COVID-19 pandemic forced the cancellation of NXT live events later that month, and the brand has yet to resume touring.

Known as the “Coconut Loop,” the NXT brand regularly toured Florida prior to the pandemic, providing an opportunity for talent deemed not ready for NXT television to gain experience wrestling in front of live audiences.
