Jay White open challenge to headline NJPW Strong

NJPW has announced the full card for this Saturday’s NJPW Strong. The show will continue The New Beginning USA series of episodes.

In the main event, Jay White’s US of Jay open challenge series continues. White will take on an AEW talent. In the first match of the series, White defeated Christopher Daniels at Strong: Nemesis.

Also announced, Fred Rosser will go head-to-head with Gabriel Kidd.

In Saturday’s opener, Defy Wrestling regulars Midnight Heat (Ricky Gibson & Eddie Pearl) will face Kevin Knight and The DKC.

The New Beginning USA episodes of Strong were taped on January 15 in Seattle, Washington. Saturday’s show will also be available on demand immediately following airing.

Josh Barnett vs. Ren Narita set for NJPW Strong

NJPW has announced the full card for this Saturday’s NJPW Strong. The show will continue The New Beginning USA series of episodes.

Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Josh Barnett will be in action, taking on Ren Narita. Barnett made his return to NJPW after 17 years in 2021, defeating Alex Coughlin in his first match back with the company.

Also announced, Juice Robinson and David Finlay will face JONAH and Bad Dude Tito.

In Saturday’s opener, Bullet Club’s Hikuleo will face Cody Chhun.

NJPW New Beginning USA Tampa results: The tour begins

NJPW kicked off their latest tour in the United States with a show tonight in Tampa, Florida. The main event was an eight man elimination match featuring Hiroshi Tanahashi against members of the Bullet Club. Here are some quick results:

Misterioso defeated Clark Connors

– Misterioso pinned Connors with a back cracker.

Yuji Nagata & Satoshi Kojima defeated Alex Coughlin & Ren Narita

– Nagata pinned Coughlin with a backdrop hold.

Colt Cabana & Toru Yano defeated TJP & Karl Fredericks

– Cabana pinned Fredericks with the Superman pin.

Jeff Cobb defeated Alex Zayne

– Cobb pinned Zayne with the tour of the islands.

Lance Archer defeated YOSHI-HASHI

Archer pinned YOSHI-HASHI with the EBD claw.

Hiroshi Tanahashi, Rocky Romero, David Finlay and Juice Robinson defeated Chase Owens, Yujiro Takahashi, Tanga Loa and Tama Tonga

Tanahashi pinned Takahashi with the high fly flow. Tanahashi was the last person remaining for his team.

After the match, Tanahashi promised that he would be at the Lion’s Break Project 3 event in April, which will also be in Tampa. He also said he would defeat Naito to become the double champion.
