Bullet Club vs. The World set for Impact x NJPW Multiverse United 2

It will be Bullet Club vs. The World at Impact Wrestling x NJPW Multiverse United 2.

A 12-man tag match is the latest addition to the Multiverse United card. It will pit the Bullet Club team of David Finlay, Clark Connors, Alex Coughlin, KENTA, Chris Bey & Ace Austin against Josh Alexander, PCO, Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa, El Phantasmo & The DKC.

The co-branded Multiverse United show is being held at Philadelphia’s 2300 Arena on Sunday, August 20. Impact and NJPW also joined forces for a Multiverse event in Los Angeles this March.

Multiverse United will be available live via Fite TV. Here’s the updated card for the show:

  • Lio Rush & Trey Miguel vs. Hiromu Takahashi & Mike Bailey
  • DOUKI vs. Sami Callihan

Minoru Suzuki vs. KENTA set for Impact x NJPW Multiverse United

Minoru Suzuki will make his return to Impact Wrestling against KENTA as part of this month’s Multiverse United.

Suzuki debuted for Impact in late-October 2021, culminating in a match with Josh Alexander. KENTA debuted for Impact in a Bullet Club trios match at last month’s No Surrender and was also part of their subsequent TV tapings.

The show is set for Thursday, March 30th in Los Angeles, California, and is a co-branded PPV with New Japan Strong, NJPW’s U.S. arm.

The Impact X-Division title will be also on the line in a six-way scramble match.

Also announced Thursday, the match will include current champion Trey Miguel, Rich Swann, Kevin Knight, Frankie Kazarian, Clark Connors and Rocky Romero.

Miguel may not make it to the PPV as champion as he will defend against a challenger of Santino Marella’s choosing at Sacrifice on Friday, March 24th.

Impact & NJPW announce Multiverse United event, three matches set

Impact Wrestling and New Japan Pro Wrestling are teaming up for a joint pay-per-view. 

The promotions revealed on Thursday that Multiverse United: Only The STRONG Survive will take place at the Globe Theater on Thursday, March 30, 2023. It will air live on FITE TV. 

Josh Alexander vs. KUSHIDA, Jeff Cobb vs. Moose, and “Speedball” Mike Bailey vs. Will Ospreay have been announced for the show. 

“Will Ospreay is the best professional wrestler in the world, after me,” Bailey said of his match. “So, this will be the best professional wrestling match of the year.”

KENTA, Rocky Romero, Minoru Suzuki, Clark Connors, Kevin Knight, Fred Rosser, Trey Miguel, Ace Austin, and Chris Bey are advertised to appear as well. The Impact Knockouts division will also take part in the show. 

“We are very excited for this unique collaborative event that brings together two of the best wrestling companies in the world,” said IMPACT Wrestling executive vice-president Scott D’Amore. “Since NJPW returned to AXS TV just over a year ago, we have been looking at ways to expand our working relationship between the two brands. Multiverse United on March 30th at the Globe Theatre in Los Angeles is the first of many exciting collaborations between IMPACT and NJPW.”
