TNA Wrestling and Endeavor Streaming are partnering together for a relaunch of the promotion’s TNA+ subscription service.
It was announced today that TNA Wrestling and Endeavor Streaming have reached a multi-year deal for Endeavor Streaming to power the TNA+ app. It launches on Friday, January 5.
TNA touted that the app is relaunching with a new dynamic look, along with expanded options and increased functionality. There will be two price tiers for the service. The “Special Attraction” tier is priced at $9.99 per month or $95.99 per year and includes access to the full TNA/Impact Wrestling library and every TNA+ special event. The “World Championship” tier is priced at $219.99 per year and includes those benefits as well as TNA’s four major annual pay-per-views.
Impact Plus was previously priced at $7.99 per month or $71.99 per year. There was only one tier available that didn’t include PPVs.
In addition to reclaiming the iconic TNA moniker, the TNA+ app is relaunching with an all-new dynamic look, as well as expanded options and increased functionality. The app puts the power back in the fans’ hands, delivering the ultimate premium experience where they can stream the company’s flagship weekly TV show and tune into exciting pay-per-view events, view TNA’s full archive, get exclusive original content and wrestler-created series, and even have the chance to interact with some of TNA’s top stars.
TNA+ will be available at TNAWrestling.com, via iOS, tvOS and Android mobile apps, as well as big screen devices such as Android TV, Fire TV and Roku, with more platforms to follow. Subscribers will have the choice of a ‘Special Attraction’ membership tier that features access to the full TNA/IMPACT Wrestling library and all TNA+ special PPV programming other than the 4-tent pole annual events offered at a price of $9.99 monthly or $95.99 per year, and a ‘World Championship’ membership tier that includes all the perks of the Special Attraction tier, plus the 4-tent pole PPV events, offered at a price of $219.99 per year. Further details and subscription information for the new service can be found at TNAwrestling.com.
Impact Wrestling is rebranding back to TNA starting in January 2024. The name change officially goes into effect starting with the promotion’s Hard to Kill PPV on Saturday, January 13.
“This is truly an incredible opportunity for us as we forge into an exciting new chapter of the TNA legacy,” TNA President Scott D’Amore said in a press release. “We are proud to partner with Endeavor Streaming on this initiative, and we look forward to continuing to provide our fans with the absolute best in new, classic and exclusive professional wrestling content, available to them anywhere, anytime, on their favorite devices, when TNA+ launches on January 5.”
“Wrestling fans are some of the most passionate in the world of sports and entertainment and TNA+ is the perfect ‘always-on’ personalized OTT service to help TNA build a deeper relationship with its global audience,” Endeavor Streaming Chief Commercial Officer Pete Bellamy said. “We’re looking forward to working with TNA to deliver the best streaming experience for wrestling fans.”
Endeavor Streaming is a subsidiary of Endeavor, which owns TKO Group Holdings (the parent company of WWE and UFC).
Impact has announced their Impact Plus event for November.
Turning Point will air live on November 20th at Sam’s Town in Las Vegas. It will be part of a Impact three-day taping schedule, as they will tape for television on November 21 and 22. This will be the third consecutive year that a Turning Point event will take place. The pay-per-view first aired in 2004.
Impact’s next event to air on Impact Plus is Knockouts Knockdown, an all-women’s event which will air on October 9. Matches announced include a Monster’s Ball match, Havok and Rosemary vs. Madison Rayne and Tenille Dashwood for the Impact Knockouts Tag Team titles, and a one night, eight-woman tournament to decide the next challenger for the Impact Knockouts title, which is held by Deonna Purrazzo.
Bound for Glory, Impact’s next pay-per-view event, will be held on October 23. That will be headlined by Impact World Champion Christian Cage defending against former X-Division Champion Josh Alexander.
Four new matches have been added to Saturday’s No Surrender event.
A Texas Tornado no DQ match for the Knockouts Tag Team title has been added. Champions Fire N Flava (Tasha Steelz and Kiera Hogan) will face the team of Havok and Nevaeh. Nevaeh won a singles match against Hogan tonight by DQ after Steelz got involved in the match.
A six-woman tag team match has also been added. Susan, Kimber Lee, and Deonna Purazzo will face the team of Jordynne Grace, ODB, and Jazz. During a singles match between Lee and ODB on tonight’s show, Purrazzo and Susan interfered. This brought out Jazz and Jordynne Grace, who evened the odds.
Deaner and Cousin Jake will face off in a singles match. Jake rejected an offer tonight to join his cousin Deaner in the Violent by Design stable with Joe Doering and Eric Young. Jake said that instead, he would stand for something, officially giving himself the name he used prior to joining Impact, Jake Something. This caused Violent by Design to come out and attack him, but Deaner stopped the attack, saying that he wanted a match with Jake.
A six-person match was also added for No Surrender, with XXXL (Acey Romero and Larry D) and Tenille Dashwood teaming up to take on Rosemary, Crazzy Steve, and new member Black Taurus.
Here is the full card for Saturday’s No Surrender event, which will stream on Impact Plus:
Rich Swann vs. Tommy Dreamer for the Impact World title
The Good Brothers vs. Private Party for the Impact Tag Team titles
TJP vs. Rohit Raju for the Impact X Division title
Fire N Flava vs. Havok and Nevaeh in a Texas Tornado, no DQ match for the Impact Knockouts Tag Team titles
Deaner vs. Jake Something
XXXL & Tenille Dashwood vs. The Decay (Rosemary, Crazzy Steve, and Black Taurus)
Kimber Lee, Susan, and Deonna Purazzo vs. ODB, Jordynne Grace, and Jazz
Eddie Edwards and Matt Cardona vs. Brian Myers and Hernandez
Ace Austin vs. Blake Christian vs. Chris Bey vs. Daivari vs. Josh Alexander vs. Suicide vs. Trey Miguel vs. Willie Mack in a triple threat revolver match
Impact held their Turning Point event tonight on Impact Plus, featuring three title matches
The main event featured new Impact World champion Rich Swann defending the title against Sami Callihan. It also featured a rematch from Bound for Glory, where Su Yung defended the Knockouts title against Deonna Purrazzo in a no disqualification match.
Here are the results:
Eddie Edwards defeated Shawn Daivari
– Edwards defeated Daivari with the Boston Knee Party.
– Grace was pinned after Dashwood ignored her attempts to tag out, instead focusing on taking selfies.
Backstage, Cody Deaner and Cousin Jake decided to go find Johnny Swinger. Deaner was angry that he had lost to Swinger last week.
Brian Myers defeated Swoggle
– Myers pinned Swoggle with a lariat. Myers continued to beat on Swoggle until Crazzy Steve made the save.
Chris Sabin and James Storm defeated Team XXXL
– Storm and Sabin won following stereo superkicks.
Backstage, the Deaners discovered a gun in Swinger’s belongings.
Rohit Raju defeated Cousin Jake to retain the X Division title.
– Raju retained the title after connecting with a shining wizard.
After the match, Eric Young came down with former Triple Crown champion Joe Doering. Both took out the Deaners.
Willie Mack defeated Moose by disqualification
– Moose continued to beat on Mack until the referee called for the DQ.
Eddie Edwards backstage wished Swann the best of luck prior to his title match later tonight.
The Good Brothers defeated The North to win the Impact Tag Team titles
– Page was pinned following The Magic Killer.
Jordynne Grace was shown trying to get into Dashwood’s locker room. Both she and Kaleb with a K mocked her. Grace left. Alicia Edwards emerged and mocked Grace, leading to both she and Dashwood forming an alliance.
Deonna Purrazzo defeated Su Yung in a No DQ match to win the Knockouts title
– Purrazzo regained the title after landing a cradle piledriver.
Rich Swann defeated Sami Callihan to retain the Impact World title
– Swann retained the World title after four spin kicks. Ken Shamrock tried to interfere, but was met by Eddie Edwards.
Callihan won the Impact World Championship from Cage in a steel cage match at last Friday’s Impact television tapings in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. The match aired as the main event of Impact’s official weekly debut on AXS TV last night.
After the steel cage match, Tessa Blanchard came to the ring and confronted Callihan.
Prior to the title change, Cage retained the Impact World Championship against Callihan in a no disqualification match at Bound for Glory. The steel cage rematch was set up by an angle where Callihan threatened Cage’s family until Cage agreed to give him another title shot.
Turning Point is taking place at the Holy Family Academy in Hazleton, Pennsylvania. Ace Austin vs. Jake Crist for the X-Division title and RVD vs. Rhino are also set for the show.
The Great Muta will team with Tommy Dreamer against Johnny Impact & Michael Elgin at “A Night You Can’t Mist.” The show is named after Muta and is taking place at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Saturday, June 8.
Former ECW World Champion Jerry Lynn, who works as a coach/producer for All Elite Wrestling, will be the special guest referee for the match.
Muta most recently wrestled in the United States over WrestleMania weekend in New York City last month. He was a surprise entrant in the Honor Rumble match on the ROH/NJPW G1 Supercard pre-show and teamed with Pentagon Jr. & Tajiri against Low Ki & LAX for House of Glory Wrestling.
Impact Plus launched at the beginning of this month, replacing the Global Wrestling Network and serving as a rebranded version of it.
A Night You Can’t Mist is in partnership with Dreamer’s House of Hardcore promotion.
A brother vs. brother match will be one of the key pieces of All Elite Wrestling’s Double or Nothing card.
After weeks of teases, Dustin Rhodes was confirmed as his brother Cody’s opponent for Double or Nothing at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday, May 25. Regarding the note yesterday on Bushwhacker Luke Williams, the situation is actually even stranger than it sounds. Dan Mirade booked Luke for two autograph sessions. Williams was told about the dates but didn’t know one of the dates was for a Walmart. He then got asked on social media about him appearing at a Walmart. So he thought they were false advertising him since he knew he had a booking that day. He then told the local media he was being false advertised. But in fact, he wasn’t being false advertised. So it’s all been settled except for one of the TV news stations still has the story up about him being false advertised and won’t pull it because they had an interview with him saying it. So Luke shot an interview today explaining that he, in fact, will be in Ozark, AR on 5/3 and Fort Smith, AR on 5/4.
