TNA star Masha Slamovich appears during NXT Great American Bash main event

The main event of NXT Great American Bash saw TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich get involved, helping Blake Monroe & Jordynne Grace even the odds against Fatal Influence.

Monroe & Grace faced off against Jacy Jayne & Fallon Henley in the headlining match of Saturday afternoon’s event in Atlanta. Leading into the finish, there was a moment where the heels were able to gain the edge by having Jazmyn Nyx interfere and push Monroe off the top turnbuckle. But Slamovich then made her way out, brawling with Nyx and neutralizing Fatal Influence’s numbers advantage. The babyfaces then picked up the win with Monroe pinning Jayne.

This marked a successful NXT in-ring debut for the former Mariah May, who was competing in her first televised match since departing AEW for WWE. She worked together with Grace as babyfaces and used a double-arm DDT on Jayne to get the win.

Jayne is the current NXT Women’s Champion, but that could change before this weekend ends. She has a title defense against Grace coming up on Sunday night at WWE Evolution. The winner of that match will then head to TNA Slammiversary on July 20 for a winner-take-all match against Slamovich where the NXT Women’s Championship and TNA Knockouts Championship will both be on the line.

Slamovich has been Knockouts Champion since winning the title from Grace in October 2024.

WWE NXT Great American Bash card finalized

Saturday’s WWE NXT Great American Bash card has been finalized with two new matches added to the card.

Ricky Saints won his number one contender’s gauntlet match on Tuesday’s WWE NXT TV episode to earn the right to challenge Ethan Page for the North American Championship at Saturday’s PLE, plus the right to name his stipulation.

In his post-victory promo, Saints revealed that he will take on Page in a falls count anywhere match on the Saturday, July 12 Great American Bash event in Atlanta.

A grudge match between Je’Von Evans and Jasper Troy has also been added to Saturday’s GAB card. Troy laid out Evans in a backstage segment on Tuesday’s show, then Evans retaliated as Troy took to the ring to issue a challenge for the Bash.

Five matches are now on tap for Saturday’s event:

Update on WWE NXT Great American Bash start time

NXT Great American Bash and AEW All In: Texas are officially set to air head-to-head against each other.

It was already known that both shows would be taking place on the afternoon of Saturday, July 12, but a start time for the NXT PLE had not been announced. Now, WWE is listing a start time of 2:30 p.m. Eastern for ticket holders, likely meaning that the broadcast will begin at 3 p.m. Eastern. That’s the same start time as All In.

Great American Bash is being held at Center Stage in Atlanta as one of three WWE events the city is hosting that weekend. Later in the evening on July 12 after Great American Bash, WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event will be held at State Farm Arena. That venue will then host WWE’s all-women’s Evolution PLE the next night.

No matches for the Great American Bash PLE have been announced yet.

Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas is the venue for All In. Jon Moxley vs. Hangman Page for the AEW World Championship and Toni Storm vs. Mercedes Mone for the AEW Women’s World Championship are already official for the pay-per-view.

AEW and NXT also went head-to-head last weekend with Double or Nothing happening on the same night as Battleground.
