ROH TV results: The Foundation vs. The Righteous

Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Quinn McKay joined us from the ROH studio and welcomed the fans to the show. McKay ran down tonight’s three-match card that features a six-man tag between The Righteous and The Foundation, a singles bout between Caprice Coleman and Beer City Bruiser, and a tag match pitting PJ Black & Flip Gordon against The OGK.

Caprice Coleman defeated Ken Dixon (w/ Brawler Milonas and Beer City Bruiser) by DQ

Although Caprice Coleman’s opponent was supposed to be Beer City Bruiser, he pulled out of the match at the last second and gave the opportunity to Dixon. Bruiser stated that if Coleman beat Dixon, he could have a shot at him.

Coleman and Dixon went right to a collar-and-elbow tie-up that nobody got the advantage from. Coleman was in control of the bout until Brawler Milonas distracted the ref, allowing Bruiser to interfere. Dixon hit a fallaway slam that took us into a commercial break.

When the show returned, Coleman started to fire up and took Dixon down with a few running clotheslines. Bruiser got involved again and slowed down the momentum of Coleman for a moment, but a second wind was found by Coleman as he hit a Cobra Clutch leg sweep takedown. When Coleman went for the pin, Bruiser interfered again and punched him in the mouth, bringing the match to an end by disqualification.

The OGK (Matt Taven & Mike Bennett) defeated PJ Black & Flip Gordon

There was a pre-match segment where Flip Gordon’s memory loss issues with PJ Black continued.

Gordon and Matt Taven started the match. Taven tried to talk some sense into Gordon, but Gordon continued to act nonsensical and wrestled his old style. Tags between both teams were frequent, with Black and Mike Bennett being the legal men before the break.

Gordon and Bennett were legal when the match returned. Bennett and Taven attempted their spike piledriver combination, but Black knocked Taven off the top rope just in time. Black and Bennett started going back at it, with Bennett delivering a boot to The Darewolf. Bennett then hit a brainbuster and went for a pin, but it wasn’t successful.

The closing sequence of the match saw all four men get involved at the same time. Black hit a Canadian Destroyer on Taven, who was positioned on Gordon’s shoulders. Bennett broke up that pin and as they stood up, Gordon accidentally superkicked Black. This led to Bennett and Taven hitting their spike piledriver for the win.

The Righteous (Vincent, Bateman & Dutch) (w/ Vita VonStarr) defeated The Foundation (Jonathan Gresham, Tracy Williams & Rhett Titus) (w/ Jay Lethal)

Vincent grabbed a microphone as the bell rang and played a video of Jay Lethal saying that he didn’t like The Foundation. This started an argument between Lethal and his stablemates, leading to The Righteous jumping them from behind.

This led to Bateman taking control of Jonathan Gresham, both of whom were the legal men. Bateman beat down Gresham with a flurry of strikes and had frequent tag outs with Vincent and Dutch. Once Gresham rolled to the outside, Dutch sent him crashing into a barricade. The Foundation had full control of the match into a break.

Gresham fought back valiantly and eventually was able to make the tag to Rhett Titus. Titus hit a hydraulic dropkick on both Vincent and Dutch on the apron before suplexing Bateman. Tracy Williams came in and helped Titus with a few double-team moves in an attempt to put Bateman away, but nothing earned the three count.

Dutch eventually got a chance to go toe-to-toe with Titus. After a jackhammer and a clothesline, Dutch hit a swinging side slam and picked up the three count over Titus.

Final Thoughts —

This week’s episode of ROH TV featured three good matches, but it had some puzzling results. I don’t really see the benefit of extending the Caprice Coleman/Beer City Bruiser feud out because quite frankly, it should have been a one-and-done type deal. I’m also not sure why The Righteous defeated The Foundation because, in my opinion, The Foundation lose way too many matches.

This week’s ROH TV gets a grade of: Recommended Viewing.

Two matches added to ROH Glory By Honor night two

A pair of matches have been added to the card for ROH Glory By Honor night two.

Violence Unlimited (Brody King, Tony Deppen, Homicide & Chris Dickinson) will face off with The Foundation (Jay Lethal, Jonathan Gresham, Tracy Williams & Rhett Titus) in an eight-man tag match at the show. The Briscoes will also take on Flip Gordon & Demonic Flamita in a tag team match.

King defeated Lethal at ROH’s Best in the World pay-per-view earlier this month, while Homicide & Dickinson defeated Titus & Gresham in a Fight Without Honor to win the ROH Tag Team titles. Gresham was filling in for the injured Williams in that match.

Violence Unlimited defeated The Foundation when they faced each other in an eight-man tag match on ROH TV this May.

Violence Unlimited are also set for eight-man tag team action at Glory By Honor night one. They’ll be facing La Faccion Ingobernable (Rush, Dragon Lee, Kenny King & Bestia del Ring).

Gresham is defending the ROH Pure Championship against his stablemate Titus at Glory By Honor night one.

The main event of Glory By Honor night one will be Gordon challenging Bandido for the ROH World Championship.

Glory By Honor nights one and two are taking place at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Friday, August 20 and Saturday, August 21. Both shows will air live on HonorClub. Here are the updated lineups:

Glory By Honor night one (Friday, August 20) —

  • ROH World Champion Bandido defends against Flip Gordon
  • ROH Pure Champion Jonathan Gresham (w/ Jay Lethal) defends against Rhett Titus (w/ Tracy Williams)
  • Violence Unlimited (Brody King, Tony Deppen, Homicide & Chris Dickinson) vs. La Faccion Ingobernable (Rush, Dragon Lee, Kenny King & Bestia del Ring)

Glory By Honor night two (Saturday, August 21) —

  • Steel cage match: Matt Taven vs. Vincent Marseglia (Taven’s future ROH World title shot is on the line)
  • Bandido & Rey Horus vs. Rush & Dragon Lee
  • Violence Unlimited (Brody King, Tony Deppen, Homicide & Chris Dickinson) vs. The Foundation (Jay Lethal, Jonathan Gresham, Tracy Williams & Rhett Titus)
  • The Briscoes vs. Flip Gordon & Demonic Flamita

The Big Takeaway —

The fallout from Best in the World continued with three eventful and very different bouts.

**********

The show started with The Foundation in the locker room consulting Jonathan Gresham about a knee injury. Gresham revealed that he tweaked his knee while sparring with Joe Keys, to which Tracy Williams took concern with. Williams offered Keys a spot in the eight-man tag main event to allow Gresham some rest.

Not Quinn McKay, not Ian Riccaboni, but Brian Johnson joined us from the ROH studio. Johnson did his usual insult shtick and ran down the card.

**********

Rey Horus defeated Fred Yehi (7:02)

Yehi’s swagger was unmatched to start off, casually brushing off any offense that Horus had to offer. Yehi would keep Horus grounded to the mat and applied a Koji Clutch about three minutes in, but Horus escaped quickly. A commercial break ensued shortly after.

When the match resumed, Horus cleared the top rope to dive onto a staggering Yehi on the outside. Horus took control for the moment and capitalized with a rotating frog splash for a close near fall.

Yehi took back control after trying to snap Horus’ neck. He locked in the Koji Clutch, but Horus broke the hold with a rope break. Yehi continued to hammer away at Horus with his brutal offensive style, eventually going to the second rope.

Yehi perched and positioned for a move, but Horus ran at him full speed and jumped up to Yehi’s level. Horus then took Yehi back down to the mat with a bodyscissor driver, pinning him to get the win.

**********

Mandy Leon (w/ Angelina Love) defeated Quinn McKay (8:49)

If McKay wins, she gets the final spot in ROH’s Women’s World Championship tournament.

Right as the Code of Honor was adhered to, Leon clocked McKay with a cheap shot forearm. Leon grabbed a microphone and told McKay that she didn’t belong in The Allure’s ring.

McKay would muster up some offense, but Leon shut it down rather quickly. They also had a nice mat wrestling exchange that resulted in Leon on top.

After a short commercial break, Leon remained in full control. McKay was a sitting duck at ringside when Leon did an awesome running dropkick from the apron.

Leon’s trash talk would finally catch up to her when McKay delivered a great float-over neckbreaker. McKay got some more offense in and eventually locked in a sleeper hold.

Once McKay had the hold applied firmly, Angelina Love jumped up on the apron and distracted referee Joe Mandak. Leon tapped multiple times while Mandak was distracted. Once McKay realized what was happening, she screamed at Mandak, which allowed Love to slip brass knuckles to Leon.

McKay showed some more fight and lifted up Leon for a powerbomb, but Leon nailed her in the cranium with the brass knuckles and followed up with a pin for the win.

Maria Kanellis-Bennett, who was on commentary for the match, said Mandak may only be able to call what he sees — but she’s on the ROH Board of Directors and can do what’s necessary.

**********

Shane Taylor Promotions (Shane Taylor, Moses, Kaun & O’Shay Edwards) defeated The Foundation (Jay Lethal, Tracy Williams, Rhett Titus) & Joe Keys (16:54)

Edwards and Keys started off the match. Edwards attempted multiple power moves on Keys, but he seemed to reverse them easily — much to the applause of The Foundation. Taylor asked for an opportunity at Keys and took advantage of it by clocking him with a clothesline.

After a short commercial break, Lethal tagged himself in. Lethal and Taylor had a short encounter that saw Lethal tag out once he barely dodged the freight train of a knee strike that Taylor threw.

Moses and Williams got their turn afterwards and had a great striking battle. Williams draped Moses’ arm over the ropes and cinched in an armbar for a moment before referee Todd Sinclair broke it up.

At this stage in the match, frequent tags began. Kaun and Lethal had a small interaction that led to a Taylor and Lethal square-off. It resulted in Lethal being knocked out of the ring by a forearm.

Titus and Moses got great hot tags, allowing Titus to hit a few of his signature moves, including an inverted Sky-Splitter. Edwards tried to get involved to help out his teammate, but he ate a great belly-to-belly suplex from Titus instead.

Titus’ hot streak would result in another really cool moment that saw him dropkick Moses right into a half-and-half suplex from Keys. This almost resulted in Moses getting pinned, but Edwards broke it up at the last second.

The final minutes of the match saw Keys get a lot of shine. He was able to fend off three members of Shane Taylor Promotions by himself while The Foundation recovered at ringside. Keys did his best but ultimately fell short in the end, succumbing to Taylor’s strikes.

The final sequence saw the ring get cleared of all members of the match except for Edwards and Keys. Keys hit a few moves before eventually being crumbled by a Edwards’ powerbomb, allowing Edwards to score the win via pinfall.

Final Thoughts —

It’s quite nice to see Shane Taylor Promotions back on my television screen. Considering their last appearance on ROH TV was around two months ago, I genuinely appreciate when they get the screen time they deserve. They had a great bout with The Foundation & Joe Keys that really allowed each individual their own shine.

Rey Horus and Fred Yehi had a good match. Yehi’s swagger really jumps off the screen, and I’m loving his work in multiple companies. Horus seems to be in line for a title match soon.

I liked the story that Quinn McKay vs. Mandy Leon told, but that was the wrong result. ROH really played into the fact of McKay getting one more shot at her dream, but still had her lose this match. Leon didn’t really need this win and I felt like the result takes away a lot of steam from the feud.

In recent weeks I’ve introduced a scale in order to let you know if the current week of ROH TV is worth your while. The scale is as follows:

  • Must-Watch TV
  • Go Out Of Your Way

  • Avoid At All Costs

This week’s episode of ROH TV is: Go Out Of Your Way

ROH TV results: The Foundation vs. OGK Tag Team title match

Location: Baltimore, Maryland

The Big Takeaway —

Fred Yehi defeated Rocky Romero in a great match, while The Foundation made their first ROH Tag Team title defense against The OGK.

**********

Quinn McKay made her return as host and checked in from the ROH studio. McKay gave thanks to all the fans who guided her to her first ROH match. McKay said while it was her first, it certainly won’t be her last.

McKay previewed the main event of tonight’s episode, pitting The Foundation’s Tracy Williams & Rhett Titus against The OGK in an ROH World Tag Team Championship match. McKay revealed that Vincent is still on voluntary hiatus, so Matt Taven & Mike Bennett should have a clear path to regain the gold they once held.

McKay also previewed the opening contest, where we will see the “Savageweight” Fred Yehi take on Rocky Romero in a Pure Rules match.

**********.

Right before the opening match started, the camera cut backstage and showed Matt Taven laying on the ground in pain. Mike Bennett came to Taven’s aid and helped him to the trainer’s room.

***********

Fred Yehi submitted Rocky Romero in a Pure Rules match (14:44)

The Code of Honor was adhered to.

Yehi and Romero went to the mat quickly, which resulted in Yehi applying a deathlock. Romero swept the leg and got out of the hold rather easily. Both guys attempted to apply a couple of different holds, but they all resulted in a stalemate.

Romero had a great headlock applied through a commercial break until Yehi used a rope break to escape the hold. Yehi took advantage of the opening he was afforded and powerslammed Romero.

Romero kept trying to hit big moves, but Yehi had him scouted very well. Yehi applied a wristlock at one point and hit a chokeslam with the wristlock still applied. Romero eventually was able to recover and attempted his Forever Clothesline, but Yehi again had it scouted. This took us into a commercial break.

Back from the break, Romero was able to lock in his signature armbar, but Yehi used his second rope break to escape. Romero went to the top turnbuckle and was positioned, but Yehi yanked him off. Yehi followed it up with a brutal looking T-Bone suplex. Yehi applied the Koji Clutch, but Romero used his first rope break.

As we approached the 15-minute time limit, Romero and Yehi made it back to their feet. Romero tried to deliver a knee to the face, but it was blocked swiftly. Yehi clocked Romero with a forearm that sent him crumbling to the canvas, then applied the Koji Clutch again. Romero hesitated but then eventually submitted.

Flip Gordon speaks

Flip Gordon came to the ring. Gordon said he was sick of waiting around for ROH World Champion Rush and seeing everybody else fail to beat him. Gordon demanded that Rush come to the ring and give him his World title match right now (despite Rush being suspended from ROH last week).

EC3 came out instead. EC3 said “You’ve been warned” to Gordon and walked off.

**********

ROH Tag Team Champions The Foundation (Tracy Williams & Rhett Titus) defeated The OGK (Matt Taven & Mike Bennett) to retain their titles (16:01)

Williams and Bennett began the match. Both men exchanged wristlocks, followed by a few headlocks. Williams was able to take Bennett to the mat first though, giving The Foundation an edge. Bennett was able to get back to his feet fast, tagging in Taven.

Taven traded strikes with Williams before being Irish whipped into the corner, where he avoided a running Williams by using the ropes to lift himself into the air. Taven was sent back to the canvas ankle-first, and he immediately limped to tag out.

Bennett worked on Titus throughout a commercial break, but Taven eventually tagged back in. Titus and Williams were able to perform a few double team maneuvers on Taven before Williams cinched in a beautiful cloverleaf submission.

Taven tried to muster up some momentum after clocking Titus with an enzuigiri, but it was stopped after Williams tagged back in and continued to cut the ring in half. Taven was able to deliver his Just The Tip knee strike to Williams eventually, allowing for Bennett to come in for the hot tag.

Titus and Bennett came in and Bennett took control of the match immediately, backing Titus in the corner and delivering about 20 chops. Williams came in to help his partner but was dropped with a hammerlock DDT from Bennett. Bennett kept the heat on and tagged back out to Taven, allowing the duo to hit a great superkick/spear combination. Taven tried to put away Titus with a pin, but it only resulted in a two count. This took us into a commercial break.

Back from the break, Williams tagged in and brutalized Taven with a clothesline. A few moments later, Taven was able to hit a flatliner and turn it into a crossface. Williams lifted himself up and just tossed Taven over his head with ease. A hell of a performance by Tracy Williams here.

As the match continued, there was a great moment where Bennett had Titus in a vice grip. Williams responded by putting Taven in a Boston crab right in front of Bennett. The two had a slap off before both men spiked their opponents with the same style of piledriver. A little bit of an ego-off.

Bennett and Williams continued their face-off, trading stiff forearms. Titus eventually was able to tag in and position Taven in the corner for a big boot, which connected swiftly. Titus then dropkicked Taven into Williams’ grasp — and Williams spiked him with a piledriver for the win.

After the match, Taven and Bennett were discussing his ankle injury when Vincent appeared on the screen. Vincent taunted Taven with Taven’s own catchphrase before vanishing.

Final Thoughts —

What a phenomenal episode of television for ROH. Both matches more than exceeded expectations, especially the Tag Team title match. It’s definitely worth going out of your way to watch. Matt Taven has really improved as an all-around wrestler, especially when it comes to selling. Rhett Titus, who once was an afterthought for ROH, is on the run of his career right now with constant great performances. Tracy Williams might be the best wrestler in the company. Mike Bennett looked great.

Rocky Romero putting over Fred Yehi was an excellent decision as well. Yehi has true star potential and is a really good wrestler.

I don’t have too much to say about the Gordon/EC3 promo. Gordon is a really awkward promo, and did nobody inform him of Rush’s suspension? EC3 should have just dropped him right then and there.

One complaint I have: I think the Taven/Vincent stuff has gone on too long at this point. The feud should have ended with their match at the 19th Anniversary PPV. I personally want to see Vincent and The Righteous explore new feuds and opponents. Same with Taven.

The OGK to challenge for ROH Tag Team titles

A Tag Team title match will take place on ROH television later this month.

ROH has announced that The OGK (Matt Taven & Mike Bennett) will challenge The Foundation’s Tracy Williams & Rhett Titus for the ROH Tag Team titles on the ROH TV episode that premieres the weekend of Saturday, May 22. This will be Williams & Titus’ first title defense since defeating La Faccion Ingobernable’s Kenny King & Bestia del Ring at March’s ROH 19th Anniversary pay-per-view to become Tag Team Champions.

Bestia del Ring was replacing Dragon Lee in the Tag Team title match at ROH’s 19th Anniversary PPV. Dragon Lee suffered a ruptured eardrum and had to be pulled from the PPV.

The OGK are 3-0 in tag team action since Bennett made his return to ROH last November. Their most recent win was against Beer City Bruiser & Ken Dixon.

Taven & Bennett formerly held the ROH Tag Team titles for three months in 2015. They also held the IWGP Tag Team titles together in 2015.

La Faccion Ingobernable to face The Foundation on ROH TV

Top factions will face off as part of the final build to Ring of Honor’s 19th Anniversary pay-per-view.

La Faccion Ingobernable (Rush, Dragon Lee, Kenny King & Bestia del Ring) vs. The Foundation (Jay Lethal, Jonathan Gresham, Tracy Williams & Rhett Titus) in an eight-man tag match has been announced for the ROH television episode that premieres the weekend of March 20. The episode is the go-home show for ROH’s 19th Anniversary PPV.

The 19th Anniversary event is airing on PPV and HonorClub on Friday, March 26. It will be headlined by Rush defending his ROH World Championship against Lethal. Dragon Lee will also defend his ROH Television Championship against Williams at the PPV.

“The Foundation deeply believes in competing with honor and adhering to rules. Conversely, LFI prides itself on being ungovernable, winning at any cost and humiliating its opponents,” ROH wrote about the feud between the two factions.

On an episode of ROH TV last month, Dragon Lee & King defeated Lethal & Gresham in a Pure Rules match to win the ROH Tag team titles. The finish of the match was Dragon Lee pinning Gresham after hitting an illegal closed-fist punch while the referee’s attention was turned away.

ROH TV results: The Foundation six-man tag match

Location: Baltimore, Maryland

The Big Takeaway —

In the opening match, LSG defeated Tony Deppen. The Foundation then took on each other in a great six-man tag team main event.

**********

This week’s broadcast began with a Jay Lethal-led promo from The Foundation. Lethal said that tonight’s main event is about honor and showing the rest of the roster that there are rules in professional wrestling.

Lethal then decided to shake things up, announcing that he, Wheeler Yuta & Rhett Titus will take on the team of Jonathan Gresham, Tracy Williams & Fred Yehi tonight. Lethal also said that it doesn’t matter who is on which side, but rather the unity that The Foundation holds. It seems that Yehi and Yuta are now associated with The Foundation.

**********

Quinn McKay checked in from the studio following The Foundation’s promo. McKay noted that this week’s six-man main event pitting two sides of The Foundation against each other is a response to the chaos in last week’s eight-man tag match between La Faccion Ingobernable & Flip Gordon and Brody King, PCO & The Briscoes.

McKay also revealed that tonight’s episode will mark the first time we’ve seen Tony Deppen back in Ring of Honor since Final Battle.

**********

Speaking of Deppen, he had a promo next. Deppen claimed that a lot of fans and even some on the roster doubted his ability to win at Final Battle, but he proved everyone wrong. Deppen went on to say that this is his opportunity to earn a place on the ROH roster.

LSG also had a pre-match promo. He said that despite wrestling for 15 years, 2020 was his first time wrestling on Final Battle. LSG said while he respects Deppen’s time on the independent scene, he doesn’t think Deppen can hang with the big leagues.

LSG defeated Tony Deppen (11:57)

Deppen and LSG exchanged roll-through pin attempts to begin the match before rolling to the outside and exchanging stiff strikes. LSG rolled Deppen back in and attempted an O’Connor Roll, but Deppen launched him into the ropes instead. LSG became significantly more aggressive after this and ended up yanking Deppen’s feat from underneath him on the apron, causing him to fall face-first into the apron. LSG then threw Deppen into the barricade and rolled back in the ring.

Deppen finally made it back in the ring and got some momentum on his side, releasing some open hand palm strikes on LSG’s skull. Deppen then charged LSG in the corner with the double knees, but it only warranted a two count.

LSG and Deppen engaged in a war of chops, with LSG getting the upper hand and hitting his finisher Rocka-Bye-Baby, but it still didn’t put Deppen away. LSG continued the dominance of his opponent, following up two pump kicks with his signature spinning Torture Rack slam for the win.

**********

McKay sat down with both Briscoe brothers. Mark and Jay exchanged a metaphorical message about how Jay jumped off a metaphorical boat, a boat that Mark named the “S.S. World Tag Team Championships,” Mark claimed that he jumped off to swim after EC3, but Jay denied it. The metaphor ended with Jay and Mark seemingly making up.

**********

Jay Lethal, Wheeler Yuta & Rhett Titus defeated Jonathan Gresham, Tracy Williams & Fred Yehi (17:47)

Lethal and Williams began the match. After Williams trapped Lethal on the mat fast with a crab lock, Lethal tagged out quickly to Titus. Titus got an edge on Williams quickly, cinching in a headscissors lock. This startled Williams and caused him to tag in Yehi. Yehi slammed Titus a few times and caused him to tag out to Yuta.

Yuta and Yehi exchanged a few holds and strikes before Yehi tagged in Gresham. Yuta and Gresham did the same, exchanging some holds and wristlocks before Yuta tagged out to Lethal. Lethal and Gresham picked up the pace significantly here and exchanged multiple strikes and holds. Lethal ended up getting the better of Gresham and began countering anything he threw at him.

While still in control, Lethal tagged out to Titus and Titus tried to take advantage of a down Gresham. Titus tagged Lethal back in for a double-team move, but Gresham wheelbarrowed out of a suplex attempt by Lethal and sprung up and hit a cutter on Titus. Lethal tagged out to Yuta while Gresham tagged out to Yehi. Yehi went to work fast, hitting a stutter brainbuster on Yuta. Williams and Yehi then hit a nice double-team maneuver where Williams threw Yuta into Yehi’s clothesline.

After a few more tags, Gresham and Titus became the legal men. They both exchanged very stiff forearms before Gresham got the advantage by sweeping the legs out from Titus and tagging in Yehi. Yehi came in and bulldozed Titus, but he recovered quickly and tagged out to Yuta. Yuta sprung off the top rope and nailed Yehi with a flying DDT.

Yuta tagged out to Lethal and he went for a Lethal Injection on Yehi, but Gresham pushed Yehi out of the way and took it himself. Titus came in and nailed Yehi with a standing dropkick to get the win.

**********

Final Thoughts —

This week’s episode of ROH TV was a tale of two halves. The opening contest featuring Tony Deppen against LSG just didn’t do it for me. LSG seemed off at times and like he couldn’t keep up with Deppen. And after going toe-to-toe with Dragon Lee, i felt like Deppen deserved the win here. Watching LSG as a part of the Coast2Coast tag team for the past couple of years, he really has never wowed me as a wrestler.

The main event contest pitting two halves of The Foundation against each other was brilliant. There was some obvious tension at times between the two sides which is always nice to see. This was also Fred Yehi’s showcase match to shine, he absolutely killed it and should be an official member of The Foundation. My only complaint about the main event was that Gresham got dominated a bit too much, but I’m sure he was just letting other guys shine.

**********

Next Week on ROH TV —

  • ROH Six-Man Tag Team Champions MexiSquad (Bandido, Flamita & Rey Horus) defend against Shane Taylor Promotions (Shane Taylor & The Soldiers of Savagery)
  • The Briscoes vs. Dragon Lee & Kenny King

Bestia del Ring appears at ROH Final Battle

Bestia del Ring appeared at the end of tonight’s ROH Final Battle pay-per-view event, joining the La Faccion de Ingobernable stable.

He appeared towards the end of the ROH World title match between his son, champion Rush, and challenger Brody King. Dragon Lee came out and distracted the referee as Bestia came in and attacked Brody with a steel chair. This allowed Rush to hit the knees in the corner to pin Brody and retain the title.

After the match, LFI celebrated in the ring as The Foundation (Jonathan Gresham, Jay Lethal, Tracy Williams, and Rhett Titus) came out, teasing a future feud between the two stables.

Rush cut a promo after the show ended that ended up on social media, dismissing the Foundation.

Bestia, who used to wrestle under the name Pierroth in CMLL, is the father of both Dragon Lee and Rush. He left CMLL when the company fired Lee and Rush last fall and has since made appearances in AAA.
