Hardy to face Guevara in ‘The Elite Deletion’ at AEW Full Gear

Sammy Guevara vs. Matt Hardy in a ‘The Elite Deletion’ match has been announced for Full Gear.

The match was announced on tonight’s show, though what exactly a ‘Elite Deletion’ match is was not specified.

During tonight’s main event, Sammy Guevara and Matt Hardy, (who accompanied Private Party to ringside) brawled to the back during a picture in picture commercial break.

Guevara rekindled the feud between him and Matt Hardy last week when he cut off Hardy during an interview. The video screen showed him burning pictures of Matt Hardy as he revealed that it was him who attacked Hardy weeks ago.

The two last wrestled in a ‘Broken Rules’ match at All Out. The match was initially stopped when Hardy fell off a ladder and was knocked out on impact. The match continued, but it immediately went to the finish, where Hardy won.

Other matches announced for Full Gear, which takes place on November 7, includes the following:

  • Jon Moxley vs. Eddie Kingston for the AEW World title in an I Quit match
  • Cody vs. Darby Allin for the TNT title
  • FTR vs. The Young Bucks for the AEW Tag Team titles
  • The finals of a tournament to determine the next contender for the AEW World title

Matt Hardy segment announced for AEW Dynamite

New footage from the Hardy Compound will air on Dynamite this Wednesday.

This afternoon, Matt Hardy wrote the following on Twitter: “I return to #AEWDynamite this Wednesday….with exclusive footage from The Hardy Compound.”

Hardy has been feuding with Chris Jericho for the last month. Hardy arrived in AEW and quickly rejected an offer to join Chris Jericho’s Inner Circle stable. Since then, Jericho and Hardy have exchanged words from their homes. After Vanguard 1 stole a Inner Circle t-shirt that Chris Jericho used to offer the drone a spot in his stable, the t-shirt was then seen the following week burning in a dumpster at the Hardy Compound.

During that particular video, Hardy invited Jericho to his compound for what he called The Elite Deletion. It isn’t known if Jericho has accepted the offer.

Additional matches for this week’s Dynamite will see Jimmy Havoc face Orange Cassidy. Kenny Omega, Mr. Brodie Lee and Wardlow will all be in action as well. TNT title tournament matches will also take place, with Dustin Rhodes facing Kip Sabian and Darby Allin facing Sammy Guevara. If Dustin Rhodes doesn’t win his tournament match, he will retire.

Matt Hardy challenges Jericho to ‘The Elite Deletion’ on AEW Dynamite

“Broken” Matt Hardy has invited Chris Jericho to The Elite Deletion.

On tonight’s episode of Dynamite, Matt Hardy was shown at the Hardy Compound. He ran down the Inner Circle, addressing each of them individually. When he asked Vanguard 1 for the shirt it stole last week from Chris Jericho, Vanguard 1 showed the shirt on fire nearby.

Hardy then invited Chris Jericho to the Hardy Compound for what he called “The Elite Deletion”. It wasn’t mentioned when this match would take place. Jericho, who was on commentary during the show, didn’t address Hardy’s offer.

The two have been feuding for the last several weeks. Jericho and Hardy met face to face several weeks ago, with Jericho offering Hardy a spot in the Inner Circle. Hardy refused.

Last week, Chris Jericho was addressing Matt Hardy at his home when Vanguard 1 arrived. Jericho offered the drone a spot in the Inner Circle, giving him a small Inner Circle t-shirt. Vanguard 1 took the shirt and flew away.
