Four matches announced for Impact Slammiversary Fallout TV taping

Impact Wrestling announced several matches for its Slammiversary Fallout TV taping from Windsor this weekend.   

Detroit Red Wings legend Darren McCarty will return to the ring on Sunday’s show. He’ll team with Tommy Dreamer to face Champagne Singh & Shera.  

Also booked for the taping is a singles match between Dirty Dango and Santino Marella. 

Lio Rush vs. KUSHIDA is advertised for Sunday as well. The last time the two wrestled each other was back in May when Rush defeated KUSHIDA in the Best of the Super Juniors. 

Chris Bey & Ace Austin vs. Subculture is also advertised for Slammiversary Fallout. Austin and Bey will defend the Impact tag titles against Sami Callihan & Rich Swann, Brian Myers & Moose, and Subculture the night before at Slammiversary.

Darren McCarty named special enforcer for Impact Slammiversary tag match

Darren McCarty’s return to Impact Wrestling has been announced. 

The Detroit Red Wings legend and four-time Stanley Cup champion has been named the special enforcer for Bully Ray & Steve Maclin vs. PCO & Scott D’Amore at Slammiversary. 

McCarty last appeared for Impact during the promotion’s March television tapings in Windsor. He took part in an angle at Sacrifice that saw Bully Ray powerbomb him through a table. McCarty then made his Impact in-ring debut at the following day’s TV tapings when he teamed with Tommy Dreamer and Yuya Uemura to defeat Bully Ray and The Good Hands. 

Impact Slammiversary takes place Saturday, July 15, 2023, at St. Clair College in Windsor, Ontario, Canada beginning at 8 p.m. Eastern time.

Impact Wrestling TV taping spoilers: Former NHL player makes in-ring debut

The following are spoilers from Saturday’s Impact Wrestling TV taping in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, which featured the fallout from Friday’s Sacrifice as the company looks ahead to next month’s Rebellion.

As this Thursday’s show is a live preview special for that evening’s Multiverse United PPV, these matches will begin airing on Thursday, April 6th.

It featured former NHL enforcer Darren McCarty in action after the events of Sacrifice as he joined Tommy Dreamer and Yuya Uemura in a trios match. That match was already announced for the April 6th broadcast.

McCarty got physically involved during the Dreamer vs. Bully Ray Busted Open match and was eventually put through a table.

The taping also featured the promotional debut of Jody Threat in addition to the promotional return of Laredo Kid after suffering ruptured intestines late last year.
