  • As part of a promotion for a new show called The Cube on TBS, Kenny Omega and Nick were shown unpacking a cube. 
  • In Trick Shots with Nick Jackson, Nick hit a trick shot into the cube. 
  • Matt and Nick were filmed attacking Rey Fenix backstage.

  • Marko Stunt beat Luchasaurus in a number one contender’s cube game and will challenge Cutler for the title next week.

  • Chuck Taylor was the guest on this week’s Hollywood Trivia with Ryan Nemeth. Taylor did not get the trivia question correct. 
  • The Wingmen did a quick bit with John Silver. Silver said “I’m just living.”
  • The Hardy Family Office was commiserating after The Bunny’s loss on Dynamite. Matt Hardy said that it was a bad night for the HFO, but he had a great night when he dropped Christian Cage. Hardy cut a promo on Cage. 
  • Nyla Rose, Vickie Guerrero and Ryzin shot promo photos backstage. 

Dark Order —

  • Alex Reynolds and John Silver attempted to recruit Billy Gunn to join Dark Order. Billy agreed to swing by their lair later on. 
  • Each member of the group helped Evil Uno prepare for is TNT title match against Miro by pretending to be Miro. Uno practiced ways to escape Miro’s Game Over hold. Billy Gunn walked in and caught the group in a compromising position and said he’s already been there and done that and he’ll never do it again.

  • Cutler filmed footage of some of the exhibits at the Double or Nothing fan fest. 
  • Footage from the Double or Nothing PPV was shown, including a behind the scenes look at Omega filming a backstage segment. 
  • The Bucks were shown paying off referee Rick Knox in an airport, so a heel referee may be part of their act going forward.

  • Ryan Nemeth continued his Hollywood trivia bit, asking Rebel who played the hunky spokesperson for Venmo commercials. Rebel had no idea that it was Nemeth. 
  • Peter Avalon wrote a note in a book for Leva Bates. Alex Reynolds intercepted the book and signed the note. 
  • The Bunny and Brandon Cutler’s dormant feud continued. The Bunny acted as though she was calling for a truce, but it was a swerve. The two declared war on each other. 
  • Rocky Romero and Best Friends all kicked John Silver below the belt. 
  • Nemeth asked Trent a trivia question. Trent knew the answer, but only because Nemeth had bragged to him about it before. 
  • Best Friends and Romero answered questions from fans in a BTE Mailbag segment. 
  • Avalon, Nemeth, Cezar Bononi and JD Drake met in a hotel room to do yoga together. Bononi brought a “yoga book” that turned out to be a kama sutra book.

The show began with a strong Christopher Daniels promo. 

Daniels was being cleaned up and stitched up following SCU’s loss to The Young Bucks last week. Daniels cut a promo talking about a Dusty Rhodes retirement promo that he remembered from more than 30 years ago. 

Daniels said that he always knew that one day he would walk out the door of an arena and that would be the last time he would walk out as a full-time wrestler. Daniels wept and pleaded that he wanted to stay, but then walked out the door. 

The Elite —

  • The Young Bucks and Brandon Cutler experienced travel delays as the made their way to Dynamite last week. 
  • Nick Jackson cut a promo on a fan that stalked their hotel for free autographs for a year. 
  • Trick Shots with Nick Jackson returned. Nick hit several trick shots in and around his home swimming pool. 
  • Footage from The Bucks vs. SCU from Dynamite was shown. 
  • There was a pointless segment with The Good Brothers goofing off with The Bucks. 

Dark Order —

  • The group had a picnic but everyone forgot to bring food. 

Miscellaneous bits —

  • Ryan Nemeth introduced Hollywood Trivia. He asked Matt Sydal to name who played Andy the sexy cowboy on this past season of Jimmy Kimmel Live. The answer was Nemeth, but Sydal didn’t get it right. One of Sydal’s guesses was Nick Cannon. 
  • Matt Hardy and Private Party discussed their upcoming match against Dark Order. They laughed at the thought that they might lose. 
  • Nemeth asked Ashley D’Amboise to name the actor who played a hunky drill sergeant on Nickelodeon’s Unleashed last season. D’Amboise also could not name Nemeth and guessed Nick Cannon. 
  • Peter Avalon made another attempt to rekindle things with Leva Bates, but was interrupted by Alex Reynolds. 
  • Ryzin, Vickie Guerrero and Nyla Rose set up a confessional backstage and listened to confessions.

The show opened with a lengthy Matt Jackson promo on this week’s match with SCU. 

Matt detailed the long history and friendship between The Young Bucks and SCU. He said that none of that will matter on Wednesday when they step in the ring. 

He concluded the promo by making fun of those who would suggest that promos like this should be included on Dynamite rather than part of a YouTube show. 

The content of this promo was good, but Matt was reading it off a script and the delivery left something to be desired. 

The Elite —

  • Footage was shown from The Elite beating down Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston on Dynamite. 
  • Trick Shots with Nick Jackson continued. 
  • Christopher Daniels cut a promo on The Young Bucks. He said that this Wednesday, he’ll either become an AEW Tag Team title holder, or he’ll break up with his tag partner of over a decade. He wanted to know which Young Bucks are showing up this week. He said he’s used to betting on himself and betting everything on one hand. Daniels said after this Wednesday, all four of them will be changed forever. This was excellent. 

Dark Order —

  • Stu Grayson concluded that he must be losing his mind as he’s the only one who is seeing Anna Jay appear. 
  • Evil Uno, Colt Cabana, Alex Reynolds, Ten and Five reviewed the group’s to do list. They ranked their priorities as taking care of the Hardy Family Office, finding out if Sting is their friend or foe, figuring out what BTDO stands for, then finding John Silver. As they were having this discussion, Silver walked by in the background. 
  • Silver was looking for Dark Order backstage. He ran into Best Friends, who then bullied him. 
  • Silver eventually found Dark Order and they were reunited. 

Miscellaneous bits —

  • Peter Avalon was on a date. Leva Bates walked by. Avalon turned to look at Bates. When he turned back around, his date was gone.

The Elite —

  • Nick lost a basketball in the ceiling at Dynamite and they spent a few minutes filming him looking for the ball. 
  • There was an extended sequence following Matt and Nick as they walked backstage. Matt said that the scene reminded him of the new generation Bret Hart video. 
  • Nick hit a trick basketball shot off his house. 
  • Matt and Nick tried to break Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson of their too sweet hand signs by showing them their Elite hand signal. This devolved into Gallows and Anderson talking about masturbation. 
  • Matt and Nick were shown charging their shoes before their match last week. 
  • Nick hit a second trick shot on a water slide at his house.

Dark Order —

  • The group commiserated after 10’s loss on Dynamite. Everyone said they had lost something. 10 lost his match, Alex Reynolds lost John Silver, 5 lost his twelve inches and his virginity, Colt lost his allergy medicine, Tay Conti lost her title match, Evil Uno lost his dad, Hangman lost his match. 
  • The group decided to look for Silver. Reynolds said he accidentally left the door open while he was brushing his hair and John ran out.  
  • Stu Grayson enlisted Brandon Cutler to help him find Anna Jay. Grayson found Anna, but when she turned around, she was Powerhouse Hobbs. 

Miscellaneous bits —

  • JD Drake and Ryan Nemeth were backstage. They overheard what sounded like a sexual encounter, but it was just Peter Avalon trimming Cezar Bononi’s mustache. 
  • Ryzin and Nyla Rose tried to hit Avalon and Bononi up for a donation. Nyla started to speak in tongues, providing a distraction. Vickie Guerrero then picked Avalon and Bononi’s pockets.

  • Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston’s vehicular assault on the Young Bucks, Good Brothers, Don Callis and Michael Nakazawa from Dynamite was recapped, including footage of the group running away from the trailer. 
  • There was also the standard amount of discussion of The Good Brothers’ genitals. 

The Elite —

  • The Bucks complained that an airline damaged Matt’s luggage because they are heels now. They also bragged about their expensive sneakers, fully leaning into their heel personas. 
  • The Bucks gave Brandon Cutler a face mask to protect his orbital bone. They also gifted him an Elite jacket with “Young Boy” embroidered on the back. They officially deemed him The Elite’s young boy. 
  • The Bucks and Good Brothers recorded an episode of Talk’N Shop. 
  • The Bucks gave Cutler his gear in a plastic bag since he won’t be needing it after his orbital injury. This was obviously a spoof of the Mickie James trash bag incident. 

Dark Order —

  • The group decided to take 5’s new penis and donate it to John Silver to replace some of his arm. 
  • Grayson was looking for Matt Hardy, Butcher and Blade backstage so that he could beat them up. He kept seeing Anna Jay, who would pop in for a second, then disappear. 

Miscellaneous bits —

  • There was a brief librarians reunion. Leva Bates was backstage. Peter Avalon approached. Cezar Bononi walked up and Avalon acted like he was disgusted by Bates. As Bates left, Avalon looked forlorn. 
  • Ryzin’s Blue Chew problem was resolved and it gave him an idea for how he and Vicious Vixens could raise more money. This was the third storyline involving genitals on the show.

The cold open —

  • The Young Bucks boasted about their Nike Dior shoes and the tens of thousands of dollars they had spent on their gear. 

The Elite —

  • There was an extended highlight video from The Bucks match vs. Death Triangle on Dynamite. 
  • Footage was shown from an AEW meet and greet at The House Always Wins house show from WrestleMania week. This was some vintage BTE stuff and pretty cool to see. 
  • Cutler Cam clips from The House Always Wins show were shown. 
  • Cutler confronted Matt and Nick about their new attitudes. He also informed them that he has a broken orbital bone and can’t wrestle for four to six months. Matt and Nick said that if he wants both of his contracts to roll over, he needs to be their personal young boy and assistant. 

Dark Order —

  • The Dark Order segment from last week’s Dynamite was replayed. Hangman Page walked out when Alex Marvez asked him a question about Kenny Omega and The Bucks. 
  • The group was still waiting for Hangman to return with food. They eventually agreed that Hangman wasn’t coming back, so Colt Cabana ordered them 50 pounds of meat. 

Miscellaneous bits —

  • Best Friends and Kris Statlander attempted to kill Brandon Cutler. Instead, he talked them into doing a BTE Mailbag segment on the show. 
  • Ryzin dealt with the aftermath of taking too many Blue Chew on last week’s episode.

  • The Young Bucks heel turn from Dynamite’s closing segment was replayed.

The Elite —

  • Kenny Omega sat with Matt and Nick. He said they’ve changed the world, but the people have turned on them. He said that Matt and Nick had come to represent what he hates about modern wrestling by pandering to fans. 
  • Omega said that no one else is on their level, they don’t do this because they love it, but because it’s their responsibility to show the world their greatness. He urged The Bucks to ditch their bright colors and gear, because there has to be a change in them. This was a serious promo and good work from Omega. 
  • Matt Jackson and Brandon Cutler went for a quick skate backstage. 

Dark Order —

  • Kris Statlander was in Anna Jay’s usual spot in the Dark Order lair. Stu Grayson began flipping out. 5 entered and had huge genitals. 
  • Uno chastised Grayson for embarrassing him in front of the group. Alex Abrahantes staged an intervention and translated for the two, with the gag being that they were all speaking the same language and sitting five feet apart and didn’t need translation.

Miscellaneous bits —

  • Matt Hardy cut a promo on Darby Allin ahead of their falls count anywhere match this week. He said he’s here to leech off AEW, he pioneered the style that made Darby famous and he doesn’t care what the modern wrestling fan wants. This was an excellent promo.
  • The Vicious Vixens were having trouble selling their goods backstage. Ryzin the evil priest ate handfuls of Blue Chew, thinking they were candy.

  • This week’s episode was significantly shorter than usual and focused on building to The Young Bucks & Jon Moxley vs. Kenny Omega & The Good Brothers on this week’s AEW Dynamite. 

The cold open —

  • Matt Hardy introduced his faction as the Hardy Family Office and promised to continue taking out The Dark Order.

The Elite —

  • The build to Dynamite’s six-man tag continued. Don Callis was shown confronting Matt Jackson on last week’s Dynamite, The Bucks and Jon Moxley went after Omega and The Good Brothers, and Matt and Nick looked at themselves in the mirror, looking to get their old killer instinct back. Old BTE clips were shown from Matt and Nick’s time in ROH and NJPW.

Dark Order —

  • Alex Reynolds provided an update on John Silver’s shoulder injury. He said that Silver’s shoulder is okay, but that John is pregnant. 10 claimed to be the father. 
  • 5 said that he can get his penis surgically re-attached provided he keeps it on ice. He carried around a glass of ice water with a shrimp in it. 10 stomped on the shrimp. 

The Good Brothers —

  • Gallows went blind from masturbating too much.

  • Matt Hardy met with Private Party and told them that despite their misgivings, Butcher, Blade and Bunny will gel with their group. He said Darby Allin and Sting should stay out of their business. He said that his ultimate goal is to destroy the Dark Order. 
  • In a flashback sequence, Hardy slipped into his Broken character to recruit Butcher, Blade and Bunny. 
  • Matt explained to Kassidy and Quen that he is a chameleon and can slip in and out of the Broken character if need be. 

The Elite —

  • Matt Jackson brought his kids to Dynamite and we saw footage of them playing in the ring and posing with Matt and Nick backstage. 
  • Matt, Darby Allin, Angelico, Jack Evans and Brian Cage played with skateboards backstage.  
  • Matt and Nick told Brandon Cutler that he should be proud of himself after losing on Dynamite. Cutler said that these aren’t the Bucks that he grew up with. He said they’ve become content with success and money. Cutler said Don Callis is right about them. He said even BTE has become the Dark Order show. He asked them what they saw when they looked in the mirror. 

Dark Order —

  • The group was dejected after John Silver’s loss against Allin on Dynamite. Evil Uno said that he got word that Silver might need an arm replacement. They decided to cut off 5’s arm to give to Silver. Silver said he didn’t want 5’s arm, he wanted his genitals. A shrimp fell to the ground as they cut away at 5. 

The Good Brothers —

  • Gallows taped his hands together so he couldn’t pleasure himself. He was in a bad mood and decided to sit in the locker room and eat candy. 

Miscellaneous bits —

  • Cezar Bononi and Luchasaurus made a brief cameo. 
  • Marko Stunt said he wanted to be the first to break the Spanish announce table in AEW. Alex Abrahantes alerted the crew and they scared Stunt away from the table. 
  • Public Swole Announcement returned as a segment. Big Swole said that the mask goes over the nose. 

AEW’s John Silver out 4-6 weeks with shoulder injury

John Silver tweeted Friday that he will be out 4-6 weeks after suffering a shoulder injury on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite, but will not require surgery and there’s no major damage.

The Dark Order member sustained the injury during his main event match with TNT Champion Darby Allin. While they were on the outside of the ring, Silver ran at Allin and went over the barricade. As he did, his right arm appeared to plant awkwardly as he hit the cement. He worked the rest of the match, eventually losing by pinfall, but was favoring his arm. On the same spot, he also hit the back of his head on the cement.

After years on the indies, Silver and tag team partner Alex Reynolds debuted in AEW in October 2019 and were eventually put into the Dark Order. The 30-year-old started breaking out as a cult favorite based on his BTE appearances which resulted in more prominent roles on both Dynamite and pay-per-views.

Matt Jackson, dressed in a suit and Nike Dior sneakers, was complaining about what a tough day it was on the stock market. He took a call from his wife who was picking up ingredients for an expensive dinner. Matt had a flashback to Don Callis’s promo on Dynamite where he told Matt and Nick that they aren’t elite any more and that Kenny Omega doesn’t even recognize them. 

Matt began to wonder whether he and Nick have gotten too rich and comfortable. 

The Elite —

  • Matt Hardy told Matt Jackson that The bucks are too gullible and Callis is exploiting them. He said that he knows this because he manipulated Hangman against them. 
  • Matt Jackson saw Hangman dancing with Dark Order while sad music played. 

Dark Order —

  • The group tried to officially recruit Maki Itoh, but she flipped them off and said she was going back to Japan. 
  • The group got John Silver ready for his TNT title match this week by beating him with skateboards and dragging him around backstage. 

Miscellaneous bits —

  • After their loss to Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston, Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson were going over the reasons for their defeat. Anderson said that Gallows is tired from masturbating too much and it’s the reason they lost. He banned Gallows from masturbating for a week and said that if he finds out that Gallows has, they will break up. 
  • After stealing Matt Sydal’s ring jacket, Vicious Vixens sold it back to him. They then stole his fanny pack. 
  • Backstage footage of Brandon Cutler’s entrance was shown.

  • Christopher Daniels told The Young Bucks a joke and they slapped their legs while laughing. Matt Hardy pointed out a “no leg slapping while laughing” sign, poking fun at the WWE ban on leg slapping. 

Dark Order —

  • Hangman Page finally bought his lawn mower. He then confronted Dark Order about some suspicious purchases on his credit card, including a leisure suit, flowers for Anna Jay, “a bunch of drugs,” a gimp suit, assorted meats and Japanese Rosetta Stone. 
  • Maki Itoh insulted the group’s dancing. 

Miscellaneous bits —

  • Matt Hardy and Private Party were celebrating their win on Dynamite. Butcher, Blade and Bunny were there and were celebrating in their own way. Hardy promised to crush The Dark Order. 
  • Hangman talked to Private Party backstage. He told them that there is strength in numbers and that Private Party, Butcher and Blade outnumber Hardy and they should keep that in mind. Page then stole their “This Ain’t Water.”
  • There was an extended cinematic dream sequence. Alex Abrahantes and each member of The Dark Order went after Sammy Guevara, Santana, Ortiz and Dasha. 
  • The Vicious Vixens trio stole items from various talent backstage.
