Fourth Chris Jericho cruise postponed until 2023

The fourth edition of the Chris Jericho Rock ‘n’ Wrestling Rager at Sea cruise has been postponed until 2023.

According to a statement on the cruise’s website, the decision to postpone from March 2022 to February 2023 came after soliciting feedback and conducting research.

In addition to the new dates, the cruise will have a new destination as well. Instead of sailing from Miami, Florida to Nassau, Bahamas, the cruise will now depart Miami and end up at Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas, including a stop at a private island.

Information on transferring booking from the 2022 cruise to the 2023 edition, plus when new reservations will be accepted for 2023, can be found in a list of FAQs on the website.

The cruise’s statement reads:

“Chris Jericho’s Rock ‘N’ Wrestling Rager at Sea is an incredibly special event and that is because of our amazing cruisers! Since announcing the event during the Triple Whammy in late October 2021 and gearing up to set sail in March 2022, we’ve heard overwhelming feedback from the Rager at Sea family.

Members of this awesome community would love to attend, but are unable to due to the current environment and the quick turnaround between cruises. After compiling feedback and researching the options, we have made the decision to postpone the Four Leaf Clover to 2023.

The Four Leaf Clover will now sail February 2-6, 2023 aboard Norwegian Pearl from Miami, Florida to Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas. We’ll spend the day on our very own private island (a new destination for the Rager at Sea!) where the beach is steps away, the food is free, and any purchased drink packages will be honored!”

FRIDAY NEWS UPDATE

We won’t be doing a show tonight but we’ll have a big show tomorrow morning with Garrett on all the week’s news as well as Crown Jewel, G-1 and whatever happens tonight. Bryan and I will be back Saturday talking about Dynamite and the week’s news.

Thanks to those who wrote in about this week’s lead story.  The numbers are there but the important thing is not the numbers but what the numbers show, which is all talked about. We also have a lot on how Kota Ibushi’s injury changes plans and how Tetsuya Naito’s injury changed G-1.

Smackdown tonight at 8 p.m.. back on FOX is teasing a belt switch with Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch. Hopefully that’s a tease and they have a better idea instead.

Rampage at 10 p.m. tonight has Andrade vs. Pac, Britt Baker vs. Anna Jay and Orange Cassidy vs. Powerhouse Hobbs in the first round of the tournament for an AEW title shot. They will also announce the brackets for the TBS tournament. As noted all week, people who were there live, both fans and those in the company, were raving about Andrade vs Pac as one of the best matches in company history and the best match in Rampage history.

We have a number of polls for this weekend. We are looking for your thoughts on Crown Jewel, and both New Japan shows at Budokan Hall, as well as the Impact PPV tomorrow night. You can leave a thumbs up, thumbs down or thumbs in the middle along with a best and worst match for each individual show to [email protected]. We also have a poll for the G-1 tournament for G-1 MVP and best match of the tournament.

We are also looking for live reports from Smackdown in Wichita, KS with any dark match notes or other news, and from tonight’s Bloodsport show from Los Angeles.

UFC runs 1-7 p.m. Eastern tomorrow on ESPN+:

  • Grant Dawson (156) vs. Ricky Glenn (155.5)

Costa forfeited 20 percent of his purse. Originally they were to fight at 185, but Costa said he was 211 on Wednesday and couldn’t make it. Last night they agreed to fight at 195, but Costa’s side told Vettori to make it 205 and Vettori agreed.

The Chris Jericho cruise took off yesterday. Marko Stunt did a concert already. Hopefully they taped it. Wish they could have done TV from the cruise but it didn’t work out.

Tag Team title match confirmed for next week’s AEW Dynamite

Hangman Page and Kenny Omega will be the next team to challenge champions SCU.

Page and Omega defeated Best Friends, Young Bucks, and Santana & Ortiz tonight on Dynamite to become the number one contenders for the AEW Tag Team titles. Towards the end of the match, The Bucks had things under control. Hangman Page however tagged himself in. Omega and Page then got the win, pinning Chuck Taylor following a v-trigger/buckshot lariat combination.

After the match, The Bucks confronted both Omega and Page. Omega managed to talk things over with Matt and Nick and shook hands. Page left without resolving anything.

One match has already been signed for next week’s Dynamite, which will take place on Chris Jericho’s Rock ‘n’ Rager At Sea cruise. Jericho will team with Santana & Ortiz to take on the Jurassic Express.

A number one contender’s match will also take place on the cruise. The winners of Jon Moxley vs. Sammy Guevara and PAC vs. Darby Allin on tonight’s show will face each other next week, with the winner getting a title shot against AEW World champion Chris Jericho.

Jericho announces second Rock ‘N’ Wrestling Rager at Sea cruise

A second Chris Jericho cruise will officially be happening.

Jericho posted a video today announcing that “Chris Jericho’s Rock ‘N’ Wrestling Rager at Sea part two: Second Wave” will be taking place. Jericho noted that further details will be announced in January.

Dave Meltzer had reported after the first cruise that Jericho was planning on making it an annual thing. This year’s cruise sold out a few days before it took place, with it sailing from Miami, Florida to Nassau, Bahamas from October 27-31.

Jericho partnered with both Ring of Honor and Impact Wrestling for matches on this year’s cruise. ROH’s Sea of Honor tournament (which was won by Flip Gordon) and Kenny Omega, Cody Rhodes & Marty Scurll defeating Jericho & The Young Bucks in a six-man tag match aired on Fite TV and HonorClub on November 3 as a special called “Streaming for Vengeance.” The first cruise also featured podcasts, music, and comedy.

Young Bucks vs. LAX set for Chris Jericho’s cruise

A new match has been signed for Chris Jericho’s upcoming cruise in October.

Jericho made it official this afternoon on Twitter that the Young Bucks, representing Ring of Honor, would take on LAX during his Rock n Wrestling Rager cruise. Konnan initially issued a challenge to the Bucks recently on his podcast. It will be part of a larger interpromotional event featuring talent from both Impact Wrestling and Ring of Honor.

Other matches set for the cruise include another ROH/Impact battle with Marty Scurll (ROH) taking on Sami Callihan (Impact). Along with a Sea of Honor tournament featuring Ring of Honor talent there will also be what is being billed as Alpha Club vs. Bullet Club bout as Chris Jericho will team with the Young Bucks to take on Kenny Omega, Marty Scurll and Cody. None of the matches will be streamed anywhere, according to Jericho.

Tickets for Jericho’s cruise, which runs from October 27-31, are still available here. The cruise will depart from Miami and head to Nassau in the Bahamas.
