A few announcements have been made for next week’s episode of MLW Fusion.

Next Wednesday’s Fusion will feature a press conference by National Openweight Champion Alexander Hammerstone. In the main event of this week’s Fusion, Hammerstone defeated Mil Muertes to defend his title.

Hammerstone got on the microphone after defeating Muertes and said that was just step one. Hammerstone said things will be getting more interesting with step two. Hammerstone announced that he’ll be holding a press conference next week and will have some very Dynastic news. On commentary, it was speculated that Hammerstone could be going after MLW World Heavyweight Champion Jacob Fatu.

An appearance by MLW CEO Court Bauer is also set for next Wednesday’s Fusion. Plus, TJP vs. Bu Ku Dao will take place on the episode.

It was said on this week’s Fusion that Bauer has been busy with MLW’s partnership with Dragon Gate and MLW’s TV deal and will be in the house for next Wednesday’s show.

TJP turned against his protege Dao after they lost an MLW Tag Team title match to Los Parks this February. TJP vs. Dao was originally supposed to take place last month, but there was an angle where TJP was fined and suspended for attacking Dao backstage before the match could get started.

Tag Team title match set for next week’s MLW Fusion

Los Parks’ first MLW Tag Team title defense is now set.

MLW has announced that Los Parks will defend their titles against TJP & Bu Ku Dao on MLW Fusion next Wednesday. TJP & Dao became first in line for a shot at Los Parks’ titles by defeating Violence is Forever (Dominic Garrini & Kevin Ku) in a Tag Team Championship eliminator match on this week’s Fusion.

Dao pinned Ku in the eliminator match after TJP hit a frog splash from the top rope. TJP cut a brief promo after the match and said it’s a new year in MLW and he and his protege Dao are taking a stroll through Los Parks next week.

Los Parks (LA Park & El Hijo de LA Park) won the MLW Tag Team titles by defeating Marshall & Ross Von Erich on Fusion earlier this month. In storyline, Salina de la Renta was the executive producer for that episode and made tom Lawlor — a rival of the Von Erichs — the special guest referee for the Tag Team title match. Lawlor favored Los Parks throughout the match, doing fast counts for them, slow counting when the Von Erichs went for pins, and refusing to count a pin for the Von Erichs at one point.

MLW has said that the Von Erichs “have deferred their rematch with Los Parks until they’ve settled unfinished business with Team Filthy.”

Next week’s MLW Fusion will also feature Alex Hammerstone facing Contra Unit’s Mads Krugger in a Baklei Brawl. Baklei Brawls “are bareknuckle, anything goes illegal prize fights.”

MLW Fusion premieres on YouTube, Fubo Sports, and the Roku Channel at 7 p.m. Eastern on Wednesdays.

Tag Team title eliminator match set for MLW Fusion

The first challengers for Los Parks’ MLW Tag Team titles will be determined on this week’s episode of MLW Fusion.

MLW has announced that TJP & Bu Ku Dao will face Violence is Forever (Dominic Garrini & Kevin Ku) in a Tag Team title eliminator match on Fusion this Wednesday. The winning team will be first in line for a shot at Los Parks’ MLW Tag Team titles.

Los Parks (LA Park & El Hijo de LA Park) defeated Marshall & Ross Von Erich on Fusion earlier this month to win the MLW Tag Team titles. In storyline, Salina de la Renta was the executive producer for the episode and made Tom Lawlor — a rival of the Von Erichs — the special guest referee for the Tag Team title match. Lawlor allowed Los Parks to cheat throughout the match, did fast counts for them, slow counted when the Von Erichs went for pins, and refused to count a pin for the Von Erichs at one point.

MLW said that the Von Erichs “have deferred their rematch with Los Parks until they’ve settled unfinished business with Team Filthy.”

This week’s MLW Fusion will be headlined by Savio Vega vs. Richard Holliday in a Caribbean strap match for the Caribbean Heavyweight Championship. The episode premieres on YouTube, Fubo Sports, and the Roku Channel at 7 p.m. Eastern on Wednesday.
