‘20 Years Ago on TNA Impact’ debuts on The Bryan & Vinny Show tonight

Bryan Alvarez and Big Vinny V are heading back twenty years to re-live TNA Wrestling from 2005.

Starting tonight, The Bryan and Vinny Show will review episodes of TNA Impact beginning with its debut on Spike TV from October 1, 2005. The full TNA Impact episode is available on YouTube here and below this article.

“Relive IMPACT’s premiere episode on Spike TV in its entirety from 2005, featuring AJ Styles vs Roderick Strong, Jeff Hardy vs Rhino, the debut of Team 3D and more!” Reads a description of the show.

The episode was filmed at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida on September 27, 2005.

Heading into this period in TNA Wrestling, the company was still using the NWA World Heavyweight Championship as its top title, held by Jeff Jarrett at the time of this episode. AJ Styles, America’s Most Wanted, Rhino, and Jeff Hardy were also some of the promotion’s top stars.

Vinny returns with Craig and Shawn! With no Bryan, there’s no Granny this week so the show begins with a live Q&A between the three. Then it’s a recap of the first part of WCCW Christmas Star Wars from 1982 featuring a Six-Man Tag Team title match featuring Michael Hayes, Terry Gordy, and David Von Erich followed by a battle royal for a $10,000 check, at least that’s what they said. While there is no intro music, there is a special guest star: Lance Storm of WWE, WCW, ECW, Impact Wrestling and Figure Four Daily fame — not all in that order.

Vinny, Craig and Lance talk cold weather, recap the third episode of WWE Raw from their second season (January 17th, 1994), and Lance answers listener questions.
