WWE star Braun Strowman says he’s working on a TV show

WWE star Braun Strowman has an outside-the-ring project he’s working on.

In a post to his Instagram stories on Monday, Strowman revealed that he’s working on a television show. Strowman did not provide specific details about the project but said he can’t wait to announce news about it.

“I’ve missed hitting diners on the road,” Strowman wrote while sharing some video of a meal he was eating. “And I can’t wait to drop the news about a tv show I’ve been working on!!!”

The 40-year-old Strowman (real name Adam Scherr) spent nearly a year out of action after undergoing neck fusion surgery in June 2023. Now back on the road with WWE, he made his return this April and was drafted to the WWE Raw roster. Strowman has been feuding with The Judgment Day since then.

After saving Dragon Lee from a Judgment Day beatdown earlier in the night, Strowman faced Carlito on Raw last night. Strowman picked up a quick victory but was then laid out by Judgment Day in a post-match steel chair attack. The story was that Liv Morgan stepping in to protect Dominik Mysterio helped Judgment Day get the advantage.

Braun Strowman set for first WWE Raw match in more than a year

On Raw next week, Braun Strowman will compete in his first televised WWE match in more than a year.

WWE has announced that Strowman vs. JD McDonagh will take place on Raw next Monday (May 27). After undergoing neck fusion surgery in June 2023, Strowman made his return to WWE TV three weeks ago and was selected by Raw in the WWE Draft.

Strowman has been feuding with The Judgment Day since his return. He got involved when Judgment Day’s McDonagh & Finn Balor challenged Awesome Truth (The Miz & R-Truth) for the World Tag Team titles on Raw last night. After Carlito interfered for Judgment Day, Strowman helped Awesome Truth retain their titles. R-Truth pinned McDonagh after McDonagh ran away from Strowman.

Later in the show, there was a segment where Damian Priest told McDonagh to go to general manager Adam Pearce and ask for a match against Strowman next week. The match was confirmed with Strowman accepting McDonagh’s challenge on Raw Talk.

Strowman made his in-ring return in a dark match at a SmackDown event earlier this month, defeating Shinsuke Nakamura.

EnMarket Arena in Savannah, Georgia is the venue for next Monday’s Raw. It’s taking place on Memorial Day and will feature Raw’s fallout from WWE King & Queen of the Ring.

Braun Strowman is reminded of Bray Wyatt every day: ‘I can feel him, he’s still around’

Though Bray Wyatt has passed away, Braun Strowman can still feel his presence.

Strowman spoke with Chris Van Vliet for an episode of Insight that was published on Thursday. During the conversation, Strowman discussed the “very deep connection” that he had with Wyatt. Strowman feels like he can still see Wyatt and is reminded of him every day:

I see him all the time. It’s crazy — it really is crazy. Like, I don’t know how spiritual anyone is or this and that, but I had a very deep connection with him. I mean, I see him and there’s things that remind me of him and constantly, every day there’s something, I can feel him, he’s still around.

Wyatt (Windham Rotunda) died of a heart issue in August 2023. He was 36 years old.

During his career, Wyatt was a three-time World Champion and one of the most recognizable characters in WWE. Strowman told Van Vliet that being part of the Wyatt Family with Wyatt, Luke Harper, and Erick Rowan is something that changed his entire life:

It changed my entire life. I was this kid that, you know, was told he was never going to make it, never going to be anything, bullied, fat kid growing up. And having a group of guys, three talented, unbelievable human beings take me under their wing and show me the ways through this crazy business. Like, words can’t really explain how grateful I am for that, because I’m not where I am in life without those guys.

Strowman said that, from the day Wyatt saw him for the first time, Wyatt knew he needed him in the Wyatt Family. Wyatt lobbied for Strowman to be in the faction and did everything he could to make it happen.

The documentary “Bray Wyatt: Becoming Immortal” premiered on Peacock last month. It began teasing the return of Bo Dallas as Uncle Howdy. Rowan may also be returning to WWE.

Van Vliet’s interview with Strowman was conducted during WrestleMania week. Since then, Strowman has been cleared to return from the neck fusion surgery that he underwent last June.

Strowman made his return on Raw this Monday, taking part in an angle that included NFL superstar Patrick Mahomes. Strowman saved Jey Uso from an attack by Logan Paul and Finn Balor after they tried to use Mahomes’ Super Bowl rings as a weapon.

The 2024 WWE Draft concluded on Monday’s Raw episode. Strowman was drafted to the Raw roster.

Stephanie McMahon, Braun Strowman return to Raw on WWE Draft night two

Stephanie McMahon and Braun Strowman made unannounced returns to Raw on night two of the WWE Draft Monday.

In her first WWE appearance since WrestleMania 40, McMahon announced the first round selections for night two of the WWE Draft.

Although she does not have an official role with WWE as an employee, McMahon returned to the company on WrestleMania weekend this year in her first on-camera appearances since resigning from the company in January 2023.

Strowman made his return in an angle involving United States Champion Logan Paul, as well as NFL star and Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Paul and The Judgment Day were attacking Jey Uso when Strowman made his unannounced return, chasing off Uso’s attackers. Strowman was then announced as a second round selection for the Raw brand in the Draft.

Strowman has been sidelined for nearly a year after undergoing neck fusion surgery. A former Universal, Intercontinental, and Tag Team Champion, Strowman re-signed with WWE in September 2022 after being cut from the company in June 2021.

WWE announces ‘Braun Strowman: Waukesha Strong’ documentary

A new documentary featuring Braun Strowman is coming to Peacock/WWE Network later this week.

WWE has announced that “Braun Strowman: Waukesha Strong” will premiere at 10 a.m. Eastern time this Friday (December 15). The documentary will be available on Peacock in the United States and WWE Network everywhere else.

“On Friday, a special documentary featuring Braun Strowman visiting Waukesha airs as Braun Strowman: Waukesha Strong goes on demand at 10 a.m. ET,” WWE wrote.

The documentary will focus on how Strowman (Adam Scherr) has helped victims of the November 2021 Waukesha Christmas parade attack. On SmackDown this past January, Strowman wore custom boots honoring Jackson Sparks, an eight-year-old boy who was killed in the attack. Strowman teamed up with the Green Bay Packers to create the boots and auction them off for charity.

Sparks considered Strowman his hero and always wanted to meet him.

Along with auctioning off the custom boots, Strowman met with the Sparks family in January.

The Sparks family has launched the Jackson Sparks Foundation, which grants baseball dreams to children in need. In WWE’s poster for the documentary, Strowman is standing in front of a baseball field and wearing a Jackson Sparks Foundation hat.

Strowman, who underwent neck fusion surgery in June, recently got cleared to start lifting weights. Strowman has vowed to come back not only for himself but to honor the late Bray Wyatt (Windham Rotunda) and continue the Wyatt Family legacy.

Braun Strowman provides injury update, says he’s ‘coming back for Bray Wyatt’

Braun Strowman plans on continuing the Wyatt Family legacy when he returns from injury.

Strowman underwent level-one fusion surgery on his C4 and C5 vertebrae in June and hasn’t wrestled since May. During a recent interview with News18, the 39-year-old provided an update on his condition.

Strowman said:

So I just recently had my five-month check-up, with Dr. Cordoba, at the world-famous Andrews Medical Centre, where WWE graced me to have my surgery with the number one surgeon in the world. So I did my five-month check-up and got medically cleared to start lifting weights. So the bones are fusing nicely in my neck. So I had a cervical fusion on my C4 and C5. So they put a metal plate and four screws in my neck. I had four screws and a metal plate put it in my neck.

In terms of when he could return, Strowman says he’s not sure.

I don’t know yet; if I could be back in Rumble, that’d be great. But like I said, I’m at the mercy of the doctors and what they say. I’m listening to them because this was a very serious injury that I had.

The last time Strowman was on WWE programming was the Bray Wyatt tribute show in August. He appeared alongside Wyatt Family member Erik Rowan for a ten-bell salute.

Strowman said of Wyatt:

Oh, I wouldn’t be where I am in my career or life without that man. He did so much for me as far as in the business of teaching me to navigate my way through this crazy industry. He taught me how to be a better performer in the ring. But the most that I take away from my time with Bray Wyatt and the eight years that I got to spend with him was to be a better person. He’s one of the greatest human beings that has ever stepped foot on this earth.

Now, I’m a godfather to this son, so I know that I have this big responsibility and things like that that I never dreamed that I pray that I never would have to step into. But I’m honoured at the fact that I was chosen by him to lead if something were to happen to him. So it’s a truly humbling honour knowing that I have that weight put on my back and I carry it proudly. So especially with my return to WWE, like I have, I’m not only coming back for me, I’m coming back for him.

Strowman also commented on carrying on the Wyatt Family legacy now that both Wyatt and Jon Huber are no longer with us.

I mean, the Wyatt family was such a near and dear part of my family with four brothers who taught me the ways of the business with Eric Rowan, Luke Harper, and Bray and the amazing thing that we were able to capture on television, on film. And knowing that two of those guys are never going to be able to step foot in the ring again, I have that pressure that I carry, that weight that I carry proudly knowing that I’m continuing on the legacy of what we had started 10 years ago.

Before his injury, Strowman had been teaming with Ricochet in WWE. His last match was on the May 1, 2023, edition of Raw when they defeated Alpha Academy in Fort Worth, Texas.

Braun Strowman, Karrion Kross, Shotzi get Bray Wyatt tribute tattoos

Bray Wyatt left a permanent mark on Braun Strowman, Karrion Kross, and Shotzi.

Strowman, Kross, and Shotzi were among a group of people who got Wyatt tribute tattoos on Friday night. The tattoos are of Wyatt’s moth logo.

The tattoos were done at Deep Search Tattoo in Clarksville, Indiana. WWE was in Louisville, Kentucky for SmackDown on Friday.

WWE’s Director of Longterm Creative Rob Fee, who worked closely with Wyatt, also got the tattoo of Wyatt’s logo.

Last night’s SmackDown was a tribute to both Wyatt and Terry Funk. Though Strowman underwent neck fusion surgery in June, he appeared for Wyatt’s tribute. Strowman’s former Wyatt Family stablemate Erick Rowan was also brought in to celebrate Wyatt. Strowman and Rowan stood alongside each other for the 10-bell salute and moment of silence.

Wyatt (Windham Rotunda) passed away at 36 years old on August 24. His death was caused by a heart attack. Wyatt had a heart issue that was exacerbated by having COVID-19 earlier this year, but his health had recently been improving and he was getting closer to returning to the ring.

WWE star Braun Strowman undergoes neck fusion surgery

WWE star Braun Strowman is on the road to recovery after undergoing fusion surgery on his cervical spine.

Strowman revealed in an Instagram post on Friday that he underwent level one fusion surgery on his C4 and C5 vertebrae. The surgery was done at the Andrews Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center in Birmingham, Alabama.

The 39-year-old Strowman (real name Adam Scherr) wrote that it was very scary to find out that he needed this surgery, but he thanked WWE for being there every step of the way and getting him the best care possible. Strowman assured fans that he’ll be back in the ring when he’s ready.

Road to recovery starts now!!!! Level one #fusion on my c4/c5 #vertebrae was in the great hands of #DrCordover at @andrews_sports_medicine was a great experience considering. Thank you to @wwe for always taking the up most care of us. This was very scary to find out about having to have done and they were there every step of the way reassuring that I was going to have the best care possible. This will take a little bit of time to heal from. But I assure you ( in the words of the #Terminator ) I’ll be back!!!! Thank you all in advance for the well wishes.

Much Love

Adam Scherr

Strowman’s most recent match was when he teamed with Ricochet to defeat Chad Gable & Otis on the May 1 episode of Raw.

On the April 21 edition of SmackDown, Strowman suffered a concussion during a tag team match against The Viking Raiders. He was able to return to action the next week.

Strowman & Ricochet were selected by Raw in the 2023 WWE Draft.

Strowman returned to WWE in September 2022 after having been released by the company in June 2021. He’s a former Universal Champion, Intercontinental Champion, and Tag Team Champion.

Report: WWE’s Braun Strowman out of action with injury

WWE’s Braun Strowman is reportedly dealing with an injury.

PWInsider reported on Tuesday that Strowman is currently out of action with an unspecified injury. The report states that Strowman “is currently on the disabled list and is not expected back anytime in the near future.”

Strowman hasn’t wrestled since the May 1 episode of Raw. He teamed with Ricochet to defeat Alpha Academy (Chad Gable & Otis) that night.

“One WWE source believed Strowman may need to undergo a surgery but we have not confirmed the nature of the issue,” PWInsider wrote.

Strowman was briefly sidelined by a concussion last month. He suffered the concussion on the April 21 edition of SmackDown but was back in the ring the next week.

In the WWE Draft, Strowman and Ricochet joined the Raw roster. They had previously been on SmackDown.

Ricochet is set to take part in the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match this July. He qualified for Money in the Bank by defeating The Miz on Raw last night.

Braun Strowman back in action on WWE SmackDown

Braun Strowman returned to in-ring action on Friday’s SmackDown after suffering an apparent concussion on last week’s episode.

As we reported earlier this week, Strowman is believed to have suffered the concussion in a tag team bout on the April 21 SmackDown, where he and Ricochet defeated The Viking Raiders.

Strowman appeared disoriented in last week’s bout, then was pulled from last weekend’s WWE house shows as a result of the injury.

In his return on this week’s SmackDown, Strowman teamed with Ricochet against The Street Profits & LWO’s Cruz Del Toro & Joaquin Wilde in a triple threat tag match won by The Street Profits.

WWE also announced on SmackDown that Strowman will be the honorary pace car driver for Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Wurth 400 event in Dover, Delaware. That race airs on FS1 on Sunday at 1 p.m. Eastern time.

Strowman & Ricochet are part of the pool of wrestlers eligible to be drafted on night two of the WWE Draft on the May 1 episode of Raw.

WWE’s Braun Strowman out of action due to concussion

Braun Strowman is currently out of action after suffering a concussion, apparently on last Friday’s WWE SmackDown.

The news was first reported by PWInsider and confirmed by our Dave Meltzer. It’s unknown what his timetable is for a return.

Strowman teamed with Ricochet against the Viking Raiders Friday, picking up a win.

It’s unknown where the actual injury was suffered, but there was some unusual spots during the match including this one where Strowman launched Ricochet and didn’t come close to hitting anyone. He then stumbled out of the ring, but was able to finish the match.

Over the weekend, Strowman was pulled from house show tag team matches which were changed to Ricochet vs. Ivar instead.

After being released in June 2021, Strowman returned to WWE last September. The former WWE Universal, Intercontinental and Raw Tag Team Champion has yet to win a title since his return. He has primarily been a tag team wrestler since his return.
