UFC on ESPN 60 live results: Amanda Lemos vs. Virna Jandiroba

After almost a month away, the Octagon returns to its home base inside of the UFC Apex in Las Vegas for UFC on ESPN 60.

The main event is a battle of top-five strawweights looking for a title shot as third-ranked Amanda Lemos takes on fifth-ranked Virna Jandiroba. Lemos is looking for a second chance to win UFC gold as she looks for her second straight win while Jandiroba is looking to extend a three-fight win streak.

Also on the main card is a featherweight battle between Steve Garcia and SeungWoo Choi; a lightweight battle pitting recent TUF winner Kurt Holobaugh against Kaynan Kruschewsky; a flyweight bout between Cody Durden and Bruno Silva; and an exciting featherweight match-up with Doo Ho Choi taking on Bill Algeo.

> Heavyweights- Mohammad Usman (10-3, 3-1 UFC) vs. Thomas Petersen (8-2, 0-1 UFC)

Usman lands a jab early. He lands another. Petersen grabs the head for a moment but Usman escapes. They trade and Petersen lands a combination. Petersen lands again as Usman still works the jab. Petersen shoots for a takedown but Usman easily defends and they trade. Petersen lands a combination and Usman backs up. They trade with Usman landing a short uppercut. Usman lands a right hand. Petersen with a combo and lands a knee to the body. Close round. 10-9 Petersen.

They trade punches to start the second as Petersen is pressing forward. Usman lands a nice right hand and Petersen immediately scores a takedown after being hurt. Petersen has Usman flat on his back in the half-guard. Usman gives up his back but is able to get to his feet and cause separation. Usman lands a combination and continues to work the jab. Carolina with a high kick and then eats a right hand by Pudilova. Carolina with a leg kick. Carolina with a high kick. Pudilova lands a combination. Carolina with a left hand. Carolina with a left hand then a high kick then another left hand. They trade punches. They clinch and Carolina lands a pair of knees. They separate. Carolina lands a body kick. Pudilova tries to land a combo and Carolina grabs the body lock against the fence. Pudilova grabs the fence to block a takedown attempt. Pudilova gets a late takedown. 10-9 Carolina.

They get up and Ogden has the back as Radzhabov grabs the fence for a moment but Ogden drags it back down. Ogden looking to set up a choke. Ogden landing punches as he controls an arm. Before the round, Radzhabov gets a hard warning about grabbing the fence from Herb Dean. Radzhabov lands a right hand and they tie up against the fence. They break apart. Gibson tries for a takedown but Kelleher defends. They separate and trade before Gibson pushes it back against the fence. Gibson hurts Kelleher with an elbow and Kelleher slips to the mat but grabs the neck of Gibson though Gibson escapes to the top. Gibson looking for an arm-triangle choke and Kelleher taps! Gibson picks up the first-round win.

Amil with a leg kick. They trade right hands before tying up but they quickly separate. Amil lands a combo and Lee lands a counter right hand. Amil with some big punches and Lee returns fire. Amil landing big punches and Lee is hurt. Lee looks out standing as Amil is pouring it on and it is stopped! WOW, what a finish from Amil!

Algeo lands a left hand and goes for a takedown. Choi has the neck and looks for a guillotine choke but Algeo escapes and they get back on their feet. Choi gets a big takedown. He jumps on the back of Algeo and has a choke locked in but Algeo is able to wiggle out and ends up on top. They get to their feet and separate and Algeo lands some punches. Algeo with a spinning elbow that connects and he is able to score a takedown. Choi grabs the neck and lands a few knees and looks for a guillotine choke but Algeo escapes and ends the round on top. 10-9 Algeo.

Both land a combination to start. Choi lands a big right hand as Algeo lands a leg kick. Algeo with a high kick. Choi with a nice right hand to the body. Algeo with a high kick but eats a left hand from Choi. Choi with a right hand and Algeo counters with a high kick. Algeo with a spinning back fist. Choi grabs the neck and lands a knee before Algeo puts his knee on the mat to block it from happening again. They scramble apart and Choi lands a big combination. Choi with a right hand and Algeo is bleeding from a right hand. Choi lands a left hand right to the eye of Algeo and Algeo crumbles to the mat and it is all over! Big win for Choi and his first win in five years.

Durden throws a right hand but Silva ducks under and they tie up against the fence. They separate and Durden lands a right hand. Durden with a big right hand. Silva lands a jab. Durden with a right hand. Durden with a leg kick as Silva lands a right hand. Durden with a solid combination. Durden lands a right hand followed by a combo to the body. Durden lands another hard right hand. Timeout for an eye poke on Silva. They get back to action and both are swinging. Silva with two leg kicks. Durden with a spin kick to the body. 10-9 Durden.

Durden lands a big right hand and Silva was on shaky legs when he shot for a takedown. Durden looked for an anaconda choke and Silva is trying to escape. He does but Durden is still attacking the neck. They scramble and Durden is in the half-guard. They scramble and Durden still has body control as they don’t quite get to the feet. Durden lands a big knee and they separate. Silva lands a big uppercut and Durden goes down. Silva with big shots from the top and it is stopped! What a comeback from Silva to get the finish!

Holobaugh lands a right hand and they clinch. Kruschewsky lands an elbow on a brief break but they clinch back up. They reverse positions several times. Holobaugh lands an elbow as they break. Kruschewsky with a right hand. Holobaugh with a pair of right hands as Kruschewsky lands a knee to the body. They clinch back up. Holobaugh with short knees and lands one to the body as they break. Holobaugh with a leg kick. They break apart and trade before clinching back up. Kruschewsky grabs the neck and lands some knees. They break and both land as Kruschewsky lands a leg kick. They’re trading back and forth to start the second before tying up. Both land knees as they go to the fence. Kruschewsky jumps for a guillotine choke but Holobaugh defends as they get back to the feet. Kruschewsky has the guillotine locked in again as they go to the mat. Holobaugh fights out of it and they get to their feet. Kruschewsky jumps for it again but Holobaugh ends up on top. They stand and Holobaugh lands a right hand. Kruschewsky looks tired. They trade wild punches. Holobaugh with pressure as he lands some solid shots. They trade hooks and Holobaugh connects. This is turning into a slugfest as Holobaugh hurts Kruschewsky to the body. Lemos is able to reverse position and they scramble and Jandiroba locks in a kneebar. Lemos looks for a heel hook. Lemos gets on top and lands an elbow. They get to their feet and Jandiroba has the back. Jandiroba keeps back control. 10-9 Jandiroba.

Lemos gets the better of the exchange to start the second as she lands an uppercut. Lemos with a leg kick. Jandiroba shoots for a takedown but Lemos defends against the fence. They go to the mat and Lemos has more control. They get up and Jandiroba still attacking the takedown. They go back to the mat with Lemos on top. They scramble and Jandiroba has the back. Welcome to F4WOnline.com’s live coverage of UFC on ESPN+ 72: Rodriguez vs. Lemos, emanating from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The UFC kicks off their month of November with the first of three events taking place during the month, the first back at the home base of the UFC Apex in Las Vegas with a women’s strawweight headliner.

Third-ranked strawweight Marina Rodriguez looks to score her fifth straight win and secure a title shot when she battles seventh-ranked Amanda Lemos in the five-round main event. Rodriguez is coming off a decision win over Yan Xiaonan at UFC 272 in March, while Lemos is looking for her second straight win following a submission of Michelle Waterson-Gomez in July.

In the co-main event, two ranked welterweights go to battle as Neil Magny looks to become the all-time UFC wins leader in the welterweight division when he battles Daniel Rodriguez. Also on the main card is a heavyweight battle as Chase Sherman takes on Josh Parisian, a flyweight fight between Tagir Ulanbekov and Nate Maness, and a lightweight battle pitting Grant Dawson against former Olympian Mark Madsen.

They trade kicks to start. They trade leg kicks. Pascual with a body kick and Vidal counters with a right hand and a body kick. Pascual lands a combo and a knee as Vidal pushes it against the fence. They battle for position against the fence and keep switching but not a ton of action going on. They separate as Pascual lands an elbow. Vidal with a combo. She lands a body kick then a leg kick. Vidal with another leg kick then lands a knee and then a jumping knee drops Pascual to her knees and it is stopped. Impressive finish and UFC debut from Vidal.

Hadley lands a left hand and they trade jabs. They trade jabs and Hadley with some leg kicks. They trade punches and Hadley with a body kick. Candelario with a hard body kick. Hadley landing with a little more volume. Hadley with a combo. They trade combinations. Hadley lands a left hand. Hadley with a combo. They trade inside the pocket. They trade and Candelario slips to the mat but quickly gets up and they clinch for a moment but break. Hadley landing with more volume to start the second out as his combos keep connecting. Hadley with a left hand to the body. Candelario gets a takedown and is in the guard and Hadley goes for a triangle choke and is landing elbows from the bottom. Hadley still landing elbows as he’s trying to better secure the triangle choke. Candelario ends up tapping! Great finish by Hadley.

Munoz lands some right hands to start. Munoz lands a combo as Sholinian is just mainly throwing fakes to start. Munoz with a leg kick. They trade punches. Sholinian lands a right hand. Munoz lands some leg kicks and a knee to the body. Munoz with a big late combination. 10-9 Munoz.

They trade combos to start the second. Munoz connects with a hard right hand. Sholinian shoots for a long takedown but Munoz sprawls and looks to transition to the back. They scramble and Bautista stands and lands some shots from the top. Bautista gets back on top and looks for an arm-triangle choke but lets go. Dawson takes the back and is looking for an opening to work in a choke as he has the body triangle locked in. Madsen with some back punches. Dawson still landing punches from the back though there’s not a lot of damage happening to either fighter. Dawson with more punches from the back. 10-9 Dawson.

Lemos tries a takedown but ends up on the bottom and Rodriguez grabs the neck and lands from the top to end the round. 10-9 Rodriguez.

They trade kicks as they feel each other out again. Lemos lands a nice right hand. Lemos with a body kick and follows it with a jab. Lemos gets the trip takedown and has the back and locks in a rear-naked choke. Rodriguez is fighting it and Lemos lets it go. Lemos now gets to the half-guard of Rodriguez and lands some shots. Lemos with a couple of front kicks to start the third. Lemos with a combo that hurts Rodriguez. Rodriguez is backed up against the fence and Lemos starts throwing a gigantic flurry that connects and the fight is stopped. Rodriguez protested afterwards but it was the right call. Big win for Lemos.

The Octagon is back inside the UFC Apex in Las Vegas for the second straight week, this time with a strawweight main event between a pair of Brazilian sluggers.

Amanda Lemos looks to remain undefeated inside the Octagon at 115-pounds as she puts her five-fight win streak on the line against former UFC Women’s Strawweight Champion Jessica Andrade, who is moving back down to the division she once reigned on top of. Lemos is coming off a split decision win over Angela Hill in December, while Andrade is coming off a first-round knockout of Cynthia Calvillo in September.

In the co-main event, UFC legend Clay Guida looks for his second straight win as he takes on Claudio Puelles. Also on the main card is a women’s flyweight battle between Maycee Barber and Montana De La Rosa, a heavyweight battle between Alexandr Romanov and Chase Sherman and a featherweight fight pitting Lando Vannata against Charles Jourdain.

Elder is making his UFC debut as he took this fight on Tuesday. Elder goes for a spin attack right away and Parsons gets a takedown and has the back and is looking for a crank as Elder is on his feet. He slips off and Elder is on top. They sweep to their feet. Elder lands and Parsons lands a counter left. Parsons with a right hand. They tie up and Parsons with a knee. He lands another. Elder with a knee. They try to trip each other up but separate. They both land punches. Elder lands a right hand. Elder with a body kick but eats a right hand from Parsons. They trade punches. Parsons with an elbow. Parsons gets a takedown. Parsons wit some right hands from the top. Parsons looks for an arm-triangle choke but Elder is defending. 10-9 Parsons.

Parsons goes for a takedown and picks Elder up and gets a big takedown and is in the guard of Elder. Parsons gets to the full mount and lands some elbows and punches. They get to their feet. Parsons with a right hand and Elder lands a high kick. Parsons with a leg kick. Parsons gets another takedown and is in the half-guard. Parsons gets back to the mount as he lands some big elbows. Qileng hurts Else with a big left to the body and Else falls to the mat and Qileng gets on top and lands. Qileng stands and is landing shots to the body and takes the back of Else. Qileng with big punches from the back as Else is covering up. Qileng with big right hands from the back mount. This should be stopped.
