WWE’s reported plans for Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 43

WWE’s plans for Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 43 and his rival has reportedly been discussed and a backup idea has allegedly been thrown around.

While it is not confirmed or official, Self Made Pro reported that WWE is planning a feud between Reigns and Oba Femi for WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia. It has been reported that WWE is considering either Seth Rollins or Femi as Reigns’ opponent at SummerSlam, with the other potentially being saved for a WrestleMania 43 showdown. There is no confirmation on the matter. These are possible scenarios being discussed if The Rock is unable to make an appearance for WrestleMania.

In 2024, a blockbuster feud between The Rock and Reigns was teased. However, it stirred an uproar when Rock’s return was presented as poised to overtake Cody Rhodes’ WrestleMania main event spot despite winning the Royal Rumble and earning his opportunity by right. That evolved into a tag team match for Night 1 at WrestleMania that year with Rhodes teaming up with Seth Rollins against Reigns and Rock.

The Rock’s last WWE appearance was at Elimination Chamber 2025 where he was the mastermind in John Cena’s heel turn. He also played a key role in ambushing Rhodes, catching him off guard in a surprise attack in spite of showcasing a truce between the two earlier in the year.

Meanwhile, a feud between Reigns and Femi was imminently teased shortly after his World Title win at WrestleMania 42. Femi challenged him to a match and fans began chanting for Femi during Reigns’ post-show appearance. The champion addressed their cheers while putting Femi and other aspiring challengers on notice.

At Clash in Italy on May 31, Reigns defeated Jacob Fatu in a Tribal Combat match for the World Heavyweight Championship. And this forced Fatu to officially ‘acknowledge him as the Tribal Chief’ on the Raw that followed. Rhodes put his Undisputed WWE Championship on the line against Gunther at the Premium Live Event.

Later, backstage, Reigns and Rhodes had a staredown potentially teasing a match for Night of Champions on June 27 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Maxxine Dupri says WWE heel might be ‘a little misunderstood’

Maxxine Dupri addressed her conversations with Austin Theory over the past few months on WWE Raw.

Dupri told Denise Salcedo during her interview that The Vision was misunderstood and Theory was being perceived in a different light. They have been featured in the background of multiple backstage segments on WWE Raw.

“I’m a friendly girl. I get along with everyone. I’m friends with all the girls in the locker room. I’m friends with a lot of the guys on the roster.”

“I think that The Vision is doing what The Vision needs to do, and maybe they’re a little misunderstood.”

“I think that if people took the time to get to know them and get to know Austin that maybe they would feel differently. I just think that I’ve gotten to see that other side.”

She also talked about her feud with Becky Lynch, winning the Intercontinental Championship and training with Natalya at the dungeon.

“It was nuts. Being in the dungeon is so spooky. Let me tell you, [laughter] it was, I feel so blessed that I was able to train with Natalya and with TJ (Wilson) and I learned so much from them. And one of the main things I learned, and it’s what we call our dungeon lungs, is really building that stamina because when you’re in there with someone like Becky Lynch, you have to have the stamina to not only keep up with her, but to be able to reverse everything she does and be able to stay active and to have the crowd, you have to be present and have those emotions. And you can’t be present if you’re huffing and puffing, you know? So, it was really that stamina that I built there that changed the game for me.”

Dupri won the Intercontinental Championship, which also marked her first WWE title win in November 2025. She defeated Lynch amid a rivalry that had been simmering for months and eventually implodd into a title feud.

Her victory over Lynch under Natalya’s mentorship established her as a rising force in the women’s division, proving that she can hold her own against one of WWE’s most accomplished stars.

Kevin Nash praises La Parka, WCW luchadores: ‘All those guys were sweethearts’

Kevin Nash enjoyed working alongside the talented group of luchadores that were brought into WCW in the 1990s.

On his Kliq This podcast this week, Nash was asked if La Parka — a Wrestling Observer Hall of Famer primarily for his work in Mexico — was considered a top star in WCW. Nash responded by praising La Parka and all of the WCW luchadores as “sweethearts” that everyone got along with.

“He was definitely [a top star] as far as the Latin crew. He was one of the top guys. He was a good f***ing dude,” Nash said about La Parka. “I mean, everybody got along with him. But all those guys were sweethearts. So there wasn’t one of them that was a dick.”

Nash, on a past edition of Kliq This, said he remembers working one or two tag matches against La Parka when they were in WCW together. Nash thought Eric Bischoff’s idea of having the first hour of Nitro feature “car crash” cruiserweight matches was brilliant, especially when Nitro was three hours. Viewers weren’t going to turn the channel during those matches, and WCW could hype up what was going to happen later in the night.

Adolfo Tapia Ibarra as La Parka/LA Park —

The original LA Parka was played by Adolfo Tapia Ibarra, who still competes today under the name LA Park. Tapia lost the rights to the La Parka name due to a trademark dispute, with Jesus Huerta Escoboza becoming AAA’s second version of La Parka before passing away in 2020 following an in-ring accident. A third iteration of La Parka now wrestles for AAA and has made a couple of WWE main roster appearances since WWE’s acquisition of the lucha libre company.

When WWE accidentally used an image of the original La Parka to advertise a match last year, Tapia said he is not interested in joining a major American promotion again.

“I prefer to fight for my Mexican people than to return to a large company in the United States,” he wrote. “I’m staying here in Mexico.”

After his WCW stint, original La Parka’s most extensive work in the United States was his 2018-2022 MLW run where he was positioned as one of the top stars of MLW’s revival. That run included one MLW Tag Team title reign with his sons El Hijo de LA Park and LA Park Jr. Their Los Parks faction was fired from MLW in 2022 due to going off-script and getting too rough during a brawl with Jacob Fatu and Alex Hammerstone.

Sol Ruca names ‘next challenge’ following WWE Clash in Italy

Sol Ruca already has her sights set on her next dream opponent in WWE.

In an interview with Elz (the Witch) following Clash in Italy, Ruca revealed while she’s competed in her dream match against IYO SKY, she hopes to face Charlotte Flair in a singles bout.

“Now I’ve had my dream match with IYO SKY – I would love to have more with her – now I want to go against Charlotte Flair one-on-one.”

“I know we’re on different brands as of right now. I’ve seen her in the ring a few times, in tag matches, in other multi-person matches, but we’ve never had that one-on-one moment. I think that is my next challenge I want to do.”

Barely a month into her Raw debut, Ruca has squared off against Liv Morgan and SKY. Last year, when she and Zaria were still a tag team they competed on SmackDown for the Women’s Tag Team Title tournament where they collided with Alexa Bliss and Flair.

Additionally, at Clash in Italy, Ruca defeated Becky Lynch to win the Intercontinental Championship.

JBL calls Chad Gable ‘best wrestler in the world’

Shockwaves from AAA’s mask vs. mask match between the Grande Americanos last weekend continue to reverberate throughout the wrestling world. And one of the announcers on the call that night says that match, and one participant in particular, represent the best that wrestling has to offer.

John “Bradshaw”Layfield was on the mic as El Grando Americano defeated Original Grande Americano on Saturday night in Monterrey, Mexico. The Original then unmasked and identified himself as Chad Gable.

JBL didn’t mince words when discussing the match in an appearance on Busted Open Radio.

“I think Chad Gable’s the best wrestler in the world,” Layfield said. “And I don’t think it’s close. That was absolutely amazing, what he and [Ludwig] Kaiser did.”

Layfield was also impressed with how Gable changed his character to work in front of a new audience.

“It’s easy to be kind of a campy heel like he was in WWE with the videos with the Varsity Club or whatever the heck it was,” Layfield said, momentarily forgetting the name of the Alpha Academy. “But then all of a sudden to try to get heat down in Mexico, that’s different level. It’s not even the same business. He had a match down there with La Parka that was just phenomenal.”

JBL was also quick to praise Ludwig Kaiser, the man behind the El Grande Americano mask.

“Kaiser created all this,” he said. “Kaiser created all this with learning the language. Not just learning the language—as we used to say in Texas, he wasn’t learning Spanish, he was learning Mexican. The local dialect was what he was learning, which was absolutely amazing, what he’s done.”

Of course, the AAA fans themselves played a big part in the night’s success.

“Mexican fans are just passionate fans,” Layfield said. “They love their lucha libre, and they love their stars, and they get into things, and they enjoy it. And that’s what you saw, them at their very best. And I thought you saw wrestling at its very best. I was absolutely blown away by what they did in the match.”

AAA announces sponsorship deal with Ram trucks

Fresh off their biggest match since they were purchased by WWE, AAA has announced they will be sponsored by some big vehicles.

WWE announced in a press release that Ram is now the “Official Truck Partner” of AAA.

For viewers, this means the Ram logo will be shown on the ring mat and in “key jumbotron placements” at AAA events. The press release specifically mentioned the TripleMania show in Mexico City on Sunday, September 13.

The press release identified Mark “Undertaker” Calaway as AAA’s executive producer. “This partnership with Ram marks an exciting step forward for AAA as we to continue to grow and collaborate with world-class brands to elevate the experience for our passionate fans,” it quotes Undertaker as saying. “Together, we share a commitment to authenticity and passion, while celebrating the energy and spirit that makes lucha libre so special in Mexico.”

Ram had already been named the official truck of WWE, UFC, and PBR rodeo last December.

On Saturday night in Arena Monterrey, El Grande Americano defeated Original Grande Americano in a mask vs. mask match. Original Grande Americano then took his mask off, identified himself as Chad Gable, declared that the winner was the only Grande Americano, and vowed to return to AAA under the Gable name.

Chad Gable announces doucumentary series on injury recovery

Chad Gable is talking about his recent recovery.

The WWE star announced on social media Monday that a nine-part YouTube documentary series will begin airing this Friday.

“I’ve spent my entire career preaching discipline, preparation, and accountability. Then I got hurt. For the first time in my professional wrestling career, I was forced to stop and figure out who I am when the thing I’ve built my life around gets taken away. So I’m bringing you with me,” he wrote.

“Starting this Friday, follow my 9-part YouTube series as I rebuild from the ground up through rehab, training, nutrition, setbacks, victories, and everything in between. New episodes every Friday. No shortcuts. No excuses. No pretending every day is a good day. Just the work. Subscribe now to my YouTube channel and I’ll see you Friday.”

Shoulder injury kept Gable out of action for most of last year

Gable suffered a shoulder injury in June of last year that required significant time away from the ring. He returned in January at the Royal Rumble, now calling himself the Original El Grande Americano to feud with the current Grande Americano.

Their feud gained momentum in AAA, building to a mask vs. mask match that took place this past weekend at AAA Noche de los Grandes. Gable lost, forcing himself to unmask and reveal his identity. He told fans that he couldn’t overcome the Mexican spirit promised that someday he’d be back in AAA.

Bracket for WWE Queen of the Ring 2026 tournament.
Bracket for WWE Queen of the Ring 2026 tournament. (Image credit: WWE)

— Bryan and I will be back tonight talking about Raw, Ben Askren, Grande vs. Grande, Best of the Super Juniors and hopefully Ray Stevens.

— In the something I never thought would happen category, Ben Askren will return to the mat on 7/18 for an RAF match with former UFC champion Belal Muhammad on 7/18 in Milwaukee. Less than one year ago, Askren had a double lung transplant and was in a coma for more than one month. At the time it was said that he would never be able to compete in sports again. Askren said this was a one-time thing. RAF is freestyle wrestling rules and is legit competition. Askren announced this one-time return on today’s Ariel Helwani show.

— WWE King and Queen of the Ring started today. There was a lot of confusion. They are doing a series of four-way matches to advance which started on today’s show. Joe Tessitore last night started the confusion announcing a Penta vs. Oba Femi match for today on yesterday’s post show. It was actually to be Femi vs. Penta vs. Solo Sikoa vs. Carmelo Hayes. WWE today announced Jey Uso vs. LA Knight vs. Finn Balor vs. Drew McIntyre, and then apparently there was a mistake in the sense either McIntyre is not in the tournament or will be announced later, as his name was later removed.

— Matches for Raw tonight which is already over and results are up on the site:

  • Penta vs. Oba Femi vs. Carmelo Hayes vs. Solo Sikoa – King of the Ring qualifier
  • Rey Mysterio & Dragon Lee vs. Ethan Page & Rusev
  • Iyo Sky vs. Lash Legend vs. Roxanne Perez vs. Giulia – Queen of the Ring qualifier
  • Seth Rollins vs. Bron Breakker

— Next week Raw will also be early, from Paris:

  • Rollins vs. Je’Von Evans vs. Talla Tonga vs. Ricky Saints – King of the Ring qualifier
  • Liv Morgan vs. Becky Lynch vs. Alexa Bliss vs. Chelsea Green – Queen of the Ring qualifier

— A full story with details on all the TV ratings from the past week is up on the members’ site right now.

— Even with the highest ticket prices in UFC history, the 7/11 show with Conor McGregor returning against Max Holloway has very few tickets left. Those that remain range from $1,622 to $92,258.

— The NBA Finals start Wednesday with the Knicks vs. San Antonio. The Finals are expected to draw the biggest ratings for NBA Finals games in more than a decade.

  • Game one goes against Dynamite on Wednesday.
  • Game two goes against SmackDown on Friday.
  • Game three is the same day as Raw, but Raw will be over live before the game starts. However, when people in the U.S. traditionally watch Raw is when the game is going on.
  • Game four goes against Dynamite.
  • Game five, if needed, goes against Collision.
  • Game six goes against NXT, if needed.
  • Game seven goes against SmackDown, if needed.

— Based on deductive reasoning which has been confirmed as being accurate, AEW Grand Slam Mexico will either be 8/5 or 8/12. I don’t know which date yet but it should be announced somewhat soon.

— A judge ruled that BJ Penn is mentally fit to proceed to trial for criminal cases against him. Penn will be back in court on 8/28. Penn is accused of several counts of abuse of a family or household member and violating multiple restraining orders by Lorraine Shin, his mother, who Penn had claimed was killed and replaced by an imposter.

— CMLL tonight in Puebla has Mascara Dorada & Flip Gordon & Star Jr. vs. Difunto & Soberano Jr. & Zandokan Jr., plus Stigma & Xelhua vs. Los Calaveras Jr. I & II and Jarochita vs. Lady Frost.

— Brandon Thurston reported that the plaintiffs in the class action lawsuit against WWE for moving their PPVs to ESPN Unlimited, telling people they were free and then actually costing most $30 (I think this lawsuit is a real stretch by the way), are moving to get discovery going. WWE has attempted to stall that out and they have filed an argument that WWE can’t be trusted to preserve evidence, citing last week’s ruling in the shareholders lawsuit. WWE is attempting to get the case moved to arbitration based on a clause in the ESPN Unlimited subscribers agreement that says issues have to be resolved through arbitration.

— If you have any questions about Ray Stevens or Stevens stories please send them to [email protected].

— We’re looking for your thoughts on Clash in Italy and the Saturday AAA show, so you can leave a thumbs up, thumbs down or thumbs in the middle along with a best and worst match to [email protected].

— Netflix has put up the Grande Kaiser vs. Grande Gable AAA mask vs. mask match from Saturday.

— Mistico appeared in the celebrity video announcing the members of Mexico’s World Cup men’s team that came out today.

— Best of the Super Juniors continues tomorrow morning at 5:30 a.m. Eastern time:

  • A Block: Robbie X (8) vs. Daiki Nagai (0)
  • B Block: Kushida (4) vs. Yoshinobu Kanemaru (6)
  • A Block: Ryusuke Taguchi (6) vs. Francesco Akira (8)
  • B Block: Daisuke Sasaki (6) vs. Sho (8)
  • A Block: Valiente Jr. (4) vs. Nick Wayne (8)
  • B Block: Robbie Eagles (8) vs. Jakob Austin Young (6)
  • A Block: Master Wato (10) vs. Jun Kasai (8)
  • B Block: Taiji Ishimori (8) vs. Hyo (6)
  • A Block: Titan (10) vs. Kosei Fujita (8)
  • B Block: Yoh (8) vs. El Desperado (10)

— I still haven’t seen the Stephanie Han vs. Holly Holm boxing match from Saturday. But had Holm won, she would be the first boxer in history to win a world title after being inducted into the Hall of Fame and the second-oldest (44) women’s world champion of all time. Almost everyone who saw it felt Holm was robbed of the decision. The fight was live on ESPN and ratings for this should come out tomorrow along with SmackDown and Raw ratings.

— Ram has expanded its sponsorship with WWE to include AAA. The Ram logo will appear on the mat and the big screens, and AAA wrestlers will be doing Ram marketing.

— The first Wednesday Arena Mexico Mitos del Ring show has top matches of Neon & Star Jr. vs. Averno & Euforia, Dragon de Fuego & Dragon Legendario & Dragon Rojo Jr. vs. Cobarde & Felino Jr. & El Hijo de Stuka Jr., and El Hijo de Blue Panther vs. Virus.

— UFC announced for 7/25 in Abu Dhabi:

  • Magomed Ankalaev vs. Khalil Rountree Jr. – main event
  • Umar Nurmagomedov vs. David Martinez – co-main event

— Maple Leaf Wrestling TV tapings on 6/12 and 6/13 at St. Clair College in Windsor, Ontario feature Stu Grayson vs. Jonathan Gresham for the MLP title, plus Gisele Shaw, Billy Gunn, Rhino, Johnny TV, Dani Luna, Jay Lethal, Mascara Dorada, Bishop Dyer, CapitĂĄn Suicida, Evil Uno and more.

— Shoko Nakajima vs. Shotzi will be on Saturday’s MLW Fusion show for the women’s title.

— David Schultz turned 71 today. Brian Adias turned 66. Jackie Fulton turned 63. Ian Rotten turned 56. Scott Andrews turned 59. James Storm turned 49. Ross Von Erich turned 38. Big Bully Busick was born on this day in 1954. Diamond Lil was born on this day in 1944. Angie Minelli was born on this day in 1962 (who is the niece of Donna Christanello). Sylvester Ritter, aka Junkyard Dog, died 28 years ago today at 45. James Dudley died 22 years ago today at 94. Cal “Prince Pullins” died 20 years ago today at 72. Tommy Rogers of The Fantastics died 11 years ago today at 54. Rockin’ Rebel Chuck Williams died eight years ago today at 52. Melanie Pillman died four years ago today at 56. (thanks to Tony Richards and Ken Raftery)

— Arman Tsarukyan was reported in places as saying he’s fighting Charles Oliveira in September. He later said that was a misinterpretation and said that he may be doing that, but it was not final.

— MJF wrestled for WrestlePro yesterday in Rahway, NJ at the Rec Center, beating Pat Buck in the main event. He won via submission. Among those also on the show were Richard Holliday, Dan Maff, Mark Sterling, Jordan Oliver, Alec Price, Bear Bronson, Jay Lethal, Janai Kai and Max Caster. (thanks to Joseph Ruggiero)

Mick Foley praises AEW boss Tony Khan, bids farewell to WWE

Mick Foley is excited to join an environment in AEW where everyone is encouraged to take risks and swing for the fences.

In a video posted to his social media accounts on Monday, Foley reflected on now being more than a week removed from his AEW debut at Double or Nothing. Foley thanked everyone who made it a special night, including the fans who gave him more than just a nostalgia pop. To Foley, the reception felt like fans truly believe he can make a difference in AEW.

The 60-year-old hardcore wrestling icon, who chose not to renew his WWE Legends contract due to political differences, expressed how grateful he is for every opportunity WWE has given him. He then looked toward the future by sharing why he thinks Tony Khan is such a unique boss.

“In no way am I here to throw stones at WWE. I love the company, I always will. I will always be deeply appreciative for every opportunity they afforded me,” Foley said. “But there’s something unique about seeing the owner of the company just so obviously happy and excited. Mr. McMahon had a different way of doing things, but it wasn’t with that type of joy [laughs].”

Foley said AEW feels like WWE felt in the Attitude Era — everyone is pulling for each other and knows that failure is inevitably going to happen sometimes when you’re trying to hit a home run.

“It just seems like, to me, the AEW wrestlers are out there and they are playing to win because it is understood that failure is part of the process,” he said. “I’ve seen so many people over the years almost petrified to walk through that curtain because they didn’t know whether they would get the thumbs up or the thumbs down, figuratively speaking. Tony’s excited. Tony loves what he’s doing. He’s happy to be there, and I think that type of enthusiasm makes me feel enthusiastic.”

Mick Foley on his AEW role —

At Double or Nothing, Foley co-hosted the preshow alongside Renee Paquette. He has officially signed an AEW deal for that broadcasting role but considers himself a “Swiss army knife” who can help in a variety of ways.

“I consider myself a Swiss army knife, and I can be used in a lot of different ways,” he said. “I’m excited about the future. And I’m excited about wrestling in a way that I haven’t been in a few years. And I want to thank AEW fans and the AEW product for helping me fall in love with wrestling all over again.”

It remains to be seen how physically involved Foley will get in AEW. He did take part in an angle at Double or Nothing where MJF gave him a low blow.

WWE confirms Raw wrestler ‘traded’ to SmackDown

We now have official confirmation that Finn Balor is a member of the WWE SmackDown roster.

When the King of the Ring 2026 bracket was unveiled, Balor was curiously listed as a member of the SmackDown brand. That was addressed during today’s Raw in Turin, Italy, where WWE stated that Balor has been “traded” to SmackDown. The announcement was made during a commercial break segment where Byron Saxton was interviewing Judgment Day’s Dominik Mysterio & JD McDonough.

It wasn’t stated if Raw will be receiving a SmackDown wrestler in return for Balor.

Balor was formerly a member of Judgment Day before splitting off from the faction and turning babyface. Joining SmackDown moves Balor away from that Judgment Day story and into a new direction.

Finn Balor in WWE King of the Ring —

Balor’s first-round match in King of the Ring will pit him against Jey Uso, LA Knight, and Royce Keys. The winner advances to face either Seth Rollins, Je’Von Evans, Talla Tonga, or Ricky Saints in the semifinals.

Oba Femi is the only wrestler to have advanced in the tournament so far, winning a fatal four-way match on Raw today.

The winner of King of the Ring earns a World Championship shot at SummerSlam. On SmackDown, Cody Rhodes currently holds the Undisputed WWE title.

First name advances to WWE Queen of the Ring semifinals

IYO SKY is moving forward in her quest to be crowned WWE’s Queen of the Ring for 2026.

The tournament began on Raw in Turin, Italy today with SKY winning a fatal four-way match to advance to the semifinals. Her opponents in the bout were Giulia, Roxanne Perez, and Lash Legend — and a moonsault onto Giulia got the victory for SKY.

In the next round, it will be SKY facing either Bayley, Raquel Rodriguez, Jacy Jayne, or Kiana James.

SKY is attempting to become the third-ever Queen of the Ring in WWE history, following victories by Jade Cargill and Nia Jax in 2025 and 2024. Zelina Vega also won a similarly named Queen’s Crown tournament in 2021 before WWE secured rights to the Queen of the Ring trademark.

This year’s Queen & King of the Ring are set to conclude at WWE Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia on June 27. World title shots at SummerSlam will be awarded to the winner of each tournament.

Updated WWE Queen of the Ring bracket —

Thirteen competitors are still in contention to win Queen of the Ring: SKY, Bayley, Rodriguez, Jayne, James, Liv Morgan, Becky Lynch, Alexa Bliss, Chelsea Green, Sol Ruca, Lyra Valkyria, Charlotte Flair, and Cargill.

The updated bracket can be seen below:

WWE airing El Grande Americano mask vs. mask match on Netflix

WWE is hoping to get as many eyes as possible on the El Grande Americano mask vs. mask match from Lucha Libre AAA.

The rivalry between El Grande Americano (Ludwig Kaiser) and Original El Grande Americano (Chad Gable) culminated with Kaiser getting the victory at AAA Noche de Los Grandes this past Saturday. The match has become an instant classic, earning Kaiser and Gable praise from fans and their WWE peers. WWE management apparently thinks very highly of the match as well, with it being announced during Raw today (June 1) that, immediately after the episode ends, WWE will be airing an encore presentation of the mask vs. mask match on Netflix.

Kaiser vs. Gable originally aired on WWE’s YouTube channel, where AAA’s TV is broadcast for free every week for viewers outside of Mexico, Central America, and South America (except Brazil). AAA airs on Fox Mexico in those markets.

The Kaiser vs. Gable rivalry is likely to be in strong contention for 2026’s Feud of the Year in all of professional wrestling. Though Gable originally introduced the character, Kaiser assumed the Americano gimmick last year when Gable was forced out of action due to injury. The two started feuding after Gable returned, and Kaiser became a huge babyface in Mexico during the process.

Kaiser’s May arrest briefly put this mask vs. mask match in jeopardy, but the state of Florida did not object to his motion to continue traveling domestically and internationally while the battery case plays out. A pre-trial conference in the case, where the alleged victim is a male resident of Kaiser’s apartment complex, is scheduled for July 16.

AAA’s next major events —

Coming out of Noche de Los Grandes, AAA has Triplemania 34 — its biggest annual event — set to be held over two nights on September 11 and 13. Night one is set for Las Vegas, with night two being held in Mexico City.

AAA could potentially add another big show to its upcoming schedule with Verano de Escandalo 2026 rumored for July 25.

First competitor advances to WWE King of the Ring semifinals

It didn’t take Oba Femi very long to bounce back from his loss to Brock Lesnar at WWE Clash in Italy.

The 2026 King of the Ring tournament began on Raw today with Femi defeating Solo Sikoa, Penta, and Carmelo Hayes in a fatal four-way match to advance to the semifinals. His opponent in that round is set to be either Dominik Mysterio, Bron Breakker, Trick Williams, or Damian Priest.

Femi got the victory with a Fall From Grace on Sikoa. During the match, WWE teased that interference from Talla Tonga was going to remove Femi from contention — but Femi was able to return after Tonga had sent him into the crowd. He emerged from the barricade and took out Tonga, Hayes, and Penta before pinning Sikoa.

In a post-match promo, Femi addressed his loss to Lesnar from Sunday. He took Lesnar’s best shot and is still standing the next day. He reminded Lesnar that they are tied up at 1-1, and he’ll see Lesnar down the line.

Updated WWE King of the Ring bracket —

King of the Ring is Femi’s immediate focus, though, with the tournament set to play out on Raw and SmackDown over the next few weeks in advance of the finals taking place at Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia on June 27. The Queen of the Ring finals are also being held at that PLE, with the winners earning World title shots at SummerSlam.

Femi, Dominik, Breakker, Williams, Priest, Seth Rollins, Je’Von Evans, Talla Tonga, Ricky Saints, Jey Uso, LA Knight, Royce Keys, and Finn Balor are the competitors still in the running to win King of the Ring.

– As the recap ended, we got the arrival of World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns, flanked by Jey and Jimmy Uso.

The Tribal Chief kicks off Raw

The Turin crowd cheered the arrival of the self-styled OTC, fresh off a Tribal Combat victory last night at this same venue. Commentary discussed whether or not Jacob Fatu would adhere to the Tribal Combat rules and acknowledge Reigns as his Tribal Chief, as well as the M.F.T.s staring down the World Champion at the conclusion of Clash in Italy.

Once Reigns and the Bloodline arrived to the ring and the music died down, the Italian crowd serenaded them with many a chant.

Reigns said he had been waiting for this for a long time, because there was no day quite like Acknowledgement Day. Jey Uso demanded that Jacob Fatu show up this instant because he was late for the ceremony. That cued Fatu himself showing up and taking his time to get to the ring.

Reigns demanded that Fatu get to the acknowledgment already, but Fatu approached Jey Uso and stared him down before Reigns reminded him. Fatu approached Reigns knew what he was getting into when entering Tribal Combat, both what would happen if he won and if he had lost. Fatu acknowledged that he took a loss to Reigns last night and he was a man of his word.

“Last night, I lost to my Tribal Chief… but I didn’t lose to your punk ass, Jey,” said Fatu.

Fatu said he was going to keep it 100 by stating that he acknowedged Roman Reigns. He then kneeled and extended a hand as Reigns took it. “You don’t understand this right now, Jacob, but I love you,” said Reigns.

Jimmy Uso said that this was a warning shot to the locker room that they were the twos, and that the Bloodline were the ones. Everyone in the ring threw up the Ones to the sky as the segment ended.

I don’t think you have to look far to get my thoughts on all of this, namely the fact that WWE going back to the Bloodline well, no matter how illogical it may seem, is starting to turn into their version of WCW milking the nWo cow until it ran dry. This stuff with Roman getting the band back together, so to speak, and the teases of them facing off against the M.F.T..s does not interest me at all. The very confusing heel/face dynamic with Reigns and his family does not help matters at all, either. The crowd cheers Reigns as a conquering hero, but very little has changed with him character-wise, and now he’s back to square one as the gaslighting, bullying Tribal Chief character, but with more aura farming.

Just a total mess, is what I’m getting at here. A rough start for tonight’s show.

– We learned that an encore presentation of Original El Grande Americano vs. El Grande Americano from Noches de los Grandes on Saturday night would be shown immediately after Raw on Netflix.

King of the Ring First Round Fatal Four-Way: Penta vs. Oba Femi vs. Solo Sikoa (w/ Talla Tonga) vs. Carmelo Hayes

As Femi made his entrance, his four opponents went at him inside the ring, but all got taken down before Femi struck his pose bathed in the light.

Once the bell rang, Sikoa, Hayes, and Penta all tried to team up against Femi, to no avail. Running uppercuts to Hayes and Penta on opposite corners, but Sikoa intercepted him. The right hand from Femi sent Sikoa out of the ring. Meanwhile, Penta and Hayes fought inside the ring. Penta Driver attempt countered by Hayes, who turned it into the no-look fadeaway legdrop soon after. Near-fall as Penta kicked out.

Penta’s superkick was met in kind with a Hayes superkick, but the leaping springboard clothesline was intercepted by a Penta superkick. Outside the ring, Talla Tonga stared down Femi, who went back in the ring and hit Hayes and Penta with a chokeslam. We took a break with Femi in command of this match.

Back from the ad break as Hayes and Penta exchanged chops in the ring, while Sikoa stepped inside and hit both men with a clothesline. During the break, Sikoa disposed of Femi by throwing him into the steel steps, which allowed him to briefly gain control. However, Femi stepped inside and hit Sikoa with a clothesline. A superkick by Sikoa was followed by a First 48 from Hayes, as Femi missed with a running shoulder attack. Outside the ring, Sikoa and Talla Tonga threw Femi into the ringpost, followed by a rough-looking running big boot that barely sent Femi over the barricade. Tope con hilo by Penta on Sikoa, but Hayes got him with the Fosbury Flop. In the ring, it was non-stop action as Sikoa missed with the Samoan Spike and got hit with Hayes’ Dirty Diana. Penta with the Penta Driver on Hayes. One, two… Sikoa broke it up in time.

Inside the ring, Sikoa noticed Oba Femi rising from the barricade, as the big man took out Talla with a big boot. Back suplex over the announce table to Talla as he then sent Sikoa across the ring. Femi then finished it off with Fall from Grace on Sikoa for the three.

After the match, Femi took the mic and said that Brock Lesnar questioned him whether he could take an ass-whooping. Femi said that after taking an ass-kicking and seven F5s, he took Lesnar’s best shot and was still standing. He promised to win the King of the Ring as he then noted that it was 1-1 in his series with Lesnar. “I’ll see you, down the line,” said Femi.

Oba Femi def. Solo Sikoa, Carmelo Hayes, & Penta via pinfall to advance to the King of the Ring Semifinals

I didn’t like the decision of Femi dropping the rematch with Lesnar last night at Clash in Italy, but I think WWE did as well as they could to make sure Femi’s credibility wasn’t completely shot with this match tonight. He looked very dominant here and it helped him quickly recover after last night. Whether or not Femi will win King of the Ring is honestly up in the air, especially as the allure of a rubber match between him and Lesnar at SummerSlam in Minneapolis could be too strong to ignore for Triple H.

– We got a recap of Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker’s history as the two will face off in the Raw main event later tonight.

– Sol Ruca was seen walking to the ring. Meanwhile, Maxxine was once again chatting with Austin Theory in the background. We’d be hearing from Ruca coming up next.

Sol Ruca celebrates her Women’s Intercontinental Title win

The new Women’s Intercontinental Champion was introduced to a great ovation from the Turin crowd. As Ruca entered the ring, she took the mic as Cathy Kelley got ready to ask her the questions.

Ruca was congratulated on her win last night as she was asked that if she thought if she’d be standing as a champion just a month after joining the Raw roster.

Ruca said that she believed that she could be a champion, but most importantly, all the fans believed that she could do it. From the bottom of her heart, Ruca offered a simple “grazie” for the support. The Turin crowd erupted in cheers. Ruca gave props to Becky Lynch, stating that she gave her a chance to test herself against the very best, and she proved Lynch wrong. And it wasn’t just her saying it, everyone was saying it.

Ruca said that we deserved a fighting champion, and that’s exactly what she would be. Ruca said that people might be ready to underestimate her, but at the end of it all, anyone who steps up to her, they’ll hear the same thing that we heard last night: Sol Ruca is your Women’s Intercontinental Champion.

Pretty standard promo from Ruca to establish her title reign. We’ll see if she’s able to turn the recent criticisms her main roster tenure on Raw has gotten so far around in due time.

– We got after-show footage of Cody Rhodes running into Roman Reigns from last night, as the two shared a tense staredown. Elsewhere, Reigns gave Jey Uso orders to win the King of the Ring and potentially take “the other one” (i.e. Cody Rhodes’ Undisputed WWE Championship) at SummerSlam. As Jey left, Reigns pulled Jimmy Uso aside and told him that Jey needed to do this alone.

Rey Mysterio & Dragon Lee vs. “All Ego” Ethan Page & Rusev

Page and Dragon got this match going as the latter ducked the former’s attempts at grapples. Rusev tagged in and took a chop from Dragon, which didn’t do much. Rusev fired himself up and proceeded to stomp away at Dragon in the corner. This was followed by a foot choke along the bottom ropes on a defenseless Dragon. Page re-entered the match and kept punching at Dragon. The powerbomb attempt by Page was reversed by a hurricanrana into the corner. Over-the-top wrecking ball dropkick on Page by Dragon, followed by a running dropkick for the near-fall. Page got sent into the ropes as Rusev tagged in. The unaware Dragon Lee nearly got ambushed by Rusev, but he rolled him up for pin attempt. Rusev had to kick out at two-here as he and Dragon stared each other down. To a loud ovation, Mysterio wasabout to tag in, but Page took him down from the apron. Rusev got wind of this and grabbed Dragon for a spinning slam as we took a timeout.

Back from the break as Dragon sent Rusev over the top rope to the outside and Ethan Page had to stop him with a leglock. The tag to Rusev, who stomped Dragon and slapped Mysterio in the corner, which allowed the ref to be distracted as Rusev and Page stomped on Dragon. Rusev threw Dragon into the corner, but that allowed Dragon to hit Page with a forearm. Rusev’s attempt to play defense was stopped as a superkick floored his foe. As both Rusev and Dragon Lee were down, they headed to their respective corners and made the tag. Mysterio stormed in with an enzuigiri on page, followed by the senton and a springboard press. One, two…. Page kicked out.

Big boot by Page stunned Mysterio as Rusev stepped into the ring and found himself sent out of the ring by a Mysterio hurricanrana. Page tripped up and placed in position for the 619. Rusev grabbed at Mysterio’s leg to stop it. Page sent Mysterio into Dragon Lee, as the roll-up was kicked out at two by the veteran. Mysterio’s hurricanrana was turned into a Boston Crab, but Dragon broke it up. Dragon sent Rusev into Page with a hurricanrana as flew into the Bulgarian with a tope suicida. In the ring, Mysterio connected with 619 and the splash to pick up the win.

Rey Mysterio & Dragon Lee def. Rusev & Ethan Page via pinfall

Fun, relatively low-stakes match. I’m amazed that Mysterio still moves as fluid as he does even at the age he’s at right now.

– Adam Pearce spoke with Penta, who had a match set up with him and Rey Mysterio for next week. LA Knight then confronted Pearce, upset about the recent Bloodline love-in, and stating that Pearce was playing favorites with Roman Reigns and his family. Knight took note of Pearce putting up the ones and stating it made him sick.

– A highlight reel of the Noche de los Grandes Mask vs. Mask match was shown ahead of the actual match itself being shown in its entirety tonight after Raw on Netflix. An odd choice. We then got a recap of what happened afterwards and the “Original” El Grande Americano unmasking as Chad Gable.

Queen of the Ring First Round Fatal Four-Way: IYO SKY vs. Roxanne Perez vs. Giulia vs. Lash Legend

Roxy, SKY, and Giulia went after Legend right away as we kicked off. Giulia was caught by Legend, but a SKY dropkick took her down. Perez struck SKY from behind and battered her with punches, but soon found himself hit with strikes. SKY got sent out of the ring by Perez, as Legend came back in the ring and took her out. Guillotine by Giulia on Legend, but she was placed on the top turnbuckle. Legend held SKY and Perez, but a dropkick fromt he top rope by Giulia took everyone down. We took a commercial break as Giulia hit a back suplex on SKY.

Back from the commercial as Giulia and Perez drove Legend into the steel steps, as the former hit a dropkick on the stunned Legend. Perez and Giulia apparently had an alliance, but the former instead sent the latter onto the commentary table. In the ring, Perez was hit with a shotgun dropkick by SKY, who began to stir as the pace picked up. Another dropkick from SKY as Giulia joined the fray. Double missile dropkick by SKY was followed by her signature taunt. Perez and Giulia were trapped in the corner as SKY barreled into the both of them with the Bullet Train. Legend snuck up but got hit with the double stomp from SKY. Arrivederci Knee to Legend, but Perez broke up the count. Perez then got Giulia and SKY with a double DDT.

In the corner, Perez’s Pop Rox attempt was stopped by SKY as she headed up top looking for the Over the Moonsault. Giulia interecepted her and had the double underhook. Perez recovered and joined the fray. This led to Legend recovering and getting both Giulia and Perez with a double powerbomb. Lash Extension on both Giulia and Perez, but SKY stomped to break the count. SKY then picked up the victory with the Over the Moonsault on Giulia.

IYO SKY def. Giulia, Lash Legend & Roxanne Perez via pinfall to advance to the Queen of the Ring Semifinals

This was a solid match that I think had the wrong winner. I think it would’ve been nice for Giulia to pull off the surprise upset win here.

– Maxxine Dupri was a bit upset with Adam Pearce for being left out of the Queen of the Ring bracket. Pearce said when an opening came up, Dupri would be informed. After Pearce left, Otis pointed out that Dupri was talking a lot with Austin Theory, reminding her that Theory was bad news. Dupri stated taht she knew what she was doing.

– We got a video about Danhausen and the New York Knicks, who are playing in the NBA Finals this week against the San Antonio Spurs, perhaps due to Danhausen uncursing them.

– Cathy Kelley interviewed Bayley & Lyra Valkyria backstage. The interview was interrupted when Valkyria took notice of Sol Ruca walking. She pointed out how the stipulation of no longer being challenged for the Women’s Intercontinental Title no longer applied as she called her shot against Ruca, much to the confusion of Bayley.

Next Monday on Raw (Paris, France)

  • King of the Ring First Round Fatal Four-Way: Seth Rollins vs. Ricky Saints vs. Je’von Evans VS. Talla Tonga
  • Queen of the Ring First Round Fatal Four-Way: Liv Morgan vs. Becky Lynch vs. Alexa Bliss vs. Chelsea Green

– Roxanne Peres was upset about her loss earlier as Liv Morgan talked about her and Dominik Mysterio’s King and Queen of the Ring chances, apparently not caring about everyone else in the process.

Seth Rollins vs. Bron Breakker (w/ Paul Heyman)

As the Turin crowd sang Rollins’ theme, this main event got underway with a staredown. That was before Rollins was forced into the corner by Breakker. The former World Champion responded by punching away at Breakker, but he was thrown for the German suplex. Rollins responded with a Slingblade, followed by the clothesline. Rollins kept the momentum going with a pair of suicide dives. On the third attempt, Breakker caught him and sent him over the barricade and into asome people sitting at rinsgide as the feed headed to commercial.

The Raw main event returned from break as Breakker grabbed Rollins by the chin and mocked him. He paid for that with open hand strikes from Rollins that sent him into the corner. Breakker answered with another German suplex, that forced Rollins out of the ring. At ringside, Breakker drove a knee into the gut of Rollins before he threw him in the ringpost. Breakker then launched himself for a high flying elbow to the face of Rollins. Breakker then smashed Rollins’ face repeatedly on the face of the Italian commentary table before he rearranged the furniture. Rollins was sent back in the ring afterwards, but Breakker caught him and got lifted in the military press position. Rollins countered it into a reverse neckbreaker. Rollins hit Breakker with a series of clotheslines that finally kept Breakker down. The knee to the jaw by Rollins as he headed to the apron and launched himself for the springboard swanton. One, two… no!

Rollins went to the top rope with Breakker still trying to recover. Breakker cut off Rollins and punched him at the top rope. This led to the Frankensteiner on Rollins, but that wasn’t enough to put this one away. Breakker had Rollins dead to rights next to the commentary table, but the dive was intercepted with a clothesline as we took another commercial break on the sports-style replay of that previous spot.

Back from the break as Breakker punched at Rollins in the corner, but he got lifted in position for a sitout powerbomb. Another kickout by Breakker. The action spilled out of the ring yet again as Rollins pulled the steel steps and put Breakker on the steps. Rollins ascended the steps, but took too long as it allowed Breakker to push him into the post. In the ring, Breakker’s ascent to the top rope was intercepted by Rollins, who hit the superplex and Falcon Arrow on the rollthrough. Again, Breakker managed to kick out. Rollins hit Breakker with the superkick. The Curb Stomp, but Breakker got him with the pop-up Spear. Rollins rolled out of the ring as Breakker confronted him and placed him on the announce table. Breakker looked for a Spear from the Italian announce table, but Rollins reversed it into a Pedigree through the English commentary table.

Rollins hit another Pedigree on Breakker but that still wasn’t enough to put Breakker away. Rollins again had Breakker in position for the Stomp, but Austin Theory tried to interfere. He got sent over the top rope as Breakker missed with the Spear. The Stomp from Rollins, no, as Theory got him with the Tag Team Title belt. Montez Ford ran in and leapt over the turnbuckle to take out Theory, but a Spear from Breakker.

In the ring, Breakker got Rollins iwth the Spear, but that wasn’t enough as Rollins kicked out. Rollins with the Stomp, but Paul Heyman put the foot of Breakker on the bottom rope’s. Heyman kept taunting Rollins, which got the Vision’s former leader’s attention. Rollins got in Heyman’s face as Breakker looked to hit Rollins with the “Super” Spear. Rollins got out of the way, which caused him to hit Heyman with the Spear instead. Meanwhile, Rollins had the World Tag Titles around his waist, which worked out in his favour as it acted as a shield when Breakker got him with the Spear, which would make Bret Hart proud. One final Stomp, and Rollins got the win here.

Post-match, Rollins took note of Montez Ford at ringside and seemed to show appreciation for his assistance as he celebrated the win to end Raw, as commentary tossed to the Noche de los Grandes Mask vs. Mask match encore.

Seth Rollins def. Bron Breakker via pinfall

************

I was surprised by how much this main event entertained me. The closing moments actually worked out well and Rollins pulling a page out of Bret Hart’s playbook to counteract Breakker’s stomp was well done. The two fatal four-way matches were also enjoyable, too.

This was an alright edition of Raw, but the Bloodline stuff being reruns from 2023 with a lot more “aura farming” is just not compelling in 2026, and it highlights a major weakness of Triple H’s booking approach. Yesterday, he claimed that the WWE landscape had changed post-Clash in Italy. The problem with that statement is that the landscape that changed certainly wasn’t for the better, and the reheated leftovers of the Bloodline certainly won’t be moving the needle as it did three years ago.

WWE reveals main event for Raw’s Clash in Italy fallout episode

A grudge match is set to headline Monday’s Clash in Italy fallout edition of WWE Raw.

WWE is back at Inalpi Arena in Turin for Raw today. The show has a special afternoon start time for viewers in the United States, airing live at 2 p.m. Eastern time on Netflix. Adam Pearce, the general manager of Raw, posted a video running down the lineup for the show and revealed that Seth Rollins vs. Bron Breakker will be the main event.

Rollins vs. Breakker is a rematch from Backlash, where Breakker picked up what WWE called the biggest win of his career so far. The former faction mates have been feuding since Breakker kicked Rollins out of The Vision last October, though both Rollins and Breakker have spent some time out of action due to injuries since then.

An Acknowledgement Ceremony for Roman Reigns following his Clash in Italy victory over Jacob Fatu is also set for Raw. Plus, the King & Queen of the Ring tournaments begin, and there will be a tag team match pitting Rey Mysterio & Dragon Lee against Ethan Page & Rusev.

WWE Raw (Monday, June 1) —

  • Seth Rollins vs. Bron Breakker
  • Will Jacob Fatu acknowledge World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns during Acknowledgement Ceremony?
  • King of the Ring tournament begins with Penta vs. Oba Femi vs. Solo Sikoa vs. Carmelo Hayes
