AEW Collision ratings up with return to Saturday night

Saturday night’s AEW Collision — the 100th episode in show history — averaged 310,000 viewers on TNT, up 8.8 percent from the previous week’s episode that aired on a Thursday.

Despite the increase, this is the second-lowest audience total for Collision since March 1, when it went head-to-head with WWE Elimination Chamber. The viewership is down 27.2 percent from the last time the show aired on Saturday on June 22.

Collision finished third on the prime time cable charts with a 0.10 rating in the 18-49 demo. That’s up 25 percent from last week’s Thursday airing and is steady with the previous Saturday broadcast. It’s tied for the second-best rating the show has done in that category since April 26.

There was no major sports competition on the holiday weekend with even UFC having the night off. ESPN’s coverage of the Savannah Bananas’ Banana Ball event led the prime time cable chart with a 0.22 rating in 18-49.

As compared to the same week in 2024, Collision’s overall viewership was up 1.3 percent while its 18-49 rating was up 25 percent. This year’s ratings do not include viewership on Max, so the year-over-year increase is higher than it appears based on the cable numbers.

This week, Collision will air a live episode on Thursday ahead of AEW’s All In pay-per-view taking place on Saturday.

Listed below are the last 11 weeks of viewership totals and 18-49 demo ratings for Collision, as well as the 10-week average in both categories. This week’s show was down 25.7 percent in overall viewers and 9.1 percent in 18-49 as compared to the recent averages.

WWE SmackDown ratings drop on Fourth of July

With the show airing on the Fourth of July holiday, WWE SmackDown’s numbers predictably took a hit on Friday night.

The pre-taped episode averaged 1.166 million viewers on USA Network, down 19.6 percent from the previous week. It’s the lowest audience total SmackDown has done since moving back to USA last September.

Smackdown drew a 0.32 rating in the 18-49 demo. That’s down 22 percent from last week and ties the November 15 episode for the lowest rating the show has done in that category on USA Network.

Starting with this episode, SmackDown moved back to two hours after having been a three-hour show since the start of 2025. It finished ninth in prime time on all of television in terms of total viewers on Friday night and ranked third in 18-49 on a day in which TV viewing was way down due to the holiday. SmackDown was first on cable in the demo, and the only network programming to beat it was coverage of the Macy’s Fourth of July parade on NBC that had two separate airings listed.

As compared to the same week in 2024, when the show still aired on Fox, SmackDown’s overall viewership was down 48.3 percent while its 18-49 rating was down 51.5 percent.

Dynamite drew a 0.16 rating in the 18-49 demo, an increase of 6.7 percent from last week. Despite the week-over-week improvement, this ties the second-lowest rating the show has done in that category since the May 21 episode.

As compared to the same week in 2024, Dynamite’s overall viewership was down 15.1 percent while its 18-49 rating was down 30.4 percent. The 2025 numbers do not include viewership on Max.

Listed below are the last 11 weeks of viewership totals and 18-49 demo ratings for Dynamite, along with the 10-week average in both categories. This week’s show was down 7.1 percent in viewers and 5.9 percent in 18-49 as compared to the recent averages.

Taped WWE NXT episode draws lowest viewership of 2025

With this being Fourth of July week in the United States, NXT was taped in advance rather than airing live. It drew a 0.15 rating in the 18-49 demo, down 6.3 percent from last week and tying the lowest number the show has done in that category since May 20. NXT finished ninth on the English-language broadcast networks of the 11 programs in prime time but did beat everything on Fox.

There biggest sports competition on the night was World Cup qualifying on TNT and MLB on TBS, averaging 0.16 and 0.09 ratings in 18-49 respectively.

As compared to the same week in 2024, when the show still aired on USA Network, NXT’s overall viewership was up 15.7 percent while the 18-49 rating was identical, so the show continues to skew older on broadcast television as opposed to cable.

Listed below are the last 11 weeks of viewership totals and 18-49 demo ratings for NXT, as well as the 10-week average in both categories. This week’s show was down 8.1 percent in viewers but steady in 18-49 as compared to the recent averages.

WWE SmackDown viewership down, 18-49 demo rating up

In the 18-49 demo, SmackDown topped all of television with a 0.41 rating. That’s up 7.9 percent from last week and ties the second-best rating the show has done since April 25.

Dynamite drew a 0.15 rating in the 18-49 demo. That’s down 28.6 percent from last week and matches the lowest number the show has done in that category since April 23.

There was competition last night from the NBA Draft airing on ABC and ESPN opposite Dynamite. Full ratings information for the draft are not available at this time, but it was expected to be the top program on all of television in the 18-49 demo last night.

As compared to the same week in 2024, which also went against NBA Draft coverage, Dynamite’s overall viewership was down 9.9 percent while the 18-49 rating was down 31.8 percent. This year’s numbers do not include people watching on Max, which is the likely explanation for the TBS audience skewing so much older in 2025.

Listed below are the last 11 weeks of viewership totals and 18-49 demo ratings for Dynamite, as well as the 10-week average in both categories. This week’s show was down 2.5 percent in overall viewers and 11.8 percent in 18-49 as compared to the recent averages.

AEW Collision ratings up in return to Saturday night

Back in its regular Saturday time slot, the June 21 episode of AEW Collision averaged 426,000 viewers on TNT. That’s up 7.3 percent from the previous episode that aired on Wednesday in a four-hour block with Dynamite.

This is the second-highest viewership total for the show since April 26.

In the 18-49 demo, Collision finished 13th on the prime time cable charts with a 0.10 rating. That’s up 11.1 percent from last week’s Wednesday broadcast and is also tied for the second-best rating the show has done in that category since the April 26 episode.

As compared to the same week in 2024, Collision’s overall viewership was down 0.7 percent while the 18-49 rating was down 28.6 percent. This year’s numbers do not include viewership on Max, which is likely why the cable TV audience for Collision skews so much older in 2025.

Listed below are the last 11 weeks of viewership totals and 18-49 demo ratings for Collision, as well as the 10-week average in both categories. This week’s show was down 0.2 percent in overall viewers and 9.1 percent in 18-49 as compared to the recent averages.

As compared to the same week in 2024, Dynamite’s overall viewership was up 46.6 percent while its 18-49 rating was up 31.3 percent. This was AEW’s Mexico debut with Dynamite being held at the historic Arena Mexico.

Listed below are the last 11 weeks of viewership totals and 18-49 demo ratings for Dynamite, along with the 10-week average in both categories. This week’s show was up 18.6 percent in overall viewers and 31.3 percent in 18-49 as compared to the recent averages.
