Prior to tonight’s NXT going on the air, WWE taped this week’s episode of 205 Live.

– Mansoor defeated Brian Kendrick

Mansoor won after reversing a powerslam into a roll-up.

– NXT Cruiserweight Champion Lio Rush defeated Raul Mendoza in a non-title match

This was a rematch from last week’s 205 Live. Rush also won that match, and he defeated Mendoza here after hitting his rotating Roll of the Dice move.

Rush will defend his Cruiserweight title against Angel Garza on NXT next week. Garza defeated Tony Nese in a number one contender’s match on NXT tonight. After the match, Rush came out to the stage and offered Garza a handshake. Garza slapped Rush instead.

WWE announced on Monday that this week’s 205 Live would take place at Full Sail University. This week’s SmackDown and next Monday’s Raw are both being taped at the Manchester Arena in Manchester, England on Friday.

205 Live airs on the WWE Network at 10 p.m. Eastern time on Fridays.

WWE 205 Live TV taping spoilers: Number one contender’s match

Prior to last night’s SmackDown in Atlanta, Georgia, three matches were taped for this week’s episode of 205 Live.

– Brian Kendrick defeated Jack Gallagher

Drew Gulak tried to get involved, but Akira Tozawa made the save for Kendrick.

– Gran Metalik defeated an enhancement wrestler

The name of Metalik’s opponent wasn’t shown. This lasted about a minute. TJP attacked Metalik after the match and stole his mask, then the rest of the Lucha House Party made the save for Metalik and covered up his face with a towel.

– Mustafa Ali defeated Tony Nese in a number one contender’s match

This was made last week after Ali defeated Hideo Itami in a falls count anywhere match. Nese had won a fatal five-way against Cedric Alexander, Lio Rush, Metalik, and TJP the week before that.

They had a really great match — probably the second best of the night behind AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan’s WWE Championship match on SmackDown. Alexander came out and helped Ali to his feet. Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy stared down Ali and Alexander at the top of the ramp.

WWE 205 Live TV taping spoilers: Fatal five-way match

Before SmackDown 1000, two matches were taped for tomorrow’s episode of 205 Live.

A fatal five-way match was taped for this week’s main event. Tony Nese defeated Cedric Alexander, Lio Rush, TJP, and Gran Metalik. Rush, who is from the area, was over with the crowd in Washington D.C.

Drake Maverick announced the fatal five-way match on Twitter earlier in the day and said that the winner would solidify themselves as a top contender to Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy. Nese also got a win in the main event of last week’s 205 Live by defeating Alexander.

In the opening match of tonight’s tapings, Akira Tozawa defeated Drew Gulak by disqualification. The DQ came when Jack Gallagher interfered. Brian Kendrick then came to Tozawa’s aid after the match. Gulak and Gallagher turned against Kendrick and beat him down in an angle that aired on the October 3 episode of 205 Live.

WWE 205 Live TV taping spoilers: Cruiserweight title match

Here are tonight’s 205 Live spoilers from Tulsa, Oklahoma. These matches were taped before SmackDown tonight, and will air on the WWE Network tomorrow at 7 p.m. EDT.

The matches started around 6:15 p.m. CDT, and the show was advertised to start at 6:30 p.m. CDT. As a result, some people were not in their seats when the matches started.

– TJ Perkins defeated Lince Dorado

Perkins took off Dorado’s mask, causing him to cover his face. This allowed Perkins to roll up Dorado for the win around the ten minute mark. Crowd was said to be into Dorado.

– Cedric Alexander defeated Drew Gulak to retain the WWE Cruiserweight title

This went long, about twenty minutes. The crowd was said to be pretty hot for the match. Alexander retained the title after hitting the lumbar check.

These were the only two matches taped for 205 Live tomorrow. Any backstage promos or segments were not shown to the live audience.
