Jey Uso had to get involved when a fan took it a little too far with Roman Reigns during the WWE Clash in Italy 2026 event this past weekend.
Reigns was interacting with fans after his match against Jacob Fatu at the PLE when a fan grabbed his hand from the crowd. The fan then would not let go, even when Reigns tried to walk away, and Uso had to step in and slap the fan’s hand off the World Heavyweight Champion.
There have also recently been issues with fans “stalking” performers at hotels and generally not knowing what the boundaries are between a quick moment and, quite frankly, taking the piss.
Wrestlers having to get involved when fans take it too far is seemingly ramping up even more in recent months. TMZ Sports recently had footage of a fan filming CM Punk’s wife AJ Lee and Bayley as they hugged and said goodbye to each other at the hotel after WrestleMania this year. Punk knocked the man’s phone to the ground after Bayley clearly asked the fan to move away. Punk was visibly angry, but the incident did not escalate any further.
Granted, an incident at an actual show is slightly different, but with these interactions becoming more and more commonplace it likely won’t be long before something goes horribly wrong.
You can check out the moment with Roman via the X post below:

The age stats
The average age of the ten wrestlers on this card was 36.2 years. Brock Lesnar, at 48, was the veteran of the night by a distance. Sol Ruca, 26, was the youngest on the card.
WWE leaned on its established names up top, Reigns at 41, Lesnar at 48, Cody Rhodes at 40, while handing the evening’s only championship change to one of its youngest performers.
Roman Reigns is still the Tribal Chief and still the World Heavyweight Champion.
Reigns defeated Jacob Fatu in a tribal combat match on Sunday at WWE Clash in Italy. The finish saw him spear his cousin through a table set up in the corner before hitting another spear and getting the three-count to retain.
As a result of his loss, Fatu must now acknowledge Reigns as the Tribal Chief on Monday’s edition of WWE Raw, which will also take place in Turin, Italy.
After the bout, Jimmy and Jey Uso came to the ring, and Jey put the Ula Fala on Reigns. As Reigns and The Usos were leaving the ringside area, they spotted Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Talla Tonga at ringside. Reigns turned to The Usos and said he had something for them as well.
After Fatu got out of the ring, he glanced over briefly at the MFTs before following behind The Usos and Reigns toward the stage.
Jacob Fatu was injured earlier this week at a WWE Live Event, one of the shows in Great Britain as part of the build up for the Clash in Italy. When it first happened, PWInsider confirmed that there was concern within WWE that Fatu might not get cleared to compete:
Jacob Fatu did get hurt on last night’s WWE event in Great Britain, PWInsiderElite.com can confirm. We can confirm there is concern he may not be cleared in time. The company is mulling over alternative plans in the event they need to pivot.
Jacob Fatu Injury latest and replacement
According to a new report from False Finish, one of the plans in place was to have Drew McIntyre appear instead of the Samoan Werewolf:
“False Finish has learned that one of the alternative plans was Drew McIntyre.”
McIntyre has been off of WWE programming since WrestleMania 42. The former WWE Champion headed to Scotland after ‘Mania to film scenes for the upcoming Highlander reboot, which is being directed by Chad Stahelski. Filming for this has now apparently finished, so he would’ve been free to take Fatu’s place if needed in Turin.

WWE Clash in Italy 2026 is set to take place this afternoon, and it appears as though one of the biggest matches on the card will still be going ahead.
There were worries that Jacob Fatu was injured earlier in the week at a house show and he wouldn’t be able to compete. According to a new report from Fightful, Fatu is still expected to be facing Roman Reigns in a Tribal Combat match:
“We can confirm previous reports that Jacob Fatu did appear to be injured during the week, and WWE did discuss alternative plans for the Roman Reigns match at Clash in Italy. As of now, Fatu vs. Reigns is still scheduled to take place during Clash in Italy.“

According to a new rumor from TRNBCKL Gold, the former Patreon for PWN and formerly affiliated with BodySlam, the early rundown for the show is apparently as follows:
Cody Rhodes vs. GUNTHER
Rhea Ripley vs. Jade Cargill
Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi

Roman Reigns vs. Jacob Fatu
WWE Clash in Italy Card Rundown
We’re working to try and get more on this, however for the the time being, we will be treating it as a rumor until we can get something more concrete.
The TRNBCKL Gold Patreon and affiliated entities (such as BodySlam) have previously broken legitimate news in the past, but recent changes over there have meant that the Patreon is now listed under “TRNBCKL Gold” after a stint as “Rope Break.” While we believe that it is still the same main group of people reporting this information, we will not be posting anything they break as news, only rumors, until we’re able to verify it ourselves going forward.

Italy is officially set to host its first-ever WWE PLE.
It was announced today that WWE Clash in Italy will be held in Turin on Sunday, May 31. The show is being held at Inalpi Arena in Turin, which will also host Raw the night after the PLE. The shows are part of a larger European tour that includes stops in Italy, Spain, France, Portugal, and the United Kingdom.
This Italy PLE was expected to be part of WWE’s 2026 plans ever since Nick Khan first mentioned it last September. WWE confirmed the news today via a video from Paul “Triple H” Levesque.
For the first time ever… Clash in Italy 🇮🇹 Sunday, May 31 … Turin, Italy Inalpi Arena
“Ladies and gentlemen, the Clash is back,” Levesque said. “For the first time ever, a WWE PLE will take place in Italy. Sunday, May 31 from the Inalpi Arena in Turin, Italy, it will be Clash in Italy. It’s all part of a massive European tour through May and June. Tickets will go on sale March 13. Your pre-sale will be March 11. Italy, I just have to know one thing — are you ready?”
Barcelona, Strasbourg, Lisbon, Madrid, Bologna, Rome, Florence, Paris, and London are the other cities WWE is visiting on this summer 2026 European tour. Three Raw episodes, two SmackDowns, and five house shows are taking place in addition to the PLE.
The First-Ever PLE in Italy, CLASH IN ITALY, will take place on Sunday, May 31, as the WWE European Summer Tour 2026 comes to Italy, Spain, France, Portugal and the U.K.
