Wrestling Observer Radio with Dave Meltzer and myself, guest co-host Garrett Gonzales, is back. 

We first talk about UFC 248, which featured one of the greatest fights of all-time and one of the not-so greatest fights all-time. We break down Weili Zhang’s title defense against Joanna Jędrzejczyk and compare it to other great fights in MMA history. We go over Israel Adesanya’s boring main event battle with Yoel Romero. And then we look at the rest of the mostly fun card.

For the rest of the show, we look at the 40th Annual Wrestling Observer Newsletter awards. I read the awards and Dave gives his insight and we reflect on the year of 2019. We sprinkle in some recent news about a lawsuit against WWE and then quickly mention the newest match for WWE’s Elimination Chamber and the main event for Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite.

Wrestling Observer Radio returns with Dave Meltzer and myself, Jim Valley, as our guest co-host.

Despite the rumors, the audio from both live Wrestling Observer Radio Q&A sessions as part of the Chris Jericho Rock’n’Wrestling Rager were not lost at sea.
