WWE Hall of Famer Tammy “Sunny” Sytch has been bailed out of jail following her arrest in relation to a fatal car crash.
Court records show that Sytch was bailed out of jail at 12:14 p.m. Eastern time on Saturday. A $227,500 surety bond was posted by a Volusia County, Florida bail bondsman service.
Sytch was arrested on Friday and is facing nine charges relating to a March 25 car accident where a 75-year-old man was killed. Prior to Sytch being arrested, police suspected Sytch of DUI in the crash and were waiting for toxicology results to come back.
Sytch is facing the following charges:
DUI causing the death of a human or unborn child (second degree felony)
Driving with a suspended or revoked license and causing death or serious injury (third degree felony)
Seven counts of DUI with damage to person or property (first degree misdemeanor)
Last month, the Ormond Beach Police Department issued a press release about the fatal crash:
On March 25th, at approximately 8:28 p.m., a crash involving three southbound vehicles took place on United States Highway 1 (North Yonge Street), just north of State Road 40 (Granada Boulevard). Two of the vehicles were stopped for the traffic signal, with one stopped behind the other. The third vehicle was southbound on United States Highway 1. That vehicle failed to stop and crashed directly into one of the stopped vehicles, causing that vehicle to then crash into the other vehicle in front of it.
The driver of the vehicle who failed to stop was identified as Tamara Lynn Sytch. Ms. Sytch was transported to Halifax Health Medical Center for treatment, and later released after a search warrant was approved and executed to obtain a sample of her blood for investigation of impairment.
The driver of the second vehicle involved was transported to Halifax Health Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. He has been identified as Julian Lafrancis Lasseter of Daytona Beach Shores, Florida.
The driver and passengers in the third vehicle suffered injuries, but were not transported to the hospital.
Tammy ‘Sunny’ Sytch has been arrested in relation to a fatal car accident from March.
PWInsider reported this evening that Sytch was arrested tonight in Ormond Beach, Florida on nine charges, including DUI causing the death of a person (DUI manslaughter), driving with a suspended or revoked license causing death or serious injury, and seven counts of DUI causing damage to a person or property. Sytch could face up to 30 years in prison if convicted. Her bond is currently $200,000 for the DUI manslaughter charge and $27,500 for the remaining charges.
An Ormond Beach Police Department report stated that on March 25, Sytch, who does not have a valid driver’s license, crashed into Julian L. Lasseter’s stopped vehicle at “a high rate of speed”, causing his death. Upon impact, Lasseter crashed into a third vehicle. The driver and the passengers of the third vehicle were not hospitalized, but complained of neck, back, side, and head injuries following the collision.
Authorities had not arrested Sytch in the days after the incident as they were awaiting toxicology reports from a blood sample obtained while Sytch was hospitalized.
A civil lawsuit was filed on April 12 against Sytch and the owner of the vehicle Sytch was driving, boyfriend James F. Pente, by the estate of Lasseter. The suit alleges negligence on the part of Sytch and Pente and is seeking ‘in excess of’ $30,000.

The Ormond Beach Police Department has provided an update on the criminal investigation into Tammy “Sunny” Sytch.
The WWE Hall-of-Famer is suspected of DUI in a fatal car crash that led to the death of 75-year-old Julian L. Lasseter on March 25. According to police reports, Sytch’s vehicle crashed into the back of Lasseter’s while he was stopped at a light. He was taken to hospital where he later died.
While the responding police officers suspected Sytch was inebriated at the time of the collision, they later told media they were awaiting the results of toxicology reports before announcing any potential charges.
The department has since released a statement to PW Insider noting that they have received part of the toxicology report.
“We have received part of the toxicology report. If charges are filed they will not be until the investigation is completed. We will update the press release once a decision is reached.”
Sytch denied culpability over the weekend on social media. While a police report states two witnesses saw Sytch driving at a “high rate of speed,” she contends that she was not going very fast at the time. Sytch also noted that she believes Lasseter died of a heart attack. She also appears to be claiming that she suffered a seizure at the time of the crash.
Hmmmabout 10 since I was slowing down to. Light. But he had a heart. Attack. Nothing to do with my seizure
Lasseter’s family filed a civil suit against Sytch last week. They are also suing Sytch’s boyfriend, James F. Pente, for lending her his car. Sytch does not have a valid driver’s license.

Tammy ‘Sunny’ Sytch is being sued over a fatal car incident she was involved in last month that led to the death of a 75-year-old man.
PWInsider reports that a civil lawsuit has been filed against Sytch and boyfriend James F. Pente by the estate of Julian L. Lasseter, who was killed on March 25 in Ormond Beach, Florida. The lawsuit is seeking ‘in excess of’ $30,000.
According to PWInsider, the lawsuit alleges negligence by Sytch. In addition, Sytch’s boyfriend Pente is ‘vicariously liable’ for Sytch’s actions by allowing her to use his vehicle. The lawsuit further states that that the Lasseter family has sustained medical and funeral expenses as a result of Sytch’s actions, and Lasseter’s adult daughter “has suffered, and will suffer into the future, the loss of her father’s companionship, instruction, guidance, and mental pain and suffering as a result of her father’s death.”
Neither Sytch or Pente have responded to the lawsuit.
An Ormond Beach Police Department report stated that Sytch, who does not have a valid driver’s license, crashed into Lasseter’s stopped vehicle. Witnessess reported that Sytch’s vehicle was traveling at “a high rate of speed”. Lasseter then crashed into a third vehicle. The driver and the passengers of the third vehicle were not hospitalized but complained of neck, back, side, and head injuries.
Sytch has not been arrested for the incident, as authorities are currently awaiting toxicology reports from a blood sample obtained while Sytch was hospitalized. An online obituary for Lasseter has been published.

Tammy “Sunny” Sytch is alleged to have caused an automobile accident that led to the death of a 75-year-old man.
According to documents obtained by TMZ, the incident occurred on the evening of March 25 along U.S. Highway 1 in Volusia County. Sytch was driving a 2012 Mercedes and collided with the rear of a 2013 Kia Sorento that was stopped at a stoplight. The driver of the Kia was transported to hospital where he later died.
Following the impact, the Kia Sorento then crashed into the back of a 2011 GMC Yukon, which had also been stopped at the stoplight. The occupants of the Yukon complained of back and neck injuries but were not transported to hospital.
Two witnesses to the crash told police that Sytch was driving at a “high rate of speed.” Police responding to the scene suspected she was operating her vehicle under the influence of alcohol. A blood sample was taken and the results are pending. The toxicology reports could lead to criminal charges being pressed against Sytch.
The 49-year-old has already been arrested twice in 2022 for separate incidents. She was arrested in February for DUI and reckless driving. In January, she was arrested for allegedly having made death threats to a man while wielding a pair of scissors.
Sytch has numerous DUI charges on her record. She was arrested for the offense three times in 2015 and sentenced to 90 days in prison. Further DUI charges stemmed from incidents on January 23 and February 2, 2018, leading to her spending several months in prison. Sytch was arrested for DUI again in October of 2018. She would eventually serve over a year in prison before being released on February 25, 2020. Following her release, she was arrested for eluding a police officer and driving with a suspended licence and was sent back to prison before being released on June 9, 2021.
Tammy “Sunny” Sytch was arrested earlier this week and charged with 11 offenses.
As first reported by WrestlingNews.Co, Sytch’s arrest took place Thursday in Keansburg, New Jersey. According to New Jersey state records, she has been charged with the following:
Operating under influence of liquor or drugs
Driving after driver’s license/registration suspended/revoked
Careless driving: Likely to endanger person or property
Reckless driving
Failure to wear seat equipment — responsibility of driver
Driving without a license
Failure to possess driver’s license
Failure to possess driver’s registration
Failure to possess driver’s insurance card
Failure to install interlock/drive car without interlock
Operate motor vehicle during license suspension — second violation
A court date is listed for March 10.
This is the second time in 2022 the 49-year-old has been arrested. In January, Sytch was charged with making terroristic threats and unlawful possession of a weapon after allegedly threatening a man with a pair of scissors.
Since 2018, Sytch has been charged with violation of a domestic violence restraining order, contempt, eluding police, various DUI offenses, and driving a motor vehicle while under a license suspension.
Sytch was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2011. She’s been announced as appearing at this year’s WrestleCon convention in Dallas during WrestleMania week.
WWE Hall of Famer Tammy “Sunny” Sytch allegedly threatened to kill a man with scissors prior to her arrest on Thursday.
TMZ reports that Sytch threatened her partner in a domestic dispute, raising the scissors towards the alleged victim while threatening him. The report states that a police officer witnessed the incident, and that Sytch “appeared to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol” in the officer’s estimation.
Sytch was arrested in New Jersey on Thursday and charged with making a terroristic threat, plus two weapons charges related to the scissors. She is reportedly still in jail following the incident.
Sytch faces up to 11 years in prison if convicted of all three charges related to Thursday’s incident.
In total, Sytch has been behind bars for nearly three years combined since 2018, with that time stemming from various DUI charges, violation of a domestic violence restraining order, contempt, eluding police, and driving a motor vehicle while under a second license suspension.
WWE Hall of Famer Tammy “Sunny” Sytch was arrested today in New Jersey on three charges.
Sytch was arrested this morning in Keansburg, New Jersey on two third-degree weapons charges, plus one fourth-degree charge of making terroristic threats, then taken to the Monmouth County, New Jersey jail.
If convicted on all three counts, Sytch faces the possibility of up to 11 years in prison.
A TMZ report notes that the weapons charges do not appear to be firearm-related.
Sytch has been in and out of prison since serving eight months on DUI charges in 2018, spending a total of nearly three years behind bars since then.
Her most recent prison stay ended in June 2021, when she was released by court order after serving time for operating a motor vehicle during a second license suspension, eluding a police officer, and contempt/violation of a domestic violence restraining order.
Sytch, 49, was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2011.

UFC has from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Wednesday night on ESPN and ESPN+. The prelims go head-to-head with AEW and NXT. Dan Ige vs. Calvin Kattar is the main event and the full show is covered in the current issue. Tim Elliott vs. Ryan Benoit and Jimmie Rivera vs. Cody Stamann, Molly McCann vs. Talita Santos, Abdul Razak Alhassan vs. Mournir Lazzez and John Phillips vs. Khamzat Chimaev are the top bouts. The main card starts at 10 p.m. Eastern. It being on ESPN means it will hurt the wrestling shows even more, because last time they ran on a Wednesday it made a big difference, particularly to AEW. But since it’s only the prelims, it could be worse. Last time it went had-to-head it was an ESPN+ show only, which means really the hardcore UFC fans saw it but the casual fans didn’t. There’s also a big NASCAR race on FS1.
With all the COVID issues, there have been a ton of changes. Jared Gordon, who faces Chris Fishgold, and is from the same gym as Gilbert Burns, has had none of his planned cornermen able to join him because they all tested positive. Paul Felder, who at one point wasn’t coming to any of the shows because of being in contact with someone who tested positive, but then tested negative ad came, will be announcing the entire show except the Gordon vs. Fishgold match and was given permission by UFC to not announce the one bout and be in Gordon’s corner.
PWInsider reported Tammy Sytch was arrested again at 4:42 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, eluding a police officer, and violation/contempt of a domestic violence restraining.
