Tag title match announced for next week’s WWE SmackDown

The WWE SmackDown Tag Team titles will be on the line on the show’s February 10 episode.

Braun Strowman and Ricochet defeated Imperium in the finals of the Tag title contender’s tournament on Friday’s episode to earn a shot at The Usos on next week’s show in a match for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship.

Jey Uso did not appear on this week’s SmackDown, selling the storyline that Sami Zayn turning on The Bloodline at the Royal Rumble caused dissension within the group’s ranks. Roman Reigns repeatedly asked Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa on Friday’s show if they had heard from Jey since he walked out as The Bloodline attacked Zayn and Kevin Owens at last week’s Rumble, but Jimmy and Sikoa said that Jey had refused to communicate since walking out.

An Intercontinental Championship number one contender’s match is also set for next week’s SmackDown. It will be Rey Mysterio taking on Madcap Moss, Karrion Kross, and Santos Escobar in a four-way to determine Gunther’s next IC title challenger.

Next week’s lineup:

WWE SmackDown, Friday, February 10 —

  • SmackDown Tag Team Championship: The Usos (c) vs. Braun Strowman & Ricochet
  • Intercontinental Championship number one contender’s match: Rey Mysterio vs. Madcap Moss vs. Karrion Kross vs. Santos Escobar
