Left My Wallet: Sean Grande and Garrett Gonzales on AEW, NBA, more

‘Left My Wallet’ is back with a super-sized edition featuring Boston Celtics play-by-play announcer Sean Grande and some NBA talk with our very own Garrett Gonzales.

Garrett joins me as special co-host to discuss his Golden State Warriors and the fallout from all that happened with them in the past week. GG gives his take on what Kevin Durant will do next, what Steve Kerr needs to do to protect Steph Curry, Klay Thompson’s injury, who do they bring in, and more on his beloved Bay Area hipsters. We then talk the Anthony Davis trade, Kyrie, and the love we both share for the lineal heavyweight boxing champion, Tyson Fury.

I am then joined once again by Celtics play-by-play man and former Bellator MMA announcer, Sean Grande.

Sean is a huge wrestling fan and longtime subscriber to the Observer. He gives his take on AEW, Jon Moxley, his thoughts on Double or Nothing, AEW on TNT, touring and more. He then discusses his time with Bellator, what his vision was for his play-by-play and the entertainment aspect of the company, his thoughts as he was calling the Kimbo Slice/Dada 3000 bout, and why he left the company.

Of course, we have to talk some Celtics. Sean pulls no punches in talking about Kyrie Irving, what the Celtics need to do to return to their 2018 postseason form, a great story on Kevin Durant almost signing with the C’s, a great draft story that led Boston to getting Kevin Garnett, and more.

Left My Wallet: Sean Grande

“Left My Wallet…” returns with the voice of the Boston Celtics and former Bellator announcer, Sean Grande.

Sean is a lifelong wrestling fan and longtime subscriber to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. We discuss what lured him to Bellator, the difference in calling MMA from other sports, and why he left. We then discuss his early memories of pro wrestling, being there live for an AWA title change, having been at every Bob Backlund title defense at MSG, Vince McMahaon’s phone number being in the phone book, and his friendships with Mick Foley, JIm Ross, and CM Punk.

Sean also shares his thoughts on Punk in the UFC, and some fun stories about the night Foley won his first WWE championship.

Finally, the talk turns to the NBA and, of course, the Celtics. Sean shares his top priority for the Celtics this offseason (no, it’s not LeBron), LeBron’s impending free agency, the outlook for the Celtics next year, and so much more!

This is truly an interesting and unique talk and Sean shares some stories he’s never told before. It’s a different side of the voice of the Boston Celtics so check it out and enjoy!

JNPO: Sean Grande on Tito vs. Chael, Superfly Snuka, and the last 18 months

It’s a weekend of big personalities on big stages here in the United States and MMA wasn’t about to be left in the dust on this inauguration weekend.

Former UFC superstars Chael Sonnen and Tito Ortiz will do battle in Los Angeles, CA, Saturday at Bellator 170, and who better to talk about that show than the man who will be calling the action cageside?

Bellator MMA & Boston Celtics play-by-play man Sean Grande dropped by Josh Nason’s Punch-Out for a 45-minute conversation that hit on the following topics and more:

– The nostalgic feel of Ortiz vs. Sonnen, and how this fight is different than other “fun” fights the promotion has had

– Sean’s first 18 months in the promotion and what he’s learned

– Some surprises that are in store for those watching Saturday, exclusive to JNPO listeners

– Sean’s thoughts on Jimmy Snuka, the Royal Rumble, and more.
